Katlyn was absolutely amazing as our wedding planner! She met with us many times throughout the planning process, was always very organized, and made everything come together the day of the wedding. I could not have imagined a more perfect night, and it would not have been possible at all without Katlyn and her team at Southern Gates. She set us up with all of the vendors and did ALL of the decorations and arrangements. It was absolutely gorgeous. She is so knowledgable and great at planning weddings, and I am SO happy we booked with Southern Gates! Absolutely worth every penny!

Katlyn is truly talented at what she does. She is professional and attentive and always helpful. I would not have been able to accomplish what she did by myself. My daughter’s wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to Katlyn.

Southern Gates Weddings and Events and the owner Katlyn Gates and her team were phenomenal! I originally was going to do everything myself and then decided to hire a wedding planner. Katlyn stepped right in and was a miracle worker. She had lists of vendors that she has close connections with and was able to make everything totally stress free for the groom and me. She listens and is patient and is totally organized. I had zero stress knowing she was in charge and had everything under control.

Katlyn and her team are nothing short of phenomenal. They made the entire wedding planning process, from selecting vendors and venues all the way to orchestrating and organizing the actual event, incredibly seamless. Knowing that she and her entourage had all of the countless details taken care of made it so much easier to sit back, relax, and really enjoy the day. I never felt any stress because I knew they were behind the scenes AND had my best interest and my parents’ in mind. I highly recommend her services; trust me- it’s worth every penny!!! Now I need to find another excuse to have another event just to hire them again!!

Katlyn planned 2 weddings for my daughter (the first was cancelled due to the virus) She planned and excited a second wedding with totally different venue theme etc.,. In 2 months. The perfect small unique beach wedding . We all enjoyed the day . Thanks to this amazing lady. She is always so kind, positive , and professional . She is a real make it happen person . Katlyn is such a sweet person that truly cares about your big day. She checked up on my weekly throughout my wedding planning process to make sure all the details were in placed and that I wasn’t stressed out. She worked so hard to make sure that everything was perfect and she did it with a smile. She is such a light to be around and she does everything was such politeness & professionalism. I couldn’t imagine planning my wedding without her.

No bride every expects their wedding to fall in the middle of a pandemic. With all of the uncertainty going on in the world, Katlyn was there to hold me hand and say “we will make whatever you want to happen, happen”. For me, this involved changing a 250+ people barn hometown wedding, to a immediate family only destination elopement style wedding on the beach. I didn’t have time to make it happen, I’m a full time educator and coach, and definitely not the DIY type gal. Katlyn made every call, every check in, and every crafty detail happen so that I could continue to be the woman I am, and still be a beautiful bride. She and my amazing vendor team came together and gave me the wedding I never knew I wanted but was everything and more that I could have dreamed of. No way it would have happened without her help. Brides, you can’t do it all and you shouldn’t. Let Katlyn do what she does best, and lighten your bridal load. You will not be sorry!

Katlyn was so easy to work with! From finding a venue to handling all the details with vendors, she was a dream. When things had to change due to COVID, she didn’t blink an eye. The very best part? I was able to enjoy the day as Mother of the Bride without ANY worries. Katlyn handled it all.

Katlyn took my wedding on by storm! Literally. (It rained on my wedding day but I didn't even know it, because Katlyn kept me away from all windows and preoccupied to even worry abut the weather!) Months leading up to my wedding, Katlyn made herself available for every little detail and answered every single phone call! She met with me more times than I think we even agreed upon in her contract - just to calm my nerves. Thank you to Katlyn & her team for making my wedding such a success!

Mine and Jason's day was truly exactly the way we wanted it without trying much at all. At times we felt like everything was falling apart and we didn't know if it would even happen. All we knew is that our love is true and God's power is strong and this made the day happen. So many great people came into oue lives and one of these people was my Katlyn Gates​​ owner of Southern Gates Weddings & Events. I called her at the last minute knowing I needed a director to run the show, I couldn't do it on my own and I wanted my family and friends to be able to enjoy the day. Katlyn not only stepped in the help but blew everyone away with her knowledge and expertise in the wedding feild. I got loads of complements after the wedding was over directed toward Katlyn. She knows what she's doing and she takes care of every little detail from making sure mine and Jason's car was all packed up with our belongings and even personalized cups and napkins from the day, fixing our plates and treating us like prince and princess, and making sure I was packed for the honeymoon, to making contacts for with my photographer, florist, and musicians to make sure everyone was on the same page. She thought of things I would have never dreamed or considered. Katlyn has natural talent in the wedding buisness and if you are wanting a beautiful day that is worry free you need to contact Southern Gates!

Katlyn was such a great wedding planner! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! She was very good at eliminating stress for us in preparation for our big day! She always offered to meet us anytime we needed her to discuss wedding issues, she even came to my house to print out vinyl for our entrance mirrors, and she always instilled positivity in us by telling us how much progress we have made in the wedding planning process! She was very good at making sure all the vendors were on the same page and knew where they were suppose to be and when! She also was well organized! Every time we met with her she had a checklist of what we have accomplished and what we still have left to do! This definitely helped keep us on track because having a wedding can be very overwhelming and get out of hand very quickly! Another thing I liked about Katlyn was that she had multiple wedding items that she let us borrow for our big day, such as card box, centerpieces, and much more! We highly recommend Katlyn for your wedding planning needs!
