I was a photographer on 5.28.23, AND I NEVER HEARD THE WORD NO, from any Shirley Acres team member. Ms. Allie was amazing. It was always, sure, I think we can find something or I'm sure there is one around. Always helpful. The staff is quiet, but efficient and pays attention to detail. Beautiful grounds and CLEAN!!!!! Just an overall very great experience. And being a photographer it is MY JOB, to see and pay attention to everything and Shirley Acres is as good as advertised!!!!!

Highly recommend having your wedding at Shirley Acres!! It's such a beautiful venue and the staff are so helpful and friendly. We had the fajita buffet and it was amazing. Our guests absolutely loved it! The Pavillion was decorated for Christmas and it was so beautiful. It was absolutely perfect for a December wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Kelley, was also amazing and so very organized. She definitely kept us on track and made sure everything went smoothly. When it started raining right before the ceremony was to begin, the staff quickly set up chairs inside as a backup plan. Overall, it was a wonderful wedding day and we are so happy we picked Shirley Acres

This venue was absolutely amazing! Can’t say enough about it from start to finish. Helpful, caring, accommodating. Every question asked answered promptly. The staff made sure every single part of the wedding was perfect. Allie was our wedding planner and she was absolutely amazing, went above and beyond to make the day perfect. All the staff are fantastic! Allie you have a very special talent - thank you!! The food!! Outstanding. So many of our guests commented on the excellent food and service. We couldn’t be happier, so thankful we found this beautiful venue, it was an amazing wedding from start to finish. I cannot recommend this place more! Very rare to find such a quality all inclusive venue like this, you will not be disappointed!!

I can't say enough wonderful and amazing things about this venue and all the staff from the owner Bob, the coordinators April and Allie, the floral designer Ronnie down to the waitstaff. It is a BEAUTIFUL venue, all of our guests raved about the food, the flowers and the music! We were extremely happy and loved the wedding cake bakery and photographer recommendations. M.E.B cakes did a phenomenal wedding and grooms cake that was delicious and photographer Chris W Photography did an awesome job capturing the day and was so much fun! DJ Alex played all the music we wanted and kept the party going, he totally rocked it! April was our coordinator that day and she made everything go as smooth and perfect as any bride would want for her special day! I would recommend Shirley Acres all day, everyday for your wedding- they made planning our wedding stress free, perfect and beautiful! They gave us the wedding we wanted and the wedding I always pictured and dreamed about! Thank you Shirley Acres!

I LOVED THIS VENUE! I booked with them prior to COVID and when everything had to change due to the COVID restrictions, they were EXTREMELY helpful and helped guide me through everything. They do everything there: flower, food, etc. It took a lot of the stress out of the wedding planning! My day was absolutely beautiful and I have Shirley Acres for that. The entire team is amazing. They are all responsive and nice! I highly recommend this location. You won't regret it!

We are forever grateful to Shirley Acres' staff for helping us experience the best day of our lives so far! Our original wedding reception venue canceled on us due to the pandemic, and it was a blessing in disguise because it led us here. In less than two months' time, we hoped to find a new reception venue to accommodate our loved ones, and we did in Shirley Acres. From the moment we met them, every single staff member made us feel supported and loved. Bob (the owner), Kelley (our coordinator), the florist, chefs, serving team, bartenders, parking attendants and security staff are some of the most genuinely kind, positive, patient, energetic, thoughtful and caring people we have ever met. They proved extremely organized, helpful, communicative, efficient and flexible throughout times of planning and enjoying the wedding day. We did not have to worry about a single thing! During our planning meeting, they took the time to get to know us and guided our conversation to discuss every detail of the day, which made us feel so relaxed and comfortable to know we were in good hands. Our coordinator even thought to ask us if we would want a second dinner and cake serving placed in our getaway car for later in the evening. They think of everything, so you don't have to worry about forgetting something. Even during a pandemic with health and safety guidelines constantly changing, they always knew what to do, how to help and how to make us feel calm, safe and special. In addition, they encouraged us to visit Shirley Acres throughout our wedding week to drop off items for the wedding and answered our phone calls and emails promptly and kindly the entire time. Their landscaping and floral work are absolutely gorgeous, so the indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and beautiful. They went above and beyond to ensure that we could enjoy this special day with all of our loved ones, and we cannot thank them enough.

Aaliya and I had our reception at Shirley Acres in November 2019 – Sorry for the delayed post, Bob. We looked at 15-20 venues around Houston before going to Shirley Acres. The moment we stepped onto the property, we fell in love with it. It had the perfect natural beauty with a rustic, Texan feel. Bob and his team were really great hosts and extremely helpful every step of the way. The wedding/reception packages are very reasonably prices, and worth every penny. They cover all your needs, plus a little more. The floral decoration and setup was absolutely stunning. It was perfection – right from the arrangement of the tables to each flower petal. Almost every single one of our 300 guests was in awe of the ambience and the beauty of Shirley Acres. The personal attention and care provided by Bob and his team was extremely gratifying – they go above and beyond to make sure you are at ease. People say you can’t really enjoy your wedding day and it goes by so fast. We agree, it went by real fast, but we enjoyed every minute of it. All thanks to the Team at Shirley Acres. They were on top of everything, from coordinating with all the vendors, taking care of the guests to even taking care of us! Thank you, Summer, Charity and rest of the crew! Shirley Acres was amazing! Everyone I interacted with was so nice and extremely helpful. My coordinator, Jennifer, gave me advice when needed (which was a lot!). I didn’t really know what I wanted coming into it, but what I was given was amazing. The evening couldn’t have gone better! We had the wedding outside, and it was beautiful! There were places for everyone to get ready, and they were very flexible when needed. The only thing I would mention is the speed of the waitstaff. Several people told me their food and drinks were taken way too fast. All in all, I would do it all over again with Shirley Acres!! Thank you so much for such a memorable and amazing day!

I got married at Shirley Acres 9/28/2019. I cannot recommend this venue enough! My mom and I visited 20+ venues before we made our decision and I’m so happy we chose Shirley Acres! All members of the staff were friendly, accommodating and very understanding as we went though every step of the wedding planning process. Jennifer made sure my day went perfectly from the moment we stepped foot on the property. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff made us feel as though we were family. Don’t hesitant, Shirley Acres is the best choice for a stress-free PERFECT wedding.

I just got married this past Sunday and Shirley Acres was amazing! Wonderful staff! Kelley the coordinator was the sweetest! The entire experience was so nice. The staff really works with your request..They took the stress right off our shoulders and made our day so spectacular. So happy we went with Shirley acres. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Truly an amazing venue to have your wedding at.

Shirley Acres is an exceptional wedding venue!! I got married here on October 5th, 2019. We had the ceremony in the outdoor courtyard and the reception was in the Garden Room. Both locations were beautiful backdrops for our special day. I live out of state so it was very important for us to find a venue that provided most of the services in house so we did not have to search for a ton of different vendors. We were so thankful to find Shirley Acres. We used their florist, day-of coordinator, cake, and catering services which made wedding planning much less stressful. Jim the florist did an amazing job on the bouquets and floral centerpieces. I absolutely loved my bouquet, and it turned out better than I had envisioned. We got so many compliments from guests on how tasty the food was from the in-house catering team. (We chose the chicken, salmon, vegetables, and mashed potatoes) I loved how our semi-naked cake turned out, and the raspberry and almond cream fillings were delicious! Charity was our wedding planner and was so helpful throughout the planning process! She made sure our day went off perfectly and put me at ease on our big day. We also used the on-site guest house for the weekend which was the perfect place for the bridal party and mothers to get their hair and makeup done. There was plenty of space and rooms to accommodate everyone, and I loved having a big sleepover with my bridesmaids the night before the wedding! We let the bridesmaids and their dates stay at the guest house after the wedding while my husband and I stayed at a hotel downtown. I cannot say enough good things about Shirley Acres, their team, and our experience with them! They helped to make our wedding dreams a reality! I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking!

I will sing praises about Shirley Acres forever! They made my dream wedding come to life. From the first meeting with Bob to the detail meetings with our coordinator (Jennifer) everyone we met and worked with were so kind, patient and happy to help. We had our wedding and reception in the Garden room and loved it. The flip was seamless. Our guests LOVED the food/cake. The DJ did a great job of picking music to keep the crowd on the dance floor. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the guest house-it's so spacious and has tons of natural light for makeup/hair.The staff really listened to my requests and did their best to make it happen. Every detail was thought of and executed to perfection! Shirley Acres made our #BASSdayever a success!

I loved the all inclusive experience that Shirley Acres offered. They provided delicious food, wine and beer, gorgeous flowers and table settings, a great DJ and a beautiful venue. I also love the officiant they provided us, Myndi Ramey. She was wonderful and helped us to have the personalized ceremony we were hoping for. Jennifer Buchholtz was our day of coordinator and did an excellent job. She had everything covered, helped the day run smoothly and kept me at ease. Bob Shirley the owner was very kind and accommodating throughout my whole wedding experience. I enjoyed working with all of them very much and they helped to creat an unforgettable day for me. My only critique is that I would have liked more transparency during the open houses when trying food and cake about which items were an up-charge. When tasting cake my favorites all came with an up charge but I wasn’t aware of that until sitting down with my coordinator to choose my wedding cake. I ended up going with a flavor that was included with what I had already paid for and it was delicious but I would have liked to know while I was tasting the cake what was actually included.

Shirley Acres gave me the wedding of my dreams . They made the whole process of planning a wedding as stress free as possible . The dj was fantastic and had the whole room having a good time . We went with the bbq menu which was delicious , they had an extra container in our get away car that was quickly devoured . I can never thank Jennifer and the other team members enough for how amazing they were !!

We had a fantastic wedding at Shirley Acres this fall! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We loved how everything turned out and would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding, great food, and more! You're able to get your floral items, cake, some wedding decorations and more all through the venue. Bob Shirley and his team do a great job.

The first day that my husband and I went to tour Shirley Acres we were welcomed by Bob the owner. He showed us the venue and then we sat down to talk about what they offered. I was fascinated to learn that they are an all inclusive wedding venue. That was exactly what I was looking for. We decided to book our wedding day because the place is beautiful, we got excellent service and we were offered everything we wanted within our budget. We were also invited to an open house and had the opportunity to taste their delicious food including cakes. It was great because we were able to get ideas of flower arrangements and talk to the florist. Our wedding coordinator was amazing! I honestly felt like my wedding was the the most important because of the level of involvement from my coordinator she made everything I envisioned come alive! The day of our wedding we got so many compliments but most were about how delicious the food was. I am extremely happy that we chose this venue because they basically take care of everything for you. I did not have to worry about looking for venders. I can honestly say that I enjoyed the whole wedding process thanks to the Shirley Acres staff.

We had our wedding here on July 19, 2019, and it was FABULOUS! We had our ceremony and reception in the Garden Room, and it was beautiful! Everything turned out amazing, from the flowers to the food to the DJ and event coordinator (Charity), it was all incredible! The grounds are gorgeous for pictures, the staff was all friendly. We also rented the Guesthouse on property for our Bridal Party for the night before and of the wedding, and it made everything so convenient, plus the Guesthouse was awesome! Mr. Bob Shirley was great to work with too! We had so many compliments from so many guests. We highly recommend this venue!!!!

Best venue in Northwest Houston. They made my day super special. I had the BEST day-of wedding coordinator, Jennifer. I'm a perfectionist and need to have control of everything but for the first time in my life I let go and Jennifer was there taking care of every detail. 3500 words is not enough to explain the professionalism, genuine care, and attention to detail that this entire staff provided to our wedding. We chose an outdoor ceremony (with plan B indoors) and the pavilion for the redemption. The grounds, flowers, music, food, and decor were astonishing. Providing the perfect background for our photographer Chip Gillipse - who captured the moments for us to cherish for years to come. If you are looking at other venues in this area or if you have to travel - look no more. There are plenty hotels nearby for your guests. I’m not going continue to go on and on about our experience, see for yourself.

I looked at several venues before stopping by Shirley Acres. Meeting the owner, Bob, I just felt like I wouldn’t have to worry about anything and I was right! I “didn’t want” an outdoor wedding but the garden area was so beautiful I couldn’t resist. They have a few places for indoor ceremonies too but the garden is AMAZING. The weather ended up being perfect, the team at Shirley Acres was there for every planning stage and my coordinator Jennifer was beyond helpful. She was calm and focused, attending to my every need. There were so many little touches that were specific to my fiancé and I. I could not have hoped for a more perfect day. The food was great and there were a lot of options. My guests all raves about how delicious the dinner was. The cake (included in our package, but thoughtfully designed by Jennifer and I) was beautiful and tasted great. There are truly not enough complimentary things I could say about this place. Linens, DJ, florals, centerpieces... all perfect!

I couldn't be more pleased with this venue. They were so accommodating with every request, responsive to all my questions, and everything ran like clockwork on the day of. Not to mention it's a beautiful venue and we got several compliments on the food. I would definitely recommend them!

Jennifer was an excellent coordinator. We did not have to worry about a thing the night of our reception. Mr. Shirley is awesome to work with and very personable. Krystal was also very helpful throughout the planning process. Everyone was so accommodating and made us feel like we were planning with our family as they were so excited to be a part of the process. The day of the wedding I just had to bring in my decor and they set up everything perfectly! Their in house flowers were fantastic and I highly recommend their florist. Their lot is absolutely stunning for pictures especially at night. We were so elated with the entire process and would recommend Shirley Acres to everyone.

Everything was wonderful and you could not have a better staff. We looked at over 15 venues in greater Houston area and so glad we chose Shirley Acres. It was the best day and the venue surpassed every expectation we had.

I didn't get married myself here it was my sisters wedding and it was so beautiful! The owner, Bob Shirley, made sure to make us feel welcome from the first time we visited the venue. My sister looked amazing and we had an amazing time! Every little detail was BETTER than what we expected and oh my.. the food was out of this world! Shirley Acres catering is some of the best food I've ever had! The chefs are top notch. This overall experience was beautiful and i recommend all soon to be brides go take a tour to see it for yourselves!

Staff at shirley acre is absolutely amazing!!! They are so accommodating and sweet! I felt very confident after booking with them because they are such genuine people! Jennifer, our wedding coordinator was so amazing! Easy to stay in contact with and she was with me the whole day! I felt like she was a bridesmaid or one of my sisters!! My guests loved the food, the wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful in the garden, and jim the florist did an absolutely amazing job!! My family stayed in the guest house for 2 nights and they loved it, very comfortable and spacious for my whole family! It was the perfect setting for our tea ceremony ( vietnamese ceremony). I would 100% recommend shirley acre to anyone looking for a venue!! In fact, ive spread the word to a couple of co workers that are getting married!! I cannot thank them enough for all that they did to make my wedding day so perfect!!

I have done events before with them and have been happy, but I was not impressed this time around. I was looking at them as a possible location for our daughter's wedding.... it took Karla 4-5 emails to send an attachment with original quote, we had an appointment scheduled for my daughter to go out and look at the venue plus they were revising the quote based on some things we discussed (just a couple of small things). We were ask to change our appointment time so we could meet with Bob, we agreed. My daughter shows up at the new appointment time and doesn't get to meet with Bob and the quote has not been prepared. So, Krystal does a quote a for more than $6,000 more than the original quote. I'm only giving them the one star because of past events, based on this experience they would get "0". If this is how they run the show over there now, I would run for the hills and not use them.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Beautiful garden wedding and great reception hall! Perfect! The entire staff were amazing - from Bob to Jennifer to Heidi! Great team! They coordinated the wedding, the food was delicious, cake was perfect and yummy, flowers were gorgeous. Everyone was very caring! They took care of everything!!! We just showed up! NO STRESS!!!

Shirley Acres made my wedding a dream come true. Our coordinator, Jennifer, was spectacular. She walked me through the entire planning process in respect to Shirley Acres portion and made the rehearsal and wedding day a breeze. She even checked on me the whole event to see if I needed a drink, food, etc. Jim the Florist was amazing! He did beautiful work and was so friendly and accommodating. All in all, the food was great, set up beautiful, sound system on point, as well as everything else. Also, the guest house is AWESOME! All the girls stayed there the night before and we had a blast. I cannot recommend Shirley Acres enough! Every employee is kind, professional, efficient, and exceptional at their job. They are quick and excellent communicators and do everything they can to make sure that your wedding day runs smoothly. Even though we only had a three month engagement, Krystal and Jennifer were on the ball in making sure that every detail was perfect. I was so relieved to know that I didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding! The flowers and decor were beautiful and the food was delicious. Overall, we could not have asked for a better or more stress-free day.

My husband and I work full time , and are not from the Houston area, so it was a blessing to know that we were in good hands. The staff, venue, communication, FLOWERS, food, price---we could go on and on. They have everything you need all in one venue. It makes everything less stressful , and the guests will love it!! Beautiful indoor and outdoor venue! Bob Shirley and his team were kind, helpful, and willing to work with your budget. Shirley Acres provided all inclusive packages so you won't have to worry about gathering florists, chefs, bakers, etc. yourself!

We got married 11/15/2016 here, and everything was more than expected. From the floral arrangements to intricate details of decorations, everything was prepared perfectly. We were even more impressed with the staff that simply knew what to do in every step. We as bride and groom thought we could get everything under control, but wow we were so wrong! If it weren't for Christina and Bob, the wedding wouldn't have been half as good as it had been. We are so grateful of their care and thoughtfulness. all of our guests loved the venue. The food was perfect, just phenomenal! In general, the whole experience felt surreal, we really didn't have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend, and you sure won't be disappointed.

I am a hospitality professional and have been an events coordinator, wedding coordinator and sales manager long enough to know that what the coordinator, Sheila, does is not only sabatoging but also corrupt. Sheila takes advantage of young brides and treats the families of the bride and groom like second rate citizens. 1.) The Brides Mother was doing last minute errands and was headed to the bridal suite but couldn't find it she asked SHEILA where to go and Sheila directed her to the reception hall (knowing full well this was the brides mother). The Brides mother didn't even get to be there when her daughter was getting ready. She missed all the photos with the bride in the suite. Sheila claims its due to the fact that the bride said she didn't want anyone around during the first look. So how does the first look correlate to getting ready in the suites? IT DOES NOT. 2.) The Grooms Dad tried to see the Groom while he was getting ready and SHEILA told him he "wasn't allowed" in the room and told him he needed to leave. 3.) SHEILA told the DJ to be boring, that the bride wouldn't like any fun music. Thankfully the DJ was smart enough to call the bride to confirm the request because he didn't feel it was an accurate statement. Of course the venue tried to blame the DJ but the DJ was AWESOME 4.) The bride had a menu change and SHEILA told the bride that she would take away the fruit table since she changed her menu. The fruit table was never part of a certain menu selection. It was an incentive to sign during the bridal extravaganza. 5.) the florals were ALL wrong. Colors are not what the bride ordered and looked reused from the night before. YOU COULD HAVE ATLEAST PUT THEM IN A COOLER SO THEY WEREN'T DROOPY AND GROSS. THE BEST PART IS WHEN THE MOH AND BEST MAN WERE GOING TO DO THEIR SPEECHES THIS SHEILA GOT THE ENTIRE STAFF TO GO TO THE PHOTO BOOTH TO TAKE GROUP PHOTOS WHICH COMPLETELY DISTRACTED THE WEDDING GUESTS FROM THE SPEECHES. Completely unprofessional. CONS -Sheila -Sheila's Attitude -Sheila does all this really hateful stuff with a smile on her face. It really is so bizarre. The Grooms dad even called Sheila a Meanie and an old hag who must be jealous of the brides special day. -the owners back their incompetent workers and don't care if they screw up and ruin the experience for the people that paid for the wedding. There is no value to the special moments that were taken away from the families. -prepare to be eaten alive by mosquitoes - the owner Bob just talks to you like you're dumb when giving him feedback There are way too many things that went wrong to detail here, however, this was just the beginning. DO NOT BOOK AT SHIRLEY ACRES! Keep your money and look elsewhere. The headache is not worth it. These people are LIARS and corrupt. No remorse to any of these situations. No compensation for their lack of executing an event. To know more than one wedding couple has complained about this wedding coordinator and they have done NOTHING about it is outrageous. The families that paid for this wedding expected certain experiences. The families were robbed of these and the venue and OWNER allows this and thinks it is acceptable. Heinous.

Words cannot express how wonderful our wedding at Shirley Acres was. Everything was so much more than I expected. Shelia was an absolute dream to work with! She knew everything I needed before I even knew. She did such a great job incorporating my extra decor(even though it was frivolous because the decor provided was amazing!). Shelia was even there to calm me now when I had a minor meltdown before heading out to the ceremony! The food is cooked on sight with many options to choose from. My hubby and I chose the fajitas and received raving reviews from all of our guests on how good they were! We couldn't get all of our belongings picked up that evening and Shirley Acres packaged everything up for us and let us get it picked up the next business day! I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely recommend this venue to anyone who asks!

Shirley Acres is beautiful from the outside to the big room for the reception. Even though my wedding ceremony had to be moved inside due to rain, it was still beautiful. The food was great and the decoration was beautiful. On our rehersal night, I brought everything that would be used in our wedding day, our coordinator Christina was labeling all our stuff and when she saw my decoration for the top of the cake she said " wow, that is old!" And I jumped and said to her, that was my mom and dad wedding decor for their cake and I wanted to keep it running in the family. Is the meaning of it and I was really bothered by it. You don't say that, it was completely rude. That was strike one. Strike two: Our wedding was an interfaith ceremony, and in the Jewish traditions you break a glass. I brought that glass among other things and I gave it to my coordinator Christina. Christina comes back and asked "where is the glass? , so I can put it in the table were the unity candle is". Well she lost it and we couldn't find it and she said " I saw it, I am not crazy". So the glass was later found at the end of our wedding, but the meaningful of that special moment was taken away, I trusted her with those things that way I could get ready. Strike three: I had wedding place cards, I set them up on the table.(the coordinator knew I would have those) She comes and asked if she could help and then she asked " how would they know where they are sitting?" So I said well I got numbers for the table, so since you are the expert; how should we do this? And all she could tell me was " I don't know, let them find their name" Sure enough, when my husband and I were getting ready to come in our reception; she comes and tells me, some people cannot find were they are sitting, what should I do!! I was not happy about that, I had to tell her, " they can seat wherever they want!" Strike four: We were told by the owner of Shirley Acres; was that there will be an amount of wine/beer for the wedding, if for whatever reason we need to open another, we will have extra. And the coordinate will come and ask if we need to open. My dad had to look for the coordinator because she was nowhere to be found, finally when he saw her; her asked if we can have more wine? Her answer was " there's no more wine/ beer and we don't have extras. Strike five: We were told by our guest, was that the children had some mimosas. That table with the mimosas fountain was close to the soft drink and it wasn't labeled. We felt horrible. Even though our wedding was nice, I think that those detail could have been prevented. If you get Christina as a coordinator, prepare yourself to do everything and don't count on her, she may loose some of your special props for the wedding and she doesn't know how to guide you.

This venue was amazing! They did a great job and were very flexible and accommodating to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone! The food, drinks, DJ, flowers, staff -- everything was incredible! Thank you all so much for making our day so memorable.
