Southern Blooms by Pat's Floral Design

We loved working with Pat and her team over the months we planned our wedding. They were easy to work with and they delivered beautiful arrangements and decorations that really made our day extra gorgeous with pops of colors that accentuated the beautiful autumn colors of our outdoor ceremony space and the indoor reception space. I didn't have to worry about a thing because I knew that they had everything under control and that I would love the results based on the experiences of friends and what I have seen them do for other events. I would also like to note that they are 100% willing to help you cut down costs if that is a concern, and they will provide ideas on how to do so. I highly recommend them.

Southern Blooms exceeded my already high expectations. I had hired them based on their excellent reputation and they certainly delivered! The flowers at our wedding were stunning - they really transformed the entire space. Guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. Pat and Sherry are wonderful people to work with and were great at listening to what we wanted and then making our vision a reality. Everything looked perfect and we couldn't have been happier.

We were thrilled to work with Southern Blooms. They were a pleasure to work with from the beginning (happy to adjust our orders as small details changed leading up to the big day) and WOW were the flowers amazing. We received SO many compliments from our guests. I didn't realize floral arrangements could have such an impact on our wedding -- but they did. And we will treasure our photos of their arrangements as well as the pressings that I am so glad we ordered.

I was extremely excited to work with Pat’s Floral Design/Southern Blooms for our Charlottesville wedding. We met with them in person twice and thoroughly enjoyed Pat and Sherry. We felt that they were enthusiastic, helpful and knew exactly the look we were trying to achieve. The email communication over the months was challenging as responses were often slow and required a follow up email prior to getting an answer. Perhaps our wedding day was a fluke because it was planned to be outdoors and the forecast was calling for rain, but we were ultimately quite disappointed with our wedding flowers. Our floral budget was large and we did not get what we paid for. Our arbor, which was supposed to be large and lush, was skimpy and only had artificial flowers. The artificial flowers were a surprise as this was not something we had discussed (and in fact there were no real flowers on our arbor!). While the floral chandelier above the head table wow-ed many of our guests, it was still not as full as what we had discussed. The centerpieces were also disappointing and not what I had expected. The bouquets, however, were beautiful. I expressed my disappointment to the Southern Blooms team and I appreciated their response and apology. They insisted that they had worked hard and that the uncertainty about the weather affected the ultimate product. So while it may have been a fluke, I WAS disappointed and still have an ache in my heart for what our florals could have/should have been.

We used Southern Blooms through our venue and only listed some colors. My bouquet matched our wedding theme perfectly! The flowers lasted for almost 2 weeks after the wedding as well. The boutonniere and flowers for the cake were also very nice. Overall exactly the experience we were hoping for.

Sherry and Pat were truly wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. We knew what we liked but they had a way of capturing it and bringing it to life. They were very professional and excellent at offering cost saving suggestions to help us stay within our budget. Everyone noticed our florals at the wedding and commented how our venue felt like it had been transformed into an enchanted, romantic garden. So glad we made the right choice for a florist!! Thanks, Pat and Sherry for making our day so beautiful.

I am not even sure where to begin with the team over at Southern Blooms. 5 stars just doesn't seem enough for their FANTASTIC team (so to all of your ladies over there, know that I am really giving you 100 stars!!!). From the first time I met with the team at their adorable shop in Madison, they made me feel extremely confident in my choice to work with them. They were flexible with me on my budget, helped me dig through my pinterest boards to pull together a cohesive decision, and beyond wonderful to work with. A few weeks before my wedding, I had a complete change of vision and asked the team at Southern Blooms if I could come back for a visit to discuss my new vision... and BOY did they execute it. When my flowers arrived the day of my wedding, I ACTUALLY cried. The bouquets were like something out of a magazine and the centerpieces/aisle decor was everything and more that I hoped for. The amount of compliments I received are too many to count on how wonderfully the florals had been executed. LADIES-- you are truly a magical team to work with and I cant thank you enough for being so PERFECT to me!!!

Southern Blooms provided our bouquets and boutonnieres, and they were absolutely perfect. They accommodated certain special requests, and were incredibly responsive throughout the planning process. Delivery on the big day was prompt and seamless. We appreciated working with Pat and her team. Thank you for everything.

Went in for a consultation, and wasn't even heard. I knew that sunflowers would be difficult to find for April, but when I was told I couldn't get purple flowers I was irritated. After that, it was no longer about what I wanted it was what they wanted and what would make it easier for them. There is no doubt that they would have made beautiful work. But when she stopped asking me what I wanted, I no longer wanted to work with them.

These ladies are the most talented, kindest, sweetest, souls on the planet and I am so incredibly happy with how beautifully our flowers for our wedding turned out! I could not have envisioned anything more perfect for what I'd wanted - they blew me away. They took my color scheme and my ideas and took everything to the next level. And, they treated me like an absolute princess!!! I was not a high-budget bride by any stretch, and the way they showed me so much attention and patience with an ever-changing mind was such a blessing. (Literally down to the day before the wedding!!) I am so, so happy that we were able to work with Pat & Sherry and I just adore them, the way they run their business, and the immense talent their entire staff has for beautiful flowers AND amazing customer service!! Thank you SO much!!

The best of the best. I looked at a lot of florists but you really can't beat the quality and experience of Southern Blooms. I was a picky bride, and they were so accommodating and helpful. Not only were our bouquets beautiful, but they held up well throughout the day and night. I would absolutely recommend them! Worth every dollar!

Southern Blooms is the best! They had such great ideas and created the most beautiful arbor with flowers, centerpieces and bouquets for my wedding. So nice, easy and excellent to work with!

In hiring southern blooms, we knew we would be getting beautiful flowers for our wedding. We had a great first consultation, but when it got closer to the wedding date and we wanted to finalize details and vision, sherry and pat were comfortable with a phone call. After this, I was still not comfortable so exchanged several emails about vision and thought they understood what I wanted, however, when I was brought my bouquet for my first look, I was so deeply disappointed. It was nothing like I had envisioned and nothing like the pictures I had exchanged with sherry and Pat. For a $6000 floral budget, we had only one face to face meeting--do not expect more. The florals at the reception were very pretty but for our budget, I would have hoped for better service. The office staff also go 8-10 days without responding to emails or phone calls, which can be stressful during wedding planning.

Southern Blooms created beautiful arrangements for our wedding! They were able to help bring our vision to life! I was so in love with my bridal bouquet! We loved getting to know them and work with them! They went above and beyond to provide us with exactly what we wanted!

It's very simple: If you're getting married in Virginia, call Southern Blooms... Before the whole world realizes how incredibly good they are at what they do and they're booked up 'til the end of time!! Southern Blooms did the flowers for our wedding day and, from one flower snob to any other, they are the very best. I used to work in floral design in Los Angeles, CA and was petrified at the thought of handing over the job on my wedding day to someone I didn't know. But Southern Blooms, didn't just meet my expectations, they fully surpassed them and I could never thank them enough for it.

We chose Pat's based on their fantastic reputation. Pat and Sherry absolutely exceeded expectations, and everything they delivered was top-notch. They've been doing this for a long time and had lots of great tips for what in-season flowers to use as well as how to re-use flowers during the course of the day to save money. They do amazing work and are simply the best florists in the Charlottesville area. Pat and Sherry were professional, responsive and accommodating during the entire process. They accommodated a special ribbon request and were responsive to numerous changes up until wedding day. We received numerous compliments both during and after the reception about the flowers. We would absolutely use them again and would enthusiastically recommend them to friends and family.

Flowers were one of the top priorities for the wedding. I have seen Pat and Sherry's work from other events and choosing Southern Blooms was a no brainer. During our initial meeting, they spent over an hour with me listening to my ideas and brainstorming. They really make sure that they get everything right and they do make sure that they stay within your budget. I made so many changes within that year and they were able to accommodate everything via email- they responded usually within 48 hours. When I walked into the venue on my wedding day, I was blown away. The flowers were lush, colorful, and beautiful. I am still receiving so many compliments on the flowers. I do advise that you set a budget, communicate your ideas, provide colors and swatches, and then let them take it from there. They will not disappoint.

Pat and Sherry (and their whole team for that matter) are AMAZING! Within a minute of walking into my first meeting, I knew I'd be booking Southern Blooms/Pat's Floral Designs. Their enthusiasm and creativity is unmatched. As I flipped through their albums and they showed me images on their laptops, I was astounded by the number of weddings they've done. My wedding was probably above average by Knot standards, but average for the Charlottesville area. Pat and Sherry acted as though my wedding was important and exciting to them. My bouquet was a stunning piece of art. I wish I could have carried it longer! We had many comments about the flowers and one of my aunts said the table arrangements were the most beautiful ones she's ever seen at a wedding. My mother LOVED her corsage and commented on the fact that they used magnets to secure them to her dress (when my brothers got married, pins left holes in her dresses). My only regrets: I only saw one person from the team on my wedding day. They are so stealth! They set everything up and disappeared before we even did our first look. One of them must have been there because our ceremony flowers got incorporated into the reception decor (which I so appreciated...I hated the idea of wasting all those pretty flowers!). Also, I kind of wish I had just told them the budget and my colors and let them to do whatever they wanted from there. They are SO creative that I bet they would have blown me away if I let them surprise me.

I wanted something classic, but not totally predictable. Pat's was the answer to all my floral desires! We had amazing arrangements with blooming dogwood and blue hyacinth, along with blue and white hydrangea. They were incredible, and so fragrant. The bridesmaids bouquets of mostly white hydrangea set off the blue of their dresses and the bold blue bouquet I carried really stood out against my ivory and champagne lace gown. It made for amazing photos. We let them basically design the altar arrangements on their own, and they were absolutely phenomenal. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Pat's created absolutely perfect floral arrangements for our wedding. They listened to what we wanted and gave us more than we could have imagined! They are very talented artists.

Everything was beautiful and they pinpointed exactly what I wanted. They had it all and were willing to work with us on the design and budget.

Pat and her team were incredibly helpful. They have a great eye for beauty and a persons taste. I would recommend them to everyone for their wedding as they were so great to work with and create such an amazing product.

Pat's was very easy to work with and I loved the arrangements and centerpieces they designed for us. The bouquets were beautiful and the boutonnieres were simple and classic. They worked with our budget and were very reliable and professional.

Pat's Floral was such a great team to work with. They were very prompt in all their responses and brought great ideas to our initial meeting. My flowers were perfect and lasted for a long time after the wedding! The peony bouquet I had was perfect and everyone has given me compliments on it. They arrived early, set everything up, and even included the most thoughtful handkerchief with a monogram letter for my new last name to wipe off my bouquet with. Couldn't have been better!

Pat's blew me away! I sat with them a showed them what I didn't like and showed them what I did like, but let them run away with what they do best! I had more ocmpliments on floral arrangements and they could not have made our day more beautiful! I HIGHLY recommend Pat and Sherry!!!

Pat's floral design took my pictures and ideas and made it happen. There were different designs for the centerpeices and she made sure they all tied together. The bouquets were exactly as I wanted. The flowers were fesh and esactly the colors I wanted. However, they were difficult to get a hold of and were very busy so I felt my wedding was on the back burner. ...however, they pulled through at the end and came under budget.

They did an absolutely beautiful job! Our flowers were perfect and exactly what we'd described, and they were wonderfully patient and helpful.

I wasn't very concerned with the flowers and thought they just sort of were there, but once they arrived I realized how important they were. Our bouquets were beautiful. The service day of was really great. They were difficult to contact leading up to the wedding but they did a really wonderful job.

They were wonderful I gave them creative freedom and I loved everything they did.
