ried in Montauk, and we wanted a venue with on site accommodations, so we could really spend time with our guests all weekend. We were exhausted in our search, and walked into Sole on a whim without an appointment at the end of an exhausting day of fruitless venue tours. They could've easily turned us away and told us to come back when we had an appointment. Instead, the front desk person Thomas greeted us with warmth, despite the venue being busy and in the middle of hosting a fundraising event. He invited us to sit by the bar and listen to the music, while he found Cindi, who runs the venue. Thomas told us to grab drinks on the house, and Cindi, despite being busy running the fundraiser, welcomed us in, gave us a brief tour, and invited us to stay for the event. We also got a real sense of community from the guests at Sole, which we loved. We knew that Sole was our place. We used Cindi as our day of coordinator, and she was wonderful to work with. Always open to calls, willing to help and offer suggestions at every turn, and handling my absolute nightmare of a father with patience, kindness, and professionalism (which he did not deserve IMO). From the moment we showed up for the wedding on Thursday, Cindi took care of everything. We gave her all of our decor, signage, etc. and we did not have to think about anything. The staff was also so incredible and so kind. Many of them were Colombian, and my husband's family is Colombian and his parents don't speak English, so it was great to have some native Spanish speakers to help them feel comfortable and at ease. We did our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, reception & day after brunch all at Sole. All the events went beautifully and the food was incredible. The venue is also so beautiful that it felt like we didn't need to spend a crazy amount on florals and decor. One of the huge advantages of Sole vs other venues that don't have tent, tables, and flatware costs built in, is that Sole has exclusive vendors they work with and coordinate with, so you don't have to worry about any of that. Their per person fee is also way more reasonable than most other Montauk venues. We didn't feel nickel and dimed at any point and Cindi was always willing to be flexible with our needs and work within our budget, and all additional costs were clear and up front. When we went for our tasting, it was raining, which I was happy about because it gave us peace of mind to see that despite it being a venue really meant for an outdoor wedding, we could see how they are easily able to shift and still create a great day with inclement weather. We had perfect weather for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and first half of our reception. Halfway through the reception it POURED and then turned into lighter rain. Despite it being fully grass (other than the dance floor) under the tent, we remained fully dry. And running out to dance in the rain was so fun! It was a bummer that we couldn't do s'mores though. And speaking of the dance floor, it was the perfect size for our wedding. My biggest wedding pet peeve is a dance floor that is too small, but also you don't want it too big and it feels empty. e our wedding day- and now our appreciation for Sole has only grown.  Our tasting felt so special and we had a great weekend staying there. Most importantly, everything was beautiful, fun, and flawless on our big day. Some East has a gorgeous, enchanted property that was the perfect setting for our big day. The food is delicious, drinks were great, and everything came together beyond perfectly. The vibe is unbeatable and the entire experience was truly perfect.  We hope to return every year to relive our memories and continue creating new ones. Huge thank you to the whole Sole team for making our wedding so perfect and beautiful and for always making us feel so welcome!
