My wedding reception was everything I hoped it to be. Natalie, the event coordinator, went above and beyond to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. She was responsive, helpful...
and such a delight to work with. Sandra was also a pleasure to work with. I would absolutely recommend the Sheraton for any and all events.
5 +++ We had a 3-day Covid delayed celebration and the staff and venue at the Sheraton were exceptional!!! They did everything we asked, even a last minute child's meal. Everyone ...
of the staff members did their best to make our celebration a fun and for us--the hosts--carefree. The food was tasty, the servers were friendly and we felt the prices were a great value. Most of the guests were from elsewhere and we truly appreciated having a hotel with good catering and great rooms.
Kari is amazing!! The entire sales and catering staff were such a pleasure to work with. From the beginning to the end, Kari was super helpful and always kept an eye out for the de...
tails! She and the entire team at the Sheraton helped ensure that every little thing was brought to life exactly as envisioned and it made our sangeet and reception absolutely perfect. For an Indian wedding, they accommodated all of our traditions, our very large guest count and associated room block, and provided extra space and staff for a hospitality room - all of which were well received by us and our guests!
My husband and I had our wedding reception as well as an afterparty at the Novi Sheraton a couple weeks ago, and I can't say enough good things about Kari and the team! It was a la...
rge wedding, and she was very professional, outgoing, thoughtful and detail-oriented with regards to planning the event. Everything was very straightforward, and there were no hidden or surprise costs at the end of night either. On the day of the wedding, the service staff were so attentive and friendly, and everything went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend them!
The month of our wedding was incredibly hectic. We planned our Detroit wedding while living in South Caroline. We even had to evacuate SC due to a hurricane one week before the wed...
ding! With that being said, Kari H and her team at the Sheraton in Novi did a fantastic job helping put together our perfect wedding reception!
Our event planner Kari was very professional, friendly, outgoing, and easy to work with. She was very responsive to emails and calls and worked with us to schedule hotel tours and last minute menu tastings on weekends and on short notice. She answered all of our questions in a timely manner and her organization was key to keeping us on time and on budget for our reception and also stress free on the big day! It was very challenging to plan an out of state wedding but Kari made the planning process as smooth as could be!
Sheratons wedding receptions packages were so organized and detailed it was a no brainier to chose them for our bid day! At first glance I thought the Sheraton was a little pricey but unlike the other hotels we looked at, all of their per person prices for dinner included the taxes and tips! It was easy to pick the dinner and bar package and the food was amazing! We went with the strolling stations and the spread was more than we could have asked for. There were NO surprise fees when we settled the bill, It was very straight forward and easy to budget.
The hotel Rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a hotel block of 40 rooms and had no issues with any of them. The Bridal suite was spacious and just as clean and comfy as the other rooms- oh and it's included in the price of the reception package :)
Our reception was held in the Mackinaw room. It was the perfect size and layout for our party. We had 70 guests in the Mackinaw room for dinner and dancing and the cocktail hour in the lobby area just outside the Mackinaw room. We also had the outdoor patio are for spillover with beautiful weather! Check out the outdoor gazebo and patio area for pre-ceremony or first look photos. You can even do the ceremony there if the weather is nice!
Kari and her staff at the Sheraton went above and beyond to make our stay and our big night a total success. We could not have asked for a better venue and staff! We highly recommend this venue. You will not be disappointed!
Best staff ever!
To make the wedding go smoothly, an amazing staff is key. That is exactly what I would say about Shaina and Kari. They were flexible and did their best to work wi...
th all my vendors to make my dream wedding come true. Also, the facility is big and can accommodate many events. Would recommend to everybody!
My new husband and I were married here less than 2 weeks ago and it was phenomenal. We had both our ceremony and reception here. Danielle was the woman we worked with from the day ...
we toured the venue to the day of our wedding and she was great! You can tell that she and this hotel are very busy but she was still more than capable of handling everything to make it a beautiful day. I had even heard that she brought in her own weed-wacker to trim down the lawn for our ceremony because the hotel couldn't locate their own. There were a couple of minute details that were lost in the shuffle but I'd really be nit picking to even discuss them. Danielle and the whole staff really went above and beyond in coordinating, set up, planning, friendly service, etc. and truly made our day amazing. Every guest was gushing about how beautiful the wedding was, how great the food was, how amazing the service was... I should also mention that everyone at the front desk I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful as was the woman who I believe was in charge of the banquets. I wish I were better at remembering names but the woman who I believe is one of the main servers in the restaurant was incredible (she was getting married the weekend after our wedding too). And every single person noticed how perfect our bartender was! She remembered everyone's drinks and I had heard she even came back early from her break because "she liked us so much." It just couldn't have been more perfect for us and I would highly recommend the Sheraton to anyone.
My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the Sheraton Hotel, and I can't say enough great things about our experience. We were impressed with them from the very begi...
nning when we signed our contract. From the time we signed the contract to the date of the event, we were very pleased with their service. Danielle did a great job working with us to ensure that every detail for the day was covered and exactly how we wanted it. She was very organized and on top of things and helped to eliminate some of the stress of the wedding planning process.
Fast forward to the day of the event... Things could not have gone more smoothly. We had guests raving about everything from the cocktail hour, to the delicious food, to the amazing service of the waitstaff. Everybody had such an amazing time! I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a reception venue.
Thank you to everyone at the Sheraton for making our wedding so beautiful!
We were so happy with our wedding at the Sheraton. We held our ceremony outside in the courtyard, and the reception in the ballroom. We got endless compliments on how beautiful the...
room was, how delicious the food tasted, and how fun the bartender was! A special thank you to Danielle, the wedding coordinator. She was such a great help and very patient with all of our indecisiveness. My ONLY "complaint" was when we reserved a block of room for our guests, they put all of them right next to our suite. My parents, brother, and close family were all directly across the hall.
We had a small wedding ceremony and reception at the Detroit-Novi Sheraton. The staff were amazing. Shaina stepped in to deal with my planning when the event coordinator left and d...
id a wonderful job. The "captain" who coordinated all the details on the night (Matthew) did an absolutely fantastic job. Everything was where it should be and happened at the right moment. We did not hire a wedding coordinator, we did not need to as the Sheraton staff set everything up for us, dealt with all the details and really went above and beyond to make our day magical. The food was really tasty and we received several compliments on it from our guests. The hotel has recently been renovated and looks great. The bartender was very helpful and friendly, it was a great experience all round. A big thank you to the staff who made everything so easy for us. Thoroughly recommended.
Hotel and staff were amazing, went over and above in every way. I would recommend anyone to have their wedding here. Top notch and went off without a hitch!
planning a wedding is a stressful time for any bride but I felt at ease working with Michelle at the Sheraton Detroit-Novi. She was always available when I had questions and would ...
reply in a timely manner. When I was informed the hotel would be under construction during the time of my wedding, Michelle again put me at ease letting me know the plan of action for the evening and they delivered above and beyond my expectation, I was in awe when I walked down the aisle and again when I walked into the reception hall.
I HIGHLY recommend the Sheraton Detroit-Novi for your wedding or next event as you will not be disappointed.
The Sheraton Detroit-Novi Hotel was EXCELLENT! My husband and I were married there June 15, 2013 and we could not have asked for a better place or for a better group of people to w...
ork with us. From the very beginning the staff was organized and caring, and this did not fade one bit during our entire experience. They arranged arrival times and details with the bakery, flower shop, linen company, band etc without even having to ask me for more than a phone number. Being so busy right up until the wedding I placed much trust in the staff when it came to organizing and decorating, and I was extremely pleased when I walked into our reception. Everything was beautiful.
Most importantly, perhaps, was how attentive and amiable the staff and servers were. They truly helped me to relax and fully enjoy every part of my night.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone having an upcoming wedding!
My husband and I researched so many venues for our reception and were trying to find an exceptional place for a great price. We both loved the Sheraton when we first visited it and...
can honestly say we had the MOST positive experience working with their staff. Michelle is AMAZING and so responsive. I probably sent her 100 emails in the days leading up to our wedding and she responded to each one with thorough information in a timely manner. She met with us multiple times before the wedding for the food tasting and to meet with other vendors who wanted to see the location beforehand and she did it every time with a smile on her face. The day of the wedding she arrived at 9:00 AM and took care of EVERYTHING. We didn't see her again until around 9:00 PM when she asked how everything was going - I couldn't even believe she was still there! She went above and beyond and was the best wedding planner I could have ever asked for.
We received so many compliments on how great the food was as well as the service. For our champagne toast, we had several pregnant guests who came up to me later and told me that they were offered non-alcoholic cider instead of the champagne. They were all so surprised that the servers cared enough to even offer them that. We also had several guests who asked to drink coffee all night and without fail the servers continued bringing them coffee.
We had a room block that the staff made sure we had access to and the night of the wedding we had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting in our room for us.
I would 100% recommend this hotel to any couples looking for a great location with amazing service at a very reasonable price. :)
The staff at the novi Sheraton were fantastic. Everything went as planned. The food was delicious.
The Sheraton Novi was amazing. We had a fabulous time at our wedding. We worked with Shaina & Michelle during the planning process. They made everything so easy for us. They were ...
extremly responsive and communicated very well with me all along the way. As a bride you want your vison to be seen and you try your hardest to be detailed. They made it all happen! I didnt have to stress or worry if and how things would get done.
Besides that, the venue is gorgeous. The staff is so friendly, professional and provided our guests with exceptional service. They went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding spectacular.
My famliy and I received so many compliments on how great the food tasted and how friendly and responsive the servers were. Matt, the catering manager was excellent. He made sure we had everything we needed and we were so thrilled with the service. The food came out on time, was hot and tasted excellent.
Our entire experience was flawless, even when we filled our room block up and needed more to accommodate our guests, the staff rushed to help. They were more than willing to work with us.
I would 110% recommend the Sheraton Novi to everyone getting married or having an event. Allow them to assist you with everything. They have the space, the hotel rooms and a fabulous staff to help make an event memorable.
We are so happy that we decided to go with the Novi Sheraton Hotel. They really took the time to address all the details that were important to us. They helped make our wedding everything we wanted and more.
We had about 300 people for our reception. We also had a room block for guests.
My husband and I viewed a few hotels to acommodate our guests since a majority of our guests are from out of town. We visited the Sheraton, toured the rooms and hotel and throughly...
enjoyed how friendly and nice all the staff members are. I met with the manager and she put my mind at ease that the guests would be well cared for, even changing the check in time to ensure the guests had time to get to the hotel, change and go to the ceremony. My husband and I loved the shutterbus that transported the guests to and from the venue, therefore eliminating any issues of drinking and driving. Also, included in the rate, was a voucher to the restaurant for a made to order breakfast. The list continues on how much we love this hotel!
Everything was perfect. Shainia (the coordinator) was amazing and took great care of us! Also the waitstaff at the wedding were very helpful! I keep getting compliments on how go...
od the food was. :)
I was pretty disappointed with my experience at the Sheraton Novi. The setup was beautiful but not the way we had planned. We were not given access to a suite as we were supposed ...
to have been (was supposed to be included in the package we got) and we were told there were extra charges after the reception which had not been previously agreed upon (and were not in the contract). Also, the electricity went out during our reception and there were many electrical hiccups after the power came back (ie-the fire alarm kept chirping). If I had it to do all over, I would not have chosen the Sheraton for my wedding.
