The type who has difficulty initially trusting others to do a job at the level of organization, quality and detail I expect. I'll never forget my first phone call with Becky: After asking her a bunch of questions about her qualifications, I asked her: "What is the #1 thing that I CAN DO to make the process go smoothly?" Her reply? "Just trust and have confidence that we will take care of you." I thought this was a bold thing to say, because trust is earned. But I leaped and I trusted. And....I am here to tell you that Simplicitee earned my trust with flying colors every step of the way. I chose the "Day of" wedding coordination (which starts a month before your wedding) with the add-on DIY services. Becky directed and coordinated all the planning up until my wedding day. But then her wedding coordinator, Shelby, was the actual person who was present and executing on my wedding day (along with her assistant, Chelsea, who helped with the DIY stuff). With each phone call and in-person meeting that we had with Becky and Shelby, I grew more and more impressed with this team. They were so present, so on top of every detail, so wise, so helpful, so organized (Becky, especially, was always full of GREAT ideas that showed her keen experience in the space). I never ONCE questioned their reasoning or follow-up (and I am a strong personality!). In fact, they made everything even better and weren't afraid to gently push back on things and suggest alternative ways that always ended up being the BETTER way. Plus, they displayed great senses of humor balanced with the utmost professionalism with every interaction. I fell in love with them more and more. They were so much fun to work with! My biggest concern was whether they could properly execute my vision for all the DIY stuff. I gave them a detailed PowerPoint of all the decorations and inventory of things we would be providing, how we wanted it to look, etc. It was a lot to keep up with!!! But they KEPT UP WITH IT ALL. And when the penultimate day for them to earn my trust came—the wedding day—they executed everything FLAWLESSLY. I was absolutely blown away by how hard Shelby and Chelsea worked behind the scenes, attended to every detail and made my husband and I feel so safe and taken care of. Shelby was SO ON TOP OF EVERYTHING and she was so kind and professional the entire day. I especially loved how they did our Gallery Wall of photos!! I met Chelsea that day and she also couldn't be more gracious or attentive or capable. They hit all the DIY stuff out of the park! Flow was perfect. Timing was perfect. Everything was perfect. It was the best money we spent on our wedding. The ultimate compliment? We had an absolute blast on our wedding day without a care in the world. She will ask you and vendors about details that you didn't even know you needed to consider, and will save you from dealing with a headache down the line. She brings an enthusiasm and joy to the process that is contagious for her clients. I would highly recommend the full service, because she was really able to get to know us over time. On the wedding day, we had built up complete trust that she would make the right call and represent us without having to be involved. On the day of the wedding, there were multiple extreme events that occurred that could have ruined the night for the guests (including a key person having to run to the hospital and traffic that quadrupled the shuttle time from the venue). The best part? We didn't find out about either of them until days later! Her number one priority is making sure that you are enjoying your day, and she shoulders the burdens so that the bride and groom don't have to do so themselves. We had our dream wedding, from the rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks on the Chicago river, to the rooftop ceremony with the city skyline view, to an excellent party in an artsy warehouse in Pilsen with a live band, flipbook photobooth, and open bar. We wouldn't change one thing, and with the amount of compliments we have gotten from our guests, I would say that they agree. It's impressive to see someone with such talent and passion for what they do, and we are so lucky that we came across Simplicitee when we were searching! She is now scaling out her business, and we cannot wait to see what she does in the future. As the day got closer, Becky helped us navigate the pace of the day, and helped facilitate our somewhat unconventional ideas. On our wedding day, Becky was a friendly face who knew the ins and outs and helped keep us calm in moments of stress. Becky also blew me away with and how great she was with family members and friends. Becky is extremely prepared, for example she has a multilevel tackle box that she used to quickly sew and repair my wife's wedding dress multiple times. All in all, Becky was an excellent fit for us and an integral part of our wedding day. From the Bride's perspective: Despite my husband's initial hesitation ;), I knew we needed a day of coordinator to help facilitate our wedding day and take pressure off of us as a couple. When talking with coordinators, we looked for someone who was professional, kind and experienced—all of which Becky fit to a T. We built a custom package with Becky to meet monthly leading up to the wedding. Our calls were relaxed and fun, but important for us to stay on task and have a sounding board for our ideas. In the final month of planning, Becky took over communication with our vendor team which allowed us to focus on the finishing details. She was prompt and didn't let a single detail slip. On the big day, Becky was a familiar face to help us navigate the inevitable speed bumps of a large group event.
