I had such an amazing experience with this wonderful group of ladies for my wedding. The trial was very helpful to decide the look I wanted and my wedding day went very smoothly. I actually ended up having two weddings (mid-covid backyard small wedding, big grand wedding with over 100 people) and used them for both! My entire bridal party and my mom and MIL all got hair and makeup, and we all looked fabulous!

Something Beautiful team was amazing! the hair and makeup services surpassed my expectations. The attention to detail and skillful artistry left me feeling truly radiant on such a special day. Highly pleased with the beautiful results!

I had the best experience with Something Beautiful! My gals and I all looked stunning and felt so confident! And artists had us done on time! I have heard horror stories about hair and make up running late on a wedding day! I have combination skin and fine lines that have caused issues with other makeup artists work. Such as, not lasting through a event or the make up looking cakey. I was so pleased that I didn’t have any of those issues and my makeup and hair lasted the whole night. I have to also mention that the artists were very clean and seemed to use all proper sanitizing techniques. I would highly recommend this beauty team to anyone!

As a bride-to-be, I had high hopes for Something Beautiful Hair and Makeup. I was looking forward to a memorable and stress-free trial, but unfortunately, my encounter with my assigned artist left much to be desired. During the trial session, I encountered a series of setbacks that shattered my confidence in their abilities. I wanted a smokey eye with light facial makeup and an up-do. I found the artist's makeup application skills to be subpar. The final result did not align with the vision or inspiration photos I had provided, and it fell far short of the standard I expected for my wedding day. The many makeup issues included: using a mahogany brown eyeliner pencil on my brows when I have brown-black hair, applying the darker eyeshadow of the smoky eye in a stripe that extended from my lash line to brow bone, not blending the eyeshadows so I had two stripes (one dark and one light) on my eyelid, not extending foundation application to my neck, false eyelashes that were glued to my lashes rather than my eyelid, not setting foundation/concealer with powder resulting in creased makeup before the trial was over. While attempting to style my hair with a curling iron, the artist unfortunately burned my face. When I said in surprise “you burned me”, the artist told me I was wrong and had just felt the heat of the iron. Even after I showed her the burn, there was no apology offered. This lack of empathy was deeply concerning and left me feeling unsettled. Following my trial, I reached out to the owner, Amber, to express my disappointment and work toward a solution. Although Amber apologized and offered a new trial with another artist, I felt she made significant efforts to defend and justify the behavior and skills (or lack thereof) of the first artist. While I understand that mistakes can happen, especially in a creative industry like hair and makeup, it is essential for artists to take accountability for their actions and strive to rectify any errors. Unfortunately, Something Beautiful failed to meet even this basic expectation. As a bride preparing for one of the most significant days of my life, I cannot overstate the importance of feeling confident and beautiful in my appearance. However, my experience with Something Beautiful had left me feeling anything but that. Instead, I was left grappling with concerns about their competency and professionalism. I ultimately decided to terminate my contract as I could not risk being assigned another inept artist with my wedding day approaching. Although I was refunded my remaining balance, I lost out on the money spent on the trial. I cannot in good conscience recommend Something Beautiful to other brides-to-be. I am sure they employ other talented artist. I would suggest brides request a specific artist, rather than risk being assigned an artist like the one I was provided. The lack of apology for the burn incident, coupled with subpar makeup skills, created an experience that fell short of the standard expected for bridal beauty.

Amber did a wonderful job on the hair and makeup for two of my bridesmaids, and I can't recommend her enough! She helped them create absolutely stunning styles that were timeless and classy yet unique based on their reference photos. They truly looked their best! Amber was organized and communicative throughout the wedding planning process and on the big day, which made things easy for me. She was on time for a 5am arrival and worked seamlessly alongside artists from another company, going above and beyond by introducing herself to them before wedding day. I'm so grateful to have found Amber and would definitely hire her again!

Loved working with Something Beautiful for my wedding!! From the bridal trial, to the day of, everything was perfect! The girls were prompt and on time, followed pictures that the bridesmaids showed and were so fun to be around! It was a great experience.

I was originally booked with another company and working with them was awful. My trial was a disaster so I had to find someone else last minute. Something Beautiful Hair and Makeup saved me in my time of need! They were absolutely amazing. I worked with Sarah and she was fantastic. Everyone all night kept telling me how stunning I looked. I felt so beautiful on my big day. I'm so glad they had availability and everything work out so well, I could not be happier.

We hired Something Beautiful Styles to do hair for a small bridal party (bride and two sisters) on our wedding day and couldn’t be happier with that decision. We were paired with hair stylist Monica, who is an absolute gem of a human being and a hair genius! All three ladies loved our styles, and I made slight tweaks between by trial and the day of the wedding, but Monica pulled it off perfectly. Not only is she excellent at what she does, but she’s a lovely person to spend the morning of your wedding with – it felt like hanging out with a friend and she fit right in with the girls that were getting ready together.

Great experience with Something Beautiful Hair and Makeup!! Amber was super helpful and communicative throughout the entire process, which was super important to us planning a destination wedding. She was especially great about coordinating our trial at the last minute when we were in town a few months before our wedding. All of my bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful!! I was super impressed with how amazing everyone looked! I also LOVED my look! It was absolutely perfect for me and exactly what I had wanted. AMAZING! Hired them to do my family’s hair and makeup for my wedding day. Monica did our hair, and we were all blown away by how creative she was with her hairstyles. She is an expert with braids and twists, so if you want to incorporate that into your look, she’s your girl! Shelby did our makeup. Some of us wanted a very natural look, and some wanted more glam (she is a pro with the sparkly eyeshadow). Shelby took the time to really listen and tailor the makeup to exactly what we were individually looking for. Overall, they exceeded my expectations and highly recommend them!

Monica was the absolute best hair stylist. She was so sweet, so attentive to anything we needed done or adjusted, and fun to hang out with! And my bridesmaids and I looked so beautiful! I’m so happy that she was a part of our wedding day!

From scheduling to my hair and makeup trial—which she (and Sarah) were so patient when I didn’t know exactly what I wanted—but helped me figure it out and I couldn’t imagine my hair & makeup any other way! Day of, they showed up early, got set up so quickly, and left us with plenty of time to spare before having to be at the venue. They also did mother of the bride and groom as well, and both moms were SO happy with their hair and makeup. Being punctual and efficient with their time and everything leading up to the big day took out a big level of stress that no one wants on their wedding day! I absolutely recommend this glam squad!

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Something Beautiful. They went above and beyond to make me feel special- both during the planning process and on my wedding day. Amber did an amazing job at my hair and makeup trial. I rarely do anything more than air dry my hair and wear minimal makeup so I was a bit clueless when it came to the exact look I wanted for my wedding. After showing her a couple of inspiration photos- she knew exactly what to do and it was even better than I imagined! I even made my fiancé (now husband) take me out to a spontaneous dinner that night because I didn’t want to waste how good I looked :) When the day of our wedding arrived, the team was on time and very professional. They had everything my bridesmaids and I could have possibly wanted and more to create our dream looks. They were also incredibly kind and fun to work with! Selecting a hair & make-up team can be very stressful but Something Beautiful did an excellent job and we were extremely satisfied with their work. Since the wedding was a destination wedding, the bride did not have any local experience with vendor. However, after meeting the team and working with Amber, we felt confident in their services. I’ve been a client of Emily’s for over half a decade now and can assure you her services for general hair cut & color, as well as color correction (I once had salmon-colored hair and she brought me back to healthy, beautifully-colored hair) are top-notch. However, I recently had the pleasure of using her & her team’s services for my wedding hair & make-up. I’m not someone who regularly gets “dolled-up” and I’ve always hated showing up in pictures at formal events looking nothing like myself. Emily worked with me during my hair & make-up trial to find a style that would still look like me, but give me that little extra something special for this memorable day. Her team gracefully arrived at my home on a chilly December morning before the sun had even considered rising and got to work tag-teaming me before my bridesmaids arrived. Everyone looked lovely, felt comfortable, and the process was not stressful at all (not being sarcastic, totally true). We traveled from PA to Scottsdale for our engagement photos. Amber was absolutely wonderful! She did my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures. Everything turned out perfect and our pictures are better than I could have imagined!

By far the best vendor i booked for my wedding. I was an out of state bride and not having met them until the weekend of my wedding Amber and her team made mine and all of my bridesmaids dreams come true. I was able to have Amber do my hair and makeup both for my elopement and my maternity boudoir photos. She was amazing at communicating and working with the shortened timeline I gave her when reaching out about the elopement. I was able to do a trial in studio and then have the vision carried out in Sedona for real. She was punctual, professional and even helped add a last minute addition to my elopement dress in order to help it stay put. I had to reach out about rescheduling my boudoir hair and makeup due to unforeseen medical circumstances and Amber was understanding and able to reschedule on an even shorter timeline. I truly appreciated this and that she checked in afterward to see how things were, even though she didn’t have to. I plan on recommending Something Beautiful to anyone I can!

My experience with Something Beautiful was literally flawless. They communicate well and are so sweet. I had my trial with them the morning of my boudoir photoshoot and the girls were so flexible with my schedule. I felt stunning and my photos were incredible! Then on the actual wedding day, they did the hair and makeup of my bridal party and both mothers. We all felt so gorgeous, the makeup lasted all night even through the tears, and we enjoyed chatting with Monica and Ahseia all morning. They had us all done on time and listened to any requests we had, while also making perfect recommendations based on my wedding colors and our skin tones. Absolutely loved working with Something Beautiful! I was planning my wedding in Phoenix from out of town and they made the process super easy. I changed my mind on my bridal look after my trial and they were SO amazing with taking notes on my ideas to make the changes for the big day. Amber is amazing! I hired her to do my mine and my mom’s hair and makeup for my wedding, and it turned out perfect! I don’t wear much makeup normally and I was really worried that I would end up looking too different and wouldn’t recognize myself in photos. Amber completely understood my concerns. She was able to do my makeup in a way that enhanced how I naturally look and not cover it up. I felt so beautiful and confident and, most of all, comfortable in my look. I can’t overstate that I didn’t think about my makeup at all the whole wedding. It just started beautiful and stayed that way. Such a relief. My hair was equally beautiful and stayed put all night (in spite of Flagstaff’s constant wind). Amber is so nice and upbeat. I had Something Beautiful for my hair/makeup as well as my bridesmaids for my wedding on 9/13 in Sedona and we were all so blown away! They are the sweetest ladies, so easy going and really know what they are doing. Some gals had up dos, some had down and they really nailed it for what everyone was looking for. I booked them after I postponed my wedding due to covid and so happy I did, Amber was so accommodating and patient with me as I had some bridesmaids that may not have been able to travel due to covid, she responded within minutes to every message and I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup -- everyone looked gorgeous and we were all so happy! I have never felt so beautiful, and she truly captured the exact look I was going for. It was an easy decision to have Amber and her team cover my wedding day hair and makeup from there. On my wedding day, the team was prepped and ready to go and made the entire experience for my bridal party perfect!! If you want serious talent, above and beyond service, and a look you will cherish forever, then definitely call Something Beautiful Hair & Makeup!! The next day Amber came back to style my hair for our Pakistani reception, and she did such a great job! Amber and her team were AMAZING to work with for my recent wedding. They were super flexible with scheduling the trial and made some wedding day adjustments to my makeup per request. They also added on like 5-6 extra people who my mom asked for on the day of without any problem. Amber stayed until after my first look with my dad so she could touch me up before I went down the aisle. Every time I started crying again, I heard from the other room "I'm still here!! Cry if you need to and I'll fix it!" I cannot say enough wonderful things- I'd choose Something Beautiful 100x over if I had to do it all again. You won't regret working with them. So happy I found this company! I was out of town and scheduled a trial session with Amber when we were visiting. She took the time to find out what I really liked and made sure I was happy with the results so when I came back for the wedding, everything was set!
