Robyn and the team at Silt could not have given us a more perfect wedding day. Every step of the process: from our first venue visit, to each meeting, to our rehearsal and wedding day, were well-thought out, and perfectly detailed for us. Robyn had experienced knowledge and suggestions, while also accommodating my vision for our big day. She made us feel welcomed and special from the moment we set foot on the property. She anticipated details and plans before we thought of them and kept track of everything meticulously. Silt was not only a gorgeous, dream venue, but the little extras that are included took our wedding to the next level of awesome. Everyone had compliments for what a beautiful venue we had chosen and what a stunning wedding we had. Our wedding day was so smooth and seamless thanks to Robyn’s trained eye, calm demeanor, and ability to navigate chaos. She went above and beyond all day long to make sure that my day as a bride was flawless and smooth. The entire Silt team made us feel like part of their family and we will always hold them in our hearts for being part of our love story.
This venue actually goes by Silt Wine Company now and has had a change of hands within the family. We decided to have a small, 30 person wedding with some DIY touches of our own. Our day was absolutely perfect! Everything turned out just as planned. Robyn is the best! She was so helpful in getting all the details organized- down to how we hold our hands for the cake cutting! The wine at Silt is amazing & the venue is unbelievable; we had an absolutely beautiful wedding!
I got married at Wilson Vineyards on 9/17/16 and it was a fairy tale wedding.
Looking for a venue. We live in LA and were on the road by 5 am on Saturday in August 2015. Once we got in Sacramento we looked about 6 venues. None were wineries because my fiance wanted hard alcohol at the wedding. Vineyards serve wine and beer only. There weren't any that we loved. We had an appointment the next day at Folsom, but later Saturday night decided to cancel the appointment and look at vineyards near Clarksburg. Wilson's was so accommodating last minute for us to look at the venue. We stepped onto the property and LOVED it. Deep down inside we both knew this was the venue, but still had 1 more winery to look at after. After our last venue on Sunday we drive straight back to LA. It was an exhausting weekend and drive back, but it was a very short conversation on which venue we wanted. As we drove home we emailed Wilson's and told them we wanted them to host our wedding.
The venue is breathtaking! The photos online DO NOT do it justice. Trust me - you have to see the venue for yourself.
During the process Wilson's was also very prompt in responding to any questions that we had. We also had a wedding planner on top of Sandra and Robin (who by the way are amazing). Sandra is OCD in a good way - she wants to make sure that everything is perfect for you and runs smoothly. You want someone like Sandra on your side the day of the wedding because you don't want to have to worry about anything.
We did have a hiccup - my grandpa was late due to getting lost. I was crying because I couldn't imagine getting married without him. My fiance said we are not starting the wedding without him. Sandra was the one that noticed he was missing and helped track some folks down who tried to call him. However, we couldn't get ahold of my Grandpa and I told Sandra that we couldn't wait any longer since we didn't know where he was. Luckily he showed up right after I walked up the aisle.
We had the Almond Sparking Package which included a horse and buggy. I arrived by horse and buggy for my grand entrance with both of my father's. It was a wonderful surprise to the guests for me to arrive in style.
We used the whole property for the wedding. Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Dancing Outside. Dinner/Speeches Inside the Barn. The guests were beyond amazed at how beautiful the ceremony was and said it looked like something you would find in a fairytale.
Picking a venue was tiring since we did it all in one weekend, but it was the easiest decision we made in the wedding planning process and we couldn't be happier.
Any questions?
I booked my August wedding here about 8 months prior to the event. Sandra wilson, the event coordinator, was always avaliable when I needed to speak with her and go over wedding details. Day of, , you event was absolutely amazing and everything ran so smoothley. Her staff was wonderful and myself, my husband and all the guest loved the atmosphere. The breeze out there was amazing and made our summer wedding a perfect outdoor dream. The vineyards, barn, and greenery made my wedding a dream come true.
this beautiful garden was exactly what we were looking for, and looked great in our pictures. the site owner/manager is controlling and hard to work with unless you go with the all inclusive option and let her plan the whole thing. Still, we were able to get most of what we wanted and our guests all had a great time.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at Wilson's Vineyards.
Unfortunately, I won't recommend this place to anyone. I felt nickel and dimed. On more than one occasion while speaking with Sandy, the on-site coordinator, she remarked "Oh well, you're ceremony only, so in that case...." Yes, we understood that we were not having our ceremony and reception there, but I felt like we were less valuable as customers because of it.
Additionally, and more importantly, in pre-contract talks she said we could arrive as early as we'd like, no charge to set up, take pictures etc. and that the 2-hour ceremony time in the contract was for the ceremony (from the start of the ceremony to the end of pictures, tear down time not included in the 2-hour period).
As the wedding got closer, we realized we wanted more pre-ceremony time for pictures, getting ready, etc. And we asked to come early (we had already agreed that the wedding party would arrive 1-hour before the ceremony) but she was very reluctant to do this.
Mind you, this wedding was on a FRIDAY! There was no other event scheduled that day! Us arriving early, would not mean additional work for her or her staff. And on top of that, she charged us for the extra hour ($125.00) and gave me the bill right before the ceremony! (Classy!). By the way, NO WHERE in the contract is there a statement about hourly fees, rates and when/if they may apply.
She also did not allow any negotiating. The ceremony package comes with a toast and since the majority of our family and friends do not drink alcohol (point in case, we only used about 6 bottles of wine out of 36 at the reception) we asked to have that removed, she refused.
My husband and I paid for our wedding ourselves and we wanted an outdoor venue with great foliage (so I wouldn't have to buy as many flowers) and we coupled it with a Chinese banquet (again to save money) so that's why we chose Wilson's and while Sandy knows her stuff and the venue is beautful, if you can find another place to do your wedding, I would look elsewhere.
Wilson Vineyards is absolutely gorgeous. We had so many comments from guests about how perfect the ceremony and reception were, birds singing, frogs croaking, great sunset over the vineyard, just beautiful. The barn was a really nice place to have dinner for our wedding in late October 2011, and it stayed pretty warm in there. Sandy is awesome to work with, so nice, organized, and extremely helpful, and her staff were great! Would recommend this place for sure!
The site was amazing and the perfect size for the wedding (approximately 115 guests). We married on the grassy null and had the reception in the bard. It was warm, but given it was August at 5 o'clock, that's a given.
The coordinate for the venue knows her business very well and gave helpful recommendations. I felt she was a little too controlling on the day-of but having my own planner helped ward her input off. Specifically, the package is "unlimited beer, wine, and champagne" but if you use the venue, you might want to settle on how exactly that is defined.
Sandy coordinated our fabulous July wedding. From our preliminary meetings, to rearranging the layout, to accommodating the hot weather, she provided wonderful service and made our wedding day truly beautiful and memorable. The vineyards venue is gorgeous, and highly recommended for an outdoor wedding!
Wilson Vineyards was the perfect location! I couldn't have asked for a better place to marry my best friend.
Location - along the river, vineyards, something different; It got warm in the barn area when it was time to eat.
