The land is well kept and when we visited the fist time it was sunset, her horses were out and there were several deer grazing. I knew in that moment "this was it!" You truly get a magical feeling from this venue. I am looking forward to working with Sandy to achieve our dream wedding this June.

I thoroughly followed the contract, sending emails of the vendors and followed up with Sandy to make sure she did in fact receive all of them. After reading some of the reviews, I would say I did panic a bit, but we had absolutely nothing but positive vibes from her. My experience is, you treat people how you want to be treated. It made the joy of decorating so much easier. We had many compliments from our guest on how gorgeous and unique Silver Creek Stable was. It was a beautiful day and we will remember it for years to come.

tons of beautiful fresh flowers surrounding the barn. The barn was absolutely gorgeous and guests raved about the venue the entire evening. Everything from the tables to the photo station were set up as we requested and sandy even lent a hand helping us set up and tear down at the end of the night! She was incredibly accommodating and it was truly the perfect venue. I have no regrets!!

She has also allowed my fiance and I to come to the barn more than once to take pictures and get a better feel for it because the first time we looked at it and then booked, it was in the winter (no flowers planted, no leaves on the trees, etc.) We wanted to come back in the fall since were getting married here next fall. It was great to see the place to get a better idea of how it will look. You can tell she has worked SO hard at fixing it up. I get everyone has their own first experience and I'll be honest, I was a little hesitant when meeting her due to the reviews I've read on here. I am so glad we took the chance and wanted our own first experience. All I have to say is, don't base it off of what you read. wanted to get married in a venue like this! The barn is absolutely stunning along with the many photo opportunities that this venue provides. The owner, Sandy, is so sweet and has a keen eye for detail. Her venue includes, in her price, 73 acres of beauty, horses, floral arrangements for your tables and the venue, linen table clothes, assistance in setup, mood lighting, a large bridal suite with a separate entrance, large parking area and an unbeatable price of $5300. We are also able to rent the Friday before for our wedding rehearsal at a minimal fee of $350. This venue is hard to top and we are excited to have booked with Silver Creek!

People don't like her because she might not wear a full face of makeup or wear heels when she's meeting with you but you have to remember she is a full time FARMER! Her venue is the definition of country and if you are looking for someone to show up all glammed up to meet you, then you aren't looking for a barn wedding!

All of this and No extra charge. I know from working with Sandy that she truly wants everyone to enjoy the property and have a great time. I understand that when someone spends so much time to write a bad review they are on a mission to destroy business most likely other venues.So I am telling you first hand I had the most beautiful wedding ever with so much included and more than any other venue had to offer. read these comments and know you will be treated in the same manner at some point during your interactions with her, if you choose to have your wedding at this venue. The beauty of this venue falls short of the emotional toll inflicted by the owner. Do not book this venue, no matter how nice she may seem at the time of your first visit. She will promise accommodations beyond the contract and she will say that she and her staff are flexible, but once she has your money she will recant all promises and drudge up absurd stipulations while refusing to do anything not listed in the very amateur contract she provides. If you try to hold her to her word, she may even get hostile and threatening as she did numerous times with my wife, my mother-in-law, and multiple members of my wedding party. Our Story: While the venue was not-yet constructed, the owner (Sandy) was one of the nicest and accommodating women we had ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She even promised to be more accommodating and take care of things not mentioned in the contract. 6 weeks before our wedding day, everything changed. We contacted Sandy a total of 6 times over the course of 3 weeks to confirm her availability the day before our wedding with no response until 17 days before our wedding. When Sandy responded, she spent an entire hour verbally attacking my wife over the phone. She told us that she had never promised us anything outside the contract. And although she had not contacted us nor had she attempted to return our emails/calls during the 3.5 week period prior to the phone call, she berated my wife for not submitting various items of paperwork and the $500 security deposit (she increased the security deposit amount, contrary to the $250 deposit listed in the contract). She vehemently bombarded my wife with insults, including very degrading, offensive language and threats. During this phone call my wife was maligned to the point of tears; at which point Sandy scoffed and said, "oh please, learn how to grow up. Crying won't get you anywhere in life." These words are quoted verbatim, because we were so assaulted that we will never forget the sound of Sandy saying them as long as we can even remember our own wedding day. We submitted everything 14 days before our wedding. Again, without a response from Sandy, we assumed all of her requirements were met by us. Until 5 days before wedding, when we emailed the itinerary detailing the events occurring on the day before and the day of our wedding. Directly following our email, Sandy called both the caterer and the DJs for the first time in 9 months since we signed the contract. She contacted them directly and aggressively, lacking all professionalism. We met with Sandy once more and she told my wife that she was a horrible bride, that our marriage wouldnt last, and even said "you won't make a beautiful bride." Even through the wedding day, Sandy took every opportunity to make snide comments to anyone that was a part of my wedding. We all tried to be as nice and mannered as possible, but every interaction with Sandy was unpleasant. Lastly: doing no damage to the building, Sandy withheld our $500 security deposit and continues to threaten to sue us.

Not only did the owner give the bride a substantial discount to help with her wedding, she washed 200 dishes and 400 pieces of silverware so we could all stay in attendance of our party. The women in my family have no class in including the bride who was rude to us all. I spoke with the owner to apologize for their behavior and she simply said "some are ungrateful and cannot see what others do for them." I would fully rate this venue with 5 stars and recommend it to all. The venue has so much to offer, and staff is courtesy even when the women in my family were much less than that.

My husband and I dismissed the few bad reviews on her page because we thought those people were overreacting, but it turned out to be our biggest regret to-date. I was extremely hurt by all of the nasty names she called me, the comments she made, and the threats she gave. Sandy completely changed her demeanor, more than I could have imagined from someone who seemed so nice. I went through so much stress and anxiety just to have a wedding at Silver Creek Stables and I will recommend against it to all of my friends and family for as long as Sandy is in charge. February, 2017: "Sandy is just amazing. She has been wonderful to work with! The barn is beautiful and I cannot wait to have my wedding here in May. Sandy has put her whole heart and soul into this venue. She makes you feel like family from the moment you meet her. This venue is worth the drive because its absolutely incredible."

are looking for. The chandeliers are covered in crystals just like we wanted. And the smell of the new wood smells so good! My fiancé loves the the loft and grand staircase is stunning. I love the large dressing rooms! If your Looking for an all wood elegant barn, you must see this one. The setting is beautiful.

nfortunately after waiting 40 minutes for the owner, calling, asking a worker to call her, and knocking on her home door to no avail we left. She called shortly after we left and we were too disappointed to even answer. She left us a voicemail explaining that she got behind on an errand but this only came after we left. She did not think to call us to let us know she was running late or even answer when we called. All I can conclude is that she must have forgotten the appointment. Further she did not apologize for her actions. She stated she was "sorry we missed each other," as if it was somehow partially our fault. Very disappointed. Would suggest hiring someone to handle customer service that is more organized.

ne and Silver Creek Stables new venue has everything I wanted for my daughters wedding. Also I want to add that the owner Sandy was very nice and accommodating to all of our special requests. The land is gorgeous and I can already picture my daughters beautiful outdoor wedding here this Fall.

y and the area was beautiful. We spoke to the builders, and we met Sandy on the grounds working and she was cool with us dropping in. She showed us around the barn, she told us her ideas and whats to happen in the next few weeks. What we like is that it has this beautiful open space with the horses and the wood fences. The grounds were all groomed and well kept. My opinion is that, the mean reviews are written by another venue. Because the lady I met with was really nice and it appears someone just wants to slam this nice ladies new business.

ther, arrived to our scheduled showing 10 minutes early to be greeted by the owner of the venue. She immediately drove down to meet me, only to explain she didn't have us on her schedule. She was extremely rude and instantly blamed the miscommunication on my fiance and I. My fiance and I are originally from the area, but currently live out of state and were home for the Christmas holiday. We were very excited to be looking for a venue in the Dayton area. I had called her 1 week prior to set up our meeting and we had agreed to a time the following Tuesday morning. Once we arrived she blamed me for not following up on the call with her with an email to confirm the appointment, which we were completely unaware that an email was part of her protocol for setting up an appointment. She also proceeded to insult my fiance saying that "young brides to be can not be trusted to keep a schedule." She took zero accountability for the miscommunication and continued to be rude and unprofessional. Once this confusion was somewhat situated she said, "Well I guess I can still show you around a little bit, but all the pictures of the venue are online and you should just look there if you are interested." If that was the case, she should have stated that in the initial phone call. My fiance and I exchanged a confused look and she then just blurted out, "FINE WE ARE JUST GOING TO CANCEL THIS MEETING, YOU TWO CLEARLY ARE NOT HAPPY!" During the visit we were both taken aback by how she acted towards us, especially since this was only our third venue we had looked at and were very new to the whole situation. The entire time we were there the owner insulted us, was unprofessional, and extremely rude.
