Social House Venue and Events

Wouldn’t recommend! They were so unprofessional. They threatened to cancel my wedding the day of because of a conversation they had with my mother (who did not pay for the venue my now husband and I did). I understand that my mother should have been more professional as a guest, but as a business they did not handle themselves well. They told my mother that she “is reason the world is such an awful place, because of people like her”. They also said we have “no idea what kind of stress they were under with their jobs” (I’m a registered nurse, I think I know a thing or two about stressful work environments). Secondly, rules constantly changed on what we could and could not do. I had many complaints from guest about the staff being rude. We got the venue at great price because we booked during the peak of the pandemic, and it felt like it they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible because we got a reduced price. Also I have never been to an event where the staff did not dress for the occasion. I apologized for my mother’s behavior but given that my mother again did not pay for the event, I think they could have handled themselves and the situation better
