Kim and her staff at Six Star Events were amazing! Kim was always quick to respond to an email or text and always positive in her responses. The food is absolutely amazing! The staff even took time to make a special dessert that was nut-free for one of our guests with an allergy, last minute when requested. I highly recommend them.

Six Star helped make our daughter’s wedding reception perfect. Everyone agreed the food was delicious! The presentation was lovely, and everything ran smoothly. Kim and her staff were courteous, efficient and professional. Kim was helpful with making necessary accommodations due to COVID. SO glad we had them on our team for our daughter’s special day!!

And Kim and Six Star Events does it again! She has now catered for both my daughter's weddings and this year the rehearsal as well. The 8.22 wedding was perfect and Kim had so much to do with that. From placing the rental orders, elegantly dressing the tables, creating a timeline, to coordinating the air conditioning and most importantly, alleviating stress during these Covid times, we could not have done it without her. She and her staff went above and beyond, individually plating appetizers and taking every precaution to have a beautiful and safe wedding. The food was delicious as always (the Lemon & Kosher salmon in dill sauce was to die for!) and the presentation is a true work of art. Her passion in serving her clients and her dedication to the industry is extraordinary. Anyone looking to host an event large or small, Six Star Events is your answer. Blessed to have her for the most important day in both my daughters' lives.

Kim and her team have done it once again! Incredible, winter-wonderland wedding! Kim is so much more than a caterer! She works so well with all the vendors to make sure the dream becomes reality. I can't say enough about Kim James and Six Star Events. She is not only a caterer but an amazing event planner. She is prompt at responding to questions and so helpful with creating timelines, suggesting linen choices and pairing dishes that compliment each other. She catered my daughter's wedding in WV on 6/15/19 and the food was fabulous and the staff so professional. My guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the menu was and she made my daughter's wedding perfect. She will catering my second daughter's wedding and I can't wait to work with her again.

They went above and beyond for us! Even brought out food to our parents and grandparents instead of having them wait in the buffet line!

Kim James and her family (that’s what they are) a family that just happens to cater amazing events. The food was amazing from the meatballs, cheese platter (the blue cheese just melted in my mouth) to the chicken and steak! The main dishes were wonderful, the chicken tender and juicy, and the steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly! The mash potatoes and mac and cheese, I’ve heard from everyone that it was the best! These were a special request from the Bride – who also love them! Some of the young adult guest were a bit confused about the green beans – they were what I call elevated green beans - vinaigrette, so tasty and crisp – they were perfect. The bartenders were great handling a crowd of over 200, and two-thirds of them were “Irish”, and enjoy a few drinks. No one wanted for anything, it was a buffet, but they took the time to bring not only to the Bride and Groom, but to my father, his friend and other guests so they wouldn’t have to get in the line. My daughter’s wedding wouldn’t have been the same with any other caterer, I personally as well as all my guests highly “recommend” Kim James and her family to cater their events. If I could add 10 additional stars I would! Kim and her entire team made our wedding planning fun and exciting, and she is one of the most knowledgeable and real people in the wedding business I have ever met. She invited us for a pre-selected menu tasting, and that sealed the deal for us! Her full-service company offers couples the opportunity to curate (with their help) a beautiful and seamless event with very little left to plan afterward. Kim was beyond helpful in answering all of my obnoxious questions and was able to give us insight and advice without forcing her hand. The food was spectacular - the crab cakes and remoulade sauce were to die for, and the mini desserts were a huge hit! We had one person assigned to make sure my husband and I ate, and all of the bar staff and wait staff were super attentive of all guests, particularly of the bridal party. We had so many family members ask for Six Star's information and kitchen address for future use! If and when we ever need a caterer, event staff, or rentals we will absolutely be going to Kim!!

Kim did the catering for both our rehearsal brunch and wedding and everything was perfect. She was the only caterer who really worked with us to stay in our budget. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and she made the entire process a complete breeze. I highly recommend Six Star Catering to every bride and groom.

Six Star Events came highly recommended to us for our wedding, and we chose them based on their reputation, reasonable prices, and delightful-sounding menu options. Besides taste, presentation is really important to me when it comes to food, and Six Star was able to nail exactly what I was looking for. They used fresh, colorful ingredients and were willing to incorporate fruit from my family’s orchard (and venue) into their recipes. That added a personalized touch to our meal that was much appreciated and very cool. We opted to do food “stations” as opposed to a typical sit-down meal or buffet line, and that worked really well in our venue. Kim and her staff were extremely professional and courteous…we were personally checked on multiple times throughout the night to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with and the meal service progressed flawlessly. Many of our pictures were taken during cocktail hour, and they were thoughtful enough to (thankfully) bring us trays of appetizers so we didn’t miss out on any of them! All of the food was absolutely DELICIOUS, and I would happily recommend Six Star to anyone looking for a top-notch event caterer.

From the moment we met her, Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with! She and her staff worked in below freezing weather during our reception to insure that we had the best service and most delicious food possible. We have received numerous compliments on both the service and the food since then! Additionally, we were graciously provided with leftovers from the reception, which was a great help during the first week of our marriage. Would certainly recommend both Kim and Six Star Events LLC!

We got Kim’s name as highly recommended event planner and caterer in the area where we were getting married. We chose to get married somewhere sort of remote, so we were really looking for a one-stop shop where someone could provide guidance, coordination, event rentals, set up, take down, and, of course, fantastic food! Kim was able to do all that and more for us. She was accommodating, detail oriented, and her years of experience really helped me determine when things were actually a problem and when I was letting my wedding nerves freak me out. On her coordination/event planning: The first time we met with Kim at Six Star, it was obvious that she knew exactly what she was talking about. She pushed us to think about details that we would have never considered - details that really made the difference between a more standard event and an event that really represented my now-husband and me. She was also incredibly patient with balancing multiple opinions from my family, and was very responsive. And on the day of, she asked me for virtually nothing. She directed her questions to other people, made sure the vendors had what they needed, and met me with a smile when it was time to get everything started. There’s not enough space here to really tell you how much we appreciated Kim and the Six Star team, but I would recommend them all a million times over with zero hesitation. The food was great! They worked with me months/weeks in advance to figure out what I wanted and what would fit my budget, and were not stressed out when I made a huge menu change a couple of weeks before the big day. I did a lot of DIY stuff for the wedding, some of which didnt come together completely, but anything that went wrong on my part was not seen by me or my guests during dinner and reception. They were professional and great at what they do.

Kim and Six Star are absolutely amazing! A tornado/hurricane came through Winchester the night before our wedding. The tent and some decorations were set up the night before and Im sure many of them were gone when they got there in the morning. But they did an amazing job at cleaning the place and and changing a few sations due to the fact that the garden was destroyed. The food was delicous, we actually didnt get many leftovers to take home due to the fact that our guest ate it all. Absolutely amazing Kim! Thank you so much!!!

Kim, Sarah and the rest of the staff at Six Star were amazing. They catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. I HIGHLY recommend their services. Six Star was recommended to us by our venue, and we are ever so thankful to have found them. We communicated via email as we live out of state, and Kim was always prompt, informative and friendly. She was honest in the costs, helped me to stick to our budget and made amazing recommendations and suggestions. She is rational and flexible as well and was more than happy to help us figure out how to provide our own alcohol to save costs, and worked with a family friend to create the dessert bar for the items our family and friends baked. I had not had the opportunity to do a tasting, and yet I wasn't even worried about how the food would taste. I trusted Kim and her staff - which is a hard thing to do. I was not disappointed. The rehearsal dinner and our wedding lunch reception was delicious. Her staff was incredibly professional, clean and quick. One of her staff, Sarah, made great suggestions to help our cake cutting and general timeline flow smoothly. We could not have been happier with the services we received. Kim was such an amazing and accomodating wedding vendor. A one stop shop you will not regret using. The food was out of this world- they let us catch our own fish and they prepared it for the reception. We wanted to have a fish race game and her husband made the game for us. The tent and decorations were absolutely perfect and I could not have imagined it any other way. She really listened to what we wanted and made our night happen exactly as planned. Flawless. You cannot go wrong with Six Star!
