I used Southwick Linens for my wedding, of which my wife and mother interacted with the company. However, we went to Southwick for one reason and one reason only: we wanted the linens for our wedding to not be creased or wrinkled on our sweetheart table and we made this VERY apparent to them. After speaking with the sales rep we also decided to order napkins and chair ties. We were pleased with our selection UNTIL a few days before the wedding.
Before the wedding, my wife had gone to go double check on our order and thank god she did. She asked them to confirm what color everything they had written down for the wedding was supposed to be and they had gotten the color incorrect for our napkins. If we didn't go to confirm the order they would have brought the incorrect color for our wedding and nothing would have matched.
On the day of the wedding the linen company came early and set up the sweetheart table, of which the linen was both wrinkled and creased - again the only reason we went to Southwick is so this WASN'T going to happen and they seemed to have ignored that request. We asked them if they could steam or correct this, but, the crew that was there told us that they do not bring a steamer with them and there was nothing they could do. So my MOTHER had to find a steamer and do the job for them on the day.
On top of that the napkins we had ordered from them were simply set in a random box in the venue and left. No one ever told us we needed to pay anything extra for napkins to be set up, no one from the company told us our napkins were just left in this random box either. It took the wedding venue organizer stumbling upon this box to come tell us that there were just napkins laying around. We then had to devote additional setup time we didn't have to get this issue addressed.
When calling the company after the wedding there was no remorse, no sorry, no re-imbursement even thought about. Only a "thank you for your suggestions" from the company. A laughable response.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. 0/5 stars.
Laurie was so pleasant to work with. She is very hands-on during her consultations so you know exactly what you will get for table and chair decor. She was responsive and on-time the day of the wedding and her knowledge and expertise about decor was definitely worth the money.
We used Southwick Linens for our wedding on 10-30-16. They provided chair covers and a couple custom table cloths. Everything was so smooth and perfect I am very happy. The chair covers with ties made the ballroom really beautiful and our custom table cloths were sooooooo cute I was obsessed with them! Thank you so much!
We didn't plan on renting linens for our wedding but when we found out our venue only offered yellow (they called it ivory) and black we started contacting linen vendors as we really wanted white linens with navy runners. Southwick Linens were not only the most reasonably priced but they were also the fastest to get us a quote and Laurie and Shelby were fabulous about answering all of our questions. The linens looked amazing, they were exactly what we envisioned.
My husband and I found Southwick Linens through our venue as they are the exclusive linen company used by our venue. As my husband really didn't care about the linens, I went alone to meet with Laurie to determine the linens that would be used at my wedding. I had a general idea of what I wanted (sapphire blue table cloths with silver napkins and silver chair covers) but Laurie helped me fine tune that vision by asking questions about what we wanted and then showing me how it would look by setting up a sample table in the showroom. (Thank you also Laurie for talking me out of the silver chair covers and silver napkins - the white looked so much better.) She was also very patient with showing me the different types of ways a chair cover sash can be tied as I didn't know what I wanted - or even that there were different options on how to tie them. I would highly recommend Laurie and Southwick Linens. She did an amazing job and was a joy to work with. Unfortunately, I can't give an idea on pricing as our linens were included in the price of our package.
Awesome place and very helpful. I found exactly what I wanted abs was affordable!
