The DJ was absolutely amazing! Not only was he accomodating to what we were wanting to hear but he was also very kind and helpful throughout the entire ceremony!

In booking vendors for our wedding we were very very adamant from the get go that the DJ was going to be such a crucial and fundamental part of our big day. We were assured that So...
und Connections would be a great fit but still approached with a bit of uncertainty. We are so so so Happy that Sound Connections was the DJ vendor of choice. Paul was such a delight to speak with during our initial conversation. He was so knowledgeable and almost immediately eased our minds about the DJing services. Communication was always top notch. We were so excited. Come wedding day CJ was the DJ booked. CJ went above and beyond, from start to finish. He kept the crowd on the dance floor and made it a memorable night for us, as well as our guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to share our special day with. Would rebook and recommend , no hesitation.
We are extremely frustrated with this aspect. We were very nervous about the bi-cultural element, and wanted to meet with the assigned DJ before we had to make the decision to swit...
ch out package features. I wish we had just switched Sound Connections out. We asked him to meet early, and were assured he would call us, and he didn't. After being prompted, once it was too late to change the package anyways, he did call us, and he assured us he could handle the new Persian music and Latin music. We even provided him playlists of each with tons of songs. I even offered him any amount needed to support any time he needed to spend studying the music and familiarizing himself with the provided playlists. He very evidently did not do that. He played the wrong father-daughter dance song, and was instructed to mix from Persian to Latin music at something like a ratio of 5 to1; meaning for every 5 Persian songs, he would play 1 Latin song. In other words, mix it up a little and heavier on the Persian music. He did NOT follow this recommended ratio, and instead played lots of persian songs in a row, then Latin songs in a row, meaning that the latin guests or the persian guests were sitting for long periods of time. I know that our guests would have stayed on the dance floor dancing if there was a more frequent switch in styles. Secondly, he did not MIX the songs, he just played them from the playlist from beginning to end. Our understanding of a DJ is that they can mix, shorten, mesh, etc music as they read the crowd. We thought by giving him playlists, it would save him one step. Since he didn't take the time to study the persian songs provided, I can see how he didn't mix those; but since he is a Latin DJ super well-versed with the Latin songs, I just cannot comprehend why he couldn't elevate the Latin music. My husband was very disappointed in this, and I feel badly because I guaranteed him it would be fine, based on Jose's and Paul's assurances. I would never recommend this DJ or service to anyone having a multicultural wedding. And to be honest, to anyone for whom the music and an elevated DJ experience is the goal, as it was with us.
Paul was fantastic! The music at our reception was one of the most important aspects of our wedding for me and Paul delivered! He gave us exactly what we wanted and so much more! T...
he special YMCA dance will be one thing our families and friends never forget! Highly recommend him and Sound Connections for all of your DJing needs!
We used Sound Connections as they were an add on of the venue package at Shirley Acres. I was nervous that I didn't meet the DJ before the wedding, but we had Billy Jack as our DJ,...
and he was so awesome!!!! He made sure everyone had a great time, he was fun, and kept the dance floor packed until the end! We couldn't have asked for a better experience!!!!
Paul with Sound Connections, Inc. was a pleasure to work with and a hit at the reception!
The music and DJ that attended the event was awesome! I was really happy how it all turned out.

kage added on and the pictures are a little dark and they do not put them online after. However, the man working the photo booth was very nice and respectful.
This is the best DJ company in Houston.
I liked my DJ as far as personality, but he didnt playwhat we wanted. Before the wedding, we had to fill out a list of what kind of music we wanted. It was specific as far as names...
of groups and songs. When it came time for the dancing, we had to keep asking him to pep things up. I still think my guests had a good time though. And like I said, the DJ himself was a nice guy.
Sound Connections were part of our package with Shirley Acres. I was really worried as we had not picked them per se. Wow, was I wrong to be worried. My husband called before th...
e wedding about music as we had not found a lot on the playlists online that we wanted. They were so flexible and helpful. Chris spoke on the phone with Roger (who also DJ'd our wedding) and Roger actually encouraged him to dance in a way that made it so that after only 10 months, my husband then signed up for a dance class! At the wedding, he played a perfect mix and really got a sense of what folks seemed to enjoy and what to play to get people on the floor. They were wonderful! I am not sure about the price of just the DJ company, as it was part of our contract. In our contract $600 dollars was added, so I am not sure what actually went to the company, but it was worth every penny! I thought a DJ was a waste, but my parents insisted....I was totally wrong and they were so right! What a great experience!
We used Paul Olsen who is the owner of Sound Connections. He did a wonderful job of keeping every one up and on the dance floor and keeping the reception moving. I didn't have to w...
orry about anything at the reception he took care of it all! You fill out a form at the beginning and he gets you to pick the types of music you want played and specific songs you want played and he did a great job of playing exactly what we wanted to hear. Great Prices!
I used Sound Connections, contracted through my reception venue (Tad Akers in League City). The owner met with me to talk about what music I liked/didn't like. I sent in a descri...
ption and agenda of what I wanted and they delivered exactly what I was hoping for! The DJ was very professional and fun. We had a great time!
We used Koert Knights with Sound Connections and he was AMAZING. Our original DJ canceled eight days before our wedding and we were scrambling to find a replacement. I called all a...
round Houston trying to find someone, but I had high standards and most places were booked. Several places I called, plus one friend, referred us to Sound Connections, so we met with Paul, the owner, and Koert, our DJ, five days before our wedding. Our meeting lasted less than one hour, but in that hour we received better service and more information than we did during the entire 6 months we had been with our original DJ. We booked them on the spot.
Koert called me two days before the wedding to confirm the schedule and verify the correct pronunciations of the wedding party’s names, and that was all he needed. At the reception, everything was perfect. With just a little direction, he played songs that were perfect for us and our guests. My assessment of a good DJ is usually based on whether you notice him/her or not. If you notice the DJ, it’s bad, if you don’t it’s good. Koert was seamless and went without being noticed, but was integral to the flow and ambiance of our reception.
my dj didn't command attention well so when we did all our traditional events like the first dance and cake cutting, etc... i felt like no one was watching.
Paul Olson was great to work with during the planning process. My groom and I were pretty specific regarding the music and order we wanted things to happen. Paul is the owner and h...
anded us off to Peter for actual night. Peter was great! He did a wonderful job in keeping things moving along and checking in with us to make sure things were on track. we used their basic package and overall thought they were a great value.
the dj looked like a 70's adult movie star foo man choo and all!
Our DJ was fun, excited and kept the party going! There is nothing like a boring wedding reception, and this was something I was worried about! I recommend them to anyone and reall...
y enjoyed them! They made the day really special!
Their prices were better than other places we looked at and we were very happy with their service. The main guy, Paul Olson, Came out to the venue (my parents back yard) to go over...
the set up and the timeline with us. His input was very helpful and he was very friendly. He was not our DJ because he was a little more expensive than what we had in our budget so I was nervous that we wouldn't like our DJ as much as we liked him. However, we were very happy with the guy we had. He played a good mix of music that included some less common music that my Husband and I like and he had people on the dance floor all night. We even had him say an additional hour, because even though everyone was melting in the heat, noone was ready to stop. He even gave us a mixed cd of some of our requested songs.
