Kaci Willwerth
Owner/Lead Planner
Kaci has been planning and executing weddings and events since 2006. She has a passion for being detailed and organized, so that the host(s) of the wedding/event can enjoy the moment in real time. She believes that every event is unique, purposeful and should be a reflection of her client's personalities. Kaci also served as the Lancaster Fete Committe Chair for the non-profit organization, Fete en Blanc Lancaster, that holds an annual pop-up party in Lancaster, PA for 3,000 people. When she's not working or giving back to the community, she's soaking up life with her family and friends.
Amy Lukens
Lead Planner
Amy has been planning weddings/events since 2011 and she has a passion for pulling all the pieces together to make the event unforgettable. Amy's attention to detail and creativity has afforded her the skill to work closely with our clients and bring their vision to life. When she isn't working with Simple Soiree, she is working at Penn State Health, taking random road trips and eating all the amazing food Lancaster has to offer.
Brei Hummer-Bair
Lead Planner
Brei brings a lively and focused energy to everything she does and is always eager to lend a hand wherever it's needed. When she's not collaborating with the Simple Soirée team, she loves volunteering with a local dog rescue, spending time outdoors with her husband and their dogs, and tackling DIY projects around the house.
Courtney Barry
Lead Planner
Courtney’s skill set thrives when it comes to event planning. She has a degree in parks and recreation and has been creating, organizing and executing events for over 30 years. Her goal is to support our events so they run smoothly and create lasting memories. Courtney also works as a car seat educator. In her spare time she enjoys photographing nature and family time.
Marissa Demeo
Lead Planner
Marissa has developed a love for events since college and enjoys bringing someone’s vision to life for all occasions. Marissa also works as the Marketing Coordinator for a HVAC company and volunteers at another seasonal job. Outside of work, she enjoys running, going to the gym, cooking, and hanging out with her orange cat, Margo.

Pam is gifted in the area of organizing and keeping things running smoothly. She has spent years in the classroom and continues to offer her skills with private teaching and volunteering for local organizations. For the last six years, Cherish has been growing her family and raising two beautiful little girls. She has found her passion for the wedding industry by assisting couples on their special day and decorating a venue from start to finish. As a former teacher, Gretchen loves organizing and decorating spaces. Her passion of making things look beautiful has transferred into the wedding/event arena. Gretchen loves to make meaningful connections with the couples she serves. In her free time, you will find Gretchen watching her two teenage sons competing at their sporting events. She and her husband have travelled to many destinations with their family insurance business. She enjoys reading, exercising and hanging with friends.

Kaci kept me on track with everything I needed to do leading up to the wedding, helped with so much of the planning, and answered my millions of questions. Brei & Pam made our wedding day relaxing - yes, relaxing! We were able to relax and spend time getting ready with our friends and family and then celebrate and party without worrying about anything. We just had our big day in November and Kaci and her team were honestly fantastic. Whether you're considering them for day of coordinator role or as planners, they are diligent, dedicated, very personable, and overall great professionals. Having them part of our big day as the Day of Coordinator, Kaci and her team were great with helping tweak our timeline, assist with set up and breakdown, coordinate the vendors, and with anything in between on the day of the wedding. Communication was excellent on all fronts, really can't recommend them enough.

You NEED Amyl! I'm very type A I'll be honest, and she took my ideas and brought them to life perfectly! She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen-she was AMAZING! From planning to day of she was a god send. Especially day of because my husband and I are both anxious people especially with tons of people and she recognized that and made sure we got mini breaks- quiet moment, during pictures, it was actually her idea to eat dinner in the bridal suite and that is probably the only reason we weren't totally overwhelmed. Not to mention we got to actually eat! She was such a stress reliever especially in the final stretch and went above and beyond! Everything was amazing from start to finish and we couldn't of had such a perfect day without her! Even Our parents loved her (dad got photo with her lol!)

Simple Soirée was the best decision we made during wedding planning. I cannot recommend Kaci and her team enough! We were blessed to have Kaci with us during the planning process (as a day of coordinator) and on our wedding day with an assist from Gretchen. Kaci was an amazing asset during wedding planning. Even though we did her “day of” option, she truly felt like a full blown wedding planner. She was always willing to answer a phone call or text if I had a question, and she had amazing tools to help you plan all of your details leading up to your wedding day. The night before our wedding, my husband and I were talking about our excitement and we both agreed that we had 0 concerns going in to our wedding day because we had Kaci there. We had so much faith in her and her team that everything would go flawlessly. And we knew if something didn’t go the way it should, that Kaci would have it handled and we’d never know. The day of our wedding.. Kaci and Gretchen were amazing. They were so kind, helpful, and always one step ahead. They thought of things before they even happened and understood everything we wanted within our day. They were so supportive and made me feel like royalty, all while handling our set up and day of care. Simple Soiree was just incredible to work with! We selected Brei as our day of coordinator, and to be honest, I wish I would have used her to plan the entire wedding because she was so amazing! Brei was communicative throughout the entire process, easy to get ahold of, easy to talk to, and had fantastic ideas when we were debating about some things. The day of was absolutely magical, I felt so comfortable and Brei and her assistant took care of everything and if something didn't go to plan, I didn't know about it :). I can't express enough how amazing Kaci and her team were from the beginning. She was always accessible and responded quickly. She was organized, friendly, and very involved in every step. I can't express enough how valuable she was to the success of my wedding day and how grateful I am to have met her. It was by far the best investment and money well spent. I'd recommend her to ANY bride. She also got rave reviews from my wedding venue team. Absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend Kaci and her team enough. From timely communication constantly leading up to our wedding, to the dozens of details we hadn’t even thought of for the day of, she had everything prepared and organized. Her thoughtfulness and preparation allowed us to fully immerse in our wedding day and not have anyone ask us anything or bother us throughout the entire day. She met with us for about 2 hours a month or two before our wedding day to go over EVERYTHING and it couldn’t have been more helpful. I can’t imagine anyone being better at their job than she is.

Best money we spent!! Kaci and Courtney at Simple Soiree were amazing! From the beginning communication was easy, fast and answered all the questions that would pop into my head. Kaci helped me organize and made it so I didn't need to answer a single question on wedding day. These women helped me from getting my shoes on at reception to pinning me into my dress when I popped a button- they helped with set-up, clean up and creating a timeline for everyone. Would definitely recommend to other couples :)

Hiring Kaci was hands down the best decision for our wedding. Kaci was professional and displayed exceptional communication throughout our planning process. I immediately chose simple Sioree because of the software they had available. It was awesome, everything it one place, printable documents, tracking, floor plan, etc. my planner was Amy Lukens and I LOVED her. She was extremely available, SO nice, great at her job, and beyond professional. Anything I was confused about, Amy had a million recommendations and I loved all of them. She made our wedding SEAMLESS. We were ahead of schedule all day, she knew everything I wanted and was one step ahead of me which is hard because I’m extremely controlling. She’s amazing and I cannot recommend her enough.

Where do I even begin? 5 stars doesn’t even scratch the surface of how amazing Kaci and her team are. This team allowed my husband and I to be nothing but present on our wedding day. They’re amazing at their job, but they are also beyond amazing people that make you feel so special and important leading up to your day/ your big day. We worked with the planner, Amy. She was absolutely incredible from day one. We started working with her almost a year prior to our wedding last June (~275 people). Throughout the days leading up to the wedding, she was extremely communicative, kind, and made the process feel effortless. She gave us recommendations for nearly every vendor, making certain that they fit into our budget, which in the long run saved us a lot of money! She helped us choose vendors we never would have found without her. Amy was an absolute joy, I miss having our meetings with her because she became a friend. We truly got to know one another. I will never forget, that shortly after we got to the wedding venue, she pulled me aside. We had a few minutes of reminiscing of the planning process and of the time we had spent together leading up to this moment. We both shed a few tears and a hug and then let the wedding day begin. In that moment, I was even more confident that we had picked the perfect wedding planner. She was just as invested in us, as we were in her. She was more than just a wedding vendor, she was a friend and a wonderful person. Our wedding day had a few uncontrollable challenges, but I was never told of anything until after it was handled, which I greatly appreciated! For example, due to the heat, our cake collapsed from 2 tiers down to 1 tier. Amy handled it with ease and kept the day 100% stress free. She could not have done a better job and we are so grateful to have had her be a part of our special day. Thank you Amy!

I believe having Simple Soiree (specifically Brei) coordinate our wedding was the greatest decision we made throughout the whole planning process. Brei deserves all the praise in the world! This is her fun job and you would never know it wasn't her only job. She immediately made herself available to answer any questions and address any concerns I had throughout the process and the closer we got to the wedding the more she took off my plate. Meeting her in person it felt like we’ve known her for years. She’s so personable and fit seamlessly in with my family, everyone LOVED her, and I got so many comments about how amazing she was. For me her presence was so incredibly calm, and reassuring, that when she told me “it’s your time to relax, I got it”, I was honestly able to forget about it. Too all the brides that already have Brei for your big day, just know you are in the best hands, and for any brides looking for a coordinator you won’t regret going with Simple Soiree!

I am not even sure where to begin on how wonderful Kaci and the Simple Soiree team is. We had the pleasure of hiring Kaci to be our day-of-coordinator for our wedding. After talking to Kaci on the phone, I didn't even contact another company because I knew I needed her. Kaci went above and beyond to make our day perfect. She has the most calming personality, made sure the bridal party was happy and attended to, attended all our meetings with us, made sure we didn't know if there were any hiccups, and did it all with a smile. Our day was seamless and there is no doubt in my mind that is because of Kaci. I cannot recommend enough!! All my bridesmaids commented on how amazing she was. It truly felt like we had a friend with us (who also took care of business).

We worked with Amy as a "day-of coordinator" for our wedding at Excelsior and were so thrilled with her. It is clear that the Simple Soiree team are filled with pros. Amy was so organized and was there with absolutely everything we needed on the day. She always was quick to get our larger bridal parties in line when they were goofing off (literal & figurative line) and developed a quick rapport with all of our vendors. When I got pollen on my dress from my bouquet right before walking down the aisle, Amy was there miraculously cleaning it off and ensuring it was dry and perfect. If anything went wrong on our big day, we couldn't tell ya because Amy handled it all with grace and a smile behind the scenes. She exudes competence and "I got this" vibes. The best investment we made for our wedding. All we day to do was show up!

From the initial outreach call we knew we had made the best choice in hiring Simple Soiree! Once we hit the 6 week mark it was all systems go. Amy and Courtney met us at our chosen venue and had an entire gameplan already laid out for us. During the first meeting with the venue they came prepared with a number of questions and requirements for the venue and catering teams and we were super impressed with everything they had thought of to get clarification on. It was such a wonderful experience, we came away from the run through meeting feeling as though an enormous weight had been lifted from our shoulders. Every contingency was planned for and we just had such a great feeling of confidence. In the final week before the wedding, all of our vendors (DJ, video, florist, etc.) received their itinerary and schedule. Every single vendor had clarity on what their role, requirements and timings were. As we drew closer to the day Courtey kept in constant contact with us, which we really appreciated and helped keep our nerves and stress levels under control. On the morning of the wedding, Courtney was in communication with our bridal party letting them know what was happening and timings they needed to be aware of. The ceremony, reception dinner, first dance, etc. all went off without a hitch - if there were any hiccups on the day we certainly didn't know about it - we were able to completely focus on enjoying our day with our family and friends. We would recommend Simple Soireeto anyone who wants to make sure both their wedding planning and wedding day goes perfectly.

We were recommended to go with Kaci and Simple Soiree from the beginning and we could not be happier with that decision! Everything was super easy from our first meeting all the way through our wedding. My wife's and my wedding was the first one we've been to as a couple (8 years together), so we really didn't know everything to plan for and what to expect. Kaci was there for my wife at all times, helping coordinate and answer any questions we might have. Once it got down to the week of, Kaci made sure she had constant communication with us, texting us whenever needed, and was more than happy for us to text her with any updates, as well. She made sure everything was planned out (timeline, vendors, etc.), took notes for each call, and made sure everything was documented online, which was very helpful to reference whenever needed. Her advice on where to get ahead (like adding invitees' names into her system early) really took as much stress away from planning as possible. Considering we haven't been to a wedding in 10 plus years, Kaci's rehearsal was great and gave us, plus our wedding party, full confidence going into our big day. On our wedding day, Kaci and Courtney made sure everything was on time and according to plan. All we had to do was follow their lead. Both of them were calm, cool and collected the entire day. We cannot be more thankful for Kaci, Courtney and Simple Soiree for making our day truly perfect.

My husband and I got married on 11/25/23 at Excelsior in Lancaster PA and Simple Soiree was the perfect fit for our wedding day. Kaci was the heart and soul of the vendor team at our wedding day and we couldn't have been more thrilled with her and her team's work. As someone who has known Kaci through working with her professionally, it's no coincidence I hired her to be my own wedding planner. She is responsive, no matter how far out from your wedding you are. She cares if you're worried or anxious about something, and gets you answers, even if they aren't pressing for the time. Kaci really keeps the mental peace for brides and she remains calm, cool, and collected through the process. She is innovative with suggestions, takes care of logistics you didn't know existed, and does it all with the biggest smile and sweetest demeanor. She sat in on every meeting, took many of my phone calls, brainstormed solutions, and made the entire process incredible. We booked her for partial planning so that we were in contact more frequently and it was beyond anything we could've asked for. Kaci communicated with all our vendors for us, set everything up, knew exactly my vision for the day. My family members still are raving about her and how amazing she was. If anything at my wedding went wrong- I don't even know! She made it perfect. I look up to Kaci so much as a person and as a fellow vendor, and so having her do my wedding was such an honor. We are forever grateful for the friend and person she is, you can tell that she was born for this industry.

Our wedding day was 11/11/23 and it was perfect, no doubt thanks to Kaci! Kaci was my main point of contact throughout the planning, and Michaela was with her on the day of. I worked with Kaci for about a year and she took every thought, worry, and idea I had and turned it into an organized plan. Leading up to the wedding, Kaci was prepared at every meeting with action items/next steps and always had an agenda. On the day of the wedding, Kaci had everything ready. I gave her pictures of my vision and explained my ideas, and she made it happen down to every last detail. She thought of every last possible thing, down to the point of having cough drops for me because I had a sore throat the morning of the wedding. Being hands off is super difficult for my Type A personality, but I put my trust in Kaci and her team and I don’t regret it. Our wedding party and both sets of parents loved Kaci as well and appreciated her help. If you are planning a wedding, PLEASE hire Simple Soiree as they will be the best vendor you have.

Both sets of parents, our guests, and our vendors complimented us on the professionalism and hustle of our coordinators. When we first met, I told her that we wanted to enjoy the day with our family as much as possible and she made that happen. She answered all of my questions, was incredibly thorough, and I was able to let go of all of my day-of worries and just put my trust in Kaci. We hired Simple Soirée as a day of coordinator. Looking back I regret not doing a wedding coordinator to help with planning throughout the year. I also think it would’ve help with the planner knowing what I wanted because I tried to explain my ideas but they did not fully grasp it. I even added pictures of what I wanted my decorations to look like and they did not do it. During the end of the night a lot of our guest said the coordinating team was not very friendly.

We understand where it could be challenging for you to see all of the moving and behind the scenes pieces on your wedding day; as our main goal is for you to be fully present enjoying your special day. We recall you apologizing for your rowdy and intoxicated guests and thanking us for our work throughout the day. It was certainly an unusual wedding day and rarely do we have to deal with the types of situations that arose on your wedding day. It was actually our first wedding where the venue owner called security to come assist us until all of your guests left the property. We had multiple alcohol related situations throughout the entire evening that required a lot of our attention. For example: mopping the entire dance floor after your wedding party shot-gunned and poured beer all over the dance floor, helping care for an intoxicated groomsmen that passed out at 6:30pm and had to stop a guest multiple times from pouring their own drinks behind the bar. It was all very unfortunate and disheartening, but we did our absolute best to protect you from all of these moments and sincerely apologize if it was obvious at the end of the night how much of a toll this had on us. We discussed your feedback as a team and are truly sitting here scratching our heads. You were such a dream to work with and communicated so well throughout your planning process. We are truly not sure what you mean by “they did not do it.” You provided a tremendous amount of décor that took 5-6 people to load into the venue and the 2 of us did our absolute best to create your vision, even though we are not professional decorators. You had an opportunity to view everything before the ceremony and we sincerely wish you would have pointed out what you were not pleased with. It’s incredibly important to us that our couples are beyond happy with every aspect of their wedding day. Again, we are just so confused and trying to understand where the breakdown happened and we would appreciate it if you would elaborate on this so we can explore ways to grow.

I don’t even know where to start in sharing how phenomenal it was to work with Simple Soirée!! Amy was our main point of contact throughout the planning process and she had Gretchen with her on wedding day. They were both AMAZING. I can not say enough good things. We hired as “day of” coordination but got SO much more. Amy was with us at our 2 planning meetings with our venue, she had zoom meetings with us to make sure we were doing ok and to answer any questions, she wrangled all our vendors, coordinated our entire timeline, and was immediate in responding to texts/calls/emails, etc. Amy ran our entire rehearsal and commanded a wild wedding party with ease. The next morning, wedding day, she showed up ready to roll, with a hangover and emergency kit prepared for us and was eager to do anything and everything we could have ever needed or wanted and then some. She kept the entire day running smoothly, executed all of it exactly to my vision, and could not have made it all more perfect. Amy was truly the hero of our entire wedding and I have no idea how we would have done it without her. 100/10 for Simple Soirée and 1000/10 for Amy!!!!

I cannot recommend Simple Soiree enough!! Our planner was Kaci and she was absolutely wonderful. She helped us pick every single vendor for our wedding day. We received so many compliments on the DJ, caterers, etc from guests and it was all thanks to Kaci and her wonderful recommendations. Kaci was always available via email or phone, and always had an answer/solution to any issue. Kaci kept us so organized and on track throughout the entire planning process. On the actual wedding day, Kaci and Brei were wonderful! They set up all of our decor, centerpieces, welcome table.. everything! Not only did they set everything up, but at the end of the night they packed everything back up and loaded up our cars for us! If there were any issues that came up, we didn’t know about them because Kaci and her team handled it. Kaci checked in with me (the bride) throughout the day and made sure I was eating and hydrated. We had to make the decision to move our ceremony location due to wind/rain.. Kaci came up with the best solution and no one would have even known we had to change our plans. Kaci and Brei managed every single part of our day, all we had to do the day of our wedding was be present and enjoy every moment. Words cannot describe how grateful myself, my husband, and my family are for Kaci and her team! We hosted our wedding at my family’s farm never having thrown a party of this scale at our home, and never having hosted a wedding! While we had the grand ideas and were happy to help execute, it was so helpful and so much less stressful to have Kaci’s expertise and for her to take over communication with the vendors. She was always so calm, focused on what we wanted, honest, had the best advice and knew how to make what we wanted happen. We had the pleasure of working with Kaci, Brie & Gretchen on our wedding day. I booked simple soirée’s package to assist on the day of the wedding. I couldn’t imagine getting through my wedding day without them. My husband and I were so lucky to have found Kaci and her team! They all went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of. They were even going to send someone to pick up a coffee for my mom! (Of course my mom said no, but how nice and thoughtful!!!!) From the moment Kaci and her team showed up to the moment they packed up, they were helpful, attentive, creative and willing to make sure our day went smoothly. While we did photos they walked around with me carrying my water bottle, (it was June and super hot)& lipstick for touch ups! They even fluffed my dress twice as I was walking down the aisle and Brie bustled my dress for me since I was in a rush. All of the women I have spoken to and worked with at Simple Soiree have been very kind and quick to respond. Amy was the lead coordinator for our wedding and she was a fantastic help not only on wedding day, but for months beforehand. She was so easy to communicate with and is very knowledgeable, offering us guidance and tips to help us through the stresses of wedding planning. As for day of, as soon as Amy and Kaylee arrived wedding morning, you could feel the sense of calm they brought with them to the venue. I hired Simple Soiree to help plan a wedding for my cousin whose father recently passed away. I knew she deserved to have the best wedding day and wanted to make sure that she had all the help and support she would need to make it perfect. Kaci and her team were amazing! They did everything and MORE to make this day extra special, to make sure that the bride wasn't stressed, literally from the beginning of the process to the end. I chose the final details package, but what I received was so much more than that. Hiring Simple Soiree was the best decision- it was piece of mind, a friendly and kind support system for the bride and groom, an expert to guide them through their selections, and literal boots on the ground ALL DAY to make sure that everything was perfect. They stayed until the end and cleaned up everything they could so the couple and family didn't have to worry about it. The bride and groom both say it was the best day of their lives, and I can't imagine that it would have been as smooth and seamless without Kaci and her team supporting them every step of the way. I hired Simple Soiree to take care of day-of coordination so I could be stress free on my wedding day. I was very confident in hiring them because of my conversations with Kaci, the owner. The coordinator assigned to my wedding was not great. She is not part of Simple Soiree anymore, and since all my other experiences with the company were positive, I'm changing my review to 5 stars because I would - other than that one person - recommend Simple Soiree, the business. Below are my complaints about the specific coordinator. Hopefully they can help you make sure the coordinator you choose doesn't make the same mistakes. I was not impressed with their communication leading up to the wedding - I had to remind and chase down things that they were supposed to do (set up a walkthrough at the venue, send a timeline to the vendors) and ended up doing these things myself instead. On the actual rehearsal and wedding days, I felt like the coordinators did an okay job. I was slightly irritated that they kept running me down with questions that were answered in the notes I'd given them. My bridal party was very frustrated, had a lot of complaints about the coordinator standing around or not getting people to the places they needed to be.

Instantly I knew during the phone consultation that I wanted Kaci to be my Day Of Coordinator. Kaci was friendly and attentive to my thoughts, plans and dreams. Kaci and her team member, Courtney, nailed every aspect of our wedding from start to finish. Kaci came to our final walk through with the venue and recorded everything we needed to do, follow-up communications, etc. Our venue was an all outside vendor gig, and Kaci communicated and coordinated with each company so I didn’t have to. She walked us through each part of the day, fed us, and kept us on schedule. If weddings happened more than once, I would use Simple Soirée each time.

Where do I even begin!? Noah and I hired Kaci with Simple Soiree as our day-of wedding coordinator TWO years before our wedding date of 9.17.22 and I felt like we had a Full-Time wedding planner from day ONE. Kaci set me up with their planner system from the beginning, which made planning over the last two years a dream, and she always made me her priority anytime I had questions (even though our day was so far away). On our wedding day, Kaci and her assistant Michaela made ALL my visions come to life and every little detail I planned was executed perfectly! Overall, you know that you hired the right wedding planner when you have a huge sense of relief when you see them arrive in your bridal suite the morning of. My now husband had 14 groomsmen (I had 8 bridesmaids) and from the very start of the weekend, she organized and got ALL 14 men to listen to her. We cannot recommend Kaci with Simple Soiree enough!! My husband and I hired Simple Soiree after seeing their amazing work at my sisters wedding in 2021. I cannot thank Kaci and her team enough. Kaci was in constant communication with me and my vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She solved every problem that arose.
