Available Packages: Simply Implemented Package “Day-Of” Services with 2 coordinators/planners, up to 8 hours on site the Day of and planning to begin 1-3 months in advance of the wedding date. This package is for the couple who has completed their planning (or plans to do so) & is looking for help Day-Of to execute their vision. Simply Arranged Package Our “Partial Planning” Services with 2 coordinators/planners, up to 12 hours on site the Day of. With planning and some design guidance to begin 3-6 months in advance of the wedding date. This package is for the couple that needs help securing the last-minute vendors. You have the ceremony site, the reception venue, & the caterer booked now you need recommendations for the smaller vendors like the florist, photographer, videographer, or DJ/Entertainment services. You also know your vision and you have a few ideas on decorations, you’re just not sure how to execute the complete plan and you need a little guidance with the overall picture. Simply Designed Package Our “Design Planning” Services with 2 coordinators/planners, up to 12 hours on site the Day of. With some planning & complete design guidance to begin 3-6 months in advance of the wedding date. This package is for the couple that needs help with the complete look and design of their wedding. You have the ceremony site, the reception venue, the caterer, & DJ/Entertainment Services booked, now you need recommendations for the florist, photographer, videographer & guidance on how to take your Pinterest Board and make it into an actual wedding. You also know your vision, but you need & want some major help in how to pull it all together. Simply Detailed Package “Full-Planning” Services with 2 coordinators/planners, with up to 16 hours on site the day-of and planning to begin 6-12 months in advance of the wedding date. This package offers complete creative direction & styling coupled with management & planning for every aspect of your event. It starts with an in-depth design meeting & ends with a full day of coordination.

Co-Owner/Planner

Lyn was the Wedding Coordinator and Event Manager for seven years at Greene Gables Inn Bed & Breakfast, before it closed in 2021. She worked with catering, event production and management at the Inn. She loves the logistics with timelines and spreadsheets for each event.. It was actually Lyn's husband, Spencer, that suggested she and Marsha start a wedding planning business. She and Marsha have helped couples plan everything from the time they book their venue to the day after their walk down the aisle. Lyn has also been involved with event planning with different nonprofit organizations in downtown Springfield. She is the mom of four active boys, so getting to plan weddings is a needed break from sports and "boy stuff"! Lyn loves weddings. Who doesn't love, LOVE. She cannot wait to help couples plan for one of the biggest days of their lives!

I cannot recommend Simply Detailed Wedding & Event Planning highly enough! From start to finish, Lyn and Marsha handled every detail with exceptional care and professionalism. They coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors, managing everything from delivery times to setup schedules. I was able to completely relax on my wedding day, knowing they had every aspect under control. On the big day, they took care of decorating our reception space, ensuring all the vendors were in the right place at the right time, and kept the entire day on track. Lyn's attention to detail was phenomenal; she stayed for the entire reception, making sure everything ran according to schedule, from signing our marriage license to timing the speeches and coordinating the band. Lyn and her crew went above and beyond, even keeping the reception space clean and putting away our rented items so they wouldn’t get lost or damaged. Their dedication and meticulousness meant that I could fully enjoy my wedding without any stress or worry. Marsha and Lyn were fantastic! We booked them for day of coordination and they were still available to answer questions throughout the planned process once we booked them. Marsha was the one who was present at our wedding along with an assistant. Marsha was amazing & handled all of the details, including ones we didn’t think of. There services made the day stress free which is what we were hoping for. Their services were one of the best uses of our wedding budget.

We recently used Simply Detailed's services for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding and reception. Marsha and Lyn are terrific people and fantastic to work with. They are so knowledgeable and were a huge help to all of us - my daughter, my husband and I, and the other vendors and they helped to make the day run so smoothly. What I can say is that hiring Simply Detailed may have been the best financial decision I've made in my life. Never have I spent a dollar that has gone further than purchasing their services. They facilitated the whole day, telling us when to go, where to go, and keeping every vendor and bridal party member on track. This isn't including the fact that they decorated the whole wedding with no help from us save for the boxes we gave them. And this isn't mentioning how they called all of my vendors when my wedding had to be rescheduled TWICE for Covid. If you're someone like me (unorganized, phone call hater, a mess), you can understand what a big deal this was. A little stress is inevitable. But the stress they saved me with their services, their work ethic, and their communication was immeasurable. Thank you guys for everything, it was truly the best money I've ever spent!

Lyn and Marsha knocked my husband and I’s wedding out of the park! We told them that’s we wanted an elegant, classy and little bit of our fun personality i our wedding… THEY DID IT! They made the wedding process so easy. If there was a problem we have no idea if there was one! They are amazing ladies and know how to plan one heck of a wedding! Lyn and Marsha were our coordinators from moment one of our wedding. We got married our of state and their knowledge of vendors was vital early on. Later, as the wedding day approached, they crossed all the t's and dotted the i's in the contracts to make sure nothing slipped through the tracks. On our wedding day, they kept us at ease and Lyn even chauffered us around our venue (on a golf cart) during pictures, keeping us at ease. Our wedding wouldn't have been as amazing without these two at the helm.

Peace of Mind! Working with Lyn and Marsha in planning my small wedding with 55 guest was a joy. They helped with.. -all the small details of the day of festivities -coordinated and guided all my vendors to their places -greeted and directed our guests -managed the bridal party and timeline -and some last minute needs the day of the ceremony All I had to do was walk down the aisle and say, "I do" to my husband. Marsha and Lyn were incredible from the beginning. I am not a planner type of person and I needed a lot of hands-on assistance. They were excellent at helping me focus on the details that mattered early on. A pandemic and a baby threw a wrench into our plans but they stuck with us when we had to re-plan everything a year later. The weeks before our wedding they worked so hard to make sure every detail was perfect. I can’t believe how great they were the day before and the day of! Marsha arranged my flowers PERFECTLY and it was so magical to see my dreams come to life. I don’t even think I explained what I wanted very well and yet, they nailed it. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone for a perfect event.

Wow, talk about a a DREAM SHOWER! Simply Detailed Wedding & Event Planning did not let one touch go unnoticed! From the moment you stepped into the shower space to the moment you left there were new surprises. I left the shower all smiles - for the rest of the weekend. Simply Detailed had the most creative things I have ever seen at any shower (I have been to a lot of showers!). The bubbly wall upon entry was so unique with a lush green background, the charcuterie cones were so fun, the balloon wall was done so well and perfect for endless picture opportunities, the drink table was so pretty with fresh flowers, adorable names for the drinks and gorgeous glassware set up. The luncheon table was to dream about! Oh wow, the glassware was perfectly set along with a monogram cookie, gorgeous menu and tall round balloon flying above the table underneath pretty floral arrangements. Have you seen a ice wine holder with flowers inside? Well with Simply Detailed events you can have them! Talk of the table. The desserts were mostly handcrafted with perfect positioning and floral additions. Hands down Simply Detailed is the BEST! Marsha is so kind to work with an listens to everything you want and need and wish for! She is a doll and you will be smiling for hours after your party or hosting a party with Simply Detailed!

Marsha & Lyn of Simply Detailed went above and beyond my expectations and were absolutely amazing to work with. My March 21 wedding had to be cancelled less than a week before due to COVID-19 and statewide restrictions. Prior to having cancelled, we had to find a new venue (~10 days before the wedding) because our original venue could not host large events. Without missing a beat, Marsha and Lyn worked to find me multiple backup venue options and communicated with all my vendors. Unfortunately, we were not able to go through with our wedding, but Marsha and Lyn took away all of the stress for me; they contacted all of my vendors to find alternative dates, assisted me in reviewing my contracts, and worked tirelessly to ensure that my anxiety was kept at bay! Since my wedding was scheduled on the first day of the Illinois stay-at-home order, this was truly an unprecedented situation for them, and I can honestly say they alleviated so much stress for me and handled it professionally and effectively. In these unpredictable times, wedding/day of planners should be a priority for all bride and grooms, and Marsha and Lyn are certainly up for the challenge! I cannot recommend them enough!!

We just had Lyn and Marsha as our wedding planners this past weekend and to say they made our day seamless and stress-free would be an absolute understatement. Lyn and Marsha put me at ease from the moment we hired them (over a year ago) to help with our big day. Not only are they organized and personable, but I was completely hands off when it came to setting up our reception hall and it was everything I could have dreamed it would be. Our wedding truly looked like something out of a magazine and it's all thanks to their talent and creativity. I'm not sure where to begin in my praises for this company and the ladies that make it what it is. We hired them a year ago for my daughter's wedding. My daughter had specific visions about how she wanted things to look and the locations/ambiance of the events. I confess that I never did fully grasp her vision UNTIL I saw what Marsha and Lynn put together based on not much more than discussions and some color palette images. Even though it sounds partial, I'm not at all when I say I believe that this was perhaps the most stunning wedding and reception that I've ever attended. (And since the strong winds and frigid temperature threatened to change all of our plans at the last minute, I would call this an amazing mind-meld between the bride and the planners.) Somehow, Marsha and Lynn were able to capture the very essence of my daughter and put together the event of her dreams. My daughter lives 200 miles away, and Marsha and Lynn were so supportive and flexible with scheduling times to meet with us when the bride and groom were in town. Yes, they met with the groom to get his input as well. They were able to refer us to other vendors and we were also thrilled with their abilities and took advantage of their services. Marsha and Lynn were always punctual and kept us, as well as all of our vendors, on an accurate timeline so that everyone was doing what they should have been at the right times. The day before and of the event is when they really outdid themselves. They had successfully navigated the days leading up to the big event with no less than 7+ different vendors, and they all came together perfectly at the right time. (Most were out of town vendors, as well.) I wish I could attach some of the photos of the venue before and after so you could witness the transformation. It left me speechless and in tears - of relief and joy. It was nothing less than perfection. We could not have asked for anything better. Their involvement in the entire process made all of our jobs that much easier. I can't imagine having tried to do this event without them. Yes, I highly recommend using wedding planner services, but I don't just recommend ANY wedding planners. Simply Detailed goes WAY above and beyond, and the dedicated women that started and run the business have the background and creativity to bring things to life that I can't even hardly imagine. 10 stars would be the more appropriate rating, in my opinion.

Lyn and Marsha were fabulous to work with! They were very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed the day of and in putting things out at the reception before we got there. They did everything we asked and also helped to make sure things stayed on time. We had several different entrainment “acts” throughout the night that they were able to help coordinate the day of. They knew many of our vendors already and called them to make sure everything was good a couple weeks before the wedding and got our questions answered. They also drove 1.5 hours to see our venue and make sure they knew what our vision was. It was also great to get two for the price of one! We enjoyed working with Marsha and Lyn!

Lynn and Marsha did an excellent job setting up our decorations for our wedding. We chose an unconventional spooky Halloween-inspired theme and were very particular about the way we wanted everything to look. Lyn and Marsha really exceeded our expectations by coordinating our unique but chaotic vision into something truly coherent and spectacular. We really overloaded them with items and they managed to sort through all of it and assemble it beautifully in a very small amount of time. Their ability to put everything together with limited directions and get to such a beautiful end end result was especially excellent. The quality of service for the prices they charge are unbeatable and the professional level of expertise they possess is off the charts. I cannot thank them enough for making our day run smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing because they helped to make sure everything was perfect. They added extra touches we never would have come up with on our own! Professional, professional, professional. Lyn and Marsha are a dynamic duo with each very unique talents that compliment each other. Not only do they do the unglamorous "grunt" prep work of calling and visiting vendors, on the day of, their artistic vision also helps you tastefully repurpose various elements of the wedding (pew flowers became guest table flowers, etc). Marsha and Lyn were an integral part of our wedding, and my husband and I highly recommend them. I reached out to Marsha and Lyn roughly six months before my wedding. At that point, I was overwhelmed by all things wedding-related. They immediately put me at ease, and I felt confident that they could help me plan a beautiful wedding. I had no clear vision of what said wedding would look like, but they met with me numerous times to guide me through the process. They were also always quick to respond to my countless questions and concerns. Further, they contacted many vendors on my behalf, and coordinated with all of the vendors to ensure that the wedding was a success. And when there were random emergencies thrown their way - even on the wedding day itself - they remained calm and focused their energy on finding the solution that worked best for me. The first choice I made after getting engaged was to invite Simply Detailed into the process and it was by far the best and most impactful decision. Marsha and Lyn were nothing but supportive, insightful, creative, fiscally responsible and overwhelmingly genuine to both my fiancé and I. On the actual day of our wedding, I cannot truly account for the hard work, diligence and organization that went into the process. During the wedding weekend, Simply Detailed handled every curve ball with a homerun moment. When the rain threatened our outside ceremony, the ladies made some touch choices to make last minute moves that were not only the right call, but gave us the peace of mind that the ceremony was in good hands. With their support, my fiancé and I were able to fully immerse ourselves in the festivities and only focus on our families and each other. If give the opportunity, I would choose Simply Detailed every time. The investment was negligible compared to the return we received from their hard work. Words can’t express our gratitude for Marsha and Lyn. Everything was exactly as I had envisioned and more. They allowed me to be as active or absent in wedding planning as I wanted to be. They met with vendors and did all the tedious thing I didn’t want to do. They were such a pleasure to work with and so easy to get it touch with! I could write an e mail or shoot them a text and always got prompt replies. They helped me with things I didn’t even know I needed to do, and then fixed things I totally forgot I needed to do. They definitely saved me money throughout the process with little tricks here and there. They were worth every penny of investing in a wedding coordinator. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and it was all because of them!

I recently attended my niece's wedding coordinated by Simply Detailed. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend Simply Detailed to provide excellent coordination of any event. They are there to take care of all the behind the scene and party details from start to finish so there's no worries for the bridal party and family. Everything was stunningly elegant!

Marsha and Lyn jumped in last minute when my other wedding planner didn’t work out. They met me quickly, took on the challenge of all of our last minute needs, and were in constant contact. I cannot recommend them enough, they completed the details I imagined for our wedding, and I am sure the situation made it more difficult than normal.

The Best Wedding Planners for the Best Day Ever--our daughter's wedding! We had 6 1/2 months to plan this and we hired Simply Detailed after 2 months. They were spectacular! They were the interface between all the wedding & reception details that needed to be planned. Of special note is their handling of our first caterer, which turned out to be highly unprofessional and lax. Lyn & Marsha are well-informed in the myriad details of wedding & reception planning--caterers, flowers, renting linens, venues, schedules of events, etiquette, etc! They were present for the wedding rehearsal and helped guide the participants in the timing of their entry. They planned the First Look and also the Bubble shower after the service. For the reception, they served as the supervisors when the linens, buffet line, wedding cake, bar service, etc were arriving and being set up by other parties. (They even sent back table linens to be replaced which had noticeable stains on them!) They placed 150 chair covers, the draping behind the head table, centerpieces the bride and family had made--adding flowers the day of the reception. They stayed until the doors closed and helped tear down and delivered family gifts & items to a predesignated home. Lyn & Marsha have vast experience, talents and artistic skills that transformed a college dining hall into a lovely reception venue! The best accolade comes from my husband who, after we had seen the "raw and untouched" reception venue and then came back 6 hours later to see a glistening white and sangria wonderland, asked me: "How much did we pay these ladies?" "Wow! That's a steal!" Yes, they totally took care of every detail so that we could fully enjoy the weekend of our only daughter's wedding! They are worth every penny and more!
