My relationship with Soiree went on for over two years. When interviewing other planners, Soiree really stood out by asking a bunch of questions that included getting to know both my fiancé and I as well as our vision that we had for our wedding. It was an absolute no brainer deciding to move forward with them. It was at this time that Alaina became our start to finish planner for our wedding! I cannot say enough great things about Alaina. She is communicative, open-minded, listens to our needs, has great style, a good eye for attention to detail and is overall one of the kindest humans I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Throughout the planning process, she has listened to our needs, provided recommendations based on our styles and really helped us decide what areas we should splurge and save on based on our vision. My husband and I truly feel like our wedding would have never happened if it wasn't for Alaina. She has made the entire planning process so easy for us. When we ran into some last minute change emergencies one month before the wedding, she did not hesitate and immediately helped us remediate the situation. On our wedding day, we received SO MANY compliments on quite literally everything. The aesthetic, the stationary, the florals, the music, the drinks, photographer, you name it. None of this would have been possible without her. Our wedding dreams came true and my husband and I absolutely ADORED working with Alaina and her team. It was very bittersweet giving her a hug at the end of the night knowing our communication and relationship with her was going to slow down. I actually cried! If you are looking for a planner to help you with your wedding, please do not hesitate to work with Alaina and the rest of the Soiree team!

We had Alaina as our day-of-coordinator for our wedding and she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we first met, her calm demeanor and professionalism made us feel at ease. She went above and beyond all our expectations to make our wedding day run perfectly so we could sit back and enjoy our day stress-free. While she was just our day of coordinator, she still made herself available to us at any time to answer any questions, advice or help. She even met us to help choose our linens and give her professional opinion on what would look best. She was always quick to reply when we needed her and kept us on track for all our planning needs. Her communication with our venue and vendors was impeccable and she made sure everyone was confirmed and on time. She sent us our timeline for the wedding day down to the minute and even included a packing list for items we wouldn’t want to forget for the weekend. After our reception ended, my husband and I walked into our suite to find all of our items (cards/gifts, leftover cookies, personal items) placed neatly on the dining table. It’s the little things we didn’t even think to consider that Alaina took care of for us. We do not know what we would’ve done without her on our day; she was a saving grace! Alaina’s passion for her career truly shows. She is such a kind and thoughtful person and if we could hire her 100x over, we would! She deserves much more than 5 stars!

After interviewing several wedding planners around the area, my fiancé and I ended up choosing the full planning package with Alaina at Soirée by Souleret and we can honestly say that it was hands-down the best money we put towards our wedding. Alaina made the entire process of planning our wedding enjoyable and kept us on-track, from start to finish. We both work full time jobs and even lived out-of-state for the first year of planning. Alaina was happy to work around our crazy schedules to meet virtually (and in-person on the random weekends we were in town) to make sure that were able to lock in vendors in time in the months leading up to the wedding. In addition to knowing all of the best vendors in the area, Alaina has excellent taste and plenty of experience from past weddings that she provides for context. We're also super grateful for her day-of coordination. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of, the night was amazing, and we owe it all to Alaina's help and expertise along the way. My husband and I, along with our families, cannot say enough about the Soirée by Souleret team! We had an amazing experience working with Alaina! She made sure every detail of our wedding day was beautiful. The whole wedding planning process and the day of was absolutely seamless! Alaina made every step so easy and she was on top of everything. She was always steps ahead with planning, it was amazing!! She made our day absolutely beautiful, like seriously stunning, people still rave about it! On wedding day, it’s so nice as a bride to know that you don’t have to worry about a thing! I got to spend my morning with my girls, drinking mimosas and enjoying breakfast while getting hair and make up done, literally no worry in the world because I knew Alaina had everything under control. She is incredibly detail oriented and client focused. I also need to add that our wedding was in Chicago and Alaina was in Pittsburgh, you would have never known she was planning this wedding from miles away. It was literally perfect! We had the most incredible experience. So if you need a wedding planner whether in Pittsburgh or a destination wedding, you HAVE to stop right here. There is nobody better than this team!

Alaina was our wedding planner, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! she was 100% on the ball and our wedding was exactly what we envisioned and had hoped for on our big day. She is easy to work with, professional, detail-oriented, and accommodating. I am a perfectionist and was planning my wedding from across the country. I did a lot of research and reference-checking and feel that we REALLY lucked out with Alaina. All of her recommendations were on-point and the vendors we hired did an impeccable job and provided excellent customer service to ensure the day went as planned. She made the entire planning process easy and stress-free. Her work and level of service speaks for itself.

Where do I even BEGIN when talking about Alaina? She is the sole reason our wedding weekend was so perfect. I truly, truly mean that. We had a little hiccup with a previous wedding planner and needed HELP and FAST. Alaina greeted us with her calm and positive demeanor, and we instantly felt taken care of. We were planning our Pittsburgh wedding while living out of state. She was instrumental in helping us get all we needed done whether it was by her check-in emails with helpful to-do lists, or her always-available attitude where she answered every single question I had. I had a note in my phone called "Wedding Stress Dreams" where it was just a list of all the things that kept me up at night, picturing our day going wrong. (I have anxiety ha) Alaina calmed every fear and allowed me to take a much-needed deep breath. She is all class. Her professionalism knows no bounds. She is kind and she is passionate about making sure you have the best day of your life. She will take your vision, understand it, and EXECUTE. She will balance delicate family dynamics with empathy. She will print out an itinerary down to the minute of where everyone is supposed to be and when. She will communicate on your behalf to all of your vendors, making it so you don't have to lift a finger. She is full of fresh, fun, and beautiful ideas to enhance your day in a thoughtful way. She is an absolute professional who has such a gift and we are so grateful to her. If you're thinking about hiring a planner for the biggest day of your life. I say, DO IT and make sure you ask for Alaina.

Alaina and the SBS team literally made our dream wedding become a reality! Alaina was technically our "day of coordinator" but she was so helpful throughout our entire planning process and an incredible resource. I consider myself pretty organized and detail oriented but I was blown away that someone could care as much about every detail of my own wedding as much as I did, if not more. Alaina is professional, confident, genuine and her calm demeaner always made me feel at ease. My now husband and I can be indecisive but her expertise was always reassuring. She went above and beyond, checking in after every vendor call to make sure everything was going as we wanted and she even offered to pick up our late night snack for us on her way to the venue! Our wedding day could not have gone any smoother and I was so calm throughout the entire day knowing that I had her handling all of our vendors, timeline and making the space beautiful for our guests. I know how much work she put into making our wedding day perfect for us and I cannot be more thankful that we decided to work with Soiree by Souleret! I cannot say enough great things about Alaina, she is truly the best!

I would give Alaina more than 5 stars if I could. She technically helped us as a day of coordinator, but I felt completely connected to her throughout the almost 2 years of planning our wedding. Her calm demeanor, quick communication, eye for design, and general knowledge of the industry were so impressive. Not only is she an expert but she is the perfect vendor that treats you like family. She planned the logistics of our day perfectly, and was there with anything we needed at any time. Not only did she help us as the bride and groom, she was a text or phone call away for all of our family and bridal party too. I cannot recommend Alaina enough!

Put simply, our wedding would not have been possible without the incredible guidance and support from Alaina and her team. Spread out over two days with more than a dozen different vendors converging into our venue, Alaina worked with us from the start to understand and master every last detail within our operationally complex (and some would say overly ambitious!) wedding plan. To say that Alaina and her team's execution was perfect would be a gross understatement - the team went above and beyond to ensure that every component part of our wedding and party went off without a hitch, and when my wife and I overlooked key details in the run-up, Alaina and Co. provided astute and professional advice to take the entire affair up to new heights we never thought possible. Alaina's strong and enduring relationships with key vendors across the City of Pittsburgh was also on display daily and proved to be a tremendous asset. Alaina is the best! My family, new husband, and I cannot say anything but positive words for Alaina’s work ethic, personality, ability to juggle and coordinate vendors, share her insights/opinions, and most importantly the way she made me feel so calm and confident going into the wedding day and all throughout the day. We were married on a night where several streets were shut down in downtown Pittsburgh- a recipe for lots of traffic, street closures, and a live band right outside our venue! Alaina and her team took care of communication with our bus drivers and dj- we were so relaxed because we knew we were in such good hands. We had the best wedding day because of them. If you’re looking for someone who will more than impress and exceed your expectations, look no further!

There are not enough wonderful things to say about Alaina. We were lucky enough to have her and Phaedra come down to Dallas, TX for our big day. I truly wouldn’t have wanted any other day-of coordinator in the state of Texas (or any of the states in between PA and TX for that matter). Having a day-of coordinator was easily the best investment we made for our wedding day. From the start, I always appreciated Alaina’s overwhelmingly calm demeanor. Her attention to detail and organization skills put me at ease. When you hire Alaina, you’re going to get a true professional at her craft, but also someone who truly cares and will see it through that everything you wanted for your big day comes to life. From décor placement, to vinyl dancefloor logos, to vendor management, timeline, helping to assemble welcome bags, running rehearsal, or even seeing if I needed something to drink – she truly did it all. I can’t thank her enough for making every effort in making sure that my wedding day was stress-free. You don’t have to look any further for your wedding coordinator. When we began planning for our wedding my now husband was skeptical about whether or not we really needed a wedding planner... fast forward about a year later and he and I both agree that Alaina from Soiree by Souleret was hands down the best thing we spent money on for our wedding planning experience. Alaina gave us monthly updates on where we should be in our wedding planning progress. For things that we felt we had a good grasp on (like party favors), she let us take the lead For things we had no idea where to start with (like photographers and makeup artists) she asked questions to figure out exactly what we wanted and led us to our perfect match. For areas where we were completely lost (flowers and decorations), she not only pointed us in the right direction but was by our side for different meetings and interviews to help us make our visions come to life. On the day of the wedding, we were both able to stay as stress-free as possible because we knew our details, vision, and vendors were in good hands with great communication from Alaina. I can't tell you the number of friends and family that reiterated to us how amazing Alaina was throughout the night. I had a dress malfunction that she was on top of before I even noticed it was happening. She kept us and our vendors on schedule to make sure every detail was exactly as we dreamed it. It was so comforting to know she would be there to help with any little thing or detail throughout our night. We are about a week out from our wedding and Alaina has helped communicate with a few more vendors and tie up any loose ends. This company was incredibly professional, reasonably priced, and made the wedding process smooth sailing. We could not recommend Soiree by Souleret more.

My husband and I were married on 6/17/22. We are both working professionals and were planning a wedding without any help from family, so a full service planner was a must for us. My husband's sister recommended Alaina from Soiree by Souleret and we are so happy she did! Alaina is absolutely amazing, super knowledgeable, calm, and helpful. From start to finish Alaina made the wedding planning process so much easier, and friends and family all raved how our wedding was the best they've ever been to. This is all thanks to Alaina! She went above and beyond researching and visiting venues for us, because we were struggling to find one we liked. Her wild card recommendation was the one we ended up falling in love with. All of the vendors she recommended to us were all-stars. She really understood us as a couple and brought that to life in our wedding with different vendor, design, and idea proposals. She managed vendor communications, payment deadlines, and budgeting flawlessly, and kept us on track with our to-dos without overwhelming us. Alaina's biggest strength is her ability to problem solve and calm you down in any situation. There were a few stressful situations for us during planning, like rsvp numbers coming in a lot lower than expected, but Alaina always had a solid plan that made the best of the situation. After meeting with her, all our worries went away. The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect and beyond our expectations! Alaina made sure everything ran very smoothly and was there for us if we needed anything. She brought us food and water when we were getting ready, dealt with my constant messages about guests cancelling or attending last minute, and even helped clean up a glass one of our guests broke on the dance floor. If you are looking for a wedding planner to design your dream wedding from start to finish, you absolutely need to hire Alaina from Soiree by Souleret!!!

We were married on 4/30/22. We could not be happier to rave about Alaina on all available outlets!!! She is someone with a balance of strong experience in the field, connections, and a clear passion for making other peoples' dreams come true. She listened patiently to every crazy idea we ran by her and helped us to create the magical weekend we wanted. She even went way out of her way to incorporate some unusual/quirky surprises I wanted to make our reception unique and special. She did such an awesome job at creating a better experience than we could have hoped for and we loved working with her. She kept us on track from the moment we started working with her, bringing so many options that we didn't know existed to the table and constantly making herself available with her warm and enthusiastic attitude. She smoothed out so many potentially rough areas of communicating with the pastor, church, venue, and vendors, which was so appreciated because as working professionals with long hours my wife and I just did not have the time or energy to always catch and answer everything as it came up. I have no idea where she gets the energy to go through a whole weekend of festivities like ours, and yet she was still there at the end to keep everything whirring behind the scenes. As a side note, of the core vendors Alaina chose were a pleasure to work with as well. I know I had a blast with the DJs, videographers and photographer in particular. We will have to find ways to give them feedback as well.

Shayne and her team made wedding planning effortless. I felt no stress at all during the process or on the day of our wedding. Shayne was attentive, detail-oriented, and gave us vendors tailored to our style for every phase of the event. She has worked with many different florists, photographers, and other wedding vendors in Pittsburgh so she knew exactly who to recommend. She also had many stylistic additions to enhance the overall beauty and style of our event, some of which she provided for free or at low cost. Managing wedding planning, grad school, and a job at the same time was a breeze with Shayne’s help. If you are a bride in Pittsburgh, consider using Shayne and her team!

Going into wedding planning, I thought I could handle it on my own without a planner. However, by the time my package with Alaina at Soiree by Souleret kicked in, I was panicked and overwhelmed. Alaina fixed it all. She is detail oriented, a great problem solver, and also just a nice human. Not only did she keep me on track in my planning process, she took tasks off my to-do list for me when I had too much to handle. Alaina's efforts pre-wedding would have made it worth it alone. But then on the actual day of my wedding, she was a LIFE SAVER. Booking Soiree by Souleret for day-of-coordination was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding! Alaina went above and beyond to make sure that before, during and after the day ran smoothly! If anything went wrong, I had no idea and could just focus on having fun and being with my friends, family and groom! I cannot thank her enough for all of the communication and advice she gave. We had multiple vendors and she ensured everyone knew exactly what they were doing to help bring our whole vision to life! I recently used Soirée by Souleret to plan a virtual baby shower for my daughter. I was frantic when COVID kept us from celebrating in person as I am not computer savvy. Shayne was unquestionably the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. We lived out of town and didn't have family in Pittsburgh to help us, so our wedding at the Pittsburgh Opera wouldn't have been possible without Shayne's organization and advice on everything venue and vendor-related. Beyond that, though, Shayne just gave us a peace of mind that was absolutely invaluable. I would never ever delegate work on something as important as my wedding to anyone unless I trusted them completely, and we never questioned Shayne. Without Shayne, our wedding would not have been possible. Not only was she the key, she made it beautiful, fabulous, magical, stress-free, and FUN! She had a plan for everything that we didn't even know to anticipate. She is super organized, responsive, and a gentle guide through all the big decision making. She recommended vendors - and her recommendations were always spot on, tailored to our budget, our style, and our priorities. In the planning process, she told us when we needed to book certain vendors and make decisions - which I appreciated SO much, as I didn't have to worry about what to do when. As we got closer to the actual wedding and on the wedding day, she took care of everything - reconfirming with vendors, keeping us and all the vendors on schedule, fixing my bustle, modifying on the fly when we wanted a little more time to greet guests, keeping track of all the food allergies and vendor meals and tips, etc etc etc. I'm sure she did things we don't even know she did! Throughout it all, she was calm, patient, and a joy to spend time with. 11 out of 10 stars!

Shayne is the ABSOLUTE BEST! As the Mother of the Groom, I had many interactions with Shayne during the 13 month planning and throughout the day of the wedding. Without fail, Shayne was ALWAYS calm, organized, very professional, yet personable. She is patient and soft spoken, yet she deals with any situation assertively and effectively. You can trust Shayne--She follows through and her recommendations for vendors are excellent! Shayne is very respectful of budget and she never pressured either the parents, or the bride and groom to spend additional money. Instead, she worked to find solutions within the budget. She is amazingly knowledgable and organized which eliminates stress for the couple and parents. Because of Shayne's competence and ability to handle all the moving parts and details, the day of the wedding was stress free and fun for us parents. Shayne handled everything from emergency sewing repairs to an unexpected reception guest, making it all seem so easy and seamless. My husband and I felt no stress, only joy and happiness. I am sincerely grateful to Shayne, for taking care of things so that we could focus on the purpose of the day. I was initially skeptical of the need for a wedding planner, however, Shayne was worth every penny spent for her services and professional expertise! She actually saved us money! We have already decided that when our daughter gets married, we will work with Shayne again. I cannot imagine having a wedding without her! Shayne has been a joy to work with in every way!

Shayne was the best decision we made when planning our wedding! We were planning an out of state wedding in Pittsburgh while both my husband and I were working full time jobs. Shayne was involved and kept us organized but was never in the way. She helped us with scheduling, budgeting, finding vendors, design ideas, printing programs, centerpiece details, and more. She came to the food tasting with us, and when we couldn't meet the florist in person, she set up a video conference with them and took photos of all their mock ups. She was also very responsive to email and phone messages. The day of the wedding she was on top of everything and our wedding day ran AHEAD of schedule! I couldn't believe it! There are so many details we would have missed and so much more stress we would have had planning if Shayne wasn't there.

I can never say enough wonderful things about Shayne. From Day 1, we felt such a huge relief knowing that she was on our team. Being a bride living 6 hours from our wedding city and working over 60 hours a week, the thought of searching for vendors, having meetings, making selections, etc. felt very daunting. Shayne was an excellent resource, assessing what I knew (and didn't know!) I wanted and helped me make all of those important decisions. As the big day came closer, I felt very at ease knowing that the Day-Of schedule and every minor detail would be taken care of. You should see how impressive Shayne's listing and organization systems are!! On top of all of that, Shayne treated us like real friends. She shared my excitement the day I found my dress, when flowers were selected and made me feel like every idea I had was important and worth pursuing for the big day. As many brides experience, I have some post-wedding blues and part of that is because I know I don't get to work with Shayne every day now and miss her! If you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further. Shayne and Soiree by Souleret deserves 500 out of 5 stars.

Hiring a wedding planner is an investment and just like any investment you expect/want to see a return on that investment. Working with Shayne from Soiree by Souleret provided us such a huge positive return it will be near impossible to convey all of it in a simple review. We hired Shayne a little over a year ago as we began to plan our daughter’s wedding. We had never really considered hiring a wedding planner because we assumed, just like most people I am sure, we could do it all ourselves. BUT what if you had the opportunity to plan your wedding and then sit back and watch it all unfold. After our initial meeting with Shayne my daughter and I knew immediately that we had to hire her. As the year went on and the planning continued Shayne introduced us to the most incredibly talented wedding vendors in the city of Pittsburgh. She has connections in every corner of the wedding market and because she is so well respected these vendors went above and beyond for us. Shayne took care of all of the communication with the vendors, offered us multiple options for design ideas and always worked towards the best deals and savings, all the while seeing that our vision was at the forefront. Shayne takes meticulous notes and provides you with a detailed budget truly allowing you to always know where you stand with your budget. She provides ideas of how best to make your vision come to life within your limits. Once the planning was over and the wedding day arrived we literally sat back and enjoyed the day. There was no running around doing last minute details because Shayne and her team take care of everything. We always knew hiring Soiree by Souleret was the best decision we had made through the wedding planning process but as the wedding day unfolded and countless friends and family began to rave about the wedding we knew we were seeing a return on our investment. Now, a month after the wedding, we continue to get messages from people who attended the wedding telling us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Thank you Shayne for being the consummate professional, fierce business owner and one of the nicest people we have ever met.

I can’t put into words how much I appreciate everything Shayne and her team have done to create my dream bridal shower and then dream wedding. Everything was absolutely just perfect for both! My husband and I, along with our friends and family, cannot stop talking about it. It was everything I could have ever imagined and more! She planned a wedding that was held at our venue and she immediately became our favorite. The couple that was getting married was from out of town so she basically planned everything. Shayne was a blessing to work with while planning our wedding at the Pennsylvanian in Pittsburgh. The venue is literally just an empty room with a list of suggested vendors on the website, so there are innumerable moving parts to ensure that the day is a success. Neither me nor my wife lived in Pittsburgh which made hosting an event in this space much more challenging! However, Shayne made it all possible. She met and managed our vendors with ease and professionalism when we could not, took them to the venue for run-throughs, and all around was great to work with. She is highly organized and even though we only booked her a day of she was available to us for all types of questions/concerns well before the event. I honestly felt her hard-work was above and beyond so we made sure to compensate her with extra gratuity. All in all, Shayne was great to work with and made what was an extremely stressful process much more manageable. Thank you Shayne again !

If I could give Shayne 10 stars I would cuz she totally deserves it! I was a busy medical student interviewing for residency and planning a wedding from a far. Planning the perfect Pittsburgh wedding was overwhelming ... I had no clue where to even start! Shayne made the whole process easy and fun! She helped with absolutely everything from helping us to hone our theme and plan our budget to selecting the perfect downtown venue and negotiating all our contracts! Our venue was a blank slate and Shayne helped us to plan and organize all the details to truly bring the space to life! She also helped us plan our ceremony, ran our rehearsal, and was in charge of all the day of preparation, set up and coordination all the way down to cueing my walk down the aisle and clean up at the end of the night. My wife and I had our wedding in September, and we had Shayne as our wedding planner. From the very first meeting we were impressed with her knowledge and organization. She gave us a checklist of things to complete each month, making preparation more manageable and keeping us on track. She was readily available whenever we needed her, and took initiative to get in touch with all of our vendors to make sure everything we had hoped for was ready to go on the big day. On the day of the wedding, her preparation really shined. My rented tuxedo started to fall apart, and she had her emergency kit there to pin and stitch me back together. What would we have done without Shayne?!?! She was absolutely phenomenal through every step of our wedding. We had to plan our wedding from a different state and, if we didn’t have Shayne I would have lost my mind. Shayne was hands-down the best decision that my husband and I made when planning our wedding. We currently live in Boston, and were planning our Pittsburgh wedding long-distance (both of our families are from the Pittsburgh area). I literally cannot say enough positive things about Shayne and her business Soiree by Souleret! I could not have asked for a better wedding planner, and I literally don't know what I would have done without Shayne (aside from go crazy). My husband and I got married in July 2016 at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh. We met with a few different wedding planners, but I could tell right away when we met Shayne that she was a perfect fit for us. She is a total delight to work with - always pleasant and calm and just generally awesome! It was really important for me to stay within my budget, but throw the absolute best party we possibly could within that budget, and Shayne made that happen for us and was completely respectful of sticking to our budget throughout the entire process. Shayne made what was a very daunting task of planning a wedding as painless as it could possibly be. She was extremely organized, and gave us discrete tasks to complete every month or so to make sure that we were able to stay on track without getting overwhelmed. I have to give Shayne a lot of credit for managing to deal with a lot of "challenging" personalities throughout the process of planning our wedding, always with a smile on her face. Our wedding day turned out absolutely perfect from start to finish, which is 100% due to having Shayne as our planner and having Shanye there with us at both our Welcome Party and our wedding to make sure everything went smoothly. Shayne is simply the best! Soiree by Souleret was one of our first phone calls after my husband and I got engaged, and it was absolutely the right call to make. My husband and I feel very fortunate to have worked with Shayne in the planning and execution of our daughter’s wedding, which took place at the Farm at Eagle’s Ridge in Lancaster, PA. This is a magnificent event site---but every vendor has to be chosen from off-site, and their deliveries and activities coordinated for the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding day prep, wedding ceremony, hotels, music, transportation, plus the full reception and after party. Not an easy thing to do—and Shayne was the hub of the wheel around which we all (bride, groom, MOB, DOB) spun both in the 18-month long planning process and in the actual execution of the wedding weekend. Throughout the entire thing, she was exceptionally organized and professional—but also warm and personal. We never felt like we were rushed into any decisions about caterers, decorators, florists, or any of the other dozens of vendors who were involved. She was patient with, and responsive to our emails, (and there were LOTS of them) and her event planning experience and excellent communication skills helped us to quickly narrow our focus and define our goals when faced with so many viable options. It’s been almost 2 weeks since the BIG DAY, and we’re still receiving rave reviews from family members and guests about the beauty, fluidity, and careful organization of the entire ceremony and reception. Not only that, but everyone said they had a blast!! Having never been through this process before (i.e. being parents of the bride), my husband and I expected it to go well, but we could not have predicted how splendidly the whole thing ran—and how much genuine FUN we ourselves would have had. Much of the credit for that goes to Shayne: she kept us moving forward through each planning stage and then took on the role of “Command Central” on the wedding day. Shayne and her crew are fantastic. We hired her because I knew her through a mutual friend, and her creativity and planning skills were evident in weddings we had been to before! Immediately after getting engaged I was inundated with vendors suggestions, countdowns, timelines, etc. and it was overwhelming. And knowing myself, I realized that I wouldn't be able to keep myself calm and organized without help, therefore hiring a planner wasn't even a question for me. Our wedding was at the Pittsburgh Opera House, where you have to bring in everything. Shayne worked within our budget to suggest vendors that were affordable yet fantastic. Every single one of the vendors she recommended did an excellent job. Another perk is that many vendors give a discount for going through a planner. Shayne used Google docs to keep a budget spreadsheet that we could both update, she sent monthly emails in regards to what was next on the to-do list, and gave guidance when necessary (which was often!). The wedding guideline that she created for us was impressive- full listing of all vendors, contact info, packing list, and hour by hour details for the wedding weekend. Shayne and her staff were so helpful the day of- they really kept things running smoothly. They completely flipped the Opera House from ceremony to reception décor while the guests were in the next room for cocktail hour. Finally, Shayne is certainly dedicated to her job- she did the majority of the work while pregnant, and was at our wedding only a few weeks after having her baby- she didn't miss a beat! Yes, hiring a planner is yet another expense to add to the list, but honestly well worth it for the sanity it saves you (and everyone around you!), the organization, and advice. And you can't go wrong with Soiree by Souleret!

We worked with Shayne over the course of two years to prepare for our wedding. We spent time with the her in coffee shops, visiting with vendors, over the phone, and at all times she was able to meet at a time and place that worked for us. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shayne! I booked her as the day-of coordinator for my wedding, and my only regret is that I did not use her as my full-on wedding planner. She is absolutely amazing at what she does -- I knew from the moment I spoke to her on the phone that she would be awesome to work with and she did not disappoint! Leading up to my wedding, Shayne checked in with me monthly and sent me check lists to make sure that I was on track with my planning. We also had multiple phone calls and an in-person meeting before the wedding, of all of which was so helpful. Truthfully, I think Shayne went above and beyond what she needed to considering that I had hired her for day-of and not the full wedding planning package. For example, I emailed her countless times to ask her random questions or get vendor recommendations and she was always more than happy to help. Every suggestion or recommendation that I followed from her ended up being spot on. I booked most of my vendors based on recommendations from Shayne and they were all wonderful. The day of the wedding, Shayne handled absolutely everything. I felt so at ease knowing she was there -- I am sure there are things that went wrong behind the scenes, but as far as I know, everything was perfect, and if anything did go wrong, Shayne handled it without me knowing any different. Throughout the night, she would quietly let me know when it was time to cut the cake or toss the bouquet -- it was so helpful to have someone there to make sure everything stayed on track. Book her now while you can! I have no doubt that soon she will be booked for years in advance and charging triple what she does now, because she is just that great. I would recommend Shayne to anyone looking for a wedding planner - she is simply the best!

Shayne was absolutely AMAZING! She is not only very organized and reliable, but also a really nice person and a blast to work with. She follows through with what she says she'll do. She has a great artistic eye and really tries to envision what you want. She did all the planning for a year leading up to the wedding and then was there Friday for the rehearsal dinner and all day Saturday until midnight. I strongly endorse Shayne Souleret for her talent, vision and work ethic exhibited while planning my daughter Kaitlin’s wedding. A barn wedding may be a popular venue in this day and age, but it was a new concept for me. I was wary of how someone could successfully turn animal’s living space into a romantic, formal setting fit to serve 200 guests. Kaitlin assured me Shayne had the talent to do just that. So Kaitlin selected a barn venue, but due to unexpected zoning issues, needed to select another venue just six months prior to the wedding. This was a stressful situation for the family but by week’s end Shayne had new venues lined up to preview. Once the second barn venue was secured – my initial skepticism around the ability to turn that environment into a suitable wedding space was immediately dispelled. Shayne is a miracle-worker! The space was stunning! I feel the best wedding planners can take a conventional space and create an aesthetically pleasing environment. Shayne’s talent far exceeded any conventional proprietor, given she took an Unconventional space and made it more beautiful than any outdoor wedding I have attended. I was the maid of honor for my sister Kaitlin’s wedding, planned by Shayne leading up to and on 6/14/14. Kaitlin told me throughout her wedding planning process how phenomenal Shayne was – but as I was not involved in that planning, for me, Shayne’s talent shone on the day prior and day of the wedding. I flew in from out of state and arrived at the wedding site (a barn) Friday morning, prior to the rehearsal dinner at 6pm. The site was in complete disarray – farm equipment that was meant to be put away was not, the place hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I understand farm/barn weddings aren’t the “cleanest” given their setting, but this was unacceptable – animal droppings and dirt were everywhere. The venue, brand new to weddings, had not maintained their commitment to Shayne and my sister to prepare the grounds. Guests would be arriving later that day for the rehearsal and dinner, and I was freaking out. I learned quickly there was no need to be frantic - Shayne was the ultimate professional. She showed up early, saw the mess, and quickly made phone calls to begin coordinating immediate, unexpected clean-up while simultaneously executing her originally-planned setup (lights, linens, fixtures, etc.) She also coordinated my last-minute technology needs for the maid of honor speech, free of charge. The rehearsal dinner, and wedding the following day, went off on time, and without issues, all due to her superior planning and event coordination skills. And I haven’t mentioned this yet, but everything was stunning. As my sister isn’t one for designing spaces or coordinating colors – the beauty could all be attributed to Shayne’s talent and vision. Although I’m not one to ask for people to do a lot of things for me, there were times when I wanted the photographer and couldn’t find them or when a few guests who were in the restroom didn’t receive the wine pour. For things like that I was able to call on Shayne and they were taken care of immediately. Since our reception was in a barn and most items were brought in, I can only imagine the organization it took to keep all rentals separated and accounted for during clean-up. When we stopped back at the White Barn the next day to gather a few things we found everything neatly packaged and returned to normal staging. To say I was impressed is the understatement of the year. I can’t say enough about our experience and I would recommend Shayne and her team a million times over. You will not be disappointed by your decision. She will become your right-hand woman and more importantly a dear friend. If it’s not for you, do it for your future husband – he doesn’t want to hear about charger plates, flatware and farm tables. Shayne does – in fact, she probably knows exactly where you should get them.

I come from a family of party throwers and planners and thought I could tackle my April 26, 2014 wedding myself. It was not until we selected the Pittsburgh Opera House as our venue, that I decided I could use a little help setting up & tearing down our wedding. During our first meeting with Shayne, she introduced us to all of the small wedding details that we had not yet realized and some important questions that we never asked our vendors. I had a binder full of every wedding checklist I could find, and I was still overlooking some major details & logistics of the day. After our initial meeting with Shayne, my husband & I both agreed that she was the perfect fit for our personalities & we were anxious to tap into her vast knowledge of all things wedding. Shayne very quickly became the person I felt comfortable bouncing my crazy wedding ideas off of – it was nice to have an unbiased opinion weighing in on important aspects of the day and letting me know if they were actually possible to execute. She attended vendor meetings with me & asked questions that never even crossed my mind (she was an absolute dream to have at my florist meeting – I would have been lost & overwhelmed without her). Shayne sent monthly checklists to keep us on track with the planning process & it was such a nice reminder to know we were on schedule or we needed to get things done. A week before the wedding Shayne finalized our Wedding Guide, and let me tell you, that thing is the Holy Grail. I must have read it over a thousand times, closing my eyes and envisioning how the day would transpire. It was also extremely helpful to be able to send the Wedding Guide to my bridesmaids and the Moms to ease their worry of the logistics & timeline. It painted such a beautiful picture of the day, and the checklist made packing for the weekend a breeze. Everything was easier with Shayne. Shayne has a way about her that puts everyone’s mind at ease. Our rehearsal was so quick and easy that almost everyone in the wedding party asked me, “is that it? that’s all we have to do?” After our rehearsal, Shayne went to work putting my centerpieces together, setting up a million candles, and turning our blank canvas of a venue into the space of my dreams. It was exactly what I wanted, only more beautiful. On our wedding day Shayne & her assistant Emily had everything run so smoothly that it is one the biggest compliments we have received about our big day. There were no awkward pauses or rushed moments, the day just floated by seamlessly.
