We hired Upon A Start Events in 2019 for our wedding! After seeing their team execute so many amazing weddings and events in the Boston and surrounding areas we knew they would do a great job. Lis had the creativity we were lacking and she brought such a fun, amazing energy to our planning! She quickly caught on to our style and continuously came up with new, exciting ideas that we loved! When COVID-19 hit, Lis seamlessly moved our wedding date to 2021. She advocated for us better than we would have ourselves to make sure that our day was the most special. We certainly would not have been able to secure a wedding date in 2021 with ALL of our same vendors if it weren't for Lis. She is truly amazing and was always there for a phone call of meeting whenever we needed it. She planned a stunning bridal shower full of surprises!!! At our rehearsal event, all of our guests complimented us on the Upon A Star staff! They were beautifully dressed, professional, and on top of EVERY minute of our event. Lis was always one step ahead of us - even our guests commented on how she somehow was the last person out of the rehearsal at the chapel and the first to the rehearsal event. The day of the wedding was so seamless because of the Upon A Star staff who dropped off welcome bags to our guests at multiple hotels, checked in at the venue to ensure vendors were arriving and setting up as planned, then back in with the bridal party to ensure everyone had what they needed. If you are looking to avoid last minute stressors Upon A Start Events is the way to do it!!! Lis was there at times I didn't even know I was going to need her... like when my mom and MOH headed off to the ceremony in separate transportation and I was walking to meet my dad. Lis was with me so I wasn't alone! At the reception in the midst of all the fun and commotion Lis was there to bustle my dress when I couldn't find my mom or MOH. Every day of our special weekend was flawless thanks to Upon A Star Events and it continues to be amazing post wedding with all of the surprises we have received!! You will NOT be disappointed with Upon A Star Events! I would rebook for another event in a heartbeat!

Elisabeth was a blessing amongst the horrors of 2020. We hired her to help postpone my Sister's wedding when Covid restrictions prevented half of the guest list (the groom is from australia) from coming to the new 2021 date. She was a flawless contributor, successfully got the venue on board for a 2022 date and moved all of the contracts and vendors. She was organized, thoughtful and led every conversation towards a productive solution. She is the BEST would recommend her to anyone looking for an all-star planner.

Working with Lis is a dream. Not only is she knowledgeable about her craft, but she makes it so we didn't have to sweat anything for our big day! Our reception was done DIY style, and really it all came together because of Upon a Star Events. On the morning of the wedding, instead of making sure all our stuff was together and where it should be, she had it covered, leaving us to enjoy the morning with our respective wedding parties! Couldn't have had such a successful day without her!!

Upon a Star created the perfect bridal shower for my daughter! It was perfectly designed and seamlessly executed. They were a delight to work with, extremely organized, and always available for efficient communications. The day was elegant, fun, and flawless. My bride-to-be couldn't have been happier and neither could I!!

Elisabeth helped plan my daughter’s wedding in June. Elisabeth is one of the most creative, energetic and generous people I have ever met. She knew my daughter’s vision of the look and feel of the wedding, and put the wheels in motion to make it perfect. She is an endless fountain of resources, knowing great creative people who could do what we wanted, and where to get specialty items. She worked so well with our various vendors; not only to coordinate ideas about the vision of the day, but to work on the nuts and bolts details, like the right number of electrical outlets the band needed to set up. No detail is too big or too small for her to handle. Her organizational skills are superior; keeping us on top of things and when they needed to be done, and creating timelines leading up to the wedding day for us and for our vendors; all the things that made the day go as smoothly as it did. Elisabeth is truly a special person, and the management, creative ideas, enthusiasm and boundless energy she brings to an event are extraordinary. She is simply the best.
