We had the best experience with Gina and her team! She was quick to respond on all emails, had a multitude of recommendations for vendors, and took all of our ideas and requests into consideration to make our wedding dreams come true. We knew Gina had another wedding already booked on our date when we picked our venue, so her colleague Casey was going to fill in for our day-of planner (who was also amazing) but Gina made the time to come surprise me at the church right before I walked down the aisle and it was one of my favorite moments of the day and was so thoughtful of her! My fiancé (now wife!) and I knew when we got engaged that we would need help planning the wedding. What we didn’t realize though, was just how amazing the process would be. Oh. My. God. I don't even know where to begin. Gina and her team are INCREDIBLE! Starting from our first consultation I knew I wanted her for our wedding. I loved her vision and her ability to take my ideas, make them a million times better, and then execute them to perfection. I had very few ideas on what exactly I wanted for my wedding but she had the most incredible suggestions, style, and vision for the event, and was able to create the most perfect wedding of my dreams. I'm not being dramatic when I say there was not a single moment during the wedding day where I was stressed, anxious, or worried about anything. Gina handled absolutely everything for me so I was able to relax and enjoy every second of my wedding. I seriously cannot thank her enough for being so amazing, organized, communicative, and professional. She held my hand and guided me during the entire planning process. When I needed any vendor recommendations she quickly sent me over a list of her favorite people (all of whom were fantastic) and facilitated the booking process. Gina also has really great relationships with the vendors, so they were super responsive and excited to work with us because they like working with her! Even when some of the vendors were hard to track down or fell off the face of the earth for a few weeks, she had no problem reaching out to them (AKA bombarding them with emails so I didn't have to 😊), which took all the stress off of me. I barely had to lift a finger! Gina was respectful of our budget and was very good at helping us decide what areas were worth splurging on and finding areas where we could cut back a bit. She listened to what we wanted and what was most important to us and delivered us the most amazing wedding we could have ever asked for. Not only was our wedding day more perfect than we could have ever imagined, our guests were blown away, too! Everyone kept telling us how gorgeous, fun, and memorable our wedding was. We're still getting texts from family and friends telling us it was the best wedding they've ever been to! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gina and her team! She made the entire wedding planning process incredibly stress free! We would definitely recommend Gina and her team for anyone planning a wedding in Cleveland, especially if you are from out of town! My (now) husband and I live in Miami, Florida and absolutely relied in Gina's recommendations throughout the whole process. With our jobs and COVID, we weren't able to come to Cleveland as much as we might have otherwise, but we trusted Gina's expertise, taste, and style, and that made the whole process go super smoothly. One of the highlights of our wedding planning journey was the design plan that Gina put together for us. We weren't sure what to expect or if we had given her enough material to work off of, but even her first draft plan was incredible and absolutely spot on. She included ideas and special touches we never considered that were immediately added to our plans, and we think made the wedding day extra memorable for all of our guests. Gina's team also made the design plan come to life even more beautifully than we could have imagined. We may be biased, but we think it was the most gorgeous wedding we have ever seen. Gina always had a short list of vendors for us to consider. We would give her a sense of budget, the style we were looking for, etc., and she would come back to us with a list of 2-4 options (after having already confirmed their availability for our date) and her frank feedback on each. We can't stress enough how much we appreciated her honest perspectives and recommendations every step of the way. The week of the wedding Gina and I were in constant communication, which was enormously helpful and reassuring. We did not have to worry about the timeline or logistics at ALL the week of the wedding, and every single vendor was where they needed to be when they needed to be there (at least as far as we know lol). Everything came together flawlessly and we could not have been happier. Even with some family/wedding parties members being a little bit unfocused, Gina ran an organized rehearsal and got everyone in perfect form for the wedding the following day (and made sure I walked out at the exact right second in the song I chose). If you are looking for a full service wedding planner and designer with great Cleveland resources/ties, Gina is definitely the way to go!

3 months later and it still feels weird not talking to Gina every day!! We knew that hiring a planner was essential, but we never imagined that our wedding planning process would take 2 years! Not only did Gina design & orchestrate the most beautiful wedding, but oh by the way she did it during a global pandemic with two VERY demanding and opinionated families. The stakes were high. She is a saint. Gina navigated the intricacies of our family relationships with ease and always made sure that what we wanted as the bride & groom came first. Our personalities came through in the way she designed & planned the day, it really felt like us. She was much more than a wedding planner, she was our therapist, mediator and confidante through the whole process. We couldn't have done it without Gina!

There are so, so many reasons that I'm grateful I had Gina by my side during my wedding planning process, but I'll go into detail about the top three! First, Gina is majorly intuitive: when we started planning together, I honestly didn't have a strong sense of what I wanted from the wedding -- I knew I wanted it to be beautiful, small but elegant, and outside at my parents' house, but beyond that my ideas were vague. Gina helped me solidify them, not by substituting her own ideas for mine (something a lesser planner would have done), but by asking the right questions, studying my inspirational photos, and reading between the lines of all the information I did provide. When she first put all of those ideas together into a design plan, I pretty much cried from joy: the plan perfectly intuited what I wanted my wedding to look and feel like. So, that's reason number one: Gina really takes the time to get to know you, and she will personalize the wedding to your vision, giving you exactly what you wanted even if you didn't quite know how to put it into words. Second, Gina is really, really experienced. This matters for a lot of reasons, but for me it came into play in one particular way: by making sure my vision as the bride survived the twists, turns, and inevitable unexpected obstacles of the planning process. Wedding planning, even at the best of times, can be an emotional undertaking. There are often a lot of people who have input, and there can be touchy feelings or difficult familial dynamics to navigate. Gina understands and works with and around such dynamics beautifully, which I think is a testament to her experience; believe me, there is no demand, disagreement, or drama you or your family could throw at her that Gina has not seen before, and navigated deftly. She kept everyone on my team not only calm, but usually happy and laughing throughout every step of the process -- and this even during the uncertainties of a busy, global-pandemic-impacted wedding season! She truly made me feel like I had an ally throughout the entire process, and I sincerely miss having the opportunity to work with her and hear from her regularly! Finally, the third of my top-three reasons: Gina has long-running, time-tested relationships with all the best vendors: she knows everyone, and has probably worked with the best caterers, florists, pastry chefs, stylists, etc. multiple times over. The power of these relationships cannot be overstated; Gina will pair you with the right vendor for your particular vision, and that vendor will deliver at an extraordinarily high level, not only because they are the best, most talented in their fields (they are, of course!), but also because the lines of communication with Gina are well-established and seamless. Plainly put, Gina knows who to work with and how to work with them, and that's a skillset that simply cannot be substituted for in any way. No couple can build that kind of know-how for themselves over the course of planning a single event, which is precisely why it's so valuable to have the guidance and assistance of a professional like Gina. The bottom line is this: Gina is just an absolute gem, and if you're lucky enough to secure her to plan your wedding, you'll be in the best of hands!

We currently reside in Charleston, SC via Cleveland where our daughter chose to have her wedding. Thus, it was very important to hire a good wedding planner/coordinator. I was given a short list of planners by my wife and daughter to contact and vet. Shi-Shi Events was the first name on the list. Within 5 minutes of my call with owner Gina,I knew that this person was well seasoned and in complete control of her craft. There was no need to call anyone else. During the planning process Gina was very responsive to every question we had. Emails were replied to within minutes to hours. Gina's recommended vendors were world class and equally responsive. Our daughter was not interested in making the hundreds of decisions that needed to be made so this is where Gina and her vendors really shined for us. My daughter gave Gina her theme via photos and the result was miraculous. The wedding day was like a broadway production with dozens of vendors descending on the venue like bees and transforming it into a breathtaking fairy tale scene. Gina has done this for a very long time and she simply knows what will make your day perfect for you and your guests. Our daughter had her "dream" wedding...and how can you ask for more than that.

We hired Gina and Shi Shi about a year out from our ceremony to help us execute our big day in Chautauqua, New York while we live in Missouri. People would ask me all the time if it was stressful planning a wedding from a distance and the answer was always no, because Gina always took care of us and helped me feel confident in our planning process every step of the way. Where can we start? Gina and her team was the best decision to make our wedding day simply magical. Gina is the person you want if you want to make “anything” happened.. We gave her the challenge to create a “Latin wedding” so far from our home country and she carried us thru all the challenges that this entailed. We had to move our wedding 3 times and she did not see the problem, only solutions. She put up with every single request we had even if she have never done it before, and the result was even more stunning than we imagined. Gina and Shi Shi Events created the most beautiful, magical wedding for my daughter. She was very helpful and patient as we navigated all the choices needed to make the day special. While planning a wedding virtually wasn't what I was planning on doing, Gina and her team made it seem as though they planed wedding virtually every day. Still reliving the beautiful day that was put together by Gina and Shi Shi events. I was very aprehensive about hiring a planner as the MOB. After all, I am organized! Wrong! Gina made everything my daughter and Scott wanted in their day come to life. And, she seemed to do it effortlessly even in the crazy days of Covid. Without Gina, we could never have had the dream wedding tht was accomplished. While we didn't get to meet Gina until quite late in the process, she had my daughter had worked through the winter months of 2021 planning out the special day. Despite to small bumps on the wedding day(whiich nobody even knew about), it was as close to perfect as you could get. I am still reliving the day a week later. Gina works with many of the best vendors in the area. Everyone was so professional, kind and organized that as the MOB, my stress level on the wedding day was almost non-existant. Take my advice, talk to Shi Shi Events. They will put your vision into reality!

Who would have thought we would have been in the middle of a pandemic when we first started planning our daughter's 2020 Cleveland "destination" Wedding. Gina and Shi-Shi events were and are true professionals in all aspects of the word. Her organizational skills, creativity, connections/contacts, even temperedness and availability made our daughter's Wedding a HUGE success! With our daughter living in Atlanta, her now husband living in Birmingham, AL, his family in New Jersey/New York, ours from Chicago, would make this a little challenging in normal circumstances, but throw in COVID and it's far more challenging. As the Mother of the Bride, she made the planning and day of the Wedding, so stress free. Gina made all the above so seamless even with a last minute reception location change (by no fault of Shi Shi or ours). Planning a wedding in Cleveland, Ohio as residents of Houston, Texas is no small task. Doing all of the planning for one wedding and having to move it makes it an extraordinarily difficult task. But you wouldn’t have known that with Gina and Shi-Shi events. In fact, she advised us that we needed to start moving everything before the state of Ohio enacted many of its restrictions. From the moment of our first conversation to the biggest and most exciting day of my life she has been such a fresh a breath air and extremely accommodating. Our wedding was originally scheduled for May 2 2020 and when the COVID shut downs started happening she was on top of it and suggested to reschedule instead of waiting and did it in the best way possible. We basically had to plan two weddings and she kept me calm through it all and I knew I had nothing to worry about. She made it possible for me to have the wedding of my dreams. It was beautiful and every detail to the cocktail napkins was perfect. Katie is also just as incredible. She was there for me the day of the wedding and made everything run so smoothly. Gina is a true MASTER at the art of weddings. The original plan was for a 200 person wedding at Sapphire Creek Winery in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Due to the pandemic, we switched to a 30 person at home wedding six weeks before the event. My daughter and son-in-law were blown away. EVERYONE was blown away. Gina switched course without missing a beat, kept us calm and planned an absolute fairytale wedding. I’m not even sure how she did it, but there was not a single detail that was missed, or a single thing that we would have changed. Her preferred vendors are absolute masters of their trades and we LOVED every single one. Gina is extremely personable and very easy to talk to. She is very transparent and honest and we truly feel blessed to have had her walk us through the whole wedding process. Gina and the Shi Shi Events team worked with me and my family to plan my wedding this Sept. 2020 (150 guests) in Cleveland, OH. We hired Gina before the pandemic and had originally planned a much larger event (300 guest) at a different venue. With covid, we had to change venues and other unanticipated wedding details. I was incredibly impressed with Gina's creativity and prompt solutions to unforeseeable obstacles . She was able to find a new venue and support a safe/ socially distanced wedding that felt just as special as my original wedding plans. The wedding day itself was simply amazing and more beautiful that I could have ever imagined (Gina has some serious tent/ floral/ lighting skills). Covid took nothing away from my wedding and I was able to focus on the day, my new husband and my loved ones thanks to Gina's very detailed coordination and her months of hard work. I worked with Gina at Shi Shi Events during my wedding planning process and had her team install the bistro lighting at our venue at RedSpace. It was so comforting that her and her team knew exactly how to install beautiful lighting in the space, and she was great with communication leading up to, during, and after our wedding. Oh where to start?! I’ve worked with Gina and Shi-Shi for both of my weddings. The first was a big (around 350 guests) extravagant event that required impeccable organization. Each guest that attended reached out to say how personal and beautiful the wedding was. Her attention to detail was evident throughout the day. My second wedding was a backyard wedding with about 40 guests. Once again, everything was perfect, thoughtful and again stunning. The versatility of Gina and her staff is truly remarkable. She has the ability to take her clients vision and make it a reality regardless of budget, size, weather, or that one crazy guest who undoubtedly Always shows up! She negotiates. She’s as hands-on as you want and she respects your decisions. She can run with your vision, while running point with all of your vendors behind the scenes. All told, my wedding was gorgeous. There were design elements that I couldn’t have created myself, and my guests said it was the most beautiful, fun and well-executed wedding they’d been to. I think that’s what we’re all trying to achieve with our weddings - a beautiful day for our guests with minimal stress for us. A day we all enjoy and remember. I called Gina in a complete panic after the event coordinator at our venue retired. After speaking with her for about 5 minutes I knew I was in the best hands! Every step of the way I felt so comfortable working with Gina and her excellent team. I had visions for our big day that she was able to bring to life in ways that I would have never been able to do on my own. She is so, so talented and made our planning fun and stress free!

My daughter and I were initially hesitant about hiring a wedding planner. We were certain we could do it ourselves. How hard could it be, right? Gina and her team help me plan my fairytale wedding. They were amazing!! Every detail I wanted they did and made my dream come true. I used Shi Shi Events for our wedding last June and I could not have picked someone better to help plan our big day! Gina is outstanding. She really listens to every detail that is important to you and makes it a reality. We ended up jumping ship on venues 7 months before our wedding due to some issues which translates to every brides nightmare!! But thank goodness for Gina, everything moved forward without a hitch. AND the stress level was minimal!! When I booked her she told me on our wedding day she would not be able to be there due to already being a guest at another wedding BUT on our wedding day at the end of the night she surprised me!!! She drove all the way back from out of town to just give me a hug at the end of the night. If that’s not above and beyond I don’t know what is!! She’s an angel and worth every penny. Gina and her team are the absolute best. As a previous bride wrote, when looking at our photos you can tell how relaxed and happy we all were the entire day, and that was thanks to Gina. She made sure every detail of day was perfect. During our planning process, Gina helped me narrow down my MANY ideas into a beautiful vision and design. She also has incredible relationships with all of the best vendors in Cleveland (for example, when you show up to try on dresses all the staff stop and say “OMG WE LOVE GINA”.) Gina planned our daughter's backyard wedding this summer and she was fabulous. She has unique ideas, is well connected to all vendors, and made the day special for us all. Gina was always available and easy to contact. She was willing to sort through options until we were 100% satisfied. The best decision from two years of wedding planning was choosing Gina and the Shi Shi team as our planner. I would say I was a very thorough and very involved bride. I knew going into the process I wanted someone I 100% trusted and enjoyed working with. I also wanted someone who was not afraid to disagree with me, and who would (try) to reign me in when I was blowing our budget. Gina surpassed every expectation. My wife and I brought Gina into the fold about 18 months before our wedding date. At that time, we didnt even have a venue, we were just a lot of ideas and possibilities. She was patient, honest, and knowledgeable every step of the way. She was always well ahead of schedule for planning and making sure things were done. We never felt anything was last minute. She was flex flexable to our schedules, which was wonderful because our careers dont allow for much of that on our end. She took our ideas and turned them into something beautiful. The day after our wedding, I said to Gina: "Thank you for being so good at your job!" She was amazing - from planning and design, to day-of support and flawless execution. We got married in a beautiful garden that had a lovely outdoor setting and held personal meaning for us. The only problem was that the indoor space for the reception was not so lovely and made me a little nervous. I interviewed several planners before going with Gina, and I'm so glad I followed my instincts. I looked at her Instagram account and website and could just tell she had the type of taste and standards we were looking for. Gina and her team were able to turn the plain room into a magical space that felt like a perfect secret garden extension of the outdoor beauty. We loved it. From the first day we met Gina until the day we got married, we knew we were in the very best hands. She's creative, professional, efficient, reliable, and truly made the planning process a breeze. I was planning a NE Ohio wedding from Atlanta and knew that I needed an amazing planner who could handle all the local details. Gina and the rest of the Shi Shi Events team were with me every step of the way. She was never phased by the fact that I hate being the center of attention or that, outside of a few ideas, I didn't really have too much of a vision of the day. Over the course of a year and a half Gina took care of every vendor and every contract. She recommended the best team of pros we could have dreamed up including our amazing photographer and florist who took our day to the next level. We knew when our daughter got married the planning process would be difficult at best. The distance, our daughter lives in Ohio and we live in California, would make any planning process challenging. And the 90 hour work week schedule of our daughter only added to the complications. So the first order of business was to procure a wedding planner. After a few interviews it was so apparent that Gina of Shi Shi Events was far superior to all her competitors. Gina was highly organized and extremely professional. She was able to streamline so much of the process of selecting vendors. This was of great importance since our daughter had such limited free time. We could not have been more pleased with all the vendors selected. They were professional and delivered services beyond our expectations. Gina seamlessly coordinated the necessary vendor meetings, which was quite a challenge since we were coming from out of town. She saved us quite a few plane flights which was much appreciated. Gina was magnificent on the day of the wedding. As the parents of the bride, you expect a few hiccups, as they say nothing is perfect, but that was not our experience. Gina made sure that our experience was perfect!!! We can not thank Gina enough for making our daughter's wedding day perfect.

I decided to go to a wedding coordinator/planner because I have very little family left to plan with (and hubby's family is 2 hours away), and I had a feeling that I would need help with anxiety about the big day. Our wedding was 8 months from our engagement and during early summer (aka busy season). I had an idea of what I wanted, and Gina made it happen. My husband was skeptical that I needed a coordinator/planner until the week of the wedding, when everything seemed to happen all at once: issues with vendors, guests, and clothing mishaps. She and her assistant, Mikalah, were especially helpful the week of the wedding, but really saved our bacon when my son's tux came in the night before the wedding waaaay too short and the jacket wouldn't even close. Gina sent her assistant out to get several new tuxedoes for him to try on with plenty of time to spare the morning of! And moreover, something you don't really think about is who is going to keep you calm while waiting for the ceremony (Gina) and what will happen to everything after the wedding (Gina and her team took care of everything, well into the night). I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciated their hard work! Truly worth the financial cost, and the emotional save to my sanity! I got much more out of using a wedding planner than I expected, especially the week of the wedding and the evening of the wedding (post event). I'm very thankful to Gina, Mikalah, Gina's husband, and everyone else on her team who helped make our day perfect!

Gina is amazing, if you need a wedding planner I would definitely hire her! She took care of everything and made the process for me very easy and smooth. Even the day of the wedding I didn't worry about what time it was and what needed to be done next she took care of all of that. It was a surprise to all, including the couple, family, friends, and co-workers. Crazy. This wedding had to be the dream. It not only needed to look the part, but had to deeply feel it, and in turn illustrate the romance, emotion, and life-fulfilling commitment of the most unforgettable day of your life. Yup, I know, how do you pull THAT off? Well, only one way. Gina and Shi Shi Events. Seriously. Gina took care of every detail. From the venue to the bouquet to the food to the dress. She's intricate and thorough when necessary, and broad and silly when the moment calls. She understands schedule, beauty, ceremonial nuance, the variety of personality, and of course fun, like no other. Weddings mark time, and no one celebrates this more than Gina and Shi Shi. We were lucky to find them.

We used the day of coordination for our wedding. I was able to work with Gina in the months before the wedding. She is amazing, she helped guide me through bumps in the road (and HUGE bumps they were) flawlessly. Dara was our coordinator for the weekend, and she was awesome to work with! I still don't know if anything went wrong or not! Being the OCD bride, I knew I could trust Shi Shi Events with their impeccable taste and keen eye for detail to make sure everything was perfect for our big day.
