Mayra and her assistant were so great to work with. Very positive and professional. I hired them for myself (bride), 7 bridesmaids and my mom's hair and make up. They arrived on time, had us all done and ready to go on time as well without it looking like a rushed job. The makeup was cry proof and stayed on and my hair stayed put together until the very end of the night.

I had make up/hair done for myself, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom. We did airbrush make up. It was wonderful. They are so professional and made us feel beautiful and like queens. They are very easy to work with and great communicators. Mayra did my trial make up and she did a fabulous job. The artist who replicated what she did on our big day and nailed it! I can't recommend them enough.

Our wedding goals were drama-free and stress-free. Working with Mayra at Simple Beauty Artistry was a joy because she listened to what I wanted and presented options. She gave us peace of mind due to both her demeanor and experience and helped that *both* the hair and makeup for the wedding party were beautiful and consistent at the wedding, and reception! My bride had initially looked at another hair and makeup provider, but they weren't as experienced. Not only did 2 people take twice as long as Mayra did during the initial test, but the way they applied her lashes really irritated her eyes and she said she didn't want them. Mayra convinced her that the other folks didn't apply them properly and did it herself. She was right, they didn't irritate her eyes and really made them pop in our pictures. Mayra and Rocky really made the wedding day fun! She was easy to work with and despite having a few picky people in the wedding party, and they made everyone look and feel beautiful. Mayra also stayed late and did a great job of refreshing my bride's look for the reception after the wedding. Overall, Mayra made our wedding even more special, fresh and fun. We loved her! Mayra is HIGHLY recommended if you want to look beautiful, enjoy your wedding and have peace of mind!

Mayra was absolutley phenomenal on my wedding day! With the help of her team she was able to get me and my party of 10 ready with makeup and hair for 2pm pictures. On top of that she was extremely polite and funny and helped me relax on my wedding day. I looked at a ton of glam teams before choosing Simple Beauty but I am so glad I decided to go with them!

Mayra and her team are amazing! Mayra is very clear with what she thinks will look best based on your ideas and thoughts you share. They are open to your inspirations pictures and talking through your vision. They work fast and are very thorough and give each person their undivided attention - and waste no time! Simple Beauty was also the most reasonably priced make-up and hair team I found when I searched. . . just hire them you won't be disappointed . . .look no further!

My makeup and hair day of was beautiful. The only downside was working with the owner, Mayra. I drove over an hour to her studio and paid for a trial makeup run, she didn’t seem to take any notes about my makeup. I was then told that she would not be doing my makeup day of and had no idea who would be. My trial makeup was too pale and cakey. Day of the wedding, the makeup artist assigned to us was very helpful. When 1 error with the contract came up (we had an extra hairstyle scheduled and 1 makeup short) Mayra could not be reached. I was later charged for an additional makeup after the wedding. When I reached out to Mayra to explain that we had already paid for a hairstyle that was not needed, which should have offset the additional makeup needed, she refused to cooperate with us. The overall service was fun, but double check anything before booking since she in not lenient to forgive mistakes.

Loved Mayra and her team! Easy to communicate with and knew exactly what I wanted. Used them for bridal portraits and my wedding! I don't wear much makeup so I asked for a more natural look and she did amazing! You could still see my freckles and the airbrush felt very light on my face, plus it didn't mess up when I cried multiple times throughout the night

I was serviced by Simple Beauty last month, October 2022. I booked bridal/bridal party hair and makeup. The work done by the artists was great and they were lovely ladies to work with, very quick and efficient. However, I would advise for anyone booking to double check with the owner on contract details before the day of. When reaching out for a quote, I sent specific details on location/available time for services. I let the owner know that start time would be at 9:30am and that we would like to wrap up by 12:30. I knew it was a tight timeline so it would be completely understandable if I was told from the start that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate, but based on the responses I received through email, no concern was addressed. However, when I received the contract it said start time 8am so I texted the owner letting her know that the start time was not what we agreed on. It was until then that she raised concern for time constraints and let me know that they could go through with services but it would be at my risk if they didn’t finish. I made timeline arrangements and we then agreed on 9:30-1:30pm. A few days before my wedding I get a call from my coordinator letting me know that she got in contact with Simple Beauty to confirm time, and that they let her know that services would start at 8am!! I was very much confused given that I thought we sorted everything out. I called Mayra the owner and she reacted as if she knew nothing about what we agreed on. She went on to tell me that she was no longer going to be attending the services because she was booked elsewhere, which tbh I knew I was getting 2 artists but I didn’t know that initially she was one of them so her inserting that piece of information just made the situation that much more unpleasant. Again, she reiterated that I was taking a risk even though I worked out the 4 hour minimum with her. She seemed annoyed and the entire time I’m thinking like, girl I know this already we worked it out through TEXT. She clearly over looked our agreements and failed to make appropriate adjustments. Based on the conversation I had with the artists, she made it seem like I was the one who changed the start time last minute. I get that things happen and that’s ok, but the way she handled the situation was unprofessional. If it wasn’t for my coordinator, who actually did her job on being on top of things this would have been a much worse experience. Like I mentioned, the artists I got were wonderful and no complaints on their services; and reviews from others are overall great so that’s why I booked with simple beauty. Unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best.

Mayra and her team are fabulous! Everyone who had their hair and makeup done looked flawless throughout the night. Mayra is cool and confident and made me feel ready to tackle the day! We got done with plenty of time and did not feel rushed. After being a bridesmaid in many weddings, I thought for sure with the number I had we would have to start at 8am and be going until the last minute. Not true! I could not have asked for a better glam squad :)

Was satisfied but not thrilled with Simple Beauty Artistry. We told them we needed services finished by 2pm, so they had us start at 7am. We were finished by 10:45am. I understand I'd rather be done early than late, but it would have been nice to get to sleep in a little bit instead of having all this dead time to fill from 10:45am-2pm. Hair and makeup for everyone was pretty, but I don't think anyone felt their 100% best. I was satisfied, but not over the moon about my hair and makeup. I tried to ask for a few different things to make it better but just didn't seem like they got what I was asking for. The artists also left a big mess when they packed up and left - makeup and lashes and debris all over the counter where they were set up. Would also like to note it wasn't Mayra who came out, just people from her team. Was always emailing other people too, don't think I ever actually spoke with Mayra.

Mayra was amazing! I told her exactly what I needed and she got me in and out with plenty of time to spare. I showed her my pic of what of what I needed and she perfected it! She was super fun to chat with the entire time and I would highly recommend her to anyone! It sounds like her team is just amazing as she is and if I ever need makeup/hair services again close to home I will definitely be calling her back! **note: I did not book Mayra for my we dding day because my wedding was out of town but I did use her to recreate my wedding day look for family pictures here at home nearly a month afterwards and she nailed my wedding day look perfectly!

I am so happy I reached out to Mayra and her team to do hair and make up for my wedding recently! I had been in a wedding back in 2016 for a friend of mine and I loved Mayra’s work so much I had to have her for my wedding! She is an absolute gem! I loved how she is honest with what will work and what looks good on you! She also was so flexible with meeting me when I was indecisive with my hair for another hair trial. Mayra is amazing. Anytime I would send her a message, she would respond the same day, if not within a few hours. She is very upfront about her costs and expectations, was easy to work with to schedule trials and make sure all my ladies were looking their best the day of. The day of, we worked with Mayra, Betty, and Laura, and they were so sweet and kind. We got ready in their studio, and they let us have a more traditional getting ready experience with food, drinks, and great music, all the while looking glamorous. They book up fast, and always have a busy schedule, but they made me and my group feel like priority and answered all our questions and concerns about having our makeup last 15+ hours. And we were still flawless by the end of the night.

Mayra and her team are amazing! I had Mayra and Laura do hair and airbrushed makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids, MOB, and MOG on 2/21/21. They did not disappoint at all; they showed up on time and they were ready to have a good time as we got ready. Mayra is team bride all the way and she has your back 100% Not only does she and her team make you look beautiful but they make sure you feel it too. These ladies are both sweet and fun to work with. Mayra and her team did a wonderful job! They were ready to go as soon as we got to the venue and they made it fun. I had to do a few minor touch ups by the time the big moment happened and they were more than willing to make it happen.

So many amazing things to say about Simple Beauty Artistry and Mayra and her team! I used Mayra for hair and makeup for my engagements, bridals, and of course the wedding day. Every time I was amazed at how she could us her tools to make me feel my most beautiful. I am not the type to do a lot with my own hair and makeup on a normal basis, so when I gave Mayra full reign to do what she thought was best I was not disappointed. She really knows how to highlight different peoples best attributes and make everyone feel amazing. Even on the wedding day when I had 2 ladies from her team step in for hair and makeup, they did an amazing job. All of my bridal party felt beautiful. Not to mention she is very responsive and easy to work with. You will not be disappointed with their services!

Mayra and her team were perfect. I had my trail with Mayra, who was communicative and understanding after having to reschedule multiple times due to covid. My hair and make up looked exactly like the photos I shared. I booked hair and make up for my bridal party, all who have different hair and skin needs. They were accommodating and everyone looked stunning! They were also really quick while getting everyone ready and this didn’t impact the quality at all. Very professional and fun, too!

I got married in the first weekend in March, and Simple Beauty Artistry did a great job. Mayra was flexible and accommodated me for a last-minute trial after another trial hadn’t worked out, and she was great. Day of, Mayra was sick and sent Carla in her place, and she also did an amazing job. Both women were a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job replicating hair styles and makeup looks from example pictures. Side note: my mom decided she was too tired to take out her bobby pins at the end of the night, and her updo still looked perfect the next day after sleeping on it.

Mayra and her team worked my Wedding Day and did 9 Bridesmaids, 1 Mom, and 1 Brides’ hair AND make up within 3-4 hours without compromising quality, it was incredible!!! Because I wanted everyone to have the same hair and make-up, they did an incredible job being cohesive while accentuating each of the girls’ true beauty. Mayra herself was my artist, and she was so precise and particular and and made sure that I was comfortable and happy with everything they did and asked my opinion before she finished up. She was very attentive and listened to all my wants, and also made suggestions to what works and looks best. Mayra made sure I was happy every step of the way, and that everything was as how I wanted and imagined it! Everyone looked insanely gorgeous that day! I also added a hair and trial run, which helped soooo much because I am a very indecisive person (so if that’s you, consider getting one). She is an incredible owner, and she is always learning and keeps up with all the trends and new products. She has tons of experience and knowledge with any hair type and skin type. She has the best quality products everrrr, and not to mention everything was super clean! We all did airbrushed makeup and lashes and our face did not budge after all the crying and sweating, it made it all the way after the After-Party!

I can honestly say my wedding experience wouldn’t have been the same without Simple Beauty Artistry. Mayra is unbelievable at her craft and made me feel absolutely stunning. Mayra was amazing!!! Simple Beauty did hair and make up for the bride, bridesmaids, house party, and mothers of the bride and groom. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous, and the styles lasted the entire evening (impressive, our dance floor was busy!). I would absolutely recommend Mayra and her team to any of my friends and family.

Mayra and her team are amazing at what they do! During my trial, she was able to take my list of ideas and simplify them into a cohesive and beautiful look that was exactly what I envisioned, and it was replicated perfectly for my wedding day. Simple Beauty was very professional and very punctual. Mayra and her team gave my daughter exactly the look she wanted. She looked and FELT absolutely beautiful! Mayra was on time and her schedule with 8 of us plus a flower girl was perfect. She does not Iike to waste time, so be sure you have a good idea of what you want before you get to her. We were very pleased and would use her and her team again when needed.

Mayra did my makeup for my engagement pictures and hair/makeup for me, six bridesmaids and two moms. She was absolutely amazing and she is so talented. I am super picky about makeup and she listened to every little thing I wanted and I never stressed about how I was going to look.

Our wedding was actually outsourced to a couple of different artists who work with Mayra, but the standards remained the same. Anita and Mariana were both very easy to work with and even gave advice to my bridesmaids for everyday looks when they asked for it. Mariana, who did our hair, was very quick but made everyone look good, and Anita was awesome, too, and very understanding when we ran a little late because I forgot my contacts (yikes!) and had to wait for my brother to bring them. For the quality of work, Simple Beauty Artistry is very affordable--definitely recommend!

Amazing work, very patient and friendly! They are very flexible and allowed me to make changes two days before the wedding. Makeup and hair looked amazing and lasted all night!

My wedding was in June 2019, in the scorching Texas heat. Mayra did my hair and make up, as i expressed my concerns with my hair falling and my make up running down my face, its hot and I have no shame that I glisten, she assured me that all would be ok, After 7 hours of photos, wedding fun and drinks, my hair was still perfectly in tack and curled down my shoulder and my make up looked just as it did hours before! I was highly impressed and please with the service. not to mention she was the sweetest to work with! Very professional and nice. I loved working with Mayra! The thought of finding a hair and makeup artist was overwhelming until I found her through my coordinator. Mayra is the BEST!!! I work on Fashion Week, with tons of celebrities and magazines. We had a photo shoot that included a bridal party and I only had to give her direction once and she nailed it. Every person looked radiant. We worship Mayra for making us have a smooth shoot. We plan on using her for all of our business in Houston. If you need the best hair & makeup you shld definitely use her.

Whatever you do DO NOT use simply beauty artistry at your vendor. The owner has no regard for the contract you set and will not honor it! I recently got married on 3/5/17 and she showed up two and a half hours late because she "didn't have anything scheduled". She took all off money but failed to have anything scheduled. Please please please seek other people for your hair and makeup because the owner is extremely unreliable and will not hold up to her end of the contract! if you would like a stress free getting ready time before your wedding please stay away from her!!!!

Mayra is amazing I LOVE her work and she is always there for me on any special occasion! Her prices are very good especially her packages she always makes sure I look and feel amazing!

I have had such a difficult time reaching Mayra! We were emailing back and forth and she just stopped responding, called her no answer. I had my maid of honor Facebook message her for me and she didn't respond to her either. The prices aren't bad and my venue is located in the same area, but I will go with someone else that is responsive. I am not sure how deposits work for most vendors but I personally feel a 50% direct deposit for everyone is a little much. Especially since my bridesmaids are paying for their own hair and make up .
