Kathie and Jacqui of SBS Weddings were a total necessity in the coordination of our recent wedding at La Playa. Without them, I can confidently say that our month-of would have been much more stressful! While my mother and I did the majority of the planning, up until the 'month of,' Kathie & Jacqui were able to take the reins and jump in to finalize all of the last details, coordinate with vendors, and ensure that the day went off without a hitch! A perfect example of their expertise was their ability to handle a high anxiety situation the day before the wedding - my dress arriving from dry cleaners (where it had been steamed) dirty! Kathie was able to directly reach out to the owner, who personally came by the hotel to assess and to transport the dress back to the cleaners to be treated. The dress was later delivered straight to my suite while I was at the rehearsal dinner. Without SBS, I know I would have been so much more stressed by that incident. Total lifesavers!

Side by Side (Jacqui and Kathie) were absolutely incredible to work with! They are truly an amazing mother daughter duo! From our first meeting with Jacqui and Kathie to our very last meeting a couple weeks before our big day not once did I ever worry or stress that things wouldn’t go as planned the day of. They truly turned our dream wedding into a real life memory and we are so grateful for them. They are professional, kind, hard working, big hearted, and a dream to work with. They made everything so smooth from day one and constantly kept us on the appropriate timeline of getting things done. Not to mention they have incredible connections with a large amount of vendors in the area and they did an amazing job with communicating with each of our vendors. I originally thought I would plan our wedding on my own, but when I realized how much goes into it I decided to book SBS and boy am I happy that I did! SBS Weddings did an amazing job helping to bring our dream wedding to life. They were prompt in their responses and flexible in their availability. They did an amazing job with the day of coordination ensuring everything ran smoothly and I truly felt like I did not have to worry with my wedding in their hands. I hired Kathie and Jacqui for the month of planning and I really was disappointed with their performance. I met them during a visit and thought they were wonderful but that wasn't who showed up on my wedding weekend. I thought that once the month of the wedding came I would be able to sit back a bit and not answer a million emails and coordinate things. I was answering emails from vendors up until the morning of my wedding. I felt they were disorganized and really did nothing to help with the stress of the day of the wedding. The rehearsal was very unorganized and left my family more nervous for the day of the wedding than before we started. I left them a few things to do the day of the wedding and they didn't do them correctly. I honestly just wished I did them myself because I know they would have gotten done. I handed them a letter the morning of my wedding to give to my husband to open so he could have a special moment and I found out right before my introduction that they forgot to give it to him. They said they got to busy with other things and just forgot, this is inexcusable. There were a million other people I could have trusted with that but I figured this is what I hired them for I should use their services for this. This completely broke my heart and really upset me because I will not be able to get that moment back and I was so mad at myself that I trusted them with something so important. I even had to remind them a few minutes before I walked down the aisle, “Do you have the rings for the wedding?" (Which I figured they wouldn't). Kathie responded, "Your best man doesn't have them?" The rings were being photographed, so of course he wouldn't have them unless he was told to go get them. This is why you have a planner to organize your wedding day instead, I felt I was guiding them and reminding them each and every step of the way. I didn't feel I could trust them to get things done, and I felt my other vendors were not confident with them either. I normally never write reviews but I really feel their services were not worth the money I spent at all. I called and texted Kathie with no response multiple times the day and night before the wedding, she claimed the phones weren't working. I was so nervous I emailed her at 5 am the morning of my wedding since I never heard back from them. They also let guests walk down the aisle in the middle of my procession who were not in the wedding. The room was set up beautifully, which the hotel and the vendors probably would have done themselves. They did set up a popcorn bar for me, which was great. They also brought a wagon for my niece to be pulled in which was also very sweet. The bad REALLY outweighed the good, ​unfortunately. I hope this review helps future brides in their wedding process.

Kathie and Jacqui were absolutely amazing! After only a few conversations they were able to understand exactly what my husband and I wanted and make our dream wedding a reality. The best part for me was that on the day of the wedding I literally just had to show up! My husband and I and our families were able to enjoy every single second of our wedding day thanks to Kathie and Jacquie. They took the reigns and ensured that everything was absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend this duo enough!

Kathie and Jacqui were an absolute dream to work with! During the planning process, they were extremely organized, dedicated, and responsive. We hired them for the month-of package, originally we were going to go with the day- of but I am so happy we made the decision we did. Having them for the entire month before the wedding took off SO much stress! Regarding the day-of-coordination, they were actual masterminds. They took care of EVERYTHING - from set up to clean up - so that we and our families could truly relax and take in the day without worrying about any of the logistics. I just want to start by saying Kathie and Jacqui are an incredible duo! I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day, and a lot of that had to do with making the decision to put my trust in the SBS team. In all honesty, the thought of hiring a wedding planner never really crossed my mind, and I didn’t know if I needed a “day of coordinator." However, living in New York and planning a wedding in Florida started to weigh on me as more months continued to go by. In total, I was only engaged for a year, and it wasn't until two months before our wedding when the nerves and stress really reached new heights and the overwhelming concern that everything may not come together as I had envisioned. I knew I needed guidance, and after much thought/research I made the decision to reach out. By the time I even called Kathie, we had all of our vendors booked and I just hoped that they would be able to put my mind at ease a bit... & they did! In looking back, that intense feeling of pressure that I started to put on myself was a blessing because I could not have imagined my wedding day without the help of SBS. They were on the ball with every single aspect of the day (even spent hours tracking the weather); they listened to me when I sounded anxious, but guided me when I needed to make a decision; and they worked well with all of our other vendors. Our wedding day timeline went precisely as planned and for any brides reading this - that is SO important. By the time the big day comes, you realize there really are so many moving parts (some of which you can control and others that you cannot), and to not have to worry about any of them made all the difference. Kathie and Jacqui are punctual, professional, organized, and fun to be around. The day was orchestrated beautifully - even the minor details, making sure all of our signage and decor were displayed perfectly. I trusted their expertise/opinions and they exceeded any expectation I had. I can say honestly that on my wedding day, I was fully present and got to enjoy just being in the moment and celebrating with my husband, family, and friends - and that speaks volumes. They did such an excellent job making sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there - and we all went through that day with such ease. My only regret was not having them throughout the entire planning process! Kathie and Jacqui, thank you for everything!!

I seriously can’t explain how helpful Kathie and Jacqui were! They made planning a destination wedding so simple. They were there for any questions I had while planning. On our big day they were there to make sure everything ran smoothly. They made it the wedding I always dreamed of!

Outstanding! Creative! Perfectly seamless! Is how I would describe the events Side by Side planned for my husband and I. We host dinners for the Southwest Florida Food and Wine Fest and needed help!!! We met Kathie and Jacqui and instantly knew we could trust them and leave planning and coordinating in their hands. They are spectacular and are connected to the most amazing vendors (from venues to florists etc). They do everything including the finishing touches! The day of the events i have no stress! They truly are the ‘dynamic duo’ and we are lucky to call them friends.

Simply put, Kathie and Jacqui were absolutely amazing. Where do I start? With being from out of state, we were somewhat limited with our knowledge on vendors. They had recommendations that made every small detail phenomenal: Who should stem my dress? The closest government building to get our marriage license at? What time should we start the day at? When to send out invites? Most importantly, when things don’t go perfect, that’s when you realize how valuable they truly are. I had flown to Florida and went to the first nail salon I saw and got my nails French tipped. The next morning my nails were orange!! While I was frantically talking to my sister about what I should do, I emailed Kathie and Jacqui about a new place I could get my nails redone. By the time I was off the phone with my sister, I already had a response of where to go complete with a phone number and address so I didn’t have to look it up. And, of course I got them redone. As I am sitting here in Hawaii on our honeymoon 2 weeks later, they are still prefect. The typical Naples afternoon shower threatened our ability to have an outdoor wedding and cocktail hour. We had already agreed to move the cocktail hour, but I was really hoping we could still have our ceremony outdoors. We were down to the wire to make a decision if we could have it outdoors and were starting to make accommodations indoors as it was looking very doubtful. I was disheartened, but knew it was the best decision. Soon after, they approached us reporting that there was a small window of opportunity to have it outdoors but we would have to start early. They quickly switched gears and got everything set up for outdoors again and got our guests seated early. They pulled it off! It was one of the best decisions they made, as it was our “dream” to be married outside. We have them to thank for taking a risk to make our day perfect. I could go on and on about every little detail that they took care of for us. I woke up the day of my wedding feeling completely relaxed and content knowing Kathie and Jacqui had everything covered. I woke up the day after our wedding and felt ecstatic at how absolutely perfect our wedding day was thanks to Kathie and Jacqui! I would never think twice about hiring them to plan our wedding. The best decision that we made.

Kathie and Jacqui did an amazing job! We had our destination wedding on July 14, 2018 at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples Florida. They did an excellent job communicating with all the vendors and creating our timeline; and I was able to relax the day of the wedding knowing that all the details were well taken care of. They worked with the vendors the day of to make sure everything went smoothly. They are also well prepared with "tools" and were able to fix my dress when the bustle broke during the reception. They are very warm, friendly, fun and great at what they do. I highly recommend them!

Kathie and Jaqui did an outstanding job for the past year guiding us to hosting a magnificent wedding for our daughter Alexandra (and now son in law Eric). Their positive can do attitude made the year fun and fly by. The mother-daughter team made the perfect match for my daughter and I to work with to make sure all details were attended to. What an amazing treat to work with this mother daughter team. They have moved on from wedding planners and referee between my mother and I to hopefully lifelong friends. They were a amazing team to work with from day one. We interviewed over fifteen wedding planners and I could not be happier with our decision to choose Jacqui and Kathie. We used Side by Side Weddings as "day of coordinators" for my wedding at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Naples, but they were so much more than that! They met with my mother and me multiple times leading up to the wedding day but they really started to become a big help from about a month out where they did the most outstanding job of communicating with my vendors, creating timelines for everyone and everything, and attending to the details both big and small. I honestly cannot imagine "pulling it all together" in the final weeks as smoothly and efficiently as they did for us. And they did it so pleasantly, always with a positive attitude and a smile! If you are getting married in the Naples, Florida area, these two are a must-hire!! I utilized Kathie and Jacqui's month-of coordination for my 11/11/17 wedding. I am a very organized person and originally my mom and I thought we could do everything on our own, but I am SO glad we hired Kathie and Jacqui and truly do not know what I would have done without them. Beyond just their traditional month of coordination tasks (e.g. confirming all vendors, arrival times, making sure your day runs perfectly), they went above and beyond to help me pick up the pieces from some changes Hurricane Irma caused to our wedding day. Speaking of above and beyond, they also managed to address every tiny little detail - from ensuring my MANY personal items (frames, decor, etc.) were placed exactly how I wanted, to bringing double sided tape to help my bridesmaid dresses stay on these beautiful hangers I bought. Throughout the month before the wedding, they were so friendly and always available via phone and email. They know all of the vendors in the area personally and very well, and they were able to leverage those relationships to make the planning and day of the best it could be. They were SUCH a joy to work with and talk to, and I hope to stay in touch with them for years to come. Thank you so much, Kathie and Jacqui!

Hands down, Kathie is one of the greatest! Sadly, she was not available for my wedding date as she was already booked but she was incredibly helpful with advice and resources. I can't thank her enough for all the help in this difficult time we've had re-planning our whole wedding due to hurricane damage at our original destination. I wish I were able to work with her as she is so sweet and caring! You can tell she loves what she does. I highly recommend them.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for Side by Side Weddings (Kathie and Jacqui). They are incredibly talent at what they do! As soon as my husband and I chose them for our wedding planners our wedding just fell into place. They made my life (as the bride) extremely easy and stress free. Every one of their recommendations were spot on to what we were looking for. They are passionate, detailed, extremely organized and incredible hardworking. I woke up the day of my wedding completely at ease knowing the day was in their hands. Our wedding was truly a dream come true and we owe it all them. We could never thank them enough for the best day of our lives.

Using these two incredibly talented and professional ladies was the key to achieving the dream wedding my daughter imagined. Their attention and execution to detail to even the most minute detail resulted in my bride's vision being fulfilled beyond her wildest dreams. As an event planner herself of major international events, Lauren's ideas for her wedding were extremely sophisticated and specific, yet none too unmanageable or unachievable for these two perfectionists. Side by Side did a great job coordinating and working with our vendors on our wedding date. It was especially helpful since they had worked with the photographer and band in the past. Jacqui and Kathie took time to get to know us and our desires for the ceremony. Kathie and Jacqui are the best!! I honestly can not say enough wonderful things about them. I have a demanding work schedule and was planning our destination wedding on a shorter timeline. I was nervous that this would not be feasible based on all the time and energy it takes to plan a wedding, but they immediately set me at ease. They helped with initiating the planning process, organization, communication with vendors, working around my schedule to talk with me, creating timelines, and supporting me the day of the wedding- essentially managing the process from end-to-end while allowing me to create the aesthetic I wanted. Jacqui and Kathie are experts on the best vendors in the area and offered honest feedback which I valued being from out-of-town. They helped me to find vendors that fit perfectly for what I wanted and helped me stay on track all the way. Kathie and Jacqui are amazing at what they do and also genuinely wonderful people. I felt like I was planning our wedding with friends I've known for ages. They truly care and I knew they wanted the day to be perfect for us. I was able to fully enjoy our wedding day without worrying about day-of tasks, minor details, or any issues- they were on top of every detail so that we could just have FUN and enjoy the day. Without them, it would have been a drastically different experience and I'm so thankful they were able to be a part of our wedding. I was in need of a wedding planner who is professional, flexible, easy to work with, has a high taste level, is efficient, and would help me streamline the wedding planning process... and Kathie and Jacqui absolutely exceeded my expectations!! What a dynamic duo! I definitely couldn’t have gone through my wedding planning process without Kathie and Jacqui. From the very beginning of the planning down to the very last detail on the day of, they were just amazing. They recommended some fantastic vendors, were always there when I had a question (and I had a lot of questions), and just put together the most amazing wedding day I could have asked for. HAPPILY writing this review for a great team!! These two women went above and beyond for my special day. I hired them because our wedding was destination from NJ. My mother, husband and I had all vendors and most plans done, until I came across SBS to make everything run even more smoothly. They were the first two faces I welcomed into our suite the morning of the wedding. Bright and early, yet both so cheerful and truly excited for the day. They did not leave the site until I was upstairs in my suite, literally in the bathroom taking off my wedding dress to change and go to the after party. They were hands on in ways that you don’t realize until day of and how much more work there is it to done. I woke up that morning and I had NOTHING to worry about. I never even received a call or text from them bothering with question and/or answers. They took care of everything at that point for me. Many brides are on the phone during the morning of with vendors or things they may have forgotten about (last minute things DO exist— trust me!!) and go into full panic mode. With these two women, I promise there is NO stress. It was pleasant, calming, and I enjoyed every second with my girls until it was time to walk down the aisle! I give big props to Jacqui and Kathy for the stress free day and relaxed feel I had.
