Sly 45

Sly 45 was so much fun, and such incredible performers! My husband and I were very set on having a live band, and Sly 45 fit everything we were looking for. Andrew and Wylie were so helpful to work with, answering all our questions, providing guidance on our timeline, and filling in seamlessly where were unsure on selections. When our wedding was delayed due to Covid, they were flexible on rebooking, and able to accommodate us adding a ceremony service last minute, which we originally did not have booked. And most importantly, they are incredible musicians! Everyone was dancing all night and had the best time!! Could not recommend them more highly :)

Sly 45 is the band that you have dreamed of at your wedding!!! We could not have had a better experience with a music vendor - not only do they have incredible skill, but Andrew & Wiley were easy to communicate with, fun, flexible, helpful with planning and made it easy to personalize the music! They are true professionals and seriously had EVERYONE on the dance floor ( of all ages!!! ). The music selection is large and perfect to what you want played at a wedding!! Andrew makes an amazing MC - which made our reception a breeze and entertaining!! Special shout-out to the saxophonist - UNREAL! You need the sax!!!!! Hands down. Everyone said how amazing our wedding band was.. every member of the band!! People were dancing all night long! Also - the band learned a song for our first dance but I had specifically wanted it more acoustic and slowed down - and it was beyond my expectations!!! Sly 45 really made our wedding day so memorable and so special.

Sly 45 rocked it at our wedding!!! It's almost a week after our wedding, and people are still talking about it! Our engaged friends loved them so much, they called them the very next day to inquire booking them for their wedding. We utilized them for reception only - we did a 4.5 hour service with 5 band members (saxophone added). The sax was the best touch!! They brought their own lighting and did all the MC for the night. They were also very organized leading up to the wedding. Easily reachable via phone or email. They sent us a google doc timeline about a month before the wedding which included everything, from the introductions, to the first dance songs, to the preferred songs we wanted them to play. They will DJ any song you want, and if a song you really want is not on their song list already, you have the option of asking them to learn two new songs, which I thought was really neat. We absolutely loved the versions of the songs we asked them to learn. Even though we had 175 guests to say hello to, I never wanted to stop dancing, they were just that good! We are so happy we booked Sly 45 as our wedding band, something we will never forget!!

Where do I start?! Sly 45 makes a difference. It's a long story, but our original venue closed less than 2 months before our wedding and we had to reschedule, re-plan, etc. We were supposed to get married in October and ended up booking a new venue for February. One of our main factors was making sure all of our vendors were available for whatever new date we chose - Sly 45 was non-negotiable - we were NOT losing them because of the venue mess. While I'm sure most people won't deal with the things we dealt with, SHOULD you have any craziness in planning, just know that Sly 45 has got your back!! When I told Andrew what was going on, via phone, one of the first things he said was - "Listen, wherever you re-plan for, whatever the situation ends up being, I'm telling you that we will make sure it is the absolute best night for everyone" -- and he wasn't just being a salesman! When we finally re-planned and went to meet Andrew to go over the final contract, as well as choose songs for certain parts of the day, we brought some drinks and sat in his kitchen with him for 2 hours - then ended up continuing the night at a pizza place nearby and learning that not only did we make a great decision for our wedding, but also that Andrew is a great guy! When the reception first started, Andrew welcomed everyone to the night and added a very sincere and personal touch about our wedding planning chaos - asked for a round of applause for ALL the vendors for being flexible for us, and just started the night on such a good note about being genuinely happy for us that everything worked out. I just saw everyone in the room light up that this "stranger" understood and was there to make sure we had a great time. As for their ACTUAL job, not just how awesome they are as people - the band KILLED it all night. I got to chat briefly with a few of them when they had a food break and I just felt like they were so happy to be there, and having a good time themselves. These guys are so talented and kept everyone's excitement up all night. We have received so many compliments from the biggest variety of guests, and when my parents visited us in Baltimore last weekend, they looked up Sly 45's schedule to see if we could find them anywhere! My mom and her friends/generation from Philly all said they were so used to DJs and dance music, they were wondering if they would end up knowing any of the music or wanting to dance to it - but Sly 45 plays such a variety and does their job so well, every person of every age was dancing all night. (I'm talking my 2, 3, 5, 10 and 12 year old nieces and nephews, up to my 84 year old grandmother.) I can't thank them enough for being a part of our wedding, and flexible enough to go through the "re-planning" with us. (I really mean it, too, Andrew actually helped us put together our timeline for the whole reception!) If you are looking for a way to ensure all guests are on the dance floor all night, stop your searching, you've found it!!

If you are looking for a band to play your wedding, look no further than Sly45. The guys were INCREDIBLE to work with and had the entire wedding of 200 people up and dancing the entire night. Prior to the wedding, Andrew and Wylie were very easy to work with and extremely organized. They are exceptionally talented musicians and have a great feel for the audience they are performing for. Truthfully, we hired them before hearing them play live and not to be overly dramatic, it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. If you’re looking for a band, skip the dime a dozen wedding factory bands and go with Sly45 - you and your guests will have an absolute blast!

Seriously, look no further! Sly 45 is an incredible band and Andrew was an amazing MC - super professional and the exact right kind of humor. Even at my Sunday daytime wedding they got everyone on the dance floor and I can't even count the number of compliments they received. Sly 45 was the best decision I made in my wedding planning (and al my other decisions were pretty darn good). I really cannot thank them enough for making the day so fun!

Andrew was amazing to work with! Sly also has several shows all around town so they are accessible and easy to see so you know how they sound and perform together. They learn songs for you and truly go above and beyond!
