From the event coordinator Karen, to the whole team at Shenandoah Lodge, we can’t thank everyone enough for making our wedding so perfect. The entire process from our first tour to the final moment, there was care and transparency. Karen and her team really went the extra mile and allowed us to just enjoy our day without having to worry about anything. They made everything so easy and helped us along the way, answering any questions we had and providing advice based on years of expertise. We can’t recommend them enough, and we’re excited that we can return to Regions 117 for our anniversary and relive all the memories.

Shenandoah Lodge is a lakeside wedding venue located in Lake Frederick, VA. Spanning 900 acres of natural woodland, this setting offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the renowned Shenandoah Valley. The expert staff strives to provide excellent service and everything you require to make your special day unforgettable.
The property boasts three event spaces for couples to utilize on their special day. The lodge's Lakeside Lawn is an outdoor ceremony location that can comfortably accommodate up to 160 guests. This spacious area features breathtaking views of Lake Frederick and serves as an ideal ceremonial setting. The second outdoor space the team at The Shenandoah Lodge offers is the stylish and more private Garden Terrace. This fenced-in area is enhanced by ambient string lights and rustic decor. The third space the lodge offers is an indoor stylish Event Center that can facilitate up to 180 guests. This open-concept space features exposed wooden beams and sparkling chandeliers overhead, adding a sense of rustic elegance to the room's atmosphere. In addition to the property's ceremony and reception spaces, the lodge boasts two get-ready suites for couples to utilize on the morning of their wedding. The Skyline Room, ready with vanity mirrors and direct access to the ladies restroom and the Paddock Room, a rustic space surrounded by wooden wine lockers and includes a 55" television for you to watch or attach a game system to while getting ready. Both spaces are uniquely designed and serves as wonderful preparation and relaxation spaces for wedding parties.
Shenandoah Lodge offers a variety of wedding packages and related services. Our professional Certified Wedding Planner and event team aims to help you coordinate your dream wedding event with ease. With their industry knowledge and attention to detail, they can ensure that your event runs according to plan. Chairs, tables, flatware, linens, and glassware are all provided by the venue. The team can also take care of the set-up and clean-up of the event area. A wide range of drinks are available at the bar, including champagne, premium liquor, and house wines. Parking, wheelchair access, and WiFi are also available.
The culinary team at Shenandoah lodge can create custom menus to suit your event. Using tasty ingredients and fresh produce, they can prepare a variety of delicious dishes for you to savor. From serviced buffet stations and seated dinners to trays of hors d’oeuvres and tasty late-night snacks, there is something for everyone. The skilled chefs can also cater to dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. You are welcome to bring your own wedding cake along for a sweet finish to your special banquet.

We booked this place for 150 guests after looking for a high value, reasonably-priced venue in the Shenandoah Valley area. We were immediately impressed by Savannah and Karen who knew every detail of the venue and how we could best structure the package to fit our vision. It’s really hard to imagine that you could get a better deal for your money anywhere else.
The team did a phenomenal job making sure every detail happened according to plan. The food and service at the wedding were both top-notch, easily the best wedding cuisine we've ever experienced! The bottom line is, on the day of the event, Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club/Regions executed every detail flawlessly. Up to this day, we continue to receive compliments from friends and family about how awesome and beautiful the wedding was and how much fun they had. privileged to join the brides family in searching for a venue. The Shenandoah Lodge served as an excellent choice when looking for an all-inclusive wedding event where preliminary events and activities as well as rehearsal, ceremony, and reception could be held on one site. The amount of wedding planning stress that was alleviated by the professional staff and day-of coordinator cannot be expressed in words. The venue offered three on-site options for ceremony location and adequate size accommodations for the rehearsal and dinner. My son and daughter-in-law's ceremony was held by the lake. Gorgeous, clean, professionally coordinated; a private feel in a public venue. Having the local Hilton just 3.9 miles away was an added bonus to accommodate guests. If you're planning a wedding, we strongly suggest Shenandoah Lodge for the best experience. The couple shopped many venues ahead of this one due to pricing, but honestly, considering everything that was included in the package, the wedding expense would have been equal if not more if they had tried to piece together vendors, caterers and coordinators. Also, they would have missed out on the beauty of this venue, the excellent food, ambiance and the assistance of their great staff. I am grateful to the Bride's family for choosing the Lodge and for all that everyone did to make the day perfect. Can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had at The Shenandoah Lodge! Thanks to Karen Nottingham and staff for their excellent, professional and friendly service from start to finish!

Karen and Savannah, the event planning coordinators at Shenandoah Lodge went above our expectations when planning and executing our son and daughter-in-law's wedding in April 2022....
Not only did we have the wedding and reception at Shenandoah Lodge we also hosted the rehearsal dinner at the lodge.
The ladies not only assisted my daughter-in-law with her plans but were able to help perform duties from decorating to resolving a problem that could have been a major issue on the day of the wedding but was swiftly taken care of and avoided.
The wait staff at the lodge did a wonderful job as well and were kind and pleasant to work with.
I had no idea how to proceed with or plan the rehearsal dinner and Savannah or Karen guided me from the very beginning and the evening and food was wonderful.
I can highly recommend Shenandoah Lodge as a beautiful site for a wedding, or any special event. The staff was very pleasant to work alongside planning this special event in not only my son and daughter-in-law's life but my husband's and mine as well.

sh, Shenandoah Lodge was the best choice. We toured several venues but they ultimately chose to go with the Lodge in Lake Frederick and it was the best decision. Karen walked us through the details every step of the way and was so wonderful to work with. She answered all our questions along the way and helped coordinate and set up the most perfect wedding day for my sister. We couldn’t have done it without her! She was a life saver several times over that day. ❤️ Becca, the food and beverage person assigned to our event was amazing! From the tasting to the rehearsal dinner to the wedding and reception, Becca was attentive, helpful and so sweet. Jason, the bartender for cocktail hour and dinner was awesome! He made all the guests comfortable and relaxed and was just the kind of person you need serving drinks to lots of people. He made special considerations for our grandmother and he was a delight for all of us.
All the other staff- caterers, room flippers, etc were such a pleasure, very accommodating and so sweet the entire day.
I would 100% recommend Shenandoah Lodge and Karen when planning your special day. Thank you guys so much for everything! 😍

The venue is stunning, the food is absolutely incredible, and Courtney took care of everything! When we first talked I was sold, then I met her and the staff at lake Frederick weddings. Honest, reliable, so flexible and truly above and beyond service. Our rehearsal dinner was flawless, and our wedding day was perfect. Courtney is so organized, on top of things and experienced, our wedding planning was easy and just enjoyable all around. She doubled as my wedding planner, day of coordinator, maid of honor, and most importantly was my eyes and ears for everything to ensure our wedding vision was not only met, but exceeded beyond imagination. Our guests commented non stop the day of and since on how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was, and how helpful and attentive the staff was. If I could I would rate them 100 stars. Did I mention they were affordable and worked with our budget? Hands down the best vendor I’ve ever worked with.

From the first time we toured the venue to the day of the wedding, Courtney went above and beyond to make our dreams a reality. She was fun and enthusiastic to work with, offered great advice throughout the planning process and was extremely organized and detail-oriented. The key factor to the success of our wedding is the events manager Courtney Baker. She answered a lot of emails with patience, enthusiasm and good knowledge. She is very organized and nice. I worked with her for around 8 months and we met multiple times. She helped me so much in the planning process by giving the right advice and correct information about the venue. She is also quick at responding.
On the wedding day, she coordinated the ceremony and reception successfully, helped me to stay calm and the wedding turned out fun, organized and a real success. She is someone you can count on 100%!!! Although I am very picky, I am completely satisfied about everything.
I can’t thank Courtney enough! Everything was 5 stars !!! Totally recommend the venue❤️. You will be very happy there ☺️

We originally made eight appointments to see venues between Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. Never once did we think about Virginia. We found the venue randomly through various Google searches. When we came to visit and saw the gorgeous back yard lake, modern "mountainous" lodge, with a HUGE fireplace right in the lobby, I pretty much knew then that this was the place for us, but of course, we still had to work out the logistics i.e. the price. I had a dream of a winter brunch wedding for a price point of no more than 10k for a hundred people. Many in the wedding industry would certainly say I was dreaming. Then Courtney (our Day of Coordinator) sat down with us to explain prices and availability. When she finally told us we were able to do everything we wanted, within the time frame we wanted, for the price we wanted...I was done and totally ready to sign the dotted line. Courtney was fantastic every step of the way. She made things happen I didn't even think of and jumped through hoops to make our requests a reality. As I mentioned before we had a brunch buffet wedding and a cocktail hour before the reception (with signature mimosas :). The food at the restaurant is really good, especially after the tasting I was convinced everything was going to be delicious, but I wasn't sure how it was going to work with that many people. NEVER for a second did a single person go hungry. The staff was ready, professional and constantly brought food. I just know those chef's were sweating away in the kitchen. The for the buffet, more than enough was an understatement. Our entire experience from beginning to end was incredible. The most important part is that we were treated like we mattered and not like another wedding commodity. Weddings are stressful enough without having a venue adding to the burden and not being flexible. Courtney played a huge role in making us feel special. If I could do it all again, I literally would because it was like a perfect dream.

We had a lot going on during our wedding day, particularly the weather. We had last minute rain but everyone that worked at the Shenandoah Lodge did everything in their power to try to make the wedding as best as possible, and they certainly accomplished anything I asked for.
I received countless amounts of compliments from my guests on how amazing the place was - the food, the surroundings, the atmosphere. If I could go back in time and do it all again, I would not hesitate selecting this venue as our first choice. Bravo.

firsthand in a number of weddings how accommodating they are to not only the bride, groom and their families but also to the vendors that are there to serve the couples. This makes it so easy for us to give extra attention to the bride and groom on their wedding day when everything is going so smoothly in the background, thanks to the venue. On top of that, the scenery is abundant and beautiful. One of my favorite parts of this venue is that even with rain, there are endless opportunities for beautiful portraits in covered areas outside (we have had a LOT of rain this year and I was still able to get a ton of outside portraits because of the large covered patio. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!

As it got closer to our wedding we got the pleasure of working with Courtney. She is so kind and helpful. She answered all our questions in a timely manner. When our big day finally arrived it was raining. They let us decided whether we wanted to have it inside or outside like we had planned. So we went with what we wanted and got married in the rain. I wouldn't have changed it either. It turned out better than I had dreamed. They also cater the food there, and it is to die for! All of our guests were going on and on about how great the food was. the almost year long process. Leading up to the wedding DeAnne helped us customize almost everything about our menu and our timeline and everything about our day and was so incredibly flexible and easy (and fun) to work with. If it wasn't something the venue could do for us, DeAnne had the name of someone local who could, which made planning so much easier! The venue really is so gorgeous and unique and as soon as we saw it, we just fell in love with it. It provided a beautiful backdrop for our wedding pictures and was perfect for our 130+ person wedding. DeAnne and Courtney and their staff took care of so many things behind the scenes for us and the day of the wedding everything went so smoothly even though all of our plans changed the day of due to rain. The food was absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments from our guests about not only how great the food was, but also how much of it there was to choose from and how gorgeous the venue was! But honestly, we just can't thank DeAnne and Courtney enough for helping us have the perfect wedding!

From the lake views, mountain landscape, and the ceremony and reception locations, we knew this was the place where we wanted to get married and celebrate with our family and closest friends.
One of the best things about this venue is the staff and coordinators! DeAnne was amazing at helping us throughout the whole process. I probably had a million questions for her, and she answered every single one in a very timely fashion. She also offered valuable insight on the whole wedding process because of her experience with weddings at this venue.
Also, the food is BEYOND incredible! One of our favorite experiences was the food and wine tasting and being able to meet the chef. We were able to taste many delectable appetizers, the salad, and main entrees. We were also able to go over many details at the tasting and I cannot express how helpful that was to me as the bride and wedding planner. I felt so assured and relieved and extremely excited after finalizing the details and working with the staff at the Lodge.
If you are looking for a venue that has all the natural and rustic charm of the country, staff that is helpful beyond expectations, and amazing food for your guests, this is the perfect place for you! I hope many more couples are able to experience a magical wedding just like we did. Thanks DeAnne and Courtney for everything!

e pictures are amazing no matter where you are. We got so many compliments on the amazing atmosphere! They have 2 outdoor ceremony locations (one lakeside one mountain side), both of which can be covered with a tent if you provide one. The reception space is indoors and has a glam barn feel, even though it's an event space and not a barn. LOVE!
The staff: From the day we first met with DeAnne we had an amazing experience. Every question was responded to quickly, every detail was covered by the staff, and I couldn't asked for a better venue. All of the staff is amazing and friendly, from the wait staff to the chef to the coordinators. I especially have high praise for DeAnne and Courtney, the event coordinators, as they go above and beyond for everyone. We even had a vendor no-show the day of the wedding, and the two of them went to work tracking down a replacement bus for guest transportation. By the time I learned of the problem, they already found another vendor. They're truly amazing at what they do!
The food: I was told by many guests it was the best food at any wedding they've been to. Want to try it first? There's a restaurant on-site open to the public that you can have a try of what the chef has to offer. I've been multiple times there and everything I have tried is amazing. Couldn't have got better food than what they offer. You also get to meet the chef at the tasting and he is amazing!

eAnne really takes the time to sit with you and figure out what is most important to you, she is a joy to be around and work with and is phenomenal at her job. We were planning our wedding from Massachusetts and she gave us peace of mind planning a wedding out of state! The food was delicious and received raved reviews from our guests, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous (I highly recommend using the outdoor lakefront lawn for your ceremony!!!! It’s breathtaking for pictures!) cocktail hour was on the back patio and even at the reception it was the place to be with the s’mores bar and fire pit!! Very cool spot! nd all the guests were impressed with the stunning upscale rustic setting. The entire staff handled all the transitions from the ceremony to the reception seamlessly. They accommodated last minute changes due to weather very efficiently and we never had to worry about any of it.
Most especially we want to thank DeAnne Frazier, the event manager, for the warm and totally professional way she handled everything. She was immediately responsive to all of our questions and was delightful to work with! DeAnne kept everything running smoothly both in the planning stages and during the event. She lifted the anxiety of hosting such an event off our shoulders and we really appreciated that.
The dinner stations were set up very creatively and looked beautiful. All the food was amazing! The guests raved about how good the food was. Not only was the venue gorgeous but the fare and presentation were impeccable.
We were very happy with Shenandoah Lodge as a perfect place for our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a special place for an important event.
