Simplicity

My husband and I really didn’t want to plan our wedding, but we had a very excited parent who wanted, what seemed to us, an over the top type of wedding. We hired Amy for 12 months of planning, rehearsal, and day of coordination. We would have been an absolute mess without her! She help guide us through everything from picking vendors, to timeline, to “who should do what, and when,” what is customary to tip vendors, and most importantly, navigating enthusiastic parents. Our caterer said she was extremely helpful in set up of the tables and getting the details right! She also helped navigate a massive mess up by our linen rental, my under-ordering of a boutonnière, and my giant “oops” on forgetting my vail at home. She even saved us on floral costs by repurposing our arch flowers to our table flowers to make it a beautiful table for the millions (I have no idea if that’s even an exaggeration) of photos everyone took. We had about 120 people attend our wedding, and EVERYONE had a great time. Thank you so much, Amy!!! -The Donohoes

Booking a day of coordinator was an optional thing for me but oh my gosh am I so glad I found Amy. She was so easy to get in touch with before the wedding and beyond amazing on the day of. All my guests kept telling me how amazing she was and I couldn’t agree more. She’s so sweet and humble when she’s actually killing it. Not one thing went wrong and it’s all thanks to her!

Amy is the super-organized, detail-oriented person you wish you could be! I was comfortable planning my wedding on my own, but it was going to involve a lot of moving parts and I needed a coordinator to make everything happen on the big day. I was looking for someone who would embrace my vision and whom I could trust to make sure everything looked and felt the way I wanted so that I could be relaxed and surprised when I showed up to the ceremony, then reception. As soon as I met her, I could tell Amy fit the bill. She is fun and brings an irresistible enthusiasm to her work, but she also takes a lot of notes and asks the right questions. Although I was not looking for planning services, Amy gave me lots of ideas when I asked for them and was quick to suggest solutions to some of my planning quandaries. Then the pandemic happened and Amy was patient and respectful as my fiancé and I pondered how to proceed. Fortunately, she was totally on board to execute our new vision for an intimate ceremony and dinner. Her new duties including marking a trail in the woods, installing some chairs and an aisle runner in a meadow, handing out parking permits (and masks) and helping our photographer navigate to the ceremony. I’m sure she did more than that, but the beauty of her service is that I didn’t have to know about it. We managed to have a safe, Covid-compliant celebration right between the first and second waves of the pandemic that was somehow everything my husband and I wanted it to be. I wholly endorse Amy and Simplicity Planning.

Working with Amy has been such an amazing experience. She was able to easily give me options on what I wanted in terms of vendors in my price range. It was a stress-free process to get everything booked and ready for my big day! Planning a wedding is stressful, but knowing that I had Amy by my side made me feel like I could do it. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we decided to cancel our wedding and elope instead. Amy was supportive in our decision and helped in any way she could. She helped the day of the elopement, and was even our witness! We loved working with her because she ultimately wanted what was best for us. The absolute best wedding planning relationship I could ask for!
