The general theme was a lack of ownership and management of the wedding and services of other vendors, as well as lack of understanding of our wedding plans that she herself was supposed to be managing and enforcing. Her poor service led to the reception starting late, the wedding cake falling over, and the bride & groom getting no pictures with their guests. Specific details provided below: -Despite guarantees and assurances that she worked with our venue closely on multiple occasions, she provided incorrect information of the type of decor we were allowed to use for our exit. We checked with the venue directly and they clarified that the information she provided was wrong. -When asked to put up a sign to ensure guests knew which door of the venue to enter from, she asked the groom's sister to do it for her. -Despite being at the venue walkthrough with the caterer and being CCed on email chains with the caterer, and despite the fact that she should have been managing this herself the day of the wedding, both the buffet and table settings were incorrect when we arrived and we had to personally speak to the caterer to get it fixed, as well as get our immediate family to leave our guests at the cocktail hour and physically help with the setup, ensuring the reception started late. -Though she wasn't responsible for baking the wedding cake herself, another vendor informed her that the cake was tilting. Instead of informing the baker and having it fixed, Laura claimed "the bride and groom want it like that", which then led to the cake falling over before the reception started. -Despite her responsibility of managing the family entrance for the reception, she stood by and watched while they entered with incorrect timing. -Despite the caterer telling her the food was ready, she only opened one side of the buffet. When the father of the groom went to check, she claimed the food wasn't ready, and he had to go back to the caterer himself to make sure they let people use the buffet. -Because the reception was delayed, the groom specifically told Laura to hold off until he told her to open the dance floor so the bride & groom would have time to take pictures with the guests. Despite this explicit instruction, she had the DJ announce the first dance so the bride and groom got no pictures with their guests. -Despite it being her responsibility to manage the bride & groom exit, it fell to the family of the groom to direct people, pass out the petals, and organize the entire exit.
