They made me feel so at ease and I know everything was being covered - particularly all the small details I am so bad with! They also were fantastic at listening and making sure our wedding was going to be exactly what we wanted (and it definitely was). Not only did they make my life 1000x easier and made sure all the planning, coordinating with vendors, and actual even went off without a hitch, but they were SO FUN to work with! wedding. We had not much of a vision or opinion of what we wanted and had no vendors in mind. Ashlee and the team did a great job providing us with three options for each vendor and allowing us to choose from those. This made the process way less intimidating and we knew we were picking from the best of the best. They are so responsive and answered any little question we had (and there were a lot of those!) We also loved staying organized with the Aisle Planner website that is included. And then COVID hit and we had to move our wedding day. SSD handled communicating with every single vendor and figuring out which dates they were all available to ensure we could still have our dream wedding day just in 2021. They pulled this off seamless and made it very easy to change our wedding day. With such an emotional change, it was ideal to have a team supporting us every step of the way. They are extremely detail oriented and kept everything organized. When the big day finally came, we were stress free!! There was nothing any of us had to worry about because we knew SSD had it taken care of. They all become like family to us and we trusted them with everything! There is seriously no way we could have pulled this wedding off without them. They were our lifeline, our experts and our besties!! Cannot recommend SSD enough😊

The team worked seamlessly with the couple on every venue and special touch and gracious detail.. and then pulled off not only a wedding ceremony that summer, but moved all the big celebration events to a year later - this summer! Throughout all the chaos of the pandemic, Ashlee and her team kept their cool, repeatedly and continuously coming up with creative and beautiful solutions to all the millions of curve balls thrown at us, and ensured that both special wedding dates (the ceremony and a year later the celebration!) were perfect. Endlessly kind, cheerful and supportive, they are the ideal partners for any bride and groom planning their special day. But what impressed me the most was how hard they worked - it seemed like they almost never took a day off! Emails were answered practically real-time, phone calls took place as planned, and all of the "behind the scenes" work happened without any prompting from us. This team is the real deal: highly talented, wonderful to work with, incredibly hardworking and able to support any couple as they navigate the choices and joys and stresses that planning a memorable event requires. If I could give them 10 stars instead of 5, I would! I recommend them with the greatest level of confidence and satisfaction.

And that’s exactly what I got. Even though she had a background in non profit events, a wedding is a completely different ballgame. Smashlee and Katie held her hand every step of the way. I think they said something about skipping too. Girls. They’re all best friends now. They flew out to California together for meetings, arranged everything here, and really helped with the details. My wife loved the entire process. She had a little big of a rough year that year, but you would have never known. Then when they big day(s) came around she was the happiest I’ve ever seen her. Our friends and family still can’t stop talking about our wedding. And we have the pictures to prove it was the best day ever. If you want a planner, are on the fence about a planner, and/or want a stress free and happy wedding, talk to these girls. You won’t regret this investment and peace of mind.

d the team she has. We started working with Ashley in January, as a “do it myself” kind of person, I wasn’t a huge fan of getting a wedding planner. But the first time we talked to Ashley, she not only complemented the work we had already done, but she expanded and coordinated all of the things we weren’t even sure how to do. From January to April everything was perfectly working out, then full swing in the pandemic things got a bit crazy. Ashley never missed a step. Constantly reassuring and helping us plan throughout the events! My now wife made it very clear that she was worried the day wouldn’t be special, and that this pandemic would ruin everything. SSD went out of there way to get all the information from our vendors and make sure we could host an environment where our family would feel comfortable. So here comes the day of the wedding, everything planned out and ready to accept any issues that may arise. But the thing is with SSD, they handle all the issues and the day will feel like there are no issues. It’s crazy how everything seemed so perfect and seamless. The day of the wedding I could not thank Ashley enough. It was absolutely stunning and everything was so perfect. As a groom, all I can tell you is if you trust Ashley with your wedding plans. It will be perfect! If I could give her and the team 10 stars I would!

the only reason my wedding happened. I got married 10/24/2020 which was my original wedding day and you would never know that all the planning happened during a pandemic. The day was beautiful and perfect and my dream wedding. I give 100% of the credit to Ashely and the SSD team. As a bride I could not recommend Ashely and SSD more. Without the help of this team keeping my sis sane through wedding planning AND being a nurse in a pandemic this wedding would NOT have occurred. At one point a wedding guest left her phone on the shuttle and Ashlee personally went out of her way to make sure it was returned safely. SSD is there not just to please the bride and groom to make sure your wedding is the most amazing experience for everyone involved.

I always thought that I would do all of the wedding planning and prep on my own, and was initially unsure about hiring a planner. I laugh looking back at that now, because I can honestly say that working with Ashlee & her team was the best, warmest, most personal experience I could have dreamed of having, and that they are so much more than wedding planners- alongside of all the logistical and design magic they worked, they also became shoulders to cry on, zoom and phone call partners to laugh with, and friends through it all. They made this whole process a dream, and our postponed wedding reception was beyond beautiful and truly felt like "us." I can't recommend this dream team highly enough!

It is difficult to explain how critical Ashlee, Katie, and the rest of their team was to our ability to successfully pull off the wedding. Their help started months before the wedding with an initial planning meeting and continued through the day of. They coordinated all the vendors, helped us make a list of photographs we wanted, got us thinking about how we wanted the ceremony to go, coached us through times of panic, and even made sure that food from the reception was sent to our room because they knew we'd forget to eat at the reception. I cannot recommend them strongly enough. They brought sanity and calm to a crazy and chaotic process. Planning a wedding is a massive undertaking, with more moving parts than you realize, our attention was constantly being pulled in several directions at once. Having Ashlee and Katie on our team was like having a guide that was able to focus our attention where it needed to be at precisely the right time. I cannot imagine what it would have been like without them.

help. I “knew” of Ashlee and a little of what she did so we set up a consult with her. The future bride/groom weren’t sold on the fact we needed a wedding planner but went for the consult with me. We all clicked with Ashlee right away and she took over 2 hours answering questions and giving us insight as to how SSD could help. From that point on, she was the most important lifeline we had in the planning process and selecting vendors. We ended up hiring vendors she had worked with previously and that team worked out perfectly for the day of the wedding. Ashlee/her team are always upbeat, professional and awesome offering advice/answering questions to meet everyone’s requirements. It took so much stress off of me (mother of groom) the few weeks before the wedding confirming all appointments, making timelines for each vendor down to the minute and running the show from the rehearsal dinner until the very last dance. We could not have asked for anything more from SSD and the bride and groom were amazed at how everything came together and how beautiful every aspect of the wedding was. I highly recommend this team of ladies that are experts in event planning and making a person’s vision become a reality.

As soon as I got engaged my fiance and I decided that we needed help- I've never dreamt of my big day, and it was important to us that our family/friends were guests and not working at the wedding. Ashlee was HIGHLY recommended by 3 of the other vendors we had met with and we immediately understood why! Not only is she truly more excited than you about planning your wedding the MOMENT you meet her (no matter how excited you are), she becomes an immediate friend that you've known forever! Every step of the way Ashlee was there! She was there with help for every question I had from venue recommendations to the very last detail. She encouraged every decision I made on my own and assisted in as much or as little of a way I wanted on everything else. I honestly don't know how I would have met with any vendors without her! She asked questions at vendor meetings that I would have never thought of since this is the only wedding I've planned! Our venue dropped the ball quite a few times along the way, but knowing that Ashlee & Katie were there kept me sane. I was completely confident that even though our venue was disorganized and somewhat clueless that everything would be perfect in these ladies hands. I couldn't have been more right! I didn't have a care in the world the entire day of our wedding because these gals had everything so structured! They knew what was supposed to happen every step of the way and anything that didn't go that way was never my problem (nor did I even notice)! They handled my handicap bridesmaid like true professionals when our venue was less accessible than they advertised, they got all of our gifts to our suite without interrupting the reception at all, they even setup a special dance for me and my grandpa before the night got away from us since they had gotten close enough to me to know how important he is and what a special moment this would for me to treasure forever, and they saved the day with the only pictures I have of our reception being setup with our beautiful flowers. I truly cannot put everything these ladies did to plan and execute our wedding day in this review, I would a million times over hire these ladies for our wedding again- they made the day what it was! I had withdrawals from these ladies after spending so much time interacting them, but luckily they have become a permanent part of our lives! If you are considering a planner Ashlee and her team are the best! If you aren't - reconsider!

Since we were planning two weddings, a destination wedding in California and second reception back home in the Midwest, we knew we were going to need lots of help, and also knew we needed to like the helpers. We LOVE Ashlee and Katie. These girls went above and beyond every step of the way. They really form relationships with me, my family, and other vendors. After the first meeting with our California vendors you would have though everyone had worked together for years, and that really showed when it came time for the big days. Everyone who attended our destination wedding in California was in complete awe. One couple had gone to other destination weddings on the last year and said this was the best yet. The compliments didn’t stop there, people loved all of the little details that you typically don’t think of. These girls laugh with you, cry with you, and are dedicated to making sure every aspect of your day is perfect, and that’s exactly what they did.

It was my daughter's choice to hire a wedding planner but in all honesty I think I benefited more than she did from it. I get emotional even thinking about Ashlee and her team because over the course of the last year they have been with us every step of the way and now it is over. I am definitely going to have major withdrawals from not talking to Ashlee on a daily basis. When we met with Ashlee the first time she asked my daughter how much help she wanted planning the wedding and my daughter replied, "I just want to show up!". My daughter is an accountant and I am a computer programmer so we only see black and white, there is no color in our world because we are not creative people. We basically told Ashlee the colors of the wedding and she planned everything from there. The vendors that she gave us to choose from were top notch. She has worked with so many that she knows who is the best and lead us towards them. We had some drama before the wedding, during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Ashlee and her team were by our side the entire time helping us through it all. As the mother of the bride I did not have to do anything the day of the wedding but enjoy every last moment of it. The SSD team had a full scheduled by the minute of what was going on when and they just directed us through it. Guess what I had to do at rehearsal? NOTHING. Guess what I had to do at the wedding? NOTHING. Guess what I had to do at the reception? NOTHING. Everything was taken care of by SSD. I danced for 3 1/2 hours at the reception and Katie from SSD was bringing me water on the dance floor because I was sweating so bad. She continually checked on my well being even asking me if I had eaten. They made me feel like royalty. The whole process was so effortless because we had experts guiding us through it all. There were no bridezilla moments because there was no stress involved. So, if you are wavering on hiring a wedding planner let me tell you that you MUST do it. It will be the best decision you ever make regarding your wedding. If you are looking to hire the best, call SSD!

It was her excitement over our big day that got us even more pumped for our wedding, and also helped us through some of the stresses wedding planning inevitably brings. Ashlee was instrumental in helping us with choosing our vendors. We were a bit overwhelmed initially, as the list of options seems to be never-ending! Ashlee helped immensely by providing us a scaled down list of her recommendations based on her past experiences. This saved us a lot of time (and stress!), and we couldn’t be happier with all of the vendors we ended up choosing! Note, while Ashlee has suggestions and recommendations when asked, she was open to new ideas and was excited to work with new vendors. She always made us feel like it was our wedding and encouraged us to do what felt right for us. In addition to providing her extensive expertise, Ashlee also comes with a fabulous team of ladies who were amazing throughout the entire process and day-of coordination. We had so many compliments on our wedding and are very thankful to Ashlee and her team for making our day go off without a hitch!

D was nonetheless a great deal. It’s not clear how we would have managed without them. Some of the highlights were their day-of coordination, their confirmation/coordination of all vendors, and their work to create a timeline for all vendors. They also made separate timelines for parents and the wedding party. Ashlee, Katie, and Megan are each wonderful to work with and we highly recommend them.

She did all the running around the day of the wedding and returning rented items after the wedding They stayed until the last song and helped pack everything in my car.
