I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a fourth-floor, poolside room with a patio and firepit. But what has really made the experience special is the staff, who have been unfailingly kind, courteous and helpful. I would especially like to call ou...
t Ariana and Luis at Aji, and Lucas and Pasquale Federico at The Fountain. Absolutely a credit to the property. And although I didn’t get their names, the man and woman who were basically at the front desk the entire weekend were great as well. And while I’m at it, the people at the valet couldn’t have been better. Nice property, but even better people!

I recently stayed at the Signia by Hilton in downtown San Jose, and it made a great impression. The hotel feels modern and upscale from the moment you walk in, with a spacious lobby and a clean, well‑maintained atmosphere throughout the propert...
y. My room was comfortable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed—plenty of space, a great bed, and all the amenities you’d expect from a higher‑end Hilton brand.
The location is one of its biggest strengths. Being right in the heart of downtown San Jose makes it incredibly convenient for restaurants, events, and exploring the area. Whether you’re in town for business or a weekend getaway, it’s easy to get around.
Service was friendly and professional, and the on‑site dining options were solid, making it simple to grab a meal or drink without leaving the hotel. Overall, the Signia delivers a polished, comfortable stay in a prime location, and I’d happily return.

Great location obviously being in the middle of downtown. The lobby is beautiful but sadly the carpets are very worn and dated and need replacement. Hotel staff is fine but definitely don't go above and beyond and service was basically just tha...
t of any normal hotel. Rooms are huge and that is one of the selling points for the hotel. But sadly the furniture is worn and in bad shape. One of the desk lamps in my room was leaning to the side a bit, wobbled while turning it on and just the furniture like the desk and such were mis-matched. I did however love the big TV and the bed was super comfortable, also the room had a hot water maker as well as a coffee maker and small fridge which I very much appreciated. The carpet was in great shape in my room and the bathroom was great, though hot water stopped almost nightly around midnight and didn't seem to get warm again till 7am? This was pretty inexcusable as a lot of us have to do meetings or such till late hours. The rooms seriously need to be redone/refurnished with matching and proper furniture though, even a motel 6 has matching stuff that is thematical to the room design. The hot water system needs to be addressed before I would be willing to come back as well. All in all there is a lot of potential with this property, but sadly I felt letdown in terms of what I know Signia hotels are, this was a huge step down from the other Signia properties I have been to and does not embody the luxury that a Signia represents as a brand.

The hotel has been renovated which is good however service is non existent. They didn’t even service my room despite me being gone for 16 hours. The gym had no towels. The bathtub in my room did not drain. The soap dispensers were empty. When I...
explained to management they offered a poor resolution. On checkout there was confusion and the promise was not honored. I won’t be back as a result - I am diamond and stay in hotels 230+ nights a year. Avoid this one.

Service here feels closer to a 3-star hotel at best, and if the pool is a key reason for your stay, you may want to consider other options.
The pool was not heated during our visit. That might have been a one-off issue, but what was more frust...
rating was the lack of basic service. We waited about 45 minutes for pool towels (and other guests said they had been waiting even longer), yet no staff ever came to restock them.
To make matters worse, we found two rusty nails on the ground near the pool area, which is simply unacceptable from a safety standpoint.
My kids were especially excited about the pool, so they jumped into the cold water and then had no towels to dry off or keep warm afterward. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience for what should have been a simple amenity.
We checked out the same day. At least they didn’t argue against my request for a full refund. I could ask them for compensation but i cannot stand wasting more time there.
