Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at The Convention Center

We can not say enough great things about the Sheraton!!! We started out our process in April of 2017 and after touring and interviewing multiple venues we ultimately selected the Sheraton due to their level of service (Bree), venue ascetics and total offerings at a reasonable rate. Bree was on the ball and timely throughout the entire planning process. We did find out that Bree was leaving the Sheraton about a month before our wedding and we of course were nervous as she had been instrumental in the entire process leading up the wedding. I am very happy to report that Rafael stepped in to take over after Bree left and did a phenomenal job! Rafael was timely, brought ideas to the table and personally handled so many of our final details! Rafael was onsite the week of our wedding going through timelines and final plans, he helped to run and plan our rehearsal and personally handled so many of the details the day of the wedding. Rafael helped set up the day of our wedding, checked in throughout the day, and our wedding went off without a hitch due to him! Rafael personally checked in with us throughout our entire wedding day/night and stayed late to make sure everything ran smooth during our reception. The food was fantastic from the apps to dinner everything was executed beautifully! My husband and I both work for food manufacturing companies and great food was very important to us. Our tasting was such a fun experience. I can say that we were presented so many great options during the tasting it made it very hard to choose. I will say that I wondered if the food would live up to the standards set at the tasting.... I was blown away in such a good way! The food was amazing, served in a timely fashion and continues to be talked about all of our guests almost a month later (which is impressive as our guest list is full of professional foodies)! The entire staff at the Sheraton was amazing throughout the days leading up to and after our wedding! Everyone from Tyler at reception to the team at the valet station, our experience was second to none! I would highly recommend the Sheraton to anyone wanting to plan a fantastic event where everything is at one location. I know without a doubt Rafael and team will make sure your event is the talk of the town!

Only great things to say about the service, professionalism, hospitality, and kindness from the staff at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel. From the beginning stages to the end all our needs were met and everyone was so lovely to work with. My family and I worked with Bree over the course of a year. She was an absolute JOY! Any questions, concerns, or requests (however crazy they were) Bree made it happen and all with a smile on her face. The food at our reception was the biggest hit and our guests are still talking about how delicious the hors devours and main course was! My mouth still waters thinking about it. The set up of our room took my breath away, the light fixtures and ambiance of the room are so classic and beautiful- perfect for every wedding! Loved the Sheraton!

We had our reception here and it was wonderful. Bree Atkins was our coordinator and she was great to work with; Very accommodating and easily accessible. The hotel is beautiful, so classy and elegant. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. If you are looking for a hotel reception- this is the place to go!
