The founding of our company is based on three ideas. Our first idea is based on your events being about YOU! When planning an event or wedding, it’s easy to fall under the pressure of friends, family, and classic traditions. We believe the best way to find happiness during this time is to make decisions based on what YOU want and need. Hence the company name, make sure your wedding includes "something YOU". We're here to help you creatively bring your ideas to life and make your day stress-free while giving you and your guests an unforgettable experience.
The second idea being the rarity of life's special occasions. Weddings, retirements, showers, and graduations are all rare yet beautiful moments that deserve to be celebrated, and each client deserves to celebrate these moments without stress and worry. At Something You Events, we want each client to be happy throughout the entirety of the planning process, sit back and let us do the work while you enjoy life's special moments!
Our third and final idea is about building relationships with our clients. At Something You Events, we believe that each couple (or client) is unique and has their own set of needs, so we meet those needs. Being wedding planners and coordinators, we thrive on meeting new people and making their dreams a reality. By getting to know our clients, we are better able to understand what they want out of their events, and make sure they get that. We love getting to work with different and unique people who keep our job exciting and ever-changing!

I’ve always had a deep passion for organizing and planning, and I believe that every special event deserves to be what you want it to be. With this philosophy in mind, I founded Something You Event Services in hopes to give people the events they deserve. After working as an Event Coordinator at multiple Metro-Detroit venues, I realized that my passion was more client driven than venue driven. The reason I love this industry so much is that I get to work with so many amazing and unique people to give them events they will remember for a lifetime!

We had a wonderful experience working with Something You Event Services for Day-Of Coordination for our October 2024 wedding. Alyssa and her assistant were fantastic!
From our first meeting, Alyssa was professional, organized, and thoughtful in understanding our vision for the wedding.
On the wedding day, Alyssa was a calm and confident presence who kept everything running smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment, knowing she was ensuring every vendor arrived on time, every detail was accounted for, and everything happened as planned—without us having to worry about a thing.
We especially appreciated not having to worry about setting up the reception hall, as Alyssa took the lead in coordinating with our venue. She was also attentive to us and our immediate families during the reception, which made the experience even more enjoyable. She also captured some photos and videos for us during moments that no others were doing so, so we appreciated her thinking to capture some of these moments so we could enjoy them later on.
Overall, Alyssa and her assistant provided the support we needed for everything to come together seamlessly in the days leading up to the wedding and on our big day. Their services allowed us to feel at ease, knowing they had our backs!
If you're looking for someone who is organized, kind, and experienced, I highly recommend working with Alyssa for your event!

Alyssa was fabulous to work with. She handled my vendor communication and made the days before my wedding a breeze. She was extremely responsive to any questions prior to the wedding. During the wedding, we had Alyssa and her assistant, Holly, running all over the place. Alyssa made a great timeline for us and made sure we were good on time during the wedding. She really helped make the day amazing and took so much off of us and the wedding party. She was extremely professional, prepared and had great attention to detail. I would highly recommend booking Something You Events and Alyssa for your upcoming event or wedding!

Alyssa was AMAZING. She went above and beyond for me. She literally made my dream come through. Every detail, every vision I had, everything. She handle all problems, she kept me calm, she laughed with me. I told her the vision I had and she literally brought it to life all with a smile on her face. I would hire her 100x over again. I had so many compliments about how smoothly the day went and it was truly all because of her!! Not only is she great at what she does, her personality is even better! If you’re in the fence about hiring a day of coordinator, I promise you won’t be disappointed with her!

I can’t say enough good things about Alyssa. She made time for us to understand exactly what we wanted, she went above and beyond and executed everything to how we imagined. She coordinated with vendors so well too especially our DJ and kept communications with both myself and husband throughout the night. I have no idea how she got everyone on time to do the sparklers at the end but she did! It was a fairytale night and it couldn’t have happened without Alyssa and her assistant. We appreciate you. Thank you, you’re phenomenal ♥️

Alyssa was amazing, catered to my every need. I told her than if something goes wrong I didn’t want to know about it and for her to handle it, & she did just that. Always made sure I had a drink in my hand. She was amazing!

Alyssa made my day soooooo much better!! She not only did the tasks I had set aside in advance, but things I didn't even think of! If something looked like it needed to be done, she did it. I couldn't have pulled off the day with out her.

I don’t think I can put into words how grateful I am for Alyssa and all of her hard work. Her attention to detail was spot on; our decor looked stunning. Her communication is clear and direct which allowed for everything to go smoothly the day of our wedding. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients and ensuring their visions come to life.
She helped guide us every step of the way, asking questions about things I hadn’t even thought about. She was my voice and backbone when I needed it. She even captured some behind-the-scenes pictures and videos that I will treasure forever!
I was on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator but I’m SO GLAD I did because I will forever look back on our wedding day and think about how beautiful and perfect everything turned out with the help from Alyssa.

Alyssa is fantastic. She set up our reception decorations and followed my requests to a T. Everything was beautiful and it was so exciting to see our vision come to life. She jumped into action during our reception and was able to help with all types of things. It was such a relief to have someone there to take care of behind-the-scenes stuff with the venue. Totally worth it. I highly recommend working with her!

Alyssa was very supportive. We booked her like 10 months in advance. We got the day of coordination package but she checked in on us via email or text message intermittently throughout the entire process every month or so to make sure we were still sane and had things under control. On the day of she was magnificent and managed picking up our flowers, table/venue decor, and the schedule. Very proud to say I got married on time. I didn't have to answer a single phone call or vendor question. It was a magical day and as the bride I was unbothered. It was beautiful 😻. Thank you Alyssa (who I randomly found on Instagram)!
