I hired DJ sound dragon to be my DJ during my wedding this summer. I talked to Cameron the owner throughout the process and was under the impression he would be my DJ. I got a call...
two days before my wedding from a worker of his to go over our DJ needs. I was unable to understand him due to his heavy accent, slurred speech, and older age. Concerned, I had my mother contact the owner to see what was going on. Owner Cameron talked with my mother and stated “Her wedding is not as important as the other wedding I have booked.” Cameron stated “I have to go to this other wedding due to more special effects.” My wedding was originally booked first.
Here are a list of issues we had throughout my event:
1. Drove into the venue onto the grass at a fast speed almost hitting my 1.5 year old nephew with their car.
2. Showed up in T shirt and shorts, not business attire.
3. Played four of my songs incorrectly: my exist song from ceremony, my entrance to the reception, my cake cutting song, first dance song, and the single girls dance song.
4. Set up a DJ booth in the middle of a walk area and was not approved to place a booth there.
5. One of the DJs fell asleep in his car for three hours (pictures to prove).
6. Did not follow the request of the bride or groom when they instructed no further requested songs.
7. Announcements were not thought out and were extremely unprofessional.
8. Bride had to keep correcting the DJ throughout her entire wedding on what to play and when. (gave them the document requested for smooth entertainment three months prior)
Called the owner Cameron four separate times leaving for different voicemails in a span of 2.5 months. Have not heard back from owner. due to the inability of getting a hold of the owner of DJ sound dragon, I am writing this review to let people know my experience and utter disappointment. The quality of work was subpar and the inability to contact me regarding the poor service is aggravating. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
My sister hired Sound Dragon for her wedding and it was a HORRIFYING experience. First, he wouldn’t return their calls weeks before the wedding and finally after a bunch of tries (...
including from their planner) he finally responded and said he wasn’t doing weddings anymore, despite the fact they’d already paid him and signed a contract. They basically had to convince him to honor the contract. Then he came 45 minutes late to the wedding and proceeded to play SUPER inappropriate wedding songs throughout the cocktail hour and dinner including My Way (3 times), Hit the Road Jack, and THE BREAKUP SONG. It was almost comically bad. Comical except for the part where the bride started crying from stress. Again, just horrifying, this man should not be in the service industry.

we lost our original venue. Cameron thank you for not only being an awesome DJ but for going above and beyond to connect us with the Scherer’s. Cameron also attended the rehearsal, and played the perfect mix of music as well as accommodating last minute requests throughout the night. e offers. We were terrible customers and literally got him our song list 6 hours before our wedding and he was so great about it! I even wanted to walk down to the Imperial March from star wars and he had it! He was a wonderful MC and made several announcments throughout the night. It was so helpful!!! He was great. 10/10 would use him again. He was honestly the only vendor we hired that did not disappoint
