Sophisticated Delights will have lifelong customers after this. Everyone at our wedding said we had the best wedding food they ever had. The team and the catering manager, Eboni Crenshaw, were a pleasure to work with. The food was very delicious and plentiful! Chef Dee, you now have fans from Chicago to Miami. I would recommend their services to anyone.

Transcendent. Transcendent is the words I used when I first had the food that was presented to me by Chef Dee. I used her company for my wedding and it was one of the best successes of the night. Her food was so well done the textures were amazing the flavors were on point and the seasoning was given without hesitation. If I could use them everyday I would and that is how much I enjoyed their meal at my wedding there wasn't a single complaint, in fact they were asking how the heck she did that with food. God bless this woman and her talented and dedicated hard-working staff. 10/10 Also shout out to Eboni 💖

We hired Sophisticated Delight to be the caterer for our wedding. We almost didn’t hire them after the first tasting, which was a complete mess. The snapper was blackened and inedible. It was so spicy, and the only thing that we came away from that tasting liking, was the raspberry chicken and the carrots. We did a second tasting where we tried the Seabass and the pork chop and they were both good so we went around along with using Sophisticated Delight. We had a call with them the week prior of the wedding that my party planner was on as well where I told them that the pork chop was ever so slightly black and didn’t want to make sure all the food was Lightly seasoned as I knew there would be a lot of old people and people from the north that don’t understand Cajun food. The day of the wedding I ordered the chicken which was so incredibly spicy. I could not eat it and my husband ordered the pork chop which he said was spicy and he doesn’t recollect it being spicy. My father-in-law ordered the seafood the fish and he came to me and told me it was spicy after I had already spoken to the chef about it on Tuesday after the wedding my husband, Chef and the operations manager are on a conference call about what we didn’t like and what we wanted going forward. We were pretty clear with what we wanted and we were told it would be a two or three day turnaround we turned around being eight days before they got back to us , we asked for a little bit of our money because we did pay $15,000 for catering and they denied us and told us instead that they would like to come into our house and cook another meal for us so we aren’t happy with the process, the food was incredibly spicy with the exception of the bacon which everybody loved . They were good and bad things at the wedding however, the entrées, what people remember the most, and that is where we had the most difficulty with them I checked with my party planner about whether or not my instructions were clear enough for the spot the spice and she said I was absolutely clear enough so I don’t know why everything was seasoned to a Cajun level. we were asked in our tasting how we would like everything to be spiced on a 1 to 5 rating and we said one, so that did not get translated to the Chef either. I’m just disappointed that they weren’t willing to work with us and instead want to come back into our house and cook for us when we had a bad experience, they were a preferred vendor with our catering hall and that’s why we uses them

Eboni was responsive, kind, professsional, and helpful. As a bit of background, my husband and I live in Virginia and planned our wedding for Texas (our home state). Therefore, we were not able to taste test and caterers. But Eboni made helpful recommendations to fit our theme and our tastes. She also was incredibly flexible in adding meals for my mother and I’s dietary restrictions. Eboni and positive reviews of this company were integral in our caterer selection. And they delivered! The food was absolutely delicious! Our guests raved about the food and it was certainly a highlight of our wedding! We were extremely pleased with the quality of the food and service. The servers were also lovely and professional. Thank you so much! I cannot recommend this caterer enough. Your bellies will be full and happy!

Wow. I really don't know what to say or where to start. There are no words to summarize how amazing my experience with this company was. One word. Flawless. Ok maybe two. Amazing. As a wedding planner myself, I am very picky and being a bride I was worse. I knew all eyes would be on me and I wanted an amazing day. I also deserved it! I've waited a long time to marry my man! LOL. Chef D's eye for creativity, her skill for cooking delicious food and execution really set the bar high. My guests were amazed and my husband who is Nigerian said she nailed his traditional dishes. We did a sit down dinner and I had a few guests trying to sneak in the kitchen for more food and they already had hefty plates. I really appreciate how she took the time to make sure her food matched my wedding theme to the T! I really have to say everything with her team was perfect and I can never, ever thank her enough!

Outstanding!!!! Chef Dee and her team exceeded my expectations. Our food was great at the tasting so I knew it would be good but I was still blown away on wedding day. People are still talking about my food. Having good food ranked high on my list and Sophisticated Delights did not disappoint. The presentation was nice and the food was fresh and hot. Sophisticated Delights service and food was AMAZING for our wedding! I would recommend to any upcoming brides to check them out. The food was so delicious. Our experience with Chef D was amazing from start to finish. We left our tasting full and completely confident that our guests would be blown away by her flavors. For our passed Hors D'oeuvres we chose the southern dip and Hennessy honey lamb chops which people could not stop asking the servers for. Our main entree was a buffet presentation of the pan seared sea bass topped with lump crab and citrus garlic butter, cajun stuffed chicken with andouille sausage, sundried tomato risotto, and brocolini. Let me tell y’all that the flavor explosions were out of this world and the portions were very plentiful. The food was on time and fresh, and her staff was extremely professional. My Wife and I didn’t get a chance to eat at the wedding (of course) but Chef D had fresh to go plates for us that we absolutely demolished when we got back to our room. The remainder of our food not consumed by guests was also packaged very nicely for us to store. I would re-book Chef D and her team in a heartbeat and we plan on going straight to her for any other catered events we plan. Chef Dee and her crew did absolutely amazing at our wedding! As the bride, I was so stressed about the food but Sophisticated Delights took care of everything so perfectly - from serving the food and the cake to packing everything up at the end of the night. The food tasted amazing and all our guests loved it! Even the plates, cutlery, and glasses used to serve the food were so elegant and beautiful! I was blown away at how they went above and beyond for the set up and decorations. Chef Dee was super meticulous, attentive to detail, and extremely helpful in making sure that everyone was well fed and happy. We had an amazing experience with Sophisticated Delights from our tasting to our actual wedding day. The food was immaculate, the service was great, the staff were friendly and super efficient. Did I say the food was amazinggggg! We loved it!

Let me just say -- guests were calling me DAYS after the wedding so say how amazing the food was. We went with the buffet & everything went very smoothly. While I was taking photos -- servers were running out to get me food. Another huge point of difference was that they cut the cake & packed everything up. Would HIGHLY recommend to any event in the Houston area!!

Some people have you at hello. Chef Dee had us at Crawfish Mac and cheese. Our tasting was love at first bite! All our guests raved about how good the food was! It was delicious, fresh, and hot. The servers were professional and attentive. And Chef Dee has great attention to detail. We are very pleased with Sophisticated Delights catering our wedding.

Sophisticated Delights was the talk of our wedding. Everyone loved the food and were trying really hard to get leftovers to take home. The service was excellent and quick! I can not rave enough about D'ambria and her team. I live in the Netherlands but my husband is American, so we decided to have our wedding in the US since it was easier for everyone to come to the States. My husband and I hopped on a call with D'ambria and one thing I could immediately tell is she KNOWS her profession!!! As a bride speaking to so many different people you start noticing who really owns their craft. Sophisticated Delights was the perfect fit and I booked them even without having a tasting first. I knew that her food would taste amazing just by all the other reviews, her expertise + years of experience in catering and she has an amazing menu that fits any style you are looking for. We rescheduled due to covid and had our wedding a year later, and I was so happy that we didn't lose her as a vendor due to inavailability. When I finally was able to come to the States we scheduled a tasting and LET. ME. TELL. YOU. That food was everything!! I could secretly cry tears of happiness because I was so proud that I made this decision and took a leap of faith all the way from another continent. Her food did NOT disappoint AT ALL. I wish I could do a tasting like that anyday lol!!! It was one of the things I really enjoyed during wedding planning. After the tasting my husband and I just needed to know (and crossed our fingers) if she also does mealplanning, because this is definitely something we are willing to invest in. Say bye bye to HelloFresh. On our wedding day the food tasted even better. I loved to see all our guests fed with such amazing fully filled plates and we have received tons of compliments on it. I loved her drink options that also came with the package and we simply had so much variety on our day. D'ambria and team, you guys are really amazing and we are so happy to be your lifetime clients. Sophisticated Delights is the perfect wedding caterer!!! She delivered an absolutely delicious meal that was hot and plated with perfection. Not only was the food amazing but the service provided was exemplary!!! A timely wedding schedule was important to my husband and I, and she definitely met our expectations. Sophisticated Delights provides a large menu selection to fit any desired theme and budget. We desired a cajun/creole menu and our families were throughly impressed with our selections. I used Sophisticated Delights for my bridal shower and wedding. I will definitely utilize them for all future life milestones (including baby showers).

I would definitely recommend Chef Dee and Sophisticated Delights. First and most importantly, the food at our wedding was delicious. We had multiple guests comment that night and the few days following on how great the food was. It was important for us not to serve typical bland wedding food, and Chef Dee really came through with the seasoning and flavor. She is also very accommodating when I had some last minute changes even after I sent in the final count. I loved that she includes a certain number of allergy plates, so I could accommodate my vegan and gluten-free guests. Her servers did a great job as well, and kept things very efficient and professional. Our favorite part was that they packed extra meals for my husband and I and sent them with us to our hotel! It was so nice having that extra food at the end of the night, since I was a little too excited to eat during the actual dinner. :) Just be prepared for a bit of delayed email response, but it's not really a big deal - she makes it clear from the get-go that she's not available on event nights since she gives her clients 100% attention on their special nights, and I actually really appreciate that. Even though I had to wait for a response a few times, Chef Dee's communication was clear and ultimately timely. From the initial phone call to the wedding night, I LOVED working with her and will definitely book her for any future events! Our menu started with stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, and a charcuterie table. Entrees were ribeye steak and sun-dried tomato/spinach stuffed chicken, with sides of mushroom risotto, charred Brussels sprouts, and house salad. Everything was delicious and amazing! The standouts for me were the salad (we even went up to the next package just for the salad), stuffed mushrooms, chicken, and risotto (truly something special). Seriously, don't look further than Sophisticated Delights! It doesn't get better.

Dee was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very personable and friendly! Sophisticated Delights offers so many different options when it comes to types of food, packages, and services. There is something here for everyone! Dee’s food is absolutely amazing and so flavorful we loved everything. On our wedding day the service was wonderful and all of the staff at Sophisticated Delights did a great job. The chef even came to great my husband and I on the dance floor to make sure everything was great—we appreciated that! We loved that Sophisticated Delights took our wedding decor vision and decorated that catering tables—taking them from the standard table with a tablecloth to a beautiful elegant display for our guests! If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding look no further.

10/10 recommend! The food was delicious. Best wedding food I’ve ever had. And I’m not just saying this because it was my wedding. I had friends that had weddings after me that booked her for their wedding also. I have friends and family that still bring up “those greens”. Not only is the food delicious but the customer service and care and time she put into the event/food/displays were unmatched. I still order food from sophisticated delights for different events throughout the year. I love them!

We wanted to love Sophisticated Delights and we did until they actually served at our wedding. The tasting was a 5 star experience with the owner herself. She really wowed us with not only an amazing plate but her friendliness and openness about her business and how she likes her employees to conduct themselves. For a year we raved about the dinner that our guest were going to eat. We promised them a meal with flavor like they never tasted before. Fast forward to the wedding day. Even with communicating everyday up until the day of the wedding to ensure everyone understood what I wanted/expected things went terribly wrong. We hired an extra server, with the point of this extra server to ensure no one was left waiting for a drink refill or served cold food. Well, the food was cold and I don’t mean not hot just warm, I mean ICE COLD. You ever have a steak cold? How about grilled snapper? It does not taste right. We also were served our cold food 30 minutes late, they didn’t follow simple instructions of tucking the silverware inside the napkins I folded so they wouldn’t touch the table. On top of that the chef was RUDE and ARGUMENTATIVE with the BRIDE and the waitstaff had attitudes. We went from being excited and ready for the meal we dreamed about for a year from our tasting to leaving the table not touching the food while our guests attempted to smile through eating their cold plates. The day after our event I reached out to D’Ambria, the owner, directly. For the first time in the year that I have been communicating with her she responded the same day. She was defensive and had excuses for everything. She even had the audacity to tell me that they peeled off the bread on the kids meals because “it fell off during transport” even though we have pictures with the obvious grill lines. She refuses to refund any of her mistakes and will only give us a partial refund if we sign a NON-DISCLOSURE. Yep, you read that right. The only way this company will right their mistakes is by making you sign a gag order so no other person can know your experience. During our phone conversation she actually started crying on the phone to MANIPULATE my husband! As soon as I took the phone back and started talking the tears would stop! I even found out after our phone conversation that my mother-in-law spoke to the caterer that night and told them how bad things were. D’Ambria herself admitted she new that night things went wrong but I was still the one reaching out to her. To say the least I DO NOT recommend this company. It’s obvious now they say and/or do whatever possible to book an event but they have no follow through. Not to mention how many other non-disclosures are out there with brides with experiences like mine?

OMG! the food was amazing, everyone gave us compliments and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! Very well priced as well! Chef Drew was amazing to work with and super flexible when we had to postpone the wedding due to covid. Simply amazing!

Everything was so personalized and to our taste. I got hundreds of compliments on the food and all our guests were so happy. They even had enough for seconds. D’Ambria was amazing! Not only was the catering selection great but the food was amazing and seasoned perfectly. Our family is from Louisiana and a lot of them were raving about the cajun chicken, salmon, and green beans. We even had enough for seconds and enough to take home. We appreciated the fact that she also does cake cutting which we didn’t realize was a “thing” that we needed to find. We had one pregnant vegan guest and she absolutely accommodated for that person. My husband was so busy enjoying the wedding that he didn’t get to thank her before he left which he talked about for days. Our goal for the reception was great food, cake, and DJ and Sophisticated Delights helped us exceed that goal!

How can I thank D’ambria? Let me count the ways!!!! She was absolutely amazing for our wedding. I ams still getting getting guests calling saying how great the food was. I can not emphasize enough BOOK SOPHISTICATED DELIGHTS for WHATEVER EVENT you have. From the time we set out first appoint to the day after the wedding she was consistent, thoughtful and anticipated all of our needs. By the time we thought of any question or what we thought might be concerns, she had already taken care of it. The service was AMAZING. We didn’t have a thing to worry about. They even made sure to bring us food between the ceremony and the reception. We quickly understood once stepping into the reception how important that was. From the bottom of my heart I thank her for the amazing work and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND her for any affair.

Sophisticated Delights offer some great choices and are very polite when you meet them. They even offer to cut your wedding cake. But be weary, on the day of the event our guests complained that they didn't get cake and the servers were caught taking leftovers. When brought to their attention they denied the accusations even though we had witnesses. The whole situation became a big issue. The company is nice. You may just have to set some rules.

I cannot say enough good things about Sophisticated Delights. D'Ambria and her team were absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. I had so many guests come up to me and tell me it was the best wedding food that they have ever had and some went up for even thirds! I loved working with D'ambria. She made everything so easy. She worked with me the whole way. She every created an off-menu main entree and side dish, just for my Cajun husband. She even worked around my allergies. I love that she had a kid's menu. It made everything so easy and convenient. It's been almost 3 months and I'm still getting compliments on the staff and the food.

My husband and I got married at The Gallery on 12/1/18. Words can’t begin to describe the professionalism and excellence of D’Ambria and her staff. Our guests were truly satisfied with the menu and presentation. D’Ambria was also very attentive to us and ensured that we had everything that we needed. We hired Sophisticated Delights to cater our wedding and we are so glad we did! From the initial email to the day of, D'Ambria and her team went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible for us and the food was so darn good!! Her menu has a wide range to please any crowd and during the tasting she asked for our opinion to make sure items were tailored to our taste. Her staff handled the buffet wonderfully on the day of and we had 150 guests! When we made our rounds after dinner, guests kept coming up and asking who our caterer was. We got comments like, "this is how my mom makes potatoes!" You know it's good when it reminds you of your mom's cooking! The staff brought my husband and I plates directly before starting the buffet line and even packed us to-go boxes for the hotel which was much appreciated! We chose Sophisticated Delights to cater our wedding. Working with D'Ambria was nothing short of amazing! From the beginning she listened to our thoughts and gave us ideas on what could work for our budget. We consulted with other catering companies in the Houston area and they all sort of wanted to push what THEY wanted to do, and not what we ultimately wanted for our guests. With D'Ambria at every single point she made it about us and what our goal was for our guests. My main thing was for our guests to enjoy everything from start to finish and have this beautiful experience in terms of food and service. Her staff on the actual wedding day was beyond attentive and everyone loved it. We did a plated dinner with passed appetizers and late night bites! The late night bites were a hit and totally unexpected and we loved how everything was executed. I would highly recommend all brides to look no further and have a consultation with D'Ambria! The food is amazing. You can't go wrong with the puff pastry appetizer! (Trust me!) As a planner, working with this company makes my job easier. I change my menu several times and not once was there a problem. She help us to stay within a budget. It’s always good for a catering service to have delicious food options no matter what your budget is. The food and service was five stars. I never had to worry about anything because her team was amazing. The buffet line was moving fast for 200 plus people to serve. My guest love the food omg it was so delicious 😋. Omg the food for our wedding was absolutely delicious. We received sooooooo many compliments on the food and the bar. It tasted like it came straight out your kitchen......it was seasoned perfectly, the steak was tender and delicious....we look forward to using Sophisticated Delights for other events.

I am a wedding/event planner in Houston and from the first wedding I had ever done with Sophisticated Delights, I knew she would be one of my preferred caterers for my clients! Her staff are always attentive and professional, and in terms of D'Ambria, she is a talent when it comes her gift of cooking and professionalism! She is very tenacious and genuinely wants her clients to enjoy the entire experience, not just the meal. An awesome catering company that I will definitely always recommend!

Sophisticated Delights came in and saved my wedding!!! At the last minute, the caterer I hired, canceled on me because they said they double booked that day! I had been referred to Chef Dee by a friend of mine who is a wedding coordinator, and she said she had heard great things about her. Fingers crossed and a prayer, I called Chef Dee and she agreed to do my reception! My menu was a tad bit difficult, due to food allergies, but she made it work, and the food was fantastic!! The servers were friendly and accommodating and bussed like no one I have ever seen and also did a switch out with the most professionalism and promptness. Our tea carafe was never empty and neither were our water glasses. Everyone complimented the food and the professionalism of the servers, but I was impressed that Chef Dee was able to pull off making my reception a success on such short notice!! Thank you so much Sophisticated Delights for making my day a fantastic!!!

Overall we were disappointed with Sophisticated Delights for many reasons. One of their employees walked in front of the ceremony window during the ceremony. We ran out of crackers and plates during the cocktail hour and were told we couldn’t have more. The buffet “decor” was basically non-existent and was told by more than one guest that their team slapped food on peoples plate like a cafeteria line. They were mostly unfriendly and unwelcoming. D’Ambria’s staff was eating our cake before the Bride and Groom had cake and when they did cut it they massacred it. People ended up cutting their own cake after a short while. The food was just o.k. It seemed everyone’s steak was cooked differently, some medium and some over cooked. The only reasons we are giving them a 3 instead of a 2 is because the salad was good and they did a good job bussing tables and D’Ambria had a rough day.

Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect! Chef Dee took our vision and made it a reality. All our guests loved how the cake tasted and how it looked, I cannot say thank you enough to Sophisticatedly Delights! She was very responsive to our changing requests, was always available for planning and discussion, and set the cake up just right on the day of our wedding. On such a stressful day, I couldn’t have been more happy to have chosen Sophisticated Delights. Thank you!!!

I was very very pleased with D'Ambria and her amazing customer service. She catered my wedding May 24th at The Heights Villa and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Her team was amazing and the food was delicious!! I do love well seasoned food. My guests were pleased at the reception and were anxious and excited to try her food because my husband and I raved so much about how amazing her food was just at the taste testing alone. I booked her sometime in last year and she was very helpful and answered every question I had in a timely manner. I definitely knew I made the right choice! She is just awesome all the way around and I would love to use her again.

The food was really good, well priced, and we got several compliments on it. We ended up making several changes in the weeks before our wedding and they were very accommodating with that. If you change your guest count after the deadline the cost to add more plates is pretty steep (relative to the cost before the deadline) so beware!

Everything was great. From our tasting to all the extra help with finding linens and setting up. Also during the wedding the extra attention we got was amazing. Always felt like family. The food was great, nothing but compliments from my guest. Our wedding was originally postponed due to Hurricane Harvey, but D'ambria stuck with us. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please use them. Thanks for making our wedding great. (The Ceviche was amazing)

Great service! I felt reassured right from the beginning and never had to worry about it! The food was delicious and the ice cream bar was a hit! Defiantly hire them!

We were so pleased with the tasting and the packages she offers. We had a cheese stuffed chicken, potatoes, green beans, shrimp and grits, and 3 appetizers. I still have people telling me how yummy the food was. One guest said it was that first time he actually had GOOD wedding food! D'Ambria and her team at sophisticated delights catered our wedding recently Feb. 11, 2017 at the Tuscany Villa in Katy, TX. Words can't even begin to describe how amazing this experience was. From day 1, D'Ambria came to our house all the way in Katy, TX for our tasting. She knew we had a crazy work schedule, and did everything in her power to make the process easy. No other caterer company offered to do that, or accommodate our crazy schedule as D'Ambria did. Her energy and positive attitude really made our decision easy. She was there for us every step of the way, and was on top of everything to ensure everything was on point. The food was fantastic, and our guests raved about how much they loved everything that was served at our wedding. The professionalism that D'Ambria and her staff displayed on our wedding day, was greatly appreciated.
