Where to begin with this review? Simply put, Jenn Tansley (Soirees & Revelry) is absolutely incredible at what she does. Jenn executed the vision of our wedding flawlessly and brought our dreams to life. In our opinion, Jenn is the best planner you could dream of working with. Some feelings on our experience:
We planned a large, outdoor wedding in CT, which was both multicultural (two ceremonies) as well as a logistical puzzle. If anyone is planning an estate / garden wedding in the northeast (or anywhere), you will likely find Jenn’s professional expertise invaluable.
We had spent months trying to DIY an event that ultimately ended up feeling impossible, and reached out to her to give it one last chance. She took us from a place of impossibility to executing the vision of our wedding flawlessly.
We spoke with several planners. Jenn’s knowledge, patience and emotional intelligence stood out to us from the first call. We could tell she sincerely cared about the outcome of our planning process. She took time getting to know us as people. She is professional, friendly, caring, and able to navigate many different personalities through the process.
Garden / estate weddings are a ton of work. You have to source every vendor, and depending on the scale or complexity, the installation itself can be a multi-day process. There are so many logistical considerations and TONS of moving pieces, especially for the Bride.
We had no idea how little we knew… Jenn’s planning and guidance was essential for us.
Jenn - who is the nicest, friendliest, most responsive person - will plan every detail of your wedding. The process is multifaceted and occasionally complex. Thanks to Jenn: you always know where you are, and what’s left to be done on your way to the celebration.
She sources all vendors based on your feedback and preferences. We had the BEST custom constructed tent / pavilion, gorgeous ceremony site, florals, lighting, DJ, quartet, caterer, rentals, etc., that you can imagine. It was a “dream team” from top to bottom.
The day of: we were blown away watching Jenn in action. “Zen Jenn” (our nickname) was suddenly “Super Jenn.” A large-scale garden wedding is like an engineering operation the day of. Jenn made certain our entire wedding was smooth, dreamy and perfect.
We cannot capture how good Jenn is at what she does. She goes above and beyond each step of the way to make what can be a stressful process as straightforward (and enjoyable) as possible. By the end, it truly feels like creative collaboration with a friend.
This expertise, caring and empathy is what makes Jenn so special. She “meets you where you are” and does everything possible to make the planning process feel easy, personal and - frankly - doable. Jenn is a superstar and helped make our dream wedding a reality.

I'm not even sure I have the words to really express how much my husband and I appreciate Jenn. We hired her as our wedding planner I think 2 days after we got engaged so she was truly with us throughout our whole process. From day 1 she listened to everything we said we wanted and she delivered and then some. She is so, so wonderful. She has an incredible eye for design and really took what we said we wanted and brought it to life. She guided us through our entire wedding process and we would not have had our dream day without her. Everything was so easy and so seamless, Jenn handled literally everything with the utmost grace and professional. I could write 10 more paragraphs on why we loved working with her so much but just trust that she will be the best decision you'll make in your wedding planning process!
Jenn will be the best decision you make when starting to plan your wedding. We had started planning in 2019 and she was there helping with everything along the way. She honestly goes above and beyond for her clients and by the end feels like a friend. She helped us with all our vendors and has great design skills. She is professional, punctual, organized and pays attention to detail. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and is extremely good at it. I could not have asked for a better person to help us plan our wedding, she made our day perfect.
Jennifer is a dream team vendor. Actually, a more accurate title would be that she was the Captain of the dream team! When we hired her to help plan our July 2021 wedding we were waist deep in mood boards, pinterest, and vendor research. From our first conversation with her we could tell she was punctual, organized, and experienced and we knew she would be able to organize and execute our event. What sets Jennifer apart was how design-oriented and obsessed with beautiful details she is. Capturing our vision and onboarding vendors that could align it was amazing, but what was really special was how she cared about every detail down to the ribbons that were used on place settings. She's a must for the stylish bride that wants more than just an event planner!
We started working with Jenn in 2019 for our 2020 wedding. When COVID hit, she helped move our wedding to 2021. She was very accommodating and made moving our date an easy process.
Jenn is detail oriented and helped answer any questions that we had. She met with us throughout the planning process and was helpful with the vendor selection process.
The week of the wedding Jenn collected all the items needed and ensured they were setup the day of the ceremony and reception. She helped coordinate all of the vendors and ensured everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend Jenn!
JENN IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I've actually had a hard time writing this review because I have SO many wonderful things to say about Jenn. I referred to her as my "Zen Den" while wedding planning because whenever I was feeling overwhelmed or stressed, she was right there with a video call or an email that calmed me down. When we decided less than 24 hours before our rehearsal dinner that we needed to provide transportation for the dinner, Jenn was on it and by the morning, we had a contract signed and a shuttle booked. On my wedding day, I did not have a single worry regarding set up, timeline, flow of the day, decor or anything else because I knew I had Jenn and because of her, I was free to relax, enjoy myself and be fully present in every moment. She is poised, professional, a calming presence, detail oriented, organized, reliable, passionate, communicative - the list goes on. My first piece of advice is HIRE HER. My second piece of advice is TRUST HER. You will NOT be disappointed, your wedding planning life will be made so much easier and your wedding day will be amazing and carefree (the way it should be!) with Jenn on your team. I could seriously write more but this is already a short novel so I will end it with this: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU JENN for everything - our wedding day was truly the most fun and wonderful day of our lives.
Jenn without a doubt is the most amazing person inside and out! She was our sense of calm when we had to make many changes due to COVID. She was always up to date with directing us on what to do during these uncharted times. Her ability to organize and helps us during our planning was essential. We could not have done it without her. We had a outdoor backyard wedding that required a lot of details. She was always there for us and was able to get back to us with any questions that we had. Her attention to detail is phenomenal as well as her creative ability to bring to life what you envision in your mind as your perfect wedding day. No words can even come close to how we feel about Jenn. She was the key to having one of the best days of our lives. We would highly recommend Jenn for anything and everything!
Jenn was the glue that held our wedding together. We booked Jenn for our wedding BC (before Covid). After a venue change, two date changes and drama in between we decided to put together a 60 person wedding in 4 weeks. Jenn didn’t flinch. She took charge of the situation and executed the perfect day for us. She handled everything before, during, and after the wedding which meant that I could relax and enjoy our day. I am so thankful for Jenn and I know we couldn’t have done it without her.
Jenn is hands down, amazing. I would 100 % recommend Soirees and Revelry to my closest friends and family, and anyone who is getting married!!!!
She made everything I ever wanted possible. When you work with her, it feels like you are working with a very organized, soothing friend. She's talented when it comes to decor and can manage all the stressful things that come up, that you might not anticipate. Finding her was essential to our wedding being so awesome. She is worth EVERY PENNY and MORE!
Decor: Jenn was amazing in helping me decide on a vision for the wedding. She helped me look up photos what what I might like and then once we decided she made a shopping list for all the supplies. Some of the supplies included things I might not have thought of.... like more votive candles that you would think... , guest book, card box, etc. She understood I was working on a budget so we made affordable centerpieces look exactly how I wanted. She also works with with our florist ( Floral Designs by Justine) regularly and they made a great team, both creatively and logistically. She and Justine did the set up and the break down, along with the venue which allowed me to really enjoy my wedding day. But, with Justine's help, I enjoyed the planning process too. She really made it seem like a fun project.
Organization: She's so organized that it really instills a sense of ease. You can absolutely trust her with tiny details. As someone who is pretty, " type A," and has trouble delegating, I knew she could handle anything I threw at her. She brought her laptop to every meeting and too copious notes that we could all refer back to through the aisle planner portal.
Working with other vendors/ Communication: Jenn is super easy to work with. Everyone who met her spoke to highly of her. She did not shy away from communicating with the other vendors and it was clear that she was a joy to work with for everyone. Every time i would think of something I needed to confirm, or that I was worried about, she'd take care of it. She eased the burden of the constant phone calls and emails that are the last few months of wedding planning. She was easy to get in touch with and always responded in a way that was super constructive and clear. I really trusted her taste and when I would ask her opinion she would always give it, without forcing any kind of " look," that I did not want. Throughout the wedding, every time she would send a helpful email, or communicate when my husband and I felt stressed, we would tell each other how lucky we were to find her. I trusted that she could communicate to vendors and the bridal party in a way that was professional and fun. I cannot say enough good things about Jenn and Soirees and revelry. I am honestly still in disbelief that we found someone so perfect.
Hire her! She'll make your wedding beautiful, classy, organized and actually fun for you and your family!

Once I figured out where I wanted my wedding to be and that there was not an on site planner I started looking into month of planners. I followed a few different wedding vendors I liked and found some weddings she had planned. Her style was what I was looking for.
I liked that you work directly with her (owner) and that she had a degree in fashion and design.
Jenn helped me more than she probably needed to. She went above and beyond - suggesting exactly where and what to by for decorations. Her budgeting tool and checklist were very easy to use. She has a good network and can suggest other vendors.
I would recommend Jenn over and over. Thank you for EVERYTHING!

Jen was awesome! We live out of state and planning a wedding from far away is nerve-racking however she was always easy to reach and made us feel at ease at all times. Our family has a lot of different opinions and can be a bit boisterous, Jen handled everything in a professional and elegant manor. So grateful to have had her by our side throughout this process!
Jenn is absolutely incredible! I cannot think of a better way to describe her. From the first moment I called to inquire about her wedding planning services, I knew Jenn was the right fit. She attentively listens to every detail that you have envisioned for your wedding day and develops a thorough plan to make that vision come true. She responds to every email and phone call timely and with the utmost enthusiasm. She has an excellent network of the very best wedding vendors in the area – let me tell you they are the best – and she puts so much effort into researching and vetting new ones. She will not recommend a vendor to you without knowing all pros and cons to your wish list. Once you decide on a budget, Jenn clearly outlines all aspects of that budget and helps negotiate pricing with vendors, so you can achieve the highest level of value for your money. I had some very unique requests for the location and ambiance of our wedding, and Jenn 100% percent delivered. When our wedding venue significantly changed the plan for our reception at the last minute, Jenn pulled out all the stops working tirelessly to create what we were looking for regardless. Jenn has an amazing eye for décor – our ceremony and reception were absolutely stunning. She ensured every detail of our wedding day ran seamlessly – it was completed stress free and we loved every minute of it. Not only is Jenn incredibly professional and loves what she does, she is most importantly one of the kindest, most supportive people I have ever met, and we are really thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know her. You will not regret working with Jenn and Soirees & Revelry.

Our venue was not a typical wedding venue. It didn’t come with any day of services or coordination. Although all my other vendors said they would help I really wanted a main point person to be in charge since we were both getting ready off site. We found Jenn through our florist and I was blown away just during our first phone call meeting. Jenn went above and beyond helping me with things I didn’t even know I needed! I was so relaxed the day of knowing that Jenn and her team were handling everything at the site. All my other vendors also really appreciated how she kept them in the loop on the timeline and seating. I could go on and on but if you’re on the fence about if you think you need someone day of... you do!!!! Not only is she professional but she’s one of the nicest people ever too!!
Jenn was wonderful to work with from start to finish! She always had great ideas that fit my style and what I wanted for my wedding. She was so easy to work with, super friendly and cared about my big day. If I had any questions she always got back to me right away with the answer. She is very professional and organized. I would highly recommend her for your big day, you will not be disappointed!
Jenn was nothing short of amazing. Her uplifting spirit and positivity carried through from our very first meeting with her to the very end of our beautiful (and disaster-free) wedding! Everything went by so smooth thanks to Jenn and her coordination skills. Every time my husband and I had a question or needed advice on something, we could always count on Jenn to lead us towards the right direction. It was money well spent for a CAREFREE and WORRYFREE wedding! As a bonus, she is just so sweet and such a great person! My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Jenn if you want MORE TIME to enjoy your wedding or party and LESS TIME stressing yourself out!
I don't even know where to start with Jenn, because sanity is invaluable and that's exactly what she gifted me for my wedding. I was very hesitant to ask for help initially because we were having a small wedding (roughly 75) and everything seemed manageable...until it didn't. I reached out to my venue for recommendations on planners and they recommended Jenn and one other planner.
Upon visiting Jenn's page I was immediately inspired because I needed help with the decor of the event and it showcased her doing just that. Though she doesn't do lighting primarily she was super open minded and said she would investigate if she could pull off what I wanted. Not only did she and her husband pull it off, but hands down it was the most talked about aspect of the wedding. She created a charming and elegant decor in an old wooden theater with endless obstacles. Jenn was calm and organized, kind and helpful, and someone I knew I could trust with any task. The day went flawlessly and I can say with 100% confidence that that was because of Jenn and her wonderful day-of assistant, Allie. Can't say enough good things about her personally and professionally!
Jen is absolutely amazing! We could not have had the wedding we did without her. We had no time to figure out how to decorate our venue with string lights and struggled to come up with a design so we reached out to Jen for help and she was so responsive, sent back multiple beautiful options all within our price point! I should also mention that all this was the WEEK of the wedding; she pulled it off completely last minute! I am so thankful to have asked Jen for help because every detail was way better than I could have done myself even down to the type of lights she choose (which had multiple settings to add to the atmosphere). I highly highly recommend Jen. I'm sure whatever you were planning to DIY, Jen can do it better with less stress!
