I've been with the Southernmost Beach Resort for 15 years as the Sales Manager responsible for all wedding events on property. I even hosted my own wedding at the Southernmost in December 2017. I have seen the property through many changes; upgrades and new amenities that our hotel guests and wedding clients love. I enjoy working with my couples from the initial contact through their wedding day - and some when they come back for their anniversary and baby-moon stays. I have lived in Key West for 21 years now, so I can offer guidance on the resort as well as Key West and its many vendors.

JennaRose was our event coordinator & she was great to work with. The venue had some damage from hurricane Ian so we had to move our ceremony site, but the staff were seamless in making it work. Everything was beautiful, food was excellent & staff were attentive!

I'll start by saying that our August wedding at the Southernmost Beach Resort in Key West was my dream come true. I had the time of my life and I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire day thanks to our amazing team of vendors. Planning our wedding with JenaRose was a great experience. As a very type-A person, I had A LOT of questions and Jena never once complained or was rude about answering them! The booking process was easy and it turned out to be everything we could have dreamed of and more. The wait staff at our event was also great. Very professional and we felt like royalty! Now, the same cannot be said for the front desk staff at the hotel. Despite the chaotic construction going on during our stay (of which we were informed ahead of time), we and most of our guests stayed at the resort. Most of our guests had to be bumped down from the oceanview rooms they booked due to construction, which was ok but then their rooms were still not ready when they arrived and they had to pay the same rate for a lesser-level room. Towards the end of our stay I called the front desk to inquire about shipping my bridal bouquet to be pressed, to which I was dismissively told to "Google it." On our last day we requested a late check out at 3 PM so we could enjoy our day and take our time gathering up all of our wedding decor/clothes/etc before our 7 PM flight. Rhonda at the front desk refused to give us a later check out than noon.... on a Tuesday... after we had stayed for a week and spend THOUSANDs of dollars at the resort already. Finally, she agreed to give us until 3 for a half day rate, which she indicated was $200. A little irritated, I conceded as we needed the room until 3. Minutes later she called me back to tell me the rate "just refreshed" and was actually going to be more than double that cost to stay for 3 extra hours. When I asked to speak to the manager, she hung up on me. I have never felt more belittled and frustrated in my life. We had SUCH a great experience with the sales and group reservations teams and then to end our trip with that ultimate low was really disappointing. To the point where we told them we wouldn't be coming back for our first anniversary trip and she responded, "I'm sorry you feel that way." Customer service was definitely lacking in areas of the resort and it's really sad that a highly rated resort has people like that to ruin an otherwise fantastic experience. The resort itself is nice, but don't expect a 5-star luxury place. It's Key West luxury! It had everything we needed and our guests had a great time at our wedding.

Picking out a Venue for your destination wedding without doing it in person is a big deal! We got engaged in Oct 2018 and I started researching the next month. I feel in love with Southernmost Beach Resort, it has so much charm! They have a Private Beach on site that is where we had our ceremony and our reception was held on the public beach, sitting next door to The Southernmost’s Beach Cafe. I based my pick solely on pictures and the fact that both ceremony & reception would be held on the beach - which is what we wanted. The resort itself is located in or near Old Towne Key West and that reflects in the architecture. When we checked in, we had a bottle of champagne, a charcuterie board & a thank you note from the resort, thanking us for choosing them for our wedding & stay! What a nice touch! The staff & bartenders were amazing during our stay! I booked Southernmost by February 2019 and immediately started working with JenaRose, who answered all my questions promptly and helped me with decisions, for the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception details. We got married on February 22nd, 2020 at Southernmost and it was beautiful! My research paid off and I truly enjoyed my wedding! I’m so happy I picked this resort for our big day! Also, we ate at the Cafe multi times on our stay in KW, the food was top notch! Thank you, Riki & Tyler

We had our wedding at The Southernmost Beach Resort on April 28th on the beach. I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined our wedding anymore beautiful then it was. Everything was perfect, everything. The wait staff was phenomenal and very nice. Over the top service, exceptional food, (that the guests still rave about) & gorgeous views. I wouldn’t change a single thing if we were to do it all over! The wedding planning process was a breeze with JenaRose. She was very prompt to answer emails and very easy to communicate with. I can not thank everyone who had a role in our wedding enough for making our day absolutely perfect. 💗

I wish there was a 4.5 star. Jena was awesome to work with, food was amazing and our bartender was amazing... my only complaint was that we were supposed to have a tendant telling people to walk around instead of through our wedding and we didn’t. There were random people from the resort walking through our ceremony while I was trying to walk out with my dad and girls in bathing suits walking through our reception. Not a huge deal but a little frustrating. Other than that I would absolutely recommend this resort but just make sure you have a tendant.

We held our wedding and reception at SOMO on June 1, 2018. JenaRose and Jane were great to work with. They made planning for the venue and room block a breeze. The staff at SOMO set up beautifully and provided impeccable service. They truly gave us the perfect wedding. We wouldn’t have changed a thing!

When my now husband and I went to take a tour of the Southernmost Beach Resort we immediately knew this was the venue we wanted to get married at! With less than a year to plan, we had to get moving! Jane Brannigan, the Group Sales Manager was so wonderful to work with. I had her send me many different room rates for many different dates and she was always so friendly and willing to help! When we signed our contract we began working with JenaRose McCall, the Catering Sales Manager. She is extremely professional and knows the ins and outs of the business and the resort. I had a lot of questions for her and she was always so helpful! The resort itself is breathtaking. We had many guests traveling from all over the world, and we could not wait for them to experience the resort and Key West. Everyone was treated with top notch service during their entire stay. There was not one complaint, and people are already saying they can’t wait to go back! As for the wedding, we chose to have the rehearsal dinner, wedding and post wedding brunch all at the resort. It made things so much easier, as people were not traveling around Key West for the different events. The rehearsal dinner was held at the Tranquility Pool. The space was set up so beautifully, the food and drinks were great. The day of the wedding I rented out the conference room space which was a perfect idea. When we got to the room the morning of the wedding it was set up with chilled bottles of water, mirrors, and other little details like cotton balls, q-tips, makeup wipes. Our ceremony took place on the private beach. It was absolutely breathtaking! The reception took place on South beach, and it was outstanding! The food and drinks were out of this world, service was top notch! I cannot recommend this resort enough !

We did not use Southernmost as our wedding venue, but rather as the resort we stayed during our wedding weekend. My husband & I live locally in the Keys & often head to Key West for a weekend, having stayed here many times. We opted for Southernmost for their spacious rooms, & wonderful location. The staff was so amazing! The bridesmaids got ready in our room, having hair & makeup done there as well. (Some hotels in Key West do not allow this.) The staff checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything. We had our 1st look photos taken on the property & they turned out beautiful!

We had our wedding here on South Beach January 14, 2017. The resort was beautiful, the staff was very friendly. We booked 7 rooms - double queens, king balcony and king partial ocean view. All were spacious and comfortable. Our family members were all thrilled with their accommodations! Great location at the end of Duval Street, wonderful pools, bars and cafe. Our wedding coordinator Jena was very helpful throughout the year long planning process. The reception food was amazing. And of course, getting married barefoot on the beach was my dream come true. Highly recommend!

We loved having everyone at the same hotel. We were a group of 27 for a destination wedding and the hotel suited almost everyone's needs. The location can't be beat, at the end of Duval makes getting anywhere easy. The attached Cafe is convinent and delicious and it has beach front. It by far is the best of all worlds for Key West. Don't forget to call for a group discount.

We stayed at the Southernmost on the Beach for our Honeymoon and we got a King's room Ocean front view... IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! My husband kept saying "This is the first place I've been to where the room looks EXACTLY like the pictures online." We had a HUGE wrap around deck with the Ocean right in front of us. Every morning we would sit on the deck and watch the sun rise as we ate breakfast, it was very romantic. The room was also VERY spacious with a HUGE walk in shower, fridge, and bar! All the staff was VERY helpful and made out stay more enjoyable! Our room was ALWAYS clean and room service would come twice a day to clean the room then close the blinds at 6PM when the sun was setting. We will FOR SURE be visiting here again!

The Southernmost Hotel Collection was absolutely fabulous to work with. They were helpful and always very quick to reply to emails. The whole wedding was absolutely gorgeous because of their attention to detail. Because we were coming into KW from out of town, we were unable to do a tasting, but our food was AMAZING. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! Overall, this was the perfect place to get married and I wouldn't change it.

Everything from our room, guest's rooms, staff, wedding and ceremony were absolutely perfect!! The prices for rooms and wedding packages were reasonable! The resort came with a fantastic preferred list that made planning very easy! I cannot say one bad thing, I highly recommend this resort for your wedding! We will be coming back with our guests for many anniversaries... all of our guests did not want to leave! WE LOVE THE SOUTHERNMOST RESORT!! <3 Happy Bride!

Melissa with the Southernmost was amazing and very attentive. She was very detailed oriented and made our wedding a fairy tale. The food was amazing and the service was even better. We could not have been happier with our wedding food and location! I would highly recommend the Southernmost and wouldn't have changed a thing about the actual wedding. The reservation side of the Southernmost needs help, and management didn't seem to care when they lost guests reservations and placed us(the bride and groom) in the wrong room. When clearly upset by it the day before our wedding the "manager" just shrugged and said sorry. It was clear to us we were just another bride and groom to them while this was our only wedding and special day. We still would recommend the Southernmost to another bride for her wedding, I would just recommend your guests stay elsewhere. The site itself will make you forget about any of the hotel issues and Melissa is so great to brides and makes certain you feel like a bride should on her wedding day.

We stayed at the Southernmost Hotel on the Beach. The rooms were spectacular, and the hotel is located on what little beach is available in Key West. It was just a couple blocks from the Southernmost Point. The activities coordinator, Boomer, kept us entertained daily. The food at the cafe/restaurant is delicious, and the pool bar has incredible drinks!

We had our ceremony and reception on the beach next to the beach cafe. It was laid back wedding that fit us as a couple perfectly. We are from jersey and never went down to look or try anything and everything was great. The food delicious and atmosphere relaxed. We had 60+ friends and family take the trip and they are still raving about it. We highly recommend this place for a beach wedding!

The price and atmosphere was amazing, can't ask for better pictures, scenery, etc. but the coordinator is very busy and not around. If you are a laid back bride and just want a great beach wedding I would recommend it. The food, waiters, and bartenders are great.

I would highly recommend the Southernmost Hotel Collection. Melissa was excellent to work with. She made planning a wedding less stressful because she was so on top of things. The location was beautiful and the food was great. Everything I had requested was done as said. This is a great place to have a wedding in Key West. It was perfect!

We had our March wedding on the beach at the Southernmost on the Beach outside the cafe and I can't even tell you how wonderful it was! Absolutely perfect ...we couldn't have been happier! Staff was amazing! ... food was amazing! ... atomosphere was amazing! Everything was so so great!

I went down right before CHristmas for my wedding. They had the palm trees' trunks all lit up w/ Christmas lights (white). It made my pictures look fantastic. Not to mention that the food was divine! They were very hospitable, and the wedding coordinator was great,too! I woudl DEFINITELY recommend anyone going there to stay and have your weddign there. I can't imagine having mine anywhere else!

Our honeymoon began in Key West and we stayed at the Southernmost. People said we would be too far away from all of the excitement but it was the perfect location for a honeymoon. It was a really nice hotel and steps from the beach. The restaurant was good, a bit pricey but it is KEy West, and the people were so nice. We were treated like royalty!

We loved that everything was outside. We also loved that everyone could walk to our venue from where they were staying, but it wasn't on the busy our loud end of town. The location was stunning, and everything was just perfect. We had guests asking us to do it again the following year!;The biggest warning is that they now charge $20,000 to rent our site. It has become so popular for weddings. When we booked it, we paid a mere $2,500 to reserve the whole pool area for a full day.

it was on the beach, very romantic and serene.it was the location of my dreams. the table was set up right on the beach, behind where we were married, we had a steel drummer, he was placed right beside us. it was magical
