Josey is warm, funny, and a joy to work with, and she was an absolutely essential part of our wedding day--we couldn't have pulled it off without her. From building an incredibly detailed timeline and reconfirming details with other vendors, to last-minute floral arranging and making sure I had my bouquet to walk down the aisle (plus one GAZILLION other things!), Josey was on top of it all and made the whole day feel seamless. Having Josey on our team allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding day--we had the space to savor the small moments because we knew she had everything covered. We love you, Josey!

Josey played an integral role in making our wedding weekend absolutely flawless. We chose to host our wedding on our private family property, which presented numerous logistical challenges. We began working with Josey approximately 14 months before our big day, and she proved to be invaluable in helping us navigate every detail. From booking our vendors to sorting out the intricacies of hosting an event at a private residence, Josey was there every step of the way. Sustainability was a top priority for us, and Josey's expertise came through as she assisted us in finding compostable products and meticulously planning all the logistics. As the wedding weekend approached, Josey took charge of the setup and transformed our venue into an absolutely stunning space. On the actual wedding day, everything ran like clockwork, and it was nothing short of perfection. Without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made was entrusting Josey with the planning of our wedding. Her dedication and expertise made our special day truly unforgettable.

Josey was so amazing to work with! We initially thought we would be able to plan our wedding without a planner, but after a few months of dragging our feet on starting to contact vendors we decided to connect with Josey. Almost immediately after starting our first meeting with her we realized how much we needed a planner to guide us through the process, and Josey was the perfect person to do it. She respected all our non traditional choices and made us feel great about the wedding we wanted to have. We planned our wedding completely remotely and Josey was the main reason we could pull that off! Her knowledge and connections with amazing local vendors was so impressive - she had endless lists of backup vendors when first choices were booked and the entire vendor choice process was stress-free, entirely because of her! Every meeting with Josey got us excited again about our wedding, even when we were feeling stressed about how it would all go. Even when we missed deadlines or forgot about action items, she gently got us right back on track. We highly recommend as many meetings as Josey suggests and maybe even extras!! Beyond how excellent Josey was to work with in the planning process, she was an absolute joy to finally meet in person at our rehearsal and work with on our wedding day. So many friends and family remarked how she fit right in :) She’s a joy to work with and we cannot recommend her enough. Lifesaver of a wedding planner and gem of a human!!

Oh my goodness. Josey is the most wonderful wedding planner I could have ever asked for! I'm a little biased since I worked for her for a summer before the pandemic, but if anything it just means I got to see her in action that much more! She is so personable with absolutely EVERY couple she works with. She is small but mighty and FIERCE. She knows how to get things done, but you'll never think she's being too bossy or rude. She is all OVER and knows everyone that's involved and knows everything that's going on. Even if you just hire her for the day of, you are getting your moneys worth. She sends you reminder emails throughout your planning process to keep you on track and has a great planning system (that I like better than The Knot tbh). Plus she knows so many vendors in the business that you can work with if you aren't sure who to use. And on the day, it was so calming and comforting knowing I could relax and take care of getting ready while she took care of getting everything set up and talking to all the vendors, making sure they were all on the same page. She generally has an assistant she works with who are all FABULOUS and work so so hard to make your day as wonderful as possible. They will set up and take down and make sure everything is put in the proper boxes. As long as you are organized (and even if you aren't) Josey will reassure you a million times that everything will be okay. She will take on the stresses for you. Seeing her not stress really helps calm the day. Not only will she take care of the day, she will make sure you and your bridal party are where you need to be. She'll joke around with the groomsmen and chat and dance with the Bridesmaids. I love her SO MUCH and planned for 18 months to have the most relaxing, amazing wedding day. Josey, I can't thank you enough. I just wish I could've hung out with you more on the day because you're just such a ball of FUN. Truly, this woman does not miss a beat. She knows what she's talking about and has an AMAZING podcast for couples planning their wedding. Seriously, snatch her up and put her in your pocket to take home because before you know it the day will be over and she will be off to the next wedding. Ugh, Josey I love you and miss you like CRAZY. Sorry it took me forever to get you this review! HIRE HER.

11/10 Josey made our evening go perfectly and smoothly and was a dream to work with. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised by how hands-on she was throughout the entire process, despite being booked as "just" a day-of coordinator. She was able to help us identify things we hadn't thought through well enough (or at all!) in the planning phase, and her help developing the floor plan was crucial. She ran the rehearsal with the perfect level of bossiness :) And during the wedding itself, she was constantly moving, willing to pitch in wherever it was needed, even helping restaurant staff clear tables throughout the night. Her energy level never flagged and she was determinedly cheerful and upbeat. We couldn't have done this without her; cannot recommend highly enough.

Hire Josey!!! With teenage children, aging parents, demanding jobs and other things going on in our lives, we knew that we needed to hire someone to help us plan our wedding. Josey was amazing and helped to guide us every step of the way. She offered suggested wedding vendors, guided us to ask all of the right questions, helped us to review their proposals and was willing to let us know when their bids were just too out of line. We often became overwhelmed with the planning process, and Josey was always there willing to help keep our sanity. She has an amazing energy and great sense of humor. On the day of the wedding, she had assured us that she would be in charge of everything and that we could just enjoy our wedding... which is exactly what happened. Josey helped to develop a timeline for the entire day and made sure there was time for everything. She was the point-person for every single vendor in the days leading up to our wedding and on the day of which alleviated so much of our stress. When we forgot to have someone bring our flowers to our photo location before the wedding, she stopped at our venue and picked them up and delivered them to us. She navigated the entire day, while also making sure that my husband and I had enough to eat at our reception and that the take-down of our rental equipment went smoothly. On top of it all, she was a hit with our guests on the dance floor - everyone loved her!!! She is a no-brainer when looking to hire a wedding coordinator! Hire Josey!!!

100% must hire!!! I hired Josey for my day-of coordinator and added on her Rehearsal Dinner package service, as well! It was one of the best decisions for me, my family and my groom because we were all able to go into not only the wedding day, but also wedding week with a completely confident and relieved mindset! She made sure our timeline was absolutely perfect and pointed out things that I never would’ve thought of on my own or by reading about on blog posts, Instagram, asking friends, etc. One specific aspect that I LOVED was that she was able to put together an organized, clear and concise timeline for every person in the family and bridal party to reference.. this was extremely helpful in that people on your wedding day can avoid coming to you asking unnecessary questions!! This took a major stress load off of my parents as well, so that they could enjoy the day and not be running around like crazy.. I found Josey through word of mouth- a party my parents attended that Josey assisted with, and she impressed them from the very beginning!! I couldn’t recommend hiring Josey and her lovely assistant, Cherie, enough- they’re going to help make sure your wedding is 100% stress-free and that’s something you can’t put a price tag on!!!

Hiring Josie and Sixpence Events was probably the best decision we made for our wedding. Josie is an incredible coordinator and planner, and she was able to help make our dream wedding come true. She has a wonderful, infectious energy, and she brought that passion to every aspect of her work from the day we hired her until the last table was cleared on the day itself. We had a number of last-minute mini-crises on the day of and she STILL made sure everything happened flawlessly. She was 100% committed to making sure that everything about our wedding day happened as we dreamed it would. She coordinated with each of our vendors to make sure things arrived on time and flawlessly managed communication with the vendors the week leading up to and the day of the wedding, she toured the venue with our decorator to make sure everything was set up according to our vision, she made sure that we were able to find time to sit down ourselves and eat during dinner, she helped us build a timeline we were happy with and ensured that we stuck to that timeline on the day of the wedding, and she was a great photography assistant, making sure that the brides dress always looked on point for pictures. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING We hired Josey as our day of coordinator and it was the best decision we made. Josey was not only affordable, but also very detailed oriented. On my wedding day, I was able to take a nap in the bridal suite because I literally had ZERO CONCERNS and NO STRESS. She put in the up-front work of asking all the questions about decor, bridal party, logistics, etc which enabled the day-of to be a breeze. I didn't even leave my bridal suite because I knew Josey had everything under control. I hired Josey as my Day-of Coordinator and she was an absolute life saver. I got engaged and planned my 120-person wedding in 3 months. I could not be happier with Josey! If you are Type A and want your day to go smoothly she is the one for you! She was our Day of Coordinator and was so helpful in the year leading up. She reviewed contracts for us, had suggests on vendors and décor, but most importantly took detailed notes to make sure our day was perfect! I sent photos of how the decorations should be set up, she double checked with all of our vendors to make sure they knew the plan, and when the building next to us had construction going on right before the ceremony she ran over to make sure they stopped. With her there I had no concerns and was able to enjoy the day without putting pressure on my friends and family to set up decorations, worry about catering, or have to deal with moving chairs. Everyone should have a day of coordinator at Josey is the best!

You need Josey and her team at your wedding! We had two goals for our wedding. Have an amazing party with our friends and family and have it be stress-free. Josey will make both dreams come true! Not only was Josey and her assistant Cheri there to make sure every detail was taken care of, but they also ensured I had a drink in my hands at all times and nothing was going to stress me out. If something went wrong at our wedding, I don't know about it, because they took care of it all. I had an amazing relaxing morning doing my hair and makeup with all my girls and arrived at the venue to all of our vendors already in full setup mode. Josey even helped making sure I would stay looking stunning for all of our photography and videography. If being stress-free and truly taking the time to ENJOY your wedding day is a priority for you, then look no further then Josey! (Also, she helped with our rehearsal, which was of course went great with her there!)

On our Wedding Day, it was so nice to know everything was taken care of. Oftentimes people tell you something on your Wedding Day will go wrong, but for us nothing did! I think that is largely thanks to you! Anyone getting married should consider working with you. You are the best! You really take the stress out of the entire process. It can be overwhelming planning a wedding when you have no experience in the process. For example, I had no idea how to put together a timeline. It was so nice to walk through it with someone who had a feeling what it could look like. Our vendors also commented on how great you were! They loved working with you. Again thank you for all your help!

I found Josey through a recommended vendors from our venue--I initially didn't think we needed a day-of coordinator, but after our venue required one, I sought out someone who best fit mine and my now-husband's personalities + our overall vision for the day. After meeting Josey, I just knew that she would be perfect for the job. She was SUPER organized, bubbly, down to earth, genuinely interested in making sure our day was perfect, and as a bonus she looked just like my maid of honor. Ha! It was a sign. It's a shame we're only getting married once because I'd love to spend more time with her. She was super easy to work with during the entire process and was always quick to answer an email no matter how dumb my question seemed. I wanted our day to be seamless and relaxed, and a day for our families (and us, of course!) to enjoy without worrying about logistics and all the "behind the scenes" stuff. I am so relieved we ended up having a coordinator, especially Josey and her team, because our day was simply perfect. I would recommend her to anyone, she is as good as they get.

We knew Josey was the one when we received her response to our questionnaire. RJ had described our friendship like “mushrooms” - a risky move, not everyone likes mushrooms - and Josey was immediately excited to work with us and get to know us. What we really appreciated about working with Josey is that she helped us plan our wedding on our own terms. She gave us a ton of tools and advice and feedback, but ultimately did not pressure us on anything. Instead, she helped us make decisions by listening to our ideas and writing them down as if they had been decided - which was perfect for us because we would have agonized over decisions right up until the last minute. Also, our time with her was so enjoyable because of her incredible laid back attitude and her comfort with the distraction and tangents we often brought into our conversations, because we could talk to her about so many topics beyond our wedding. Josey single handedly changed Hannah’s mind about day-of coordinators. Our wedding would not have been possible, let alone as beautiful and fun and joyful as it was, without her guidance and support. She kept us grounded through the process, and we always left our meetings with her feeling calm and ready for the next steps. On the day-of, she managed everything - schedule, family, details - perfectly, keeping us out of the weeds to enjoy our day.

Josey was essential on our wedding day, but we also really appreciated all her advice during the planning process. She understands that most couples haven’t ever planned a wedding before and brought up many questions about the details we didn’t know we needed to think about. We also listened to all of her podcast episodes and read some of her blog entries and both were great resources for planning! We would say that working with Josey is absolutely worth the investment! We had total peace of mind - both on the day of our wedding and during the planning process - knowing that someone as competent as Josey was there to help. Josey has a friendly personality and works very well with people. All of our other vendors that knew Josey had nothing but great things to say about her!

The short and sweet of it is that having Josey was the best thing we didn’t know we needed. Leading up to the wedding the communication was efficient, helpful, and conscious of not being over-bearing. She seemed dedicated to making the week of the wedding as painless as possible, and received our chaotic questions with grace. And then the day came. To be honest, we don’t remember many of the logistics, but we think that says a lot. From clutch chalkboard calligraphy to constantly reminding the groom to hydrate & take off his wool jacket so he didn’t pass out in the heat, Josey was with us when we needed it and in the background when we didn’t. To all of those hesitant couples—whether it is because you feel confident in your ability to DIY or because you just don’t know if it’s worth it—we've been there. But now we can say that if you’re looking to remember the people, the emotions, the laughter instead of who is doing what when; if you are afraid your family or friends might have a few too many to-do’s: look no further than Josey.

Where do I begin.... When our wedding weekend finally rolled around and every box was checked, I had zero nerves. We hired Josey as a day of coordinator and we had an initial meeting along with an 8 week and 2 week meeting. It kept me feeling cool and confident that we were on track with our planning and she helped us with several ideas and areas we were unsure of. Josey coordinated our wedding on August 25 and we had a fantastic experience working with her. Leading up to the wedding, Josey maintained a great amount of contact and communication by reaching out frequently enough to keep us comfortable that we were all on track with planning. She’s also very quick with recommendations and responses to our questions—even at the height of wedding season. Josey is AMAZING! I have had the privilege of working with her on a styled shoot, learning from her entrepreneurial expertise, and planning my wedding! Josey is always 1000 steps ahead of the game, she knows exactly what she is doing (this isn't her first rodeo), and she will take care of things you didn't even know existed. We used Josey for day of coordination for my daughter's wedding day. She was perfect for us- met with my daughter and I a couple of months before the wedding to go over every detail and help us set up a timeline for the wedding day and a to do list. She was attached to all emails with vendors and came up with questions for them that I did not think of, she was always looking out for us! Knowing Josey was looking out for us was a weight off our shoulders that we were not missing anything. On the wedding day, Josey was AMAZING! She took care of every detail, connected with all the vendors, helped with set up, I did not hear of any problem if there was one,-she took care of any issue, kept the flow going for the day, at the end of the night, I went to the bridal suite and she was cleaning up so everything would be organized for us at the end of the night! Joey did so many things that I do not even know about! It was PRICELESS for me to be able to spend every minute of the day after months of planning, to truly ENJOY the day and spend the morning with my daughter in the bridal suite not missing a thing! We LOVED Josey- would not have had the perfect day that we did without her there!

Thanks to Josey we had sound at our wedding ceremony! The DJ forgot to bring a generator for power to the ceremony location. Our wedding day would not have been as low-stress as it was without Josey's help. She helped us to feel prepared ahead of time and then worked like a little hummingbird the day of making sure everyone and everything was in the right place at the right time. My now-husband and I waffled a little bit about whether hiring a planner would be worth the expense, but having gone through it, we now know that hiring a planner - especially Josie - is SO worth it. We were honored to be able to have Sixpence Events & Planning to plan one of our monthly meetings. I was absolutely blown away by all of the amazing vendors she bought in and had connections with. Blown away by the organization of Josey and her team. And throughout all of the coordination of the morning / day she was a calming and professional presence.
