My husband and I are so thrilled we found Kelli and her team. We got married in July 2018 and wanted to include some non-traditional elements like vinyl wall art, neon signs, and a disco-elevator, as well as things like seating vignettes and unique escort cards. We had millions of ideas and really needed someone to help us edit and execute. Kelly did a great job of connecting with our vision, and helping us to make it classy and stylish. We changed our minds and plans along the way at several points, and Kelly was flexible and patient with us, always willing to update our quote and help us meet our budget. Kelli's team helped us coordinate with other vendors, set up a mover when we needed one, and her amazing late night team pulled off the ultimate miracle in getting our space looking exactly as we hoped for our big day! I truly couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner. I started working with Kelli, the owner of Simply Beautiful Events, while I was still in law school in another city and SUPER busy. Kelli help me organize all of the hundreds of details - big and small - from the very beginning, which was exactly what I needed at the time given the limited amount of free time I had. Kelli also helped me select design elements and vendors, giving me the confidence that my wedding would be exactly as I envisioned. Now to move onto Nicole...Nicole became the lead planner for my wedding. I started working with Nicole about a month before my wedding date. I was really nervous that details would be "lost in translation", if you will, in the switch from working with Kelli to Nicole. However, I soon discovered Nicole was in control and on top of everything from the very start. I was instantly relieved. I hate to admit it, but I was a very demanding bride. Every time I emailed her with a question or concern she responded almost immediately. Furthermore, I was very particular about how I wanted every little detail handled - and there were a million little details. No matter what I asked her to do, no matter how exhausted she may have been, she handled my wedding planning and wedding day coordination with grace and style. My wedding was picture perfect - from the very start of the day to the very end of the day. Because of Nicole and her assistant Kim my husband and I were able to relax and really enjoy our wedding. I swear, after all Nicole did for me the day of the wedding and in the days leading up to it, I was ready to call her my best friend! She is sweet, intelligent, calm, confident, and understanding. I truly couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner experience.

Kelli did make our wedding beautiful BUT she messed up on so many things. I think she is in over her head, taking on too many events at once and not being able to give each event the attention deserved for the amount of money she charges. She decided to take on an event the night before our wedding and did not come to our rehearsal, and she did not fill in the woman that took her place that night, so it was a disaster (and pointless). Furthermore, she did not follow my instructions and made MANY mistakes, going WAY (over 10K) out of the budget, delivering gift boxes to the wrong hotels, not telling the string trio to play the correct music, telling me to buy toasting glasses but not arranging for champagne at the wedding, and not initiating a bouqet toss. These are just a few of the many mistakes (my list is too long for this review). She really does not care about price so I would only pick her if I had an endless amount of money to spend and had no personal preference (since Kelli can apparently only do things her way.) Also beware: She will charge you a ton of money for linen rentals from her own company (55 dollars per tablecloth?!). **She favors vendors over the bride and groom's preferences.** She is also REALLY BAD at returning phonecalls and emails and she DOESN'T DO WHAT SHE SAYS SHE'LL DO. On top of all of this, when I called her out on (some) things, she never apologized or tried to fix it, but instead said she didn't know, even though I remember specifically telling her MULTIPLE TIMES. I really regret choosing her and I hope that she is better to other brides, because I unfortunately did not have the best experience with her.
