Sound productions DJ and MC service made our wedding reception! Our first encounter with them was at the NM bridal expo and we were immediately drawn to their lighting and sound. When approaching them to inquire we were blown away by their professionalism, their knowledge and experience in events, and the pride they take in their work. We booked immediately. Our meetings were professional, they took into account what we desired for our reception, and offered us guidance as we needed because we hadn’t been married before. As a very organized individual, I loved that there was a plan as to how things were going to go, it made our reception seamless, I did not have to stress about a timeline, as they kept us informed and in the loop. My husbands family came from out of town and the said our reception was one of the best they had ever been to, and it was Sound Productions that made this happen. Dj Mike had everyone on the dance floor, all night long. We are forever grateful, and they created a night we won’t forget for the rest of our lives, it far exceeded our expectations.

We had our wedding a few weeks ago over labor day weekend and Matthew was a wonderful DJ. Not only were people up and dancing during the reception, but he paid attention to detail and helped us with the flow of our event. We could tell that he has a lot of experience with weddings. Also, the uplighting and monogram looked great in our ballroom. Would definitely recommend. ✨️

Sound Productions was incredible. They not only played good music, but also pretty much ran the whole wedding and made everything go smoothly. There were a few hiccups in the wedding, but Sound Productions worked with the our other vendors and handled it very well. They customized their services to us and carried out our vision perfectly. Our top three priorities for our wedding were our venue, our food, and our entertainment and our guests' feedback reflected that we did a stellar job in picking all three. We met with Sound Productions the week of the wedding for almost 2 hours, making sure that they had all the music we needed, that we knew what parts of the songs would be used for the ceremony, and that we were on the same page as to what to expect for the big day. Sound Productions is so much more than music for the day - they were part planner, advisor, entertainer, coordinator, and wrangler. I stumbled upon Matthew Martinez at a Wedding Expo a couple years ago when I started planning my wedding and let me tell you, he is by far the BEST DJ! He explains everything he needs from the couple in an itinerary that is to be filled out as it gets closer to the wedding and he gets to know the couple very well in a introduction meeting. He will make your wedding process run so smooth and will even tell you himself “don’t worry about anything, just enjoy yourself”. Our wedding was 2 weeks ago and everyone danced from the minute he started playing music until it was time to leave the reception! If you’re looking for an amazing DJ for your wedding, you need to book with him!!

Matt took his time and a lot of notes. He heard my vision and brought it to life. My husband and I went with the Pro Exclusive Package! All the bells and whistles. Worth every penny. Matthew and his wife were our DJ's in Taos. We are not musical families so hiring a DJ seemed daunting. Matthew had everyone on the dance floor all night from 7-12. No one wanted the night to end, and all generations participated and had a great time. Great follow up, great customer service, and really nice guy. Highly recommend using them.

Matthew was my first choice in hiring a DJ for our wedding. He has done other events for my family including my sister’s wedding and he was amazing as usual. Prior to our wedding we had meetings to talk about the big day and go over music we wanted to hear. He calmed my nerves and added to the excitement. Our wedding was delayed due to rain, which in turn delayed our reception. We even had a few hiccups regarding our wedding party, but Matthew was patient and understanding and went with the flow. Matt was an amazing LGBTQ friendly DJ for our wedding! He was so organized, prepared, detail oriented and kept the party going all night! My now wife and I loved how he checked in with us throughout the entire event to make sure everything was going as planned or if anything needed changing. Where do I even begin???? I got married in 2004 and people to THIS DAY talk about how much fun my wedding was! EVERYONE talked about my DJ!! Matthew Martinez is such a professional! He not only knows the art of being a DJ, but he knows weddings! He knows what should and shouldn't happen! Fast forward from my wedding in 2004 to my daughter's wedding in August 2019...there was no question when it came to selecting a DJ! From the first moment we sat down to meet with him he brought up scenarios that we would have otherwise never thought of! He did the sound for my daughter's ceremony as well as the reception and dance. He directed everyone where to go and what to do! We had some mishaps with the venue dropping the ball on some key moments for my daughter's wedding, but thanks to Matthew the evening still appeared FLAWLESS to our guests! Matthew Martinez was just amazing! Very professional and extremely helpful from start to finish. He took the time to make sure he did everything he could to make our night just perfect. -He came to Santa Fe just to see our venue, since he hadn't been there in a while. Just to make sure he knew exactly what he had to work with before it was showtime. -I needed serious help with making decisions and he was there to give suggestions and walk us through it. -He directed our timeline for the evening. So incredibly helpful! -He listened to everything we said & what we wanted. -He was so patient. Some guests thought it was more important for the bride to pay attention to them, instead of answering our MC's questions. He not only was extremely patient with them, he knew exactly how to handle the situation. -He saved the evening. Our venue messed up quite a bit and we had very little time left over to party. Matt took it in stride and pulled us out of the mess. We not only got through everything we wanted to do, we still had time to have a fantastic time dancing the night away. Matt knew exactly what to do and how to get the party going. It was a true honor to have him as our DJ and MC. Wish the night didn't have to end so soon. We chose Matt to DJ our wedding due to his wonderful reviews and professionalism from the very first phone call on day one! From the way he was dressed, to the state of the art- high-tech equipment he brought for our event, everything was PERFECT. Sound Productions DJ and MC provided exceptional service at our out-of-town Ski Area Wedding June 24th, 2017. There were many challenges which were handled gracefully, from a forecast of rain at our outdoor venue, to the groom walking down the aisle a song early! DJ Ray knew our ceremony playlist well, and was able to fade our "guests-take-seats" song and transition to the "Wedding-Party-Enter-Ceremony" song seamlessly. DJ Ray arrived with plenty of time to set up in a place he had never been, set up the alter with a microphone and speakers, and begin playing our genre of music requested, all without any need for direction from me on the day of. It was so stress free the day of because we had planned everything out during two face to face meetings. We paid for a package deal including all travel and set up for ceremony and reception services. We were stretching the 6-hour package from the exact start time (4pm) of the ceremony to the end time (10pm), however DJ Ray was kind enough to begin playing our requested genre music as guests began arriving at 3:30pm, and ended perfectly on our requested last song of the night "Dancing in the Moonlight" at 10pm. DJ Ray communicated well throughout the evening and the dance floor was filled all night. The MC services provided kept us on schedule and allowed us to have an amazing wedding without the need for a wedding planner or day of coordinator. Thank you, DJ Ray and Matthew Martinez for providing the perfect atmosphere and coordination at our wedding. PS: Every wedding I attend where there is an iPod playlist and rented speakers, the dance floor comes to a pause during that 1-2 second silence between songs. When this happens, I lean into my husband and whisper, "I am glad we had a DJ at our wedding..."

Definitely the best DJ in town (or nearby). He made the dance floor stay alive by playing music everyone loved. He saw what drew the crowd and stuck to playing crowd pleasers. Our ceremony went off without a hitch, he began songs at the appropriate cue times and was in tune with what was happening able to begin our communion song on time and ensuring adequate volume in a room with echo. During our reception we had his up lighting for the venue that truly transformed our room. It made our venue look more beautiful than it already was and created an ambiance and mood of class and fun at the same time. He went above and beyond his calling to ensure that everything was in place and that we would be free of any added stressors. When things changed and our table had to be placed too far from our table so nobody would see us cut it, he himself had the cake brought to us so that it would be in view and that we wouldn't be inconvenienced. Our first dance and dances with our parents were beautiful thanks to his coordinating with us how the progression would flow. He ensured our best man and maid of honor knew all of their roles so that they could help with the flow of the night. He gave us options for every possible desire we had and even when things could have been awkward (I.e. No line in our honeymoon dance) he encouraged the guests to where they eventually lined up to come and dance with us and had fun. Our party/dancing music had everyone having a good time with even my wife's 81 year old grandma got up to dance with everyone. There was much fun and life at our wedding and I need to attribute a lot of it to the exceptional professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail by DJ Matt. I would want nobody else to DJ and MC event for me but him!
