Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls

Oh my! I cannot say enough good things about the Sheraton Suites!! My husband and I had a great time at the Sheraton which is where we had our wedding reception. Our sales and catering wedding specialist, Cathy, went above and beyond to create the best reception area to best meet our needs. I called and emailed Cathy dozens of times with questions and she always answered promptly. She would talk me through each problem that came up and every decision that had to be made. She was so prompt in having everything ready by deadlines. It was a beautiful room and it accommodated our rather large family/friend gathering of 250 people. My husband and I wanted to do a brunch reception rather than a typical evening dinner reception and The Sheraton Suites was able to accommodate and it was so delicious. We will not forget the wonderful time we had and the wonderful people at the Sheraton that put this together to make our day so special!!

Oh my goodness, it was more beautiful than we could have imagined!!! We held our reception at the Sheraton and had guests from all over the world stay in a hotel block. Cathy, our coordinator, made the process so much easier when planning from a distance. Raia, our maitre'd, made everything flow so smoothly. Our guests were well taken care of by Gina, our bartender, and the servers. The balcony views of the rapids, foliage, and kayakers were spectacular from the Summit Room for cocktail hour. The Jr. Ballroom was the perfect size for 80 guests and looked really beautiful with a touch of uplighting and flowers. We received many compliments on the food. The Grand Wedding Package provided lots of high-end appetizers, upscale entrees, and plenty of delicious drinks for the whole night. The convenience factor was huge. We were able to have several wedding weekend events within walking distance. Downtown Cuyahoga Falls has cute restaurants and bars for welcome parties/after parties/rehearsal dinners, and the brunch at the hotel was amazing! The bridal suite had 2 levels and a balcony with a river view. The large living room area was perfect for having makeup and hair on-site and also allowed us to have some friends over the day after the wedding to play board games. There is no need to leave the property for pictures as the area is full of opportunities for indoor and outdoor pictures (e.g. riverfront walkway, High Glens Bridge Park next door, riverfront pictures, glass elevator, grand staircase). You cannot get a better value at any other venue. We had considered having our wedding in a few different states and types of venues and am so happy we chose this special place!

The Sheraton was the perfect venue for our wedding. It was beautiful, the food was great and the service was wonderful. Cathy helped so much all throughout the process and her and our Maitre’D ensured that everything went perfectly the day of. The views outside of this hotel are absolutely gorgeous and it was so convenient for our out of town guests. Everyone had a wonderful weekend. Could not have asked for a better venue or experience!

We loved the Sheraton the moment we walked in. The cocktail hour is in a beautiful area that overlooks the river with glass windows from top to bottom! The reception hall we chose was the perfect size and the bridal suite was two levels. The food was delicious! The only complaint I would have is that you cannot bring in any outside late night food which we wanted (Taco Bell..Pizza hut..). But the service was amazing and we got lots of compliments from guests!

We can't say enough about the Sheraton Suites. They were absolutely wonderful to work with. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious. Every single person we worked with was great. Thank you Sheraton for making my daughter's wedding perfect !

The Sheraton Suites on Front St in Cuyahoga Falls was very nice for our guests the night of our wedding. It is in a great location with beautiful falls in view. The price was a bit high, but since they are suite style rooms guests could double up which actually saved them money. The service was acceptable. We were satisfied and would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Cuyahoga Falls area.

We had our cocktail hour in the Summit room and the reception in the Library Room. The Library Room was absolutely stunning! It gave us the small homey feel that we were going for but still with all the beauty of a hotel reception. Everyone I worked with from the front desk staff to the bar tender went above and beyond to make sure that my day was perfect. Any request I made or question I had was answered immediately and taken care of satisfactorily.

The Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls is an absolute dream to get married at! We had such a great experience with our wedding coordinator Dawn and Maitre d' Michelle. The food was unbelievable! So many have told us that it was the best filet mignon they have ever had, and I would have to agree! We had a sit down dinner for 250 people and that was perfect! I don't know if I would go much higher than 250 even though it says it can hold 320.

I didn't even have my wedding here but they treated me like a princess. Staff made all the arrangements for my bridal suite and for rooms for various family members -- there was a nice easy online link to be used, but they took care of it themselves. Beautiful hotel suite right on the Cuyahoga River was bigger than my old apartment. They also handed out guest welcome bags for no charge and when they missed a couple of guests, my coordinator made sure the bags were personally delivered. Large pool, fun bar that stays open late, quality breakfast. This hotel is a STEAL for what you get.

Our small, simple wedding turned into the event of 2013 and The Sheraton handled it very well. Their wedding specialist does an amazing job, she spent a lot of time with me and my family going through every detail to make sure we thought of everything. The staff did a pretty good job with the execution as well. We did their top package so the liquor was flowing and their was a ton of food. For dinner we did a 5-course meal with a duo entrée of filet and chicken. Everything was amazing with the exception of the lobster-stuffed chicken being dry but I blame that mostly on my maid of honor's speech delaying dinner for 20 minutes :)

the special rate they gave me for the room block turned out to be the regular rate, so nothing special about that. they also had a special event going on, and half of the parking lot was reserved for just the restaurant, so the groom and I had to park his car elsewhere. we were a little put off by that. (especially since by the time we got there to check in, the event was an hour from over, and there were plenty of open spaces. the parking lot attendant still directed us, and out car full of wedding stuff and luggage, to the overflow parking lot located down the street.)

The Sheraton provided the perfect venue for our wedding reception. There were so many great aspects about it that I am not sure where to start. Well for one our main contact was Dawn and she is phenomenal! She was quick to respond to questions or provide advice from her experience when we were not sure about something regarding the reception. She was extremely helpful in the planning process and our “night of” maitre de Karen was also spectacular. She helped with set up, moving presents into the ballroom, locking up of checks, and various other things that we appreciated. The venue itself is beautiful with several photo op spots inside and around the hotel. We got a lot of compliments on the food and service during the reception. The rooms were the nicest we have stayed in by far and the service was always outstanding. We are also using our points from the wedding weekend on our hotel for the honeymoon which was a nice bonus!

The Sheraton was great to work with, they took care of so many details. Dawn was the coordinator I worked with to plan the day, and everything was so organized. The day of went smoothly and I couldn't have been happier. The guests LOVED the food at the reception and enjoyed the cocktail hour as well. We had our wedding in April and got a big discount on the normally pricey ballroom! They also have a smaller room that is much less expensive. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, we had our ceremony on their second floor above the falls and took all of our pictures on their overlook.

Narkita was an ANGEL!! Every single little detail was taken care of completely. For all brides out there--this place will really make you feel like you like you should on your special day and my guests cannot stop raving about it either!

They do 90 weddings a year so they know what they are doing, but you are one of many people trying to plan a wedding. We had great service on our day, but they are very busy throughout the year and may be slow getting back to you on questions. Dawn is fantastic.

We had our wedding and reception at the Sheraton (the wedding was on the patio overlooking the falls and our reception was in the Cuyahoga Room). They coordinated everything with us and kept us updated with where we should be in the process. Dawn and Angie kept us on track and made sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. The food was great. I would have everything there again in a heartbeat.

The wedding was perfect! The Sheraton provided us with service and were able take care of a lot of details. That being said, here are some things I would have changed. 1) People working the front desk of the hotel were not exactly friendly. 2) Our ceremony took place at the hotel, which is fine, but the risers they had us stand our were ugly and we right in front of an exit sign and 2 big steel doors. If those could have been covered in some way, it would have been beautiful. 3) The wedding planner provided by the Sheraton quit only weeks before my wedding to take another job. It really didn't make much of a difference because we had planned most of it, but it was a bit stressful. 4) I was told that I would be the only wedding during this time, but when I got there a day before my wedding, we found out that 3 other weddings were going on. I would've been fine with this had I known, but it was quite a shock. Here are some things I loved about the Sheraton- 1) The scenery was amazing! The falls are beautiful. 2) The rooms are very spacious and very nice. Those that stayed really enjoyed the rooms and were able to bunk up with other families. 3) The bartenders were great! They were extremely friendly and took care of immediate family before anyone. 4) The food was incredible! If I could do it again, I would stick with the Sheraton. The main thing I would have changed is made the risers look nicer during the ceremony and see if there was anyway to cover up the doors and exit sign. It was a great wedding, though and we're very happy we chose the Sheraton.

Planning this reception was extremely easy with the help of Jamie, the Sheraton's coordinator. I felt like I was in good hands and I honestly had an even better time at my reception than I had anticipated. I would absolutely recommend the Sheraton to anyone planning a reception!

The Sheraton was worth every penny! We had no worries, they thought of everything. The food was amazing. Guests are still raving about it!

It was very convenient and everyone loved the view.
