Shooby Doo Catering

Shooby Doo was wonderful to work with. They were very involved in the run-up to the wedding and were able to adjust quickly as we switched between a few different meal options. They had only done a wedding or two at Lairmont Manor so they took the time to go through a detailed walkthrough of the site to make sure that our day would run perfectly, which it did. Their food is fantastic and their alcohol service was exactly what we were looking for. They sourced local beer (Fremont Brewing) and wine and made great signature cocktails. Our guests particularly loved the spicy margarita!

Shooby Doo was our required caterer by our venue and we couldn't of been happier. We worked Reese, and my husband knew her from a previous good industry job. She was so patient with us and with my husband being a picky chef. The whole team was great from the tasting to the wedding. Reese is so fun and easy to talk to. The food was delicious and everyone is still talking about our food from the wedding. Definitely recommend Shooby Doo!

We didn't have an option for catering, as Shooby Doo has an exclusive contract with our venue, but we couldn't have been happier with the results! They have an extensive menu to choose from, flexibility with tweaks to dishes, and were very sensitive to dietary restrictions and special requests. Olivia was great with communication and made sure that we were well-informed and happy with all of our catering choices. The food and wine was all AMAZING, and many of our guests were raving about it all. I am not sure if I would classify them as "$$ — affordable", but the price was absolutely indicative of the quality of the food and their service.

Book Shooby Doo! I cannot say enough good things about them! First off, the food is exceptional. Half of the guests at our wedding said this was the best wedding meal they had ever had, and possibly the best meal they had eaten in their lives (and my new husband and I concur)! The service was flawless - their wait staff were kind, professional, and kept things moving throughout the evening. AND the planning with them was seamless. Ariana was so responsive and helpful every step of the way.

Worked with Maggie and she was the best! Helped us to craft a menu that worked for everyone and was DELICIOUS. Additionally, the staff during our wedding were great, during our toasts I ran out of champagne and one of the bartenders noticed and brought me a new glass before I even realized mine was empty! Multiple guests commented on how fun the bartenders were. My husband and I are sosososo impressed how shooby doo went above and beyond!!!

One of the most important parts of a wedding is the food and Shooby Doo does not disappoint! First and foremost, the food is spectacular. One of our biggest concerns was making sure the food at our wedding was memorable for our guests. We were told numerous times that the food at our wedding was one of the best our guests have had. I highly recommend doing a late night snack towards the end of you reception. Secondly, it was a joy to work with their planner, Sierra. She was very thorough with all the details regarding food at the reception and overall easy to work with. Finally, the staff who worked the reception — all were so friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. We also had many of our guests compliment the bartenders working the event - they were all so kind and fun! Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this vendor. If you are thinking about having Shooby Doo cater your event - I say go for it! I can not be happier with this caterer and would also say they are worth the money!

Nicole and Ariana were a dream to work with prior to our big day. They were very responsive, communicative, and answered all of our many many questions to ensure all of the logistics were set. They helped us figure out our alcohol quantities to ensure we had enough for the entire night. Shooby took care of setting up, clean up, rentals, and just about anything else you can imagine. The appetizers were so delicious, our guests were raving about them! The entire wait staff was so friendly and accommodating, they were great! The one downside was during our reception dinner and there was an abnormally long gap between when our salad course and entree courses came out. This affected our reception timeline for the rest of the evening. We understand it is difficult to serve such a large group at one time, but the timing was just way off. In the midst of it all, Shooby forgot to feed our vendors which was the most disappointing part of it all. We wanted to ensure our vendors were well fed since they were working hard throughout our entire wedding. This also caused our reception timeline to change since we wanted our vendors to have time to eat. Overall for the most part, Shooby was great, especially in the planning process. The execution could have definitely been smoother, but at the end of the day, we had a great time and Shooby played a big part to make it a success.

Nicole was amazing from start to finish! So easy to work with, friendly and our friends and family raved about the food!! Couldn’t have asked for a better caterer for our big day.

Shooby Doo Catering went above and beyond for our Orcas Island wedding and was a pleasure to work with throughout despite being incredibly busy with the 2021 wedding/event surge (huge shout out to Nicole who was unceasingly responsive, patient, and kind!). We had complicated wedding logistics (e.g., outdoor venue, everything transported via ferry, etc.) and the Shooby team was accommodating and creative, helping us plan for travel, staffing, and a fully outdoor mobile kitchen! With the complexity of the set up we thought the food might be impacted (reasonably), but it was impeccable and served seamlessly. Guests raved to us about all four of our meal options and had a blast at the oyster bar (worth the cost if you're considering...) . Notably, portions were also very generous which I find rare in wedding catering. Choosing a caterer was one of our biggest wedding decisions and we couldn't be happier we went with Shooby Doo.

The food was AMAZING! Passed apps for the cocktail hour were so good, and the buffet was delicious! The service was also fantastic, and they made the entire reception seamless. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer for their wedding.

Shooby Doo Catering was fabulous! The food was the best wedding food I have ever had! Weeks after, I still have guests telling me they loved the food! Shooby Doo was great throughout the entire planning process. We had multiple meetings where we tasted the food choices, and discussed our wedding plan. They were very accommodating, and helped us plan the best menu for our budget and desires. Which to my joy included freshly shucked oysters on the beach! The day of the wedding Shooby Doo staff was helpful, and efficient. They even made sure my husband and I were able to taste the appetizers, and had a cocktail since we were so busy running around during the cocktail hour! I wish I could get married again so I could eat Shooby Doo's food all over again! PS- Get the mashed potatoes! You wont regret it!

I wish there was a 5+ Star Rating on this! ShoobyDoo was FANTASTIC in every aspect. Planning a wedding is a year-long process, and knowing how many events and other parties that Shooby Doo has on their calendar, the ENTIRE time they made us feel like we were VIPs and that all our questions were of upmost importance! Thank you ShoobyDoo for the great experience, and of course, the DELICIOUS food! We are so grateful to you guys for the amazing work!

Shooby Doo is all around amazing and I would not hesitate to work with them again! As many other reviewers have noted, the food is absolutely delicious and our guests had rave reviews! Everything we had during the tasting was great and they were able to replicate it at mass scale at our wedding. Even the things we did not taste but gave to our guests did not disappoint. We highly recommend the braised short ribs, ahi tuna wontons, pear and gorgonzola crostini, and coconut rice cake with lemongrass chicken. All of the staff of Shooby Doo are fantastic professionals. They did a site visit to our house, which was our wedding venue, and asked many great questions and had very helpful suggestions to make the day run as smoothly as possible. The staff truly shined, though, when the skies unexpectedly opened up right as dinner service was about to start, and they had to scramble to get all the buffet food moved from outside to inside our house. They were quick to come up with a solution without bothering us. They just made it work! We had food left over after the event but not too much. It seemed that we were low on alcohol near the end of the night, but somehow they took care of it. What was so unexpected was how clean the left everything at the end of the night! We can't begin to express how appreciative we were for the immense effort that the staff of Shooby Doo took to not only clean the kitchen but also mop up the floors where our guests had come in with their muddy shoes due to the unexpected deluge of rain. Thank you so much to Lauren, James, Olivia and the other staff and chefs for making our day so special!
