DO NOT BOOK HERE the pictures do not show what the site actually looks like. It looks like a construction zone—no grass, pot holes, and tire tracks everywhere. They try to pressure you to sign a contract before seeing it. We were close to booking but once we saw it in person we immediately backed out.
Scott, Steve, Will, Brandon and PJ were fantastic to work with! The whole Keystone Ranch team made our wedding a magical experience. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the food was truly terrific. I cannot say enough great things about the staff, food, and ambiance. I highly recommend this venue for your event!
Great!
We did our engagement photos at Keystone Resort and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Our pictures turned out perfectly.
We had our ceremony and reception here and the place is an absolute dream. The scenery, the food, the staff, everything is bar none. They are pros at making sure the whole day is perfect and they answered every question I had throughout the whole planning process. We have been complimented by everyone about how beautiful it was and how delicious the food was, how no one waited in line for a drink and rustic and Colorado the venue felt. We had our ceremony on their lawn that looks at the mountains and man, it feels and looks like a fairy tale. We would recommend Keystone Ranch to anyone having a wedding with up to 140 guests. It is the most wonderful place.
Our wedding at Keystone (Timber Ridge) was an absolute DREAM. Our coordinator Madi was the best ever. She was so helpful, including answering the 1M questions I had for the entire year before! Keystone really goes above and beyond to make the whole experience wonderful for both the bride/groom as well as the guests. The lodging for guests is very affordable, and you can’t beat the gondola rides to the top of the mountain, and then the views!! All food, beverage, cake is done through Keystone, and it is outstanding! Keystone has a list of preferred vendors who have worked with their venues before (aka potentially hauling stuff to the top of a mountain), which are all great recommendations. The day of the wedding, the staff was so helpful and great to work with. We would recommend a wedding through Keystone/Timber Ridge to everyone. It greatly greatly exceeded all our (and guests) expectations!!! I will never forget this best day ever. Thank you SO much Keystone! 😊
This is the best reception venue! It has incredible views, delicious food, and a real rustic atmosphere. The Ranch provides the true mountain experience.
We had our wedding in Keystone Resort at Timber Ridge and highly recommend it for it's spectacular views and it's incredible and helpful staff. Because Timber Ridge is a resort-run wedding venue, you should expect a certain amount of restrictions (food and beverage must be provided by Keystone, only certain contract elements can be changed, etc.), but know that what they provide is of an extremely high quality, and the team there is happy to be flexible wherever possible.
Ashley was our catering manager and was tremendously helpful throughout the wedding planning process. She was always quick to assist with any venue related aspect of planning our dream wedding. The day itself ran completely without issue and the staff was brilliant, receiving many compliments from our guests.
We chose Timber Ridge for the amazing views, but were consistently pleased with every other aspect of the services they provided.
We had our wedding at the Ranch on July 6th and everything went perfectly. Ashley, the catering manager was on top of all of the venue details and was flexible to our schedule as we live out of state. There is a new manager at the Ranch, Steve, who was wonderful and who has made a lot of updates to the upstairs area. It was perfect for getting ready with the bridesmaids - we had breakfast catered, ordered lunch from the Ranch's menu, and hair and makeup came to us. There is a ton of space - at least one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and 3 living areas with couches and vanities, a large table and a kitchenette. After the bridal party was ready, we used that space for the kids that attended our wedding. It was a perfect location for a mountain wedding.
We had our wedding reception at the Alpenglow Stube, and it was truly wonderful. The venue is beautiful, warm and inviting. The food was superb and had our guests raving. Our guest with dietary needs were well taken care of and loved their meals as well. The staff was absolutely excellent. Our catering manager, Madi, was truly amazing, and really went above and beyond for us. Chef Gabe was wonderful, we had a blast designing a cake, and it turned our absolutely perfect. Once we made it past the initial contract portion of the process, our experience with Keystone was awesome. We can honestly say our wedding was perfect, and highly recommend Keystone and the Stube!
We got married at Timber Ridge in August and highly recommend it as a venue. The views are spectacular and guests enjoyed the gondola ride. The food and service were excellent. Everything was on-time and executed flawlessly. The cake is provided by Keystone but you design it! Ours was five tiers, had custom decorations, and two flavors. It was delicious and was no extra cost. The bartender was generous with his pours and a favorite of guests. We were disappointed in the initial selection of wines, however we were quickly offered other options that were great. We booked our Saturday date over a year and a half in advance, so book early if you're interested!
Our wedding at Timber Ridge was absolutely incredible. The backdrop of the Anticipation ceremony location is breath taking, and having to take 2 gondolas back to the ceremony not only leaves it feeling remote and personal, but is a very cool experience for out of town guests. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, and we got rave reviews on the food. I wish that we could do it all over again!
We had our wedding reception at Keystone Ranch and it was absolutely amazing! The Ranch provides a food and beverage package that includes a cake. The food was outstanding and many of our guest said it was the best wedding food they have ever had! Our wedding coordinator from Keystone Resorts, Madi, was very helpful throughout the planning process and promptly answered any questions we had. If you want a venue in a stunning location with excellent food and service, this is the place for you!
My husband and I were married at Timber Ridge a few weeks ago and we could not be happier to have chosen it as our venue. Timber Ridge is a beautiful ski lodge located in the mountains in Keystone. Guests will need to ride 2 gondolas to get to the top, passing gorgeous views of mountains. Our ceremony was held on a ski run with a picturesque backdrop of mountains and evergreens. Cocktail hour was held on the deck and a delicious dinner and dancing inside to follow. We had so much fun! Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Keystone staff is amazing!! Last minute my husband asked for an appetizer to be served late and they were extremely accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone and hope to attend a wedding their myself one day.
I can't say enough good things about this venue and their staff! They take care of everything from morning to night. Food was raved about by all, and the setting is just...perfect. Love the fact that they have in house lodging for ~26 guests, and allow you to hang out in the lodge as late as you would like. The fireplaces in the living room are beautiful and make a wonderful setting for some indoor relaxing. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding!
Not only is this venue beautiful and a delight for all your guests, but the staff here is more than amazing. If you want to be well taken care of on your wedding day this is the venue for you. They've got it down to a science!
The venue it’s self was amazing!! The view is stunning, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted! The Keystone ranch was the perfect place for our mountain wedding. Every wedding has hiccups and ours was the administration or Service manager for Keystone Ski Resort. If being kept up to date, attention to detail, and having excellent customer service is something very important to you, pick a different venue!!!! For me that was frustrating but considering the struggles we had with our assigned planning person and the administration, I wouldn’t have wanted my wedding anywhere else. We also had a “day of” wedding planner which was a life saver! If you pick this venue a “day of” planner is a must! (I recommend Petal and Bean)
Here’s a quick story to sum up our struggles with the administration...the baker made us a 1st anniversary cake near our anniversary instead of saving the top. Well that baker has retired since our wedding. They are still honoring the 1st anniversary cake. My parents pick ours up for us and when my mom opened the wrapping the cake topper said Happy Birthday. We called to let them know and the front desk persons response was “oh they just used the wrong stencil.” And we haven’t heard back from our originally assigned planner regarding the mistake. I’m not surprised.
So Happy 1st Birthday to us, I hope it’s the right cake!!
I had my wedding at Timber Ridge in summer 2017. Let me start by saying that if you’re looking for a mountain venue with stunning views and good indoor space that can hold over 100 people, Timber Ridge is ideal. We booked Timber Ridge for the reasons mentioned, however we had a great deal of trouble with the Keystone weddings staff. If you book this venue be prepared to constantly follow-up with Keystone weddings staff for information. We found it was very difficult to reach our contact, Chelsea. She averaged a two-week response time to our emails. Most often, I would not receive a response and had to follow-up multiple times.
There were a few issues with the wedding coordination, but overall the wedding day itself was great and the Timber Ridge serving staff were all amazing. Now that it’s over, I think the beauty of the venue outweighs the frustrations my family and I had with the Keystone weddings staff. Just be prepared.
Keystone Ranch was the perfect location choice for our August 2017 wedding. Our guests raved about the beauty and uniqueness of the setting, and many said it was A DREAM WEDDING. The mountains in the background were so magnificent that people couldn't believe they were real! The photos we’ve received thus far are incredible. I would strongly recommend this spot for couples wanting an authentic and truly unique Colorado mountain wedding. Chelsea, and the team at Keystone Resort Conferences and Weddings, Chef Ned, and the GM of Keystone Ranch, all have a deeply instilled ethic of personal service. The entire Keystone Resort staff works together cooperatively, which contributed to the high level of service and the successful execution of our banquet specifications. Chelsea was a true pleasure to work with, and approached special requests and last minute changes in stride. A few weeks leading up to our big day, we had a number of last minute requests, which Chelsea promptly communicated to the cross-functional parties involved and ensured our requests were executed per our specifications. Chelsea also worked with us during the planning process, and advised us on everything we needed to know about Keystone Ranch to make our event a success. The inside of the restaurant is adorned with ambient lighting, equipped with beautiful banquet chairs, and includes an assortment of dining tables (rounds, and rectangular, all different in size) with stunning windows that are well-placed throughout the interior. I strongly recommend Keystone Ranch for all brides seeking an authentic and majestically stunning Colorado mountain wedding with 5 STAR FOOD!!
Beautiful ceremony and reception venue! The views are absolutely stunning and your guests will experience that 'wow' factor from the high vaulted ceilings inside. The staff at Timber Ridge were extremely professional, catering to our every need! They even brought us extra oysters and served me and my bridesmaids in our dressing room champagne and hors d'oeuvre. Another spectacular treat was riding the gondola to the very back of the mountain to arrive to the venue. Overall we had a magical experience and were so pleased we chose this venue for our ceremony and reception!
We had our wedding at Keystone Ranch in July 2017 and it was the perfect venue for our mountain wedding! The food and service was excellent, and Chef Ned's cake was amazing! The Ranch was super accommodating and worked with us to create our perfect event.
Timber Ridge was far and away my first choice for my wedding. I am a regular skier at Keystone and knew even before my engagement that I wanted to get married at Timber Ridge. I had a walkthrough with Brian that went very well and was confident in my decision. Sadly during the contracting process things fell apart. I was given a deadline to sign the contract that was reasonable to both parties. Upon reading the contract I was dismayed to see a clause in the contract stating that if the Gondola becomes inoperable then Keystone may cancel / postpone my wedding at their discretion. When I brought this up with my salesperson they said that in such a case an alternative venue will be supplied. This was acceptable and I asked for the contract to be amended to include this alternative. Fast forward a week and I was informed that the contract would not be amended and I would have to sign as is. In addition my deadline for signature was a week earlier than additionally agreed upon. Sadly I had to pass and find a different venue. In short the venue is lovely but there are serious issues with the contractual process so be careful.
Thank you and all of the staff again at Keystone and Ski Tip for such a PERFECT day. It truly was a wonderful and memorable experience for us and our guests!
As for key highlights, every part of the reception seemed as if it were a highlight! We couldn't have been happier with the EXCELLENT food and drinks, service and staff (So very helpful and accommodating with any thing my guests needed and helping us to see through the change in weather so quickly). Also, the presentation overall was just perfect, from start to finish!! The help of the staff assisting with keeping an organized timeline was very much appreciated as well. We had asked to extend our reception by 1 hour, and the staff also made sure to accommodate that. In addition, helping us to organize shuttle buses, gondola rides, and allowing us to drop off added decor before our event was so helpful. How wonderful !! I would definitely recommend having your perfect day at Ski Tip !
The Ski Tip Lodge was the perfect venue for our wedding. Honestly, anything I write in this review would not do justice to how much I recommend the Ski Tip Lodge for future brides and grooms.
The staff was incredibly prepared, helpful, professional and went above and beyond to make our wedding unique. For instance, they allowed our puppy to be part of the ceremony, they passed out CO craft beer during the ceremony, and they let my Uncle jam out on the old piano. Most importantly, they made sure that the ceremony matched our personalities.
I also want to take a moment to discuss the incredible food. Our guests raved about the appetizers and dinner, and the bar was well-stocked and free flowing. The cake was also superb (both in taste and decoration!)
All-in-all, we had the best time of our lives and a large part of that experience came from the hardworking people at Ski Tip Lodge. Thank you so much for that experience.
Our wedding at Keystone Ranch was the best day ever! Every aspect of our day was perfect thanks to the team at Keystone Resort. From the planning stages to the cake tasting to the day itself, we always felt well taken care of by the team. Our wedding was a destination wedding for most of our guests and they cannot stop raving about what an amazing day it was! Keystone Ranch is a GORGEOUS venue and the quality of the food and the service were second to none. I keep hearing from our guests how amazing the food was - every steak was perfectly cooked to medium-rare and service was quick and timely without feeling rushed. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!
My Keystone Wedding Experience
From start to finish our experience with Keystone for our wedding was world class. We have nothing but positive things to share about all of the Keystone staff, the venue, the food and atmosphere. I am an Army nurse and was stationed apart from my fiancée David (now husband) for two years. Once I finally received word that I would be stationed closer to home we decided we wanted to get married at Keystone. We selected the date of 6-13-2015 (opening weekend of the mountain) and were so excited to start planning. My mother, Michelle and I flew out to Colorado opening weekend June 2014 to start planning and check everything out. Angela Casper, the Wedding and Social Sales Manager at Keystone made us feel right at home! She answered all of our questions, and truly went above and beyond on our site tours, and showing us all of the properties on Keystone so we would know what to recommend to the wedding guests. Brian, the GM of the Alpenglow Stube was also very helpful and friendly during our site tour and we were reassured that our experience would be a great one!
Fast forward to March 2015, when David and I took a weekend trip to Colorado for our details meeting, cake tasting and meal tasting. David was blown away by the professionalism and organization of Keystone Weddings. Our cake tasting with Chef Ned was out of this world. We have nothing but great things to say about Chef Ned. He greeted us with mimosas and truly took the time to get to know us. We found out that he too is a dog lover and we instantly knew he would make us our dream cake. --Which he did, and so much more! Chef Ned made our wedding cake and a grooms cake which both exceeded our expectations and will be remembered for the rest of our lives.
Our actual wedding weekend from start to finish went without a hitch. Angela even personally delivered two suits to the house my parents rented the day before the wedding due to them having to be overnighted. Keystone Golf put on a spectacular Men’s Golf Tournament for David and his friends the day before the wedding. A special thank you to Philip Tobias for all of his hard work.
Thank you to Keystone Spa and Michelle Flynn for organizing a relaxing day before the wedding for all of the girls! It was much needed and so peaceful!
I can say without a doubt our wedding day was the best day of our lives. It happened to hail, rain and even snow a little on top of the mountain the day of - but that did not matter. You would never know! Angela and Brian kept everything running smoothly and we were still able to have a perfect outdoor ceremony.
The reception was so much fun. The bar staff had our signature drinks on point and kept them flowing to all of our wedding guests. The dinner service was immaculate. The food being the best we have ever tasted. We have received endless comments from our wedding guests about how the food and service was of the best they have ever experienced.
It speaks volumes when guest after guest told both David and myself how this was hands down the best wedding they have ever been too. I can say that we agree too. We owe our amazing wedding day to all of the staff at Keystone. Without your superior service, dedication and hard work our dream day wouldn’t have been possible.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for memories that will last us and our guests for a lifetime.
With love,
Holly & David Weaver
Keystone Resort was an amazing venue to have our wedding! We got married at the top of the mountain on Anticipation ski run and had our amazing reception at Timber Ridge Lodge, the views were spectacular!! The staff at Keystone made the experience amazing for the wedding party and all of our guests. The venue is full of people experienced with weddings and they were always helping us make our day unforgettable! The food was wonderful, we had many positive comments from our guests! Chef Ned made us the cake of our dreams, it was delicious! Words can't even begin to describe the amazing time my husband and I had on our wedding day, and we give a lot of credit to the amazing staff at Keystone Resorts!
My husband and I met while working at Keystone. We no longer work there but we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. And we are so happy we did!
Our ceremony was at the KeyTop Overlook and our reception at the Alpenglow Stube. It was the perfect setting for a sophisticated mountain top wedding.
The catering managers were amazing throughout the process. Very responsive and on top of everything. They know that resort inside and out and will set your day up for success. They have great planning tools and are always there for questions.
The food was amazing! Our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! I think that's such great feedback since sometimes you never know what you will get at a wedding. People were so pleased with the dinner.
Our bartender was amazing! Our guests raved at how well he handled all of our drinks throughout the night.
Our cake was ridiculous!! Ned is the best pastry chef I have ever met. His skills and creativity with flavors was great. He let us get creative as well which really made our cake truly unique and about us.
Our day went better than expected due to this great venue. They were a pleasure to work with. Our wedding day was above and beyond our expectations.
I highly recommend Keystone Resort for your wedding!
I always wanted to get married on top of a mountain and Keystone gave me this dream and more. Although we live in CO most of our guests were from out of state making our wedding much closer to a destination wedding and Keystone made this process so easy for us!
From arranging CME from the airport to the variety of discounts on property lodging we had very little organizing to do to accommodate our guests. We were able to arrange our rehearsal dinner at Keystone Ranch, golf outing, bridesmaid luncheon, pre-wedding drinks and wedding itself all on property and easily accessible.
Chef Ned (pastry chef) created two AMAZING cakes for us and did all of the desserts for our rehearsal dinner and people are still talking about how delicious they were, not to mention stunningly beautiful.
Day of, everyone was truly amazing at the Timber Ridge venue. It was raining on and off and would have given everyone reason to be tense but they were calm and allowed me to make a decision for in/out ceremony as close to time as possible. The entire staff made the evening run seamlessly and we couldn't have asked for more!
You never know what wedding food is going to be like when made in masses but ALL of our entrees (we had a beef, chicken and veggie option) were delicious. In addition, our guests are still talking about the crab cakes and bacon wrapped scallops so we recommend those choices for your cocktail hour!
Yes, this is a relatively expensive venue but it was well worth EVERY penny for us and I strongly recommend Keystone and specifically the Timber Ridge Lodge!
Timber Ridge at Keystone Resort was the absolute perfect location for our mountain top wedding. Words truly can not adequately describe how amazing the views are. The gondola ride up (actually two gondolas!) was truly a treat for all those from both in state and out of state. Leading up to the event the staff was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable with everything that was happening. I knew that I didn't have anything to worry about on my wedding day. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and I could not possibly love the location anymore. A few tips: * The only location Timber Ridge has for women to get dressed is a bathroom. This doesn't make for very pretty pictures. I recommend getting dressed at the bottom of the mountain and taking the gondola in your dress (they are clean!). Photos at the top of the first gondola aren't to be missed!
Although our wedding was amazing, I just have to say if any problems come up, don't be quiet about them.
My husband and I love the mountains and that is why we moved to Colorado. The only thing we love more than the mountains is each other. So we knew from the moment we got engaged we wanted a mountain wedding, but we weren't set on a venue. If you are in that boat, I can make it really easy for you, choose KEYSTONE!! Alicia Hein is the coordinator and she is amazing. If you have any questions, concerns, ideas she will not only get back to you instantly, but if your request can be accommodated it will be! From start to finish it is pure elegance and you will feel like a princess! Cake- chef Ned, you literally get to try every kind of cake, see every topping choice and create your dream cake on the inside and out. Oh and drink my mimosas while doing it! (I have no fellow brides who got an experience like this, but none of them got married at keystone) My guests agreed our cake was the best they ever had and it even had our dogs drawn on the outside!
Food- 5 star dining to the ultimate!! There is nothing to complain about on this end.
Staff- concerned about weather ruining your big day? Don't be, they will work through anything Mother Nature throws without stressing you at all!
Venue- we got married on the top of dercum mountain, simply breathtaking. Our reception was alpenglow stube, we had a smaller wedding and it was the perfect size. If you want to celebrate with your friends and family in an intimate, elegant, rustic winter cabin setting, choose the Stube.
If I could do it all again, I would and I would not change a SINGLE thing. I would recommend getting married at keystone to ANYONE from the laid back bride to the full on bridezilla!
If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL mountain-top ceremony/reception venue and a fun place for all your guests to stay (River Run Condos), I highly suggest checking out Timber Ridge in Keystone. Our out of town guests were blown away and everyone had so much fun. All food, drinks, cake, gondola rides, "site manager" (who really helped as much as our wedding planner) are included in the cost (starting at $125/person) We thought it was well worth it!
We had our wedding ceremony outside Summit House on the top of Keystone Mountain, it was gorgeous!! We couldn't have asked for a better spot. It is a little pricey
We had a destination wedding at Keystone Resort on August 12. Our guests stayed at the resort the entire weekend and had an absolute blast. The ceremony site was at Timber Ridge and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue or staff. Keystone gives the perfect wedding.
Keystone Resorts gave me thr wedding of my dreams. The precoordination covered everything, and the day itself went off without a hitch. Multiple guests told me it was the most beautiful wedding setting they had ever seen.
I had my wedding at Keystone Ranch. My wedding coordinator Emily did a great job. Everything was PERFECT. Keystone provides all the catering, drinks and the cake. My guests loved the food and the cake was amazing!
Keystone Resort is a beautiful place for a wedding. The food far exceeded our expectations and the customer service was excellent- they were a joy to work with! We could not have asked for a better experience with our wedding venue!
The location is beautiful and the food was wonderful. The baker is awesome. The only thing I could complain about is all the hidden costs and extra fees. The gondola fees, forest fees, etc all add up making it cost more than you'd like.
We could not have been happier with the venue, the service, the food and the accomodations at Keystone.
First, Timber Ridge is absolutely beautiful. The gonodla ride there is spectacular and the views from the deck are breathtaking.
The food at the reception was absolutely delicious. Ned, the head pastry chef, did a fantastic job with our beautiful ceremonial cake and the outstanding dessert buffet which a complete hit!
The staff was impeccable. They were attentive and so helpful. Rachael, was on myself and my bridesmaids from the moment we arrived at Timber Ridge, offering us drinks, snacks and anything else we might need. After the ceremony and during our pictures, she hand delivered hors douevres to us. Timber Ridge customized as much as we wanted customized for our big day and we truely could not have dreamt of a more perfect wedding.
Keystone Resort as a whole was a perfect place to have a wedding. The village is so conveniently set up for all our guests to stay in close proximity, never truely needing a car to go anywhere else. There are tons of shops and places to eat in the village and of course a wide array of activities to do. From mountain biking, to hiking, to taking a boat ride in Keystone Lake, it was an adventurous and more than perfect weekend!
