I got married a couple weeks ago at Excelsior. We ordered 3 large chandeliers. When I walked into the room everything was all set up and ready to go. I didn't have to worry about anything at all. They were in the exact places they needed to be. As a bride when i walked into the room i was speechless. They were beautiful and were such great quality. They really made the room look like a million bucks! Hire this company for all your lighting wedding day needs! Thank you Shumaker for making our wedding day all more special!

Also, we had a live flower wall which would have been tough to pull off, had it not been for the hanging structure that Shumaker provided. g with all of the questions and ideas I threw at her. Separately - they completely took care of setup and take down. They were the easiest vendor to work with as far as that was concerned! The only reason I'm not giving it 4 or 5-star review was that the design/placement of our one lighting fixture was actually not placed in the right area. It was placed too close to the band, leaving nothing where all of the people were seating during our reception. Basically, a waste of money as it is a focal fixture, not just a chandelier. What really made me REALLY question it more was the fact that one of the owners of Excelsior mentioned "the odd placement choice made by the designer". I wouldn't have known any different from blueprints (and never being in the space with a band set up), so I was relying on their expertise and experience working at this vendor to know the best placement or a single fixture with additional band lighting. They just fell a bit short for that main lighting fixture (what was supposed to be a focal point in the room). The other fixtures were just what we needed.

reception space into something from my wildest dreams. When I saw it being set up it truly took my breath away because it was even more spectacular in real life. We got ready in the room attached to the reception area so I got to see the entire place transform, and my bridesmaids said over and over again how unbelievable the room looked with the drapery. The crew that set everything up was so kind and JoAnn who I worked with on the back-end was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. If you want to elevate your day to a true fairytale, I highly recommend Shumaker for your special occasion.

n. We had some ideas, but weren't really sure how realistic (or affordable!) any of them would be. That's where Dustin and the team at Shumaker came in! They met with us at the venue, and came prepared with fantastic ideas and creative solutions. We absolutely loved the way it all turned out, and the custom lighting really made the space all the more special and unique. Dustin was helpful, kind, and responsive, and they were very good about working with me, and the venue to make sure everything was set up correctly, and on time. We couldn't be more pleased with our service, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for special lighting solutions- especially for unique venues!

We reached out to Shumaker right away and with Dustin's prompt responses & ability to squeeze us in with such short notice was absolutely wonderful! day before the wedding I showed up at the venue and it was all setup and beautiful. Would without a doubt use them again for any event!

of getting the rentals was pretty terrible, however. I received email confirmation prior to the wedding that the items we had rented would be installed by 8am. We had a floral garland to drape over one of the rentals that would need to be installed, so we arrived at the venue at 9am ready to do this. There was nothing there, and no staff seemed to be installing anything. I had to call the emergency number I'd been given and was told that we weren't on the schedule on their end until 10am. Then, the people installing the items were late. They took approximately 90 minutes to install the items, so I spend several hours on the morning of the wedding waiting for these folks. We'd also been told that in order to drap the garland over the ladder that was being hung that we would need a 6 foot ladder to do so. We'd brought along an 8 foot ladder, just to be on the safe side. Then, the actual ladder was hoisted up to about 14-15 feet in the air, rendering our ladder useless. We assumed that would be okay because the people from Shumaker had 10 and 12 foot ladders to complete the installation and we were standing there with this 10 foot garland waiting for them, so perhaps they would help. On the contrary, they wrapped up their part of the job and left without a word. We only lucked out that a member of their team forgot his drink and came back to see us struggling to get the garland hung, at which point he let us borrow one of their taller ladders. The end result was beautiful, though I certainly could have done without all of the wrong information and impatient waiting on the morning of the wedding.

couple months before our wedding in Lancaster we met with JoAnn and she was truly a blessing. She helped us narrow down what we truly wanted and tried to accommodate every crazy idea that we had. Shumaker did a amazing job setting up at our wedding and had everything taken down the night of the wedding. They were honestly in and out faster than I realized. I can not thank them enough for making our venue look absolutely stunning!

know that Shumaker is so familiar with the staff at the Inn, and they provide a phone number to call someone in case anything needs to be fixed during the event. We received emails updating us beginning a couple days before the wedding that the floral ring had been delivered so that the florist could begin working on it. Everything came together perfectly, and it was just incredible to dance under the beautiful and unique floral ring! It was well worth the money. Shumaker came at the end of the night and broke everything down, so everything was seamless on our end. Thank you Shumaker for helping to make our wedding a magical and memorable experience!

s SO nice. He always responded to me in a timely manner which is key when planning a wedding. Shumaker PDT delivered, set-up, and removed all the draping which was nice. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The draping that was used at my wedding was in great conditions too. No stains, no holes, no wrinkles, etc. If you are looking for any type of draping for a wedding or even an event, I would highly recommend them. There prices are very reasonable as well! You will not be disappointed.

We only desired the dance floor drapery but that did not meet the minimum amount for rentals so we added the barn entrance. The drapery looked phenomenal and was just enough decor to soften/decorate the beautiful wood barn. We did NOT experience any issues and our contact, JoAnn, was very responsive and professional.

Only a couple of weeks before the wedding, I had to change the location of where the cake table would be hung to somewhere new to Dustin & his team (they work at the farm often) and they accomidated the changes without hesitation! Dustin and his crew were the first people to arrive at the farm the morning of the venue and had everything set up within no time. I would highly recommend working with them!

Dustin was very nice and thorough during our consultation and very prompt with answering e-mails. Shumaker handled all the coordination with Fireside regarding their setup and removal, giving us one less thing to worry about!

nquiry about lounge space in the reception space and ended with adding AWESOME Edison lights over the cake display. Dustin was very prompt with emails, gave excellent recommendations in terms of furniture and other decor ideas, and even went to the venue itself to look firsthand at the workspace. The decor/furniture that was selected worked PERFECTLY with the venue and the vibe we wanted. All of his emails were detailed and with itemized costs, which was easy to review and decide what can stay and what goes. I reached out in 02/16 with an inquiry about adding Edison lights over the cake and perhaps a lighted curtain to frame the live band. He followed up promptly, I could not give a decision immediately at that time, so he sent a friendly email reminder just weeks before the wedding (the time lapse was on my end). Even in that short time frame, he was accommodating and followed through on the product. During the period of uncertainty of the additions, such as the Edison lights and lighted curtain, he offered to meet in person to review, discuss, and show the products in question. You're probably wondering why I'm rating this experience with 4 starts, instead of 5? Well, during the February 2016 additional inquiry (which was the Edison lights and lighted curtain), a lounge area for the cocktail hour was also thrown in, despite my request for just Edison lights and a lighted curtain. So that would have been two lounge areas instead of just the one, which we already agreed, paid the deposit, and signed the contract. I rejected the additional lounge space for the cocktail hour area, though its price remained in the revised quote (because we were interested in the Edison lights and lighted curtain) until the very end. We were very firm in the decision to remove that extra lounge area from the final quote and refused to proceed until it was done. Dustin did so. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the items that were suggested and used just complimented the venue and our look. Just be sure to thoroughly review the quote and advocate strongly if something needs to be adjusted/removed.
