I am so happy she expressed this deadline to me early in the planning process. We were able to enjoy the holidays with family and friends, stress-free. We even hosted Christmas for our out-of-town guests! The morning of the wedding, it was so nice to be hands off and let Nicola and her team turn our event space into the most elegant room I have EVER seen! I was able to stay relaxed and enjoy my time with my girls. Also, after a long day, having her team there to break down the venue and not having to put that on our family or bridal party was a huge bonus. Nicola truly took the reins on managing all aspects of our day, and I am so thankful for her. Her attention to detail left me in awe all throughout our wedding day and allowed me to really appreciate her eye for design. When catching up with family and friends who were at the wedding, and we begin talking about our wedding day, the thought-out details and coordination throughout the entire night are always complimented on. Further, she went out of her way to do several site visits with different vendors to coordinate load-in and load-out ahead of the event. On the week of the event our historic venue lost access to their elevators due to a county-wide ransomware attack. Nicola managed to keep vendors on track, organized an extended timeline with the building to ensure a smooth load-in and load-out given the last-minute change of process, prepared and executed a speedy room flip, and reorganized some of the guest travel paths to ensure everyone was able to transition between the upstairs and downstairs in our venue with minimal delay. Though I am certain there were many hiccups on the day Nicola made those transparent to us. Her team kept us on track, helped our guests, and handled surprises gracefully. Nicola did an exceptional job leading up to the event, but her singular professionalism and dedication to quality set her apart in the heart of the chaos which she managed to transform into excitement, sparkle, and radiance for our guests and for us.

Nicola assured us that she would be our main contact for anything that happened in-person while we were in New York, which we greatly appreciated. She helped us immensely during the 2 years of wedding planning - from scheduling virtual meetings that worked around our schedules, to finding vendors for us and setting up meetings with them, to attending in-person meetings for us when we couldn't fly back - she really did it all! We got married in early October and the day could not have run more smoothly. Nicola was on-site at our venue prior to other vendors arriving to make sure that everything was being set up properly. She also frequently checked in with me throughout the day and reassured me that everything would be amazing. Our wedding day was perfect and a big part of that was due to Nicola! We highly recommend hiring Nicola as your wedding planner. She is professional, personable, and easy to work with. During our first meeting, Nicola shared that she wanted us to have the freedom to be “guests at our own wedding”; now 1-month after the wedding, we reflect and say that she delivered that (and more)! We are a couple who both works full-time jobs in Los Angeles, CA (yes, three time zones away, too) but felt strongly about having a wedding in Detroit, MI. It is ‘home’ for part of our family and an exciting city that many of our guests from across the country had not ever had a chance to explore. Although the wedding and reception were important to us, we also felt a responsibility to showcase the best parts of Detroit, and Nicola helped us do that with her deep knowledge of the city, some of its most-talented vendors, and unique ways to incorporate it all together. As it happened, our wedding weekend occurred during the first ever NFL Draft in downtown Detroit and only two blocks away from our wedding venue, the Shinola Hotel. Although this introduced many “unknowns” to the planning process, we felt like there was nothing that we couldn’t navigate with Nicola’s planning and ensuring that our entire vendor team was on-track. The NFL Draft turned into a benefit for the wedding experience and our guests were able to enjoy the city and wedding weekend in a unique way. Throughout the wedding planning process, a couple will make many decisions of all kinds – big, small, mundane, and memorable. We thoroughly feel that working with Nicola was among the best decisions and investments that we made.

e would love to have day of assistance for the wedding. Once we met Nicola, we also began planning a beautiful fully-catered welcome party for our guests the evening before our big day. Nicola juggled last minute coordination and time line planning with full execution of our welcome party and took an incredible amount of stress of our plates. She always made herself available whenever we needed and together, we met with florists, caterers, etc. She has fantastic relationships with vendors and can make any vision a reality. Nicola was recommended by everyone we talked to and on several websites for vendors we looked at when we were first coming up with ideas for our wedding. She is very understanding of everyone's unique situation and knows how to capture your aesthetic beautifully. She has this way of making all your wants come true and is impeccable at finding alternatives if needed or desired. We had nontraditional ceremony seating, asking Nicola to replicate this from an image we had. Although, difficult to find, she came through, and it was one of the things our guests enjoyed the most! Our venue is a work of art itself and she knew how to accent it breathtakingly as well as being aware of the intricate planning details that go into an event in such a special location. The day went as planned and was as magical and enchanting as we could have hoped! When you want a very streamlined wedding planning experience, Nicola is the one! ver 7 years and knew the industry and vendors well. I also knew exactly how much work goes into planning a successful event and made the decision early to hire with a full-service wedding planner. We met with Nicola first and fell in love. We found ourselves comparing every other planner we met to her. We set our (original) date for July 2020 and Nicola worked diligently with us to find and secure all the right vendors. She was incredibly knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and thorough. She was also very calm. Any time we got overwhelmed (which was a lot), she put us at ease. She was exceedingly patient as she helped us make each and every decision. (I think I looked at over 100 different linen options and she held my hand through my crippling indecision over tablecloths. Haha!) Best of all, she truly listened to us. We never felt like she was pushing her opinions on us or trying to steer us towards her tastes. We felt really supported in our vision of what we wanted our wedding to be. As our original date fell in 2020, we had to cancel and reschedule twice due to the pandemic. Nicola helped us navigate those postponements flawlessly. She coordinated with every vendor and secured them for new dates. She helped us work through contract changes and price increases. Each time we had to take our wedding apart, she helped us put it right back together. One month out from our rescheduled wedding date, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. We were understandably terrified and reeling from the unexpected news. In shock and feeling terrible that we had postponed twice already, we at first tried to keep planning and move ahead with the wedding. During a meeting to finalize our menu, Nicola stayed after to talk to us and helped us make the decision to cancel. She really made us feel like everything would be okay and that we didn’t need to worry about anything but my health and treatment. It seems like the obvious choice looking back, but at the time, we felt a massive sense of relief. We left that meeting and my fiancé said, ‘Hiring her was the best decision we ever made. That one meeting was worth everything we paid her.’ From there, she handled all the communication with our vendors and managed every piece. We didn’t have to do a single thing. Throughout my surgery and recovery, she checked in regularly to see how we were doing. She was simply wonderful and I truly don’t know what we’d have done without her. When we were finally (and thankfully) in a place to reschedule, Nicola helped us re-plan every detail. She handled everything and quelled all my anxieties as we got closer to the day. Turns out, I didn’t need to worry. The wedding was absolutely flawless from start to finish. We waited a very long time for that day and it exceeded all our expectations. We literally owe it all to Nicola and her team. We’re forever grateful.

I truly believe we were able to weather the pandemic wedding planning whiplash because we had Nicola on our team. She frequently communicated wedding trends and suggestions, which were so helpful. Our intimate wedding of 30 was at the Whitney in Detroit and was planned in roughly 4 weeks. I couldn't be happier with Nicola and her services. She helped us set up our reception details and at the last minute picked up our wedding cake! We are so thankful for her help. Our day was calm and stress free because of her, which allowed us to focus on our celebration and starting our lives together. But she did provide us with an excellent timeline of where we should be during the planning process, as well as provided us with solid vendor recommendations. Was also more difficult because one of us was organizing the wedding from long distance, and we very much appreciated her help in supporting our local family in accomplishing all our goals. Our wedding turned out flawlessly and we owe part of her to her organization and mindfulness. On the day of the wedding, she did an excellent job in making sure things went smoothly and that everything progressed on time, and worked well with our families and our reception venue coordinator.
