Southland DJs and Photo Booth

They were amazing and made our night! They kept everyone on the dance floor. Communication was great and they provided great customer service. 10/10 reccomend.

My husband and I highly recommend southland DJs for your event! We had a great time and so did our guests. From the moment we contacted them they were always super attentive to our needs to make sure they play the music exactly as we wanted it! Our DJ, Nathaniel was at the reception on time, made sure we had everything we needed, animated the party and conducted the reception in both English and Spanish as most of our guests only spoke Spanish. Thank you guys for giving us such a great time!

Highly recommend Southland DJ! We used them for both our DJ and phot booth and they did an incredible job. I am always picky about DJ’s at other weddings and often find that they don’t do a good job of reading the crowd or they play songs for way too long. Our DJ, Seun, did a fantastic job of paying songs to match our group and I never felt like songs were dragging out too long or that people were bored. The dance floor was crowded the entire time and he did a great job of mixing up genres but making them fit together. We gave him a playlist of songs we wanted played, ranging from slow country to 80s to line dances and modern hits. He did a great job of playing them all. He even cut my father daughter dance song last minute so that it wasn’t too long but still played the ending (and it sounded seamless). The Photo Booth was also a huge hit - we got tons of compliments! We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

We had an amazing experience with Southlands DJ’s and Photo Booth! They made our wedding the day of our dreams and left us with a personalised Photo Booth photo album that all of our guests were able to leave a special note next to a copy of their pictures! Truly amazing company and we could not be happier with how they did our wedding!

We got married October 2022, Michael Mendez was our DJ and did a wonderful job! He was very flexible and helpful with our planning, as well as patient! He executed our evening flawlessly and provided great energy to our BIG day! We highly recommend Southland DJ's, especially with Michael Mendez as a DJ!

Nikkita was awesome! I sent him so many emails leading up to my wedding, and he was always so kind, helpful, and knowledgable. On our wedding day he helped everything run so smoothly, I didn't have to worry at all. He also kept the party going, such a fun night!!!! So glad we found him!

I CAN NOT recommend this DJ enough. We had Michael and he was a true wedding day life saver. We had a timing issue with the food (totally my fault) and Michael came into the bridal suite with myself and the groom to go over the options to fix the timing mess up with the dances, anniversary dance, etc. He completely handled solutions to fix a few things, and removed all the stress from us. On top of that, he vibed with the crowd the entire night! From hip hop, to pop music to, some great 90s country, Michael was on top of everything. It was the funnest night ever, we could not have asked for a more supportive guy. I've told all my close friends to go with Southland and request Michael!

I cannot rave enough about Southland DJs! The vision I had for my wedding day not only came to life but exceeded all expectations because of Tony, Ana and Melinda. They made my day so special and were so personable that they felt more like friends celebrating with me. All of my guests felt the exact same way too! I had last minute requests and Tony made it all possible and was happy to help. I seriously cannot recommend them enough and wish I could relive that day just to hang out with them more! We hired Southland DJs for a photobooth and, while we personally didn’t get to enjoy it a ton during our reception because we were so busy, we heard soooo many good things from our guests! We were able to take a couple of photos and Tony was so energetic! He was so friendly with everyone that came his way which goes way above how I’ve seen some operators at other weddings be. I’m so glad we hired them and absolutely adore the cute photos we got from it. Everyone in the photo could get their own copy as well and Tony was not shy about printing off as many as were needed! The reception was such a whirlwind trying to say hi to everyone that I feel we missed quite a few moments but the photos from the photobooth makes up for that. They gifted us a physical photo album with notes from all the guests who took photos and also gave the photos to us digitally. They were so pleasant to work with as well and I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Wow! What an amazing company! They went above and beyond for us! When they arrived they helped move tables to make a better dance floor. Continuously checked in on us to make sure we were happy with music and guidance. We did not have a coordinator at our wedding and we didn’t even need one. Michael made announcements throughout so there was no lag throughout the evening, and kept everything on schedule! He got us our plates of food while we welcomed our guests. The music selection was exactly what we asked for. And of course the photo booth is a must! Thank you so much for making our special night the best it could be!

Monogram and photobooth was definitely a success everyone love it and we had and amazing time. Very professional was on time and got to receive all pictures and a photo album afterwards would definitely use them again in the future 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Tony from Southland DJs did an outstanding job as the DJ/emcee and photobooth! We had a fantastic dance party that left our guests talking for weeks after the fact. The photobooth was professional and high quality and a huge hit! Our guests had alot of fun with the music and the pictures. Tony was prompt, responsive, professional, timely and our wedding was a success in no small part due to his efforts. We had a unique and unorthodox music list to put it lightly but Tony and our guests really dug into it and we had a packed floor the whole night. Cannot recommend a vendor more than Southland DJs and we would like to say a big thanks to Tony for our successful wedding!

Our venue recommended Southland DJ and we were so happy with them!! We had Ana as our DJ and Tony ran the Photo Booth, he even videoed our last dance too since our photographer left early. Ana was vibing the whole reception and played the BEST songs!! We gave a list of suggestions and she did amazing! There were so many people on the dance floor until the very end! Everyone loved Ana and had a wonderful time! I recommend her 100%! The Photo Booth was a huge hit and was serviced by southland dj as well! We got a big photo album of everyone’s Photo Booth pictures after the wedding and a link to an online Photo Booth gallery! Wonderful experience!!

We were recommended to Southland DJ from our venue, and they ended up being a fantastic choice! Our DJ, Ana, did an amazing job with song selection. We provided her with some styles of music we both did and did not like, and she did a phenomenal job picking out the songs. There were people on the dance floor the entire time! She also took the time to make sure she pronounced the names of everyone in the wedding party correctly for their entrance. She was very easy to communicate with and provide songs selections to. Southland DJ is a great vendor. Would Highly recommend!

We hired Southland based on recommendation from our venue-we were so impressed at Tony's communication beforehand and his ability to stay true to our general outline (admittedly, we didn't give him much to work with) and he gave great suggestions. In the end, he killed it at our wedding and has a knack for reading the room. We wanted a DJ who was able to pivot based on how our guests were feeling and Tony did exactly that. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, intuitive DJ.

Tony was amazing he was really helpful when helping with music for my wedding day! The Photo Booth was so fun, they provided a background and also props! It was so nice having Tony and his wife there to help on my special day!

Tony was absolutely incredible! From the planning process to the wedding day, I have nothing but amazing things to say about him. He even came to the rescue when my veil fell off while walking down the aisle! Not only did he play every song we wanted to hear, but he also added in some great songs and took guest requests to keep the party going all night long! Tony was hands down, the best to deal with! He was very much a people person, very laid back but was super hands on with the flow of the night and keeping everything on track! He was even very helpful with all the crazy, unhappy kiddos and helped calm them down with a frozen karaoke singalong before the ceremony 😅 a million thank you’s for being so awesome!!! Tony from Austin Classic DJ was beyond exceptional. He was very communicative from the very start of when we hired him for our wedding which was very reassuring. After our initial call with him to talk about details, we knew right away we made the right choice. He was very detail orientated and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our big day. Day of our wedding, he was punctual and very efficient from setup to the actual start of the reception. He definitely knows how to work the crowd and people never left the dancefloor! The photobooth he provided was the best quality I have ever seen and it was a huge hit with our guests. Tony went above and beyond on our big day and we are so happy we made the decision to go with him. 5 stars isn't enough to rate this experience. Thanks Tony!!

Tony was our DJ for our wedding on 3/28/2021! He did such an amazing job and kept the dance floor alive! He was very easy and nice to work with and played our personal playlist that we put together, as well as, adding in some good tracks of his own! I would highly recommend!

Tony was our wedding DJ and let me tell you, I did not leave the dance floor once; he kept the dance floor poppin'. His set up was so professional and clean. He did a wonderful job MC-ing. He was so kind and made our wedding day really memorable. We added on the up-lighting package and the pictures of our last dance at the end of the night were AMAZING! Leading up to the wedding, he kept in constant contact with us and made sure to answer all of our questions, which we were so grateful for with COVID. I would 100% hire Tony again for future events and have recommended him to anyone!

We booked Austin Classic DJ for our June wedding and then had to postpone our date to October because of COVID impacts. Unfortunately, things have not improved and we had to cancel our October date as well. They were so understanding and willing to help us in any way they could both times. Even though we didn't actually get to enjoy Austin Classic DJ's services on our wedding day, we appreciate working with a vendor that was so flexible and easy to work with during difficult times. I highly recommend their services!

We hired Austin Classic for the photo booth at our wedding and they did not disappoint. I have been in the wedding industry as a coordinator for 15 years, and when it came time to plan my own wedding, it was really important to me to choose vendors that I had a personal relationship with and who were among the top 1% in the industry for what they do. I never even considered anyone else to do the photo booth on our big day because of how phenomenal Austin Classic is at what they do. Although we did use our own backdrop, they usually come equipped with everything needed to ensure your guests have a great time! The staff is top notch from start to finish, and even dresses the part by showing up dressed appropriately to fit in with your guests (I don't know how many times I have seen photo booth attendants show up in jeans and casual clothes when the event is formal). They know how to operate the booth seamlessly and are always there to make sure your guests have the props they need and rile them up to make sure the photos turn out amazing and funny! There is a large selection of props that are hilarious and add to the overall fun of the booth. Plus, they help each guest put a copy of their photo into scrapbook for you to take home as a neat memento (plus you get all of the copies digitally too)! For all of the brides and grooms out there looking for a photo booth company who will not only provide you with the most fun booth photos, but will also make the entire process so easy and seamless, look no further than Austin Classic!

Tony was our DJ and he did a great job! He was easy to work with, responded quickly to emails, and played whatever songs we wanted. He offered to set up 30 minutes earlier at no extra charge so there would be music playing when guests transitioned from the ceremony to the reception hall. He was also willing to work with my husband's cousin who does sound for bands. His cousin brought speakers to connect to Tony's equipment so the overall sound was top notch! Tony was a great MC too. He made sure everything ran smoothly the entire night! I recommend Austin Classic DJ to future brides, especially if you are on a budget. Thanks Austin Classic DJ!

Nikita was AWESOME to work with and made sure everyone was constantly on the dance floor! He also had our unusual ceremony music in perfect timing with what we wanted! He did exactly as we asked and was so kind and funny the whole night!

Tim was an amazing DJ for our wedding! He helped so much keeping everything moving and my guests loved his music selection. Not only was he able to read my guests and play things that helped them to engage, but he was more than willing to take requests while keeping my wedding fun for the younger crowd and appropriate for our grandparents. Tim with Austin Classic DJ is AMAZING. We did not actually meet until the day of my wedding, but I had zero concern because I felt like he already knew me so well. Tim sent me an email questionnaire with questions about me, about my now-husband, about my ceremony, about our likes and dislikes, and some music questions. He wanted to know what artists and styles we liked and if we had any choices for during the ceremony. When I had some difficulty coming up with my own ideas, he made some great suggestions based on the initial questionnaire responses I had sent him. Our ceremony music was perfect and led us into an even more perfect evening. The song choices all night were a perfect reflection of my husband and I. All night long I had people complimenting out amazing the music was. Not only that, but Tim had brought a really neat lighting setup that made the DJ booth look more impressive than just a table with equipment on it. I highly recommend Tim and Austin Classic DJ. You won’t be disappointed!!

WOW! There are not enough great things I can say about Tim Guinn, Tony and Elena Smith! We booked Austin Classic DJ as a package deal with Wedding by Tony and Elena. As promised, Tim was so easy to work with! We spoke several weeks before our big day and he walked us through the entire DJ and music process. We were able to pick the exact music we wanted for everything! On the day of our wedding, he walked us through step by step... what a total stress reliever! Not only did we have a great time, our guests did as well! In addition, the lights on the DJ booth added a special touch! We loved this company and are so blessed they were able to share this special day with us!

Austin Classic DJ did a wonderful job as our DJ! I didn't have to worry about a thing with him announcing everything because he was so well-prepared and organized with his questionnaire before the wedding. He also brought an awesome photo-booth that was so much fun for all my guests! His music selection was amazing and definitely made it a great experience for everyone! Highly recommend!

Tony was amazing from start to finish. His team was just great at getting notes of requests before hand to feeling out the crowd and keeping the upbeat mood we were looking for. Tim was our DJ day of and what a blast he was. Great MC and we appreciated every bit of it. The photo booth was arguably the biggest hit of the wedding. So glad we were able to use Austin Classic DJ!

I have to say I was pretty disappointed in this DJ. I do not feel like he used our requested playlist hardly at all. There were songs that I really wanted and expected to be played that weren't. He started out with slow songs and kept playing slow songs at the beginning, which I felt like made it more difficult to get the party started. My husband actually had to go and tell him to play more upbeat songs. I really feel like the music was the least favorite part of my wedding. There were times when almost none of my guests were dancing (and the few that were were at my request to try to keep the party going.) Pretty much every song that was played was a wedding "cliche," and while I wanted some classics, I definitely wanted to mix in some newer, different songs, which he did not do. Maybe I should have communicated exactly what I wanted/was expecting a little better, but I assumed I didn't have to worry about it since he is experienced and had positive reviews. He was inexpensive, so there is one positive. He would be good for someone who wants all classic, cliche wedding music. I just recommend communicating exactly what you want to a T, or maybe go a different direction.

What a great time we had at my wedding... much of it thanks to Tim and his awesome DJ skills! Tim was GREAT! Kept the party moving, was energetic and super easy to work with. I had such a great experience with Austin Classic DJ! Our DJ, Tim, had a great attitude the whole night and was super helpful with keeping the flow of the whole reception! There was not a second from the time the dance floor opened until the end of the night when people were not dancing. Young and old, he was able to read the crowd and bring everyone together on the dance floor! That has always been a dream of mine for my wedding (I know, not the coolest dream) and I am so happy Tim was able to make it happen! I also should add that when I sent him a song that did not work for a surprise dance, he helped me get it to work right before the reception started, which earned some major points for this bride!

Our DJ Tim was amazing! We hit a snag early in the day and didn't get a chance to do a proper rehearsal but Tim was able to help us through and the music during the ceremony was perfect. He took care of getting a few special songs I requested and even found a good breaking point in our first dance so we had the option to cut it down to 2 minutes instead of the full 4.5 minutes. This was a big win with the groom who was a bit nervous about having a long first dance. We also used Austin Classic DJ for our photobooth and it was a real hit. They had everything with needed and all of the props (which saved me from a bunch of DIY or pricey extra items).
