Becky, owner of Spanish Oak Events, our wedding planner was spectacular, a 5 Star rating is not enough! We were planning this wedding while my daughter lives in Austin, TX, we are living in Portland, OR and we are from the northeast, so we had no knowledge of vendors in NOLA. Our daughter’s vision for her wedding was casual, intimate, outdoors and at a home, while our vision was a black-tie formal country club wedding. Becky was able to listen to our visions, most importantly our daughter’s, and suggest perfect options to execute on both! We had very high expectations and the things that were most important to us, she made sure were seamlessly executed. She was organized, thorough, available, knowledgeable and creative. She was able to thoughtfully and tastefully walk us through to steer us in the right directions if we were going down a wrong path. Her vendor options and the selections we chose were outstanding. There was not one hiccup at the wedding, and it was a perfectly curated garden elegant wedding!
The florist, Herbivore and the caterer, The Black Pearl listened to our vision and executed on the highest level, adding their incredible elements to achieve perfection. The floral & candles, the chuppah and table settings were amazing! Initially, the servers were running out of passed appetizers before making it through to all our guests. I asked if we could increase the amount being served. Within minutes, we had so many servers and appetizers being presented, no one had to wait. The servers walking around with old fashion cigarette boxes full of shucked oysters and fixings made an exceptional impression and were a special treat for many! We had stations instead of a buffet or plated meal. The stations were literally a work of art, they in no way mimicked a traditional catered event. Each plate was artistically created as a dining experience for our guests to taste each of three full meal options throughout the night, all served on smaller plates. Most of the food was cooked on site, including the desserts of freshly made one bite crème brulées, beignets and café au late! Their service was fantastic and one of our goals was that no one waited for anything, and they executed on all! We never had a line at the bar, the food stations or for anyone waiting on dessert.
The invitation company Becky suggested was amazing, Invitobella. The owner Ashley was wonderful to work with, gave us some creative ideas outside the standard offerings, listened to our vision and was able to execute beautifully, timely and she was very affordable. The company she suggested for most of our rentals, although was very much behind the scenes, was just perfect! There were several different layouts and plans, items added and deleted and every step of the way, Becky made sure they were all correct and exactly what we wanted and needed, without added wasted. If something was too costly, Becky gave us options and was always mindful of the overall cost. At the very end, Becky made some executive decisions for me as she knew from working so closely, that these decisions would be best and I would be happy that she did, which I was!
If you are looking for a wedding planner, I could not recommend anyone better, she and her team are creative, thoughtful, mindful, professional and simply…. exceptional! Believe me, we were not an easy crew to please 😊!
Julia is our ANGEL. My husband and I are not wedding people - we were very nervous going into the process, because we really have no idea how to plan events or even what we wanted for a lot of the details. Julia guided us through the whole process and was a calming, easy going presence.
My advice to couples planning is to find someone you want to spend your wedding weekend with. Julia was just a fun and wonderful person to have there! She was always there when I needed her but wasn't overbearing in any way. Our day ran like clockwork and our family just adored her. She really took our vision and executed it perfectly. My mom and bridesmaids didn't have to spend their day stressed and making sure everything was running correctly, and it was so important to me that they could relax and enjoy this day.
I'd recommend Spanish Oaks for anyone, but especially for couples like us that get a question about what kind of flowers they like and say, "I don't know, pink?" Get yourself a designer like Julia who can make your day beautiful and smooth!
I had the best experience working with Becky and her team. She repeatedly went above and beyond to make sure our special day was exactly how we dreamed it to be. We knew we were in good hands when we started meeting with vendors early on in the wedding planning process and each one of them told us how sharp, kind, and fun to work with she was. Becky made sure to connect us with the best vendors in the city.
When it came to our wedding day, Becky was completely in her element. She made sure that my now husband and I had absolutely nothing to worry about and was a total rockstar. It was an absolute pleasure working with Becky and I could not recommend this team more.

We interviewed a handful of wedding planners for day of coordination and Becky at Spanish Oak immediately stuck out to us as the right choice. She was the only planner who didn't try to force a cocktail style reception on us and understood the cultural nuances of a mixed faith / culture wedding.
Once we officially signed with Spanish Oak, we worked with Becky and Julia and both were amazing to work with. They provided countless helpful vendor suggestions and tips / tricks leading up to and inclusive of the wedding day. The wedding day went off without a hitch and our guests had an amazing time.

We had the pleasure of working with Julia from Spanish Oak Events for our big day and OH MY GOD was she absolutely amazing. She always had so many suggestions and helped us think outside the box. Not only that but she also had an amazing schedule with "homework" we needed to do in order to keep us on track. Honestly, if it wasn't for her we would have been drowning! The rest of the team behind SOE is just as talented and we have nothing but amazing things to say about all of them. The entire team is so professional and they make your big day the best it can be. They even sent back our clothes and some food to our hotel room after we left the venue and they even beat us back there! If you are looking for someone to care as much about your wedding as you do, to answer even your silliest of questions (she answered all of our silly questions with a smile), someone who has knowledge of Nola, and is able to think outside of the box in order to make your wedding YOURS, then Julia is for you!
There just aren't enough thank you's to express how grateful we are to Becky and the incredible Spanish Oaks Events team for giving us the most incredible, stress-free day imaginable. When searching for a wedding planner I was looking for someone who was calm, warm, bubbly and knowledgeable and Becky was all of those things and more. She kept in constant communication with us leading up to the wedding and made the wedding run more smooth than I could have ever imagined. She is so well regarded in the industry and knows all of the best vendors to work with. We planned a wedding from New York, which could be challenging but having her in New Orleans made planning seamless. She always made herself available whenever we traveled down to New Orleans, even attending our tasting with us, which was so incredibly helpful! I truly do not know how we would have been able to do this event without her and I'm so thankful we didn't have to! Becky played an indispensable role in making our wedding what it was! We absolutely adore the Spanish Oak Events team! We had the pleasure of working closely with Becky on our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party. The rehearsal dinner was a 60-person seated dinner and the welcome party was a 137-person cocktail style reception. During the planning stage, Becky was kind, personable, patient and so professional. She gave us helpful advice, asked a lot of clarifying questions and worked with us on all of the details. She calmed our nerves about logistics and timing our events. She always sent recaps of our calls and managed every follow up task in a timely manner. She responded to emails very quickly and allowed us to send items for the events in advance. For example, we sent welcome signs and easels to the Spanish Oak location, so that we didn't have to travel with these items on the plane. On the day of the event, the Spanish Oak team brought the items to our venue and set them up seamlessly. Both events were executed perfectly. We were so happy with how beautiful everything turned out. Becky worked with our venue, our florists and rental vendors make sure we were able to enjoy our event and simply focus on our friends and family. We couldn't have done this without Spanish Oak Events! BEST experience working with the Spanish Oaks team - don’t even think twice, book them. I worked closely with Julia Parish, and I wish I could muster enough words in my vocabulary to describe how amazing she is. My partners cousin worked with her as well for her wedding and mimics my sentiments completely! She offered honest feedback throughout the planning process, never steered me in a particular direction, and always listened to my needs and helped my partner and I get to the vision we had in mind. Planning a large event for the first time is challenging and novel - she brought up ideas and topics I hadn’t considered and always had pro tips/suggestions to end up with the result we imagined. They checked in with all of our vendors well in advance, and ensured everyone was informed of necessary timelines. The planning process was smooth and truly not stressful because of this lovely team. It really was such a pleasure to work with them and I’m sad we can’t keep meeting regularly.
If you are thinking you don’t need a wedding planner, you’re wrong. Day off, she saved me and my wedding party/family. I was relaxed knowing I didn’t have to delegate tasks to friends and family and bother them. Julia and Becky took care of so many details I can’t even recount, which made my wedding day a stress-free experience. They even dropped off everything I left behind to our hotel room, along with food & dessert for my partner & our families! During the event, they had a magical way of being everywhere I needed in the most discrete way. These ladies are true professionals. Stop shopping around and hire them! Miss you ladies ❤️
This is a small thank you for the absolutely outstanding work Becky of Spanish Oaks, has done. We started with her about a year prior to the wedding date and she was open and warm, and extremely knowledgable. If you are at the beginning of the planning process, it is hard to imagine all the details to think of and coordinate. Becky was on top of things from day one. The most important skill she has is her ability to understand different personalities. She is really highly attuned to different family needs and she manages to find a way to make everyone feel heard and understood and accomplish the goals of the wedding couple, while respecting everyone. She is open minded and progressive, but has experience working with all kinds of families. Becky has connections to some of the top vendors in the industry, and because of the ease that people have working with her, she has built lasting relationships with them. She has access to great deals, and saves a huge amount of time knowing what each vendor is capable of, always working toward the image you have of your wedding. In the midst of the planning we had several family hardships and Becky was honest and ethical and kind and took any additional stress out, while lending a great deal of support. I can't say enough good things about Becky and her team and recommend her highly, without any reservation.

We planned our wedding from out of state, and knowing that Becky was local and friendly with all of our vendors made being far away a lot less stressful than it could have been. Becky could not have been more patient with my parents and all of their questions. We received great vendor recommendations from Becky, and she organized everything we needed so that we could have our second line. I dont even know where to begin when it comes to Becky and her team at Spanish Oak Events! From the time I got engaged, I knew a wedding planner was the first vendor I wanted to lock down. I had multiple people I was between and when I talked to Becky, I knew right away that this was the team I wanted to have to help me! I grew up in Louisiana but now live in Georgia so planning a wedding a few states away would have challenges but Becky was there to answer every single question and always had a solution as well. I felt so confident going into wedding weekend because the incredible checklist she gave me allowed me to get things ordered or scheduled way before time so I was more calm the closer we got to the wedding day. There aren't enough words to explain how grateful and appreciative I am for Becky and her team. A GREAT wedding planner is worth every penny and the SOE team was worth everything single one. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. She just went above and beyond and I could have never gotten through my wedding weekend without her!
It's hard to find words to describe how incredibly amazing Becky and the rest of the Spanish Oak Events team is!! We immediately knew Becky was the one for us after our first intro call based on her fun personality, her knowledge and experience of the New Orleans wedding industry, and her team's process for wedding planning. Throughout the planning process (we worked with her for 12 months leading up to the wedding), she kept us on top of everything that needed to be done, as well as prioritizing and sequencing everything. If we needed inspiration or ideas, she provided plenty with examples of weddings she's personally planned in the past. Even though we worked with her from out-of-state (Houston, TX), she learned our style and our vision so quickly, and helped us plan and create the most dreamy, fairytale wedding in New Orleans.
For the wedding day itself, she was with me (the bride) and my bridesmaids almost the entire day, making sure we were adhering to the timeline but also having fun getting ready and taking pictures! Any issue that came up, she communicated it AND already had solutions or plan Bs ready so that I didn't have to think or worry about it. Becky made sure my husband and I had plenty of time for a private meal between the ceremony and reception, and we are SO glad because otherwise we wouldn't be able to eat the food we picked for our special day! Becky even went to our room during our after-party and made sure everything was clean, my bouquet was in a vase, and she left a sweet personalized note for us.
Personality wise, Becky is one of the most lovely people my husband and I have ever met - it was a joy to work with her and she always did whatever she could to keep our stress to a minimum. When we visited New Orleans to do some planning with her in person, we genuinely had so much fun walking around the quarter with her, grabbing drinks, and seeing venues! We love Becky and the Spanish Oak team and would 1000% recommend them to anyone who wants to have their dream wedding!
Becky and her entire team (and her husband!) are great! They are very passionate and committed to making the wedding planning process as fun and stress free as possible. Planning a wedding during multiple COVID surges and from across the country was challenging, but Becky always remained positive and kept us on track with her detailed checklists and timelines which I so appreciated. It gave me so much peace of mind to know someone else was there to make sure things went smoothly on the wedding day and it was perfect!

Don't hesitate for another minute, just call Becky and let her take care of everything for you! I had no idea what a wedding planner could do, and she went far beyond and exceeded all of my expectations. She is so down to earth and genuine, and really was keyed into what my daughter envisioned for her event. The wedding was literally perfect and honestly, only because of Becky and her expertise. Her vendor recommendations were spot on in terms of style and budget, her suggestions alone saved us the cost of her fees. I would never have found such excellent vendors, had Becky not been involved. She was readily available by cel phone throughout the entire process from start to finish. We had a little wedding cake issue (no fault of Becky's) as it came down to the wire, she stepped right in and fixed it immediately with another vendor and I think we ended up with a superior cake. Every single vendor was literally perfect for our budget and our personalities. Never could I have imagined how easy Becky would make things the week and day of the wedding.
Having Becky meant my daughter and I could truly live in the moment while she took care of all the little details. Some people may think that wedding planners are a luxury, well Becky showed us that they are ESSENTIAL. We had a far more meaningful and beautiful wedding for our budget, than we would have ever been able to pull off on our own. I can't say enough, except to highly, highly recommend her. We were so incredibly lucky to have worked with Becky and her team for our wedding! The week after I got engaged my first call was to Becky – after our first meeting I knew we didn't need to look around for other planners. From her warmth the minute you meet her, to her creative ideas, quick and transparent communication, and of course connections in the industry – Becky was everything you need in a planner and friend.
We worked with Becky on an intermediate level of planning support. I was excited to plan the overall vision of the day but certainly needed help getting vendors secured, contracts reviewed, and someone who could help me think big about our event. Over the course of the year and a half we planned together, Becky helped keep me on track and single handedly secured most of our vendors – especially the daunting task of following up for contract signatures, payment information, and confirmations – it's crazy that you have to follow up multiple times just to give someone your money but alas.
Being a marketer – I treated this wedding as if it were a work event I was planning. Becky helped me dream big and when we got to talking we brainstormed the most fun ideas, then was there to help me reel in and prioritize because my budget wasn't like the ones at work 😂She also was a sound listener and did an amazing job of giving enough of an opinion to make me think, but never enough to make me feel like I had to make a decision one way because she liked it – I always felt like every decision was mine and mine only, with the help of an expert who knew the industry.
As life happens during the year and a half of us working together, Becky was so quick to communicate when she was running late to a call or when she needed to reschedule something, never leaving me wondering where she was at. Likewise via email, if she wasn't able to respond to something right away she still let me know she received it whether through quick text or email, which was super important to me and helped me set my expectations on when to hear back from her.
The day of the wedding... I mean wow. We were truly blown away by her preparedness first of all. The things Becky has in her bag will blow your mind. We joked we wanted ice packs to cool down after the Second Line and what do you know... Becky pulls out ice packs. Other than essentially being wedding planner Mary Poppins – it was truly an honor to watch Becky work our wedding. She led our wedding party with authority but grace, not one thing went wrong (that we know of 😉) and when we asked questions like "Can we have cake back at our hotel room?" or "Did you send our XYZ back to the room?" we were met with "It's already there and waiting for you."
I can't even begin to explain how much of an asset Becky was to this whole process. Of course her team (Shoutout Julia!!) is also a huge reason why Becky is the force she is – but we could not have been more thankful to have Becky on our side for this day.

Becky and her team are truly amazing! Becky came recommended to us by multiple venues we toured and hiring her was the best decision we made for our wedding. Becky is so well connected and well respected in the wedding scene in New Orleans. All of her vendor recommendations were amazing, and it was so helpful how well they all knew each other and worked together. We were having a Kosher wedding in New Orleans, which has become more challenging over the years. Becky is extremely knowledge and experience with Jewish and Kosher weddings and would highly recommend her to anyone! We planned our wedding for about 2 years (COVID), and Becky made the process so stress free and enjoyable! We loved our monthly calls with her. Becky is both a fantastic wedding planner and also such an enjoyable and lovely person. Not only did Becky make the planning process manageable and enjoyable, but also our wedding day was seamless, at least to us (the bride and groom), and that is all thanks to Becky. Everything went even better than I could’ve imagined, and it was so nice to not have to worry about anything that day, and feel confident I was in good hands.

On the wedding day, I was blown away at how prepared Becky was for ANY minor setback. From her fanny pack with literally every tool imaginable to fix all wardrobe malfunctions, to her superpower capabilities that allowed her to somehow be in multiple places at once, Becky was always there when you needed her, even when you didn't know you needed her! My husband and I agree that Becky and her team are the key reasons why our destination wedding in New Orleans went from a dream to a reality.

Do yourself a favor and hire Spanish Oak Events! As an out of state and pandemic bride, it was a no brainer that a wedding planner was a must and I was so glad I went with Spanish Oak Events! My first intro convo was with Becky and I immediately liked her vibe and mostly her ability to put me at ease and make me feel I was in good hands. Julia was the lead planner for our wedding - she is incredibly kind, attentive, organized and has a calming presence, which is a plus especially when we had to postpone our wedding. Thank you Julia for being so patient with all my emails and questions and for giving me helpful tips and guidance. Our New Orleans wedding was a dream come true and I'm so thankful I had Julia and the team to help coordinate all the infinite details. The outcome was amazing and our guests can't stop talking about how perfect everything was. Thank you!

I have been waiting two years to write this review! The ABSOLUTE BEST CHOICE we made for our wedding was hiring Spanish Oak events! WOW! Becky and her team are superheroes -- they are organized, passionate, creative, and a whole lot of fun!! We postponed our wedding by a year and they had the whole thing re-planned in 48 hours -- and we had monthly phone calls the whole year leading up to the new date. Plus -- you cannot go wrong with someone who vendors LOVE to work with. Everyone we met loves Becky and her team and they go above and beyond to work with her - because her team makes things fun and seamless. I've already referred one friend to her and I would do it time and time again!!

As the event-planner mother of an event-planner bride, I was reluctant to hire a wedding planner for our New Orleans destination wedding. In the interest of family unity, I agreed to meet with Becky during our first planning trip. It was the best wedding-related decision I could have made!
Becky’s energy and enthusiasm, along with her professionalism and experience, immediately won us over. We knew we could rely on her for everything from second line permits to musician recommendations. Three weeks before the wedding, COVID shut down New Orleans and the rest of the country. Becky and her team immediately figured out our options, coordinating the schedules of a dozen vendors to select new dates. A few months later, they did it again. The wedding finally took place Memorial Day weekend, fourteen months after it was originally scheduled. And it was spectacular!
Becky prioritized us throughout the (extended!) planning process, despite her own pandemic-related personal and professional challenges. She was my sounding board, advisor and friend. I already miss working together, although she’s probably thrilled to get all of our stuff out of her garage!

Becky did an AMAZING job for my wedding this past September. I will say that I was a difficult bride, in the sense that I had a very vague idea of what I wanted the wedding to be. Becky Lampp is the patron saint of weddings. In a good year, weddings are overwhelming to plan and you can be certain something will go wrong. Multiple that by one thousand during a pandemic. No one could’ve predicted in September 2019 (when we signed our contract with Spanish Oak Events) how the next year would unfold, and I’m confident the only reason we were able to continue with our wedding as planned was because of Becky’s guidance. As an out-of-state bride, having a local expert to recommend and coordinate with vendors was incredible. As an out-of-state COVID-19 bride, having insight into how things were progressing and how regulations were enforced, and what the reopening timeline looked like, and more, were the only things that kept us from cancelling. She gave us priceless information so we could choose the best path forward for us, and she fully supported us and our wishes every step of the way. She also helped us renegotiate several contracts, saving us money while simultaneously upgrading our wedding. It was a joy to collaborate with her on the design of our wedding and when the big day finally arrived, it was the most gorgeous event I’ve ever been to and we had a BLAST. I wish I could go back in time and relive it all over again. Notably, I don’t regret a single penny spent - Becky gave us tons of amazing ideas and helped us decide where to invest vs. save so our big day was stunning and within budget. There are wedding planners, and then there is Becky who is just a kick-a** wedding superhero. Hiring Becky and her team was the best decision we ever made for our destination (and then turned COVID) Hindu & Christian fusion two-day wedding. Becky always displayed professionalism, became our confidante and trusted advisor in any wedding planning questions, and even someone just to vent to when things got stressful or laugh with when things got truly absurd.
We were incredibly lucky and thankful to have found Becky to help plan our destination fusion wedding in New Orleans (we were in NYC), little did we know COVID-19 would hit two weeks before our wedding date. We had to postpone and significantly change plans, but our wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to Becky, and it was no simple feat with new safety precautions and constantly changing government regulations. With almost a year and a half of wedding planning, we had planned our two days of events down to the minute. Once COVID hit and we had to postpone, Becky was by our side as we dealt with daily updates, unexpected twists and turns, and dozens of changes leading up to the new weekend 4 months later. We had Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, and then Plan Z due to the ever-changing state, city, and vendor policies, and Becky was always a step ahead anticipating our next move.
Thanks to Becky our wedding went off without a hitch and was absolutely beautiful, and our wedding guests didn't even realize that one week before our new date we had to change wedding venues, our entire design plan (which took us several months to create based on the old venue), AND sign new bartenders and caterers (with an entirely different menu) just days before the rescheduled date. With everything changing around us, one thing was constant - Becky's ability to pull off this wedding, and our full trust in her incredibly capable hands never wavered. Not only did she put us at ease, she even managed to make the incredibly stressful COVID-wedding planning process fun!
Pre-COVID and during, Becky worked tirelessly on our wedding and managed to help us while also juggling her other frantic clients with such ease, grace, and a sense of calm. She managed to handle the entire situation with true candor and professionalism while connecting and managing all of our vendors. Not only did Becky exceed any and all expectations, every person who attended our micro-wedding got to know her and loved her, they even wished they would have had her for their own wedding!

Becky and Julia are by FAR the best choice for wedding planning in New Orleans. After the COVID-19 outbreak and ban on groups of 50+ gathering, they managed to move my entire wedding in the span of 2 days. They probably would have moved it faster if I wasn't prolonging the inevitable! They were so level headed and calm during such a crazy time.

This review is LONG overdue! But LOOK NO FURTHER FOR THE BEST WEDDING PLANNER! Becky was everything and more for our special day. I am a very detail oriented, decisive person and my mind works in a checklist. Throughout the planning process she matched that style and was above and beyond in her recommendations, her communication, and getting everything in order. She’s the perfect blend of extremely nice/warm, decisive, actionable, and graceful. We were an out of town couple from Texas and as you can imagine was quite stressful. Even though the nerves were still there and I was wary of the day of (all brides will tell you there’s something that goes wrong!). Not a thing went wrong!!!! In fact if I remember correctly, there was a potential issue w a water line that could’ve impacted the plumbing. This was found out just moments before my walk down the aisle and I never knew a thing! Her team handled it perfectly and nothing was impacted. Throughout the night she kept on schedule and her sweet husband made sure no family member or ourselves didn’t have a drink in hand. After the evening, they came back to our hotel and brought all of our things and goodies and even some leftovers from the night to snack on!!
Becky is impeccable at her job and worth every penny - perhaps should even charge more! :-P We had a huge amount of guests that had never been to New Orleans and still to this day people RAVE on and on about how it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended in their life. They even will say this while we are at others weddings! But for that many to keep that compliment and memory of our day even a year later attests to Becky’s work and planning.

A huge thank you to Becky and her crew for beautifully managing my daughter’s wedding day! Our contract with Becky was for “day of” but she was so helpful for the whole 7 months of our relationship. Becky was incredibly generous with her time and evidenced how much she truly cared about her clients by providing assistance throughout the whole process. The week of the wedding she handled EVERYTHING so professionally- keeping our large wedding party on track and having fun. She made us feel very comfortable that everything was handled and going smoothly, which put us completely at ease and allowed us to enjoy the day. She even had an emergency kit that came in handy. When my daughter spilled food on her dress during her "sweetheart meal" before the reception, Becky and her team worked wonders in removing the stain as quickly and stress-free as possible. One other thing I so appreciated was how she took care of our special items and delicious leftovers after the wedding, allowing us to enjoy more time with our family and friends. When we signed with Becky as a Day of Coordinator, she assured us that she would provide activities including day of coordination, a list of preferred vendors, timeline, planning tips, vendor communication, and contract review. She absolutely delivered all of these! On our wedding day, I was able to completely tune out planning details and be in the moment to enjoy our day thanks to the Spanish Oaks Events team. She took care of us and paid attention to so many small wedding details that day. Becky was always available for phone calls if I needed them and reassured me during stressful times. Becky was amazing! We planned a wedding from Kansas City and she did an amazing job at helping us feel like we were there making our choices. From the monthly phone calls to the day of she worked her magic. I still hear from family and our wedding party how nothing slipped by her and she kept track of our rowdy group! I am a very very type A person and Becky quickly learned that about me. She let me have my control and also knew how to keep me calm and collected as the bride. She would give me weekly/monthly homework so my attention was limited to a few items versus every detail of the wedding (which I needed desperately). The day of was stunning and her and her team delivered far beyond expectation. I couldn't ask for a better wedding planner. Thank you a million times Becky!
Literally everything about our day was perfect thanks to the incredible work By Becky and her team. From set up to making sure we had everything that my wife and I needed they were there for. She met the needs before they even became needed. We had an issue where our florist from out of town shorted us a boutonniere and before I could even panic she had fashioned two out of one. I can’t express just how thankful we are for how amazing everything turned out because of Spanish Oak Events. One of my biggest worries as a crazy overthinking groom was how the tablescaping and design with floral would turn out but once I saw what they had done my jaw dropped. It was all so beautiful. Literally these people are family to us now and I could not stress enough just how thankful we are. Becky is a complete rock star. If she has availability on your wedding date, you need to book her NOW. She was absolutely incredible leading up to and on our actual wedding day. Becky asked all the right questions, responded quickly to communications, set up calls that reassured us we were on track (hey, we've never planned a wedding before - we had zero idea what we were doing), and was just a generally warm, honest, lovely, hilarious human being all around! I'm incredibly detail-oriented, and Becky never balked at my extensive lists of details and explanations of what I wanted. She's thorough, responsive, has incredible vision/style, AND the best list of suggested vendors (seriously - every vendor of hers we used was ON. POINT.).
We so loved working with Becky, and her behind-the-scenes, tireless work resulted in a seamless, stress-free, perfect wedding day. EVERYthing went off exactly how we envisioned (and dare I say - even better?), which I credit entirely to Becky's complete rock star-ness. Even details I had forgotten to mention, she had already taken care of them. We danced, laughed, and partied on our wedding night without a single stress - and even arrived back to our hotel afterwards to be greeted by my bouquet in a vase, my wedding dress hanging in the closet, and all our details neatly saved for us in case we wanted to keep them. I could have cried with joy.

Becky is THE BOMB!! Seriously, we wouldn't have had a wedding without this woman. We only had 5 months to plan our wedding and are based in Washington, DC so we knew we had to hire a local planner. Becky came highly recommended by the two venues we were considering. She responded almost immediately to my initial email and even found time to have a call the same day to talk through her services and to reassure this Type A bride that she could handle the task of planning and executing a 130+ person wedding in 5 months. She did not disappoint; she was super friendly, responsive, patient, creative, and supportive throughout the entire process. She was always available to answer questions, readily offered advice and guidance, but also respected our wishes. We only had one weekend in NOLA to see the venue and meet the vendors she recommended, and she scheduled all the viewings, tastings, and meetings we needed - and was even kind enough to drive us to all of them. But what really made Becky special is how graciously she handled adversity. A week before our wedding, a major construction accident caused the city to close our wedding venue indefinitely. By the time Becky called to deliver the news, she had already reached out to 5 alternate venues and informed the vendors of the possible change. I'm not sure how this woman did it, but she moved our entire wedding and renegotiated contracts within a week of our wedding date - and it was PERFECT! I cannot recommend Becky enough. She was a real life hero in our wedding story and my husband and I will forever be grateful for her.
We began planning our wedding a year before the actual event and worked diligently to cover all the bases we could on our own. After going to several friends’ weddings a thing that came up again and again is that having a wedding coordinator was a great relief in organizing a schedule and sourcing vendors. We reached out to Becky and found her to be warm and incredibly helpful and personable. She understood that we wanted a wedding that truly reflected both of us and provided names of vendors she’d worked with in the past that would also see our vision. Before this, we’d encountered caterers who half listened, florists that were ready to be done with you before they ever heard from you, and all the things you might dread in planning a wedding. Becky put us in touch with really great people who were excited about what they do and really considered making our wedding a real collaboration.
Most of all, when it came time for the actual wedding, Becky was level-headed when we couldn’t be, on top of everything as far as the vendors and venue, and made a big production feel as seamless for us as it was for our guests. I highly recommend working with her on your event.
Becky and her team were so amazing to work with! My husband and I are from Houston and were having our destination wedding at Ace Hotel in New Orleans, so we needed a planner from the area. We chose Becky after talking to a couple other planners, she felt like the perfect fit and definitely was! Leading up to the wedding Becky was great at communicating with us and our scheduled calls really helped to put my mind at ease. It was also so good to know we had a planner with awesome connections with the rest of the wedding industry in New Orleans, as well as tons of experience. On our wedding day everything went so smooth, if anything did come up Becky must have taken care of it because all we did was enjoy our day! I never went without a drink in my hand and we received endless compliments all night and for weeks later. Funny story- I heard later we had some wedding crashers attempting to come in and I assume get drinks at our open bar, but Becky and her team were there at the door ready to shut them down! Hiring Becky Lampp and her team was the best decision we made during this entire wedding process. Becky is the best of the best and we would HIGHLY recommend her. On every call, she was organized and always thought of things we didn’t – she thinks of the details and logistics. As a Brooklyn-based couple planning a wedding in New Orleans, we needed an organized person on the ground who knew the best vendors and who could handle a wedding of 240 people and 19+ vendors and Becky delivered. She knows the best vendors in the business and has a great reputation and working relationship with each of them. She also has an eye for design and our ceremony and reception looked beautiful in large part because of her. As an LGBT couple, she made sure to surround us with accepting vendors and had creative ideas about the structure for a non-traditional wedding. On our wedding day, Becky was calm, organized, kind and positive. She made sure we were always taken care of, on schedule and low stress. At the reception, her team made sure both of us and our parents always had a drink in our hands. Our parents were very impressed with her and her team and we could not have done this process without her. My wife still says this was the best money we ever spent. On a personal note, Becky and her husband Tom, who worked with her, are wonderful and kind people who will literally invite you into their home. We consider them friends and cannot recommend them more. They are truly the best of the best.

This review will not come close to the full scope of praise I have for Spanish Oak Events. I got married about 6 months ago, and 3 weeks prior to that date, our venue decided to put a ban on bands and become altogether impossible to work with. Becky immediately began work on finding a replacement venue that was able to accommodate all of our previously contracted vendors, negotiate pricing within our budget, and open their doors to us on such short notice. The result was an amazing and beautiful day that we will not soon forget!!
I would urge anyone on the fence considering adding a wedding coordinator to the planning process to schedule a phone conversation with Becky for the following reasons:
1. She is a consummate professional throughout the entire process, and is able to navigate lots of personalities during a highly charged event.
2. She returns texts/calls promptly, and always has a workable answer to questions.
3. She has a vast local network of vendors at all price points (who all have great things to say about her), and is able to obtain quotes at lightning speed.
4. Rather than guesswork, she employs computer programs to determine spacial layouts of venues so that you can specifically design ceremony and reception layouts (and order the perfect amount of tables, chairs...).
5. She will provide her professional opinion on all topics wedding related, but ultimately respect your wishes and vision for your DAY.
6. And lastly, she continues to be very encouraging and positive throughout the whole process with thank you notes, a cute pre-wedding gift, and post-wedding compliments.

Becky was amazing! Having only one daughter, we could only imagine everything that needed to be done on the day of the wedding. Just like all the other reviews here - with Becky, it was love at first call! My husband and I were planning our New Orleans wedding from Chicago and met over 10 planners in person - but just 10 minutes into a phone call with Becky and I knew she was our gal. Becky came recommended from our reception venue, Marche, and was on other vendor recommendation lists and now I know why. She makes your life EASY. We hired Becky for day of/month of coordination and I liked that she didn't limit the amount of interaction you could have leading up to the wedding. Becky knows all the vendors and venues in New Orleans which put me at ease, especially when it came to dealing with some of the more "interesting" personalities in NOLA. Becky is the type of person that will finish you sentences. She just gets it. Personable, professional, fun and responsible- I would put any event in her hands. I was a pretty laid back bride, but Becky probably had a lot to do with that. She was SO prepared day of - she literately had to sew a family member into their dress due to a broken zipper. I had friends tell me after the event that she gave them flip flops because their feet hurt. I am sure there were 100 other things we never heard about that Becky took care of - she is the shit. We could not be happier with our decision to hire a month of coordinator nor could we be happier that Becky was the person we hired. As the bride and the only person who lived in New Orleans for the planning process I had done the vast majority of the planning and when it came down to the final details I was lost with what else to do, that's where Becky came in. From our first meeting, we immediately felt that everything would be under control if we were to book with Spanish Oak and we were so right. There were a couple little mishaps on our wedding day, as I'm sure there always are, but they were handled and everything went off without a hitch.
I cannot say enough about Becky and her impeccable Wedding coordinating skills. From the first call when starting our wedding planning process, I knew immediately she was the right fit with her bubbly personality and knowledge of weddings in New Orleans. Since we did not live in New Orleans during the time we were planning the wedding, having Becky made the entire process very smooth. Her relationships with other vendors in New Orleans was extremely helpful in recommendations during the beginning phase, meetings, and day of coordinating. With my busy schedule, it was also helpful having a monthly checklist of items to help keep us on track. The most important piece of having Becky was that we did not have to worry or stress about a thing on the day of the wedding. We were able to relax and enjoy the day as Becky was right there handling every detail to make sure everything was perfect! We are incredibly happy we had Becky and we cannot recommend her enough!

I don't even know what to say or where to start, Becky was absolutely AMAZING. Originally, we were not going to use a planner because our venue had a coordinator who was very responsive. However, about 6 months into planning after the vendors were booked I realized we cannot oversee all wedding events the day of. That's when we started researching Day-of Planners and found Becky. Immediately after talking with her, we knew she was exactly what we needed. We met in person shortly there after and were hooked! She was so excited about our event and put me at ease about the day-of. (I'm a project manager in my everyday corporate life so I'm used to being in control and planning) With Becky, I was able to use her as a sounding board for ANYTHING and she continued to assure me, even the day of she was taking care of everything. And she did, happily! Right after our first meeting she sent a tentative timeline for us to review. She coordinated the vendors arrival the day of, helped finalize the timeline, received and set up all reception items (menus, name cards etc) and directed vendors on exact setup to carry out our ceremony and reception vision. Becky became a part of our wedding party and we couldn't imagine our wedding day without her. Even for the most organized Bride and Groom I would recommend Becky because she helps with things you didn't know you needed. (Becky if you're reading this, it was a pleasure to work with you and have you apart of our day!!)

It has taken me a little bit to write this review but it definitely was not out of lack of excitement for the work that Becky at Spanish Oaks did.
My experience with Becky was filled with five-star experiences, interactions and care. She was a planner that walked and talked us through planning the biggest day of our life and did it with ease.
The amount of care that Becky gave Joe and I from the moment we had our initial conversation to a year after when we had our big day was worth every penny times a thousand!
Her knowledge on the industry, her relationships with the many vendors was key in pulling off the wedding weekend we had. I would hire Becky again and again, if only I had the budget to get married many more times. =)

I can't say enough about Becky and her whole team! She helped our family plan an engagement that blew everyone, including the bride-to-be away. Becky was always there to answer any of my questions, came up with great recommendations when we were stalled for ideas and was such a pleasure to work with! The videos and pictures of the event were truly magically, making everyone shed a tear as we did that night. I can't say THANK YOU enough.
It was love at first call... We knew instantly from the first 5 minute call with Becky and Spanish Oak Events that she was our planner. Instantly, it was like we knew her forever, and we could trust her with the biggest day of our lives. We were a couple from NYC and was planning a wedding for over 100 guest all of which would be traveling to a city that most have never been. Though I have experience doing events in NYC, I was certainly a fish out of water in NOLA. We traveled to NOLA over a long weekend to meet Becky and plan our wedding together. We came in tow with my Italian Mother, dad, and sister (MOH) and all their opinions :). The moment we met Beck face to face she presented us with a welcome bag filled with itineraries for the weekend, macrons, and her confidence that she would be by our side the whole way through. In one weekend we saw over a dozen Venues, 2 cake tastings, 2 bands, a full catering tasting and two florists. She was indeed with us every step of the way. Each morning began with her and her smile in our hotel lobby, and each evening ended with her dropping us off there. She took the time to really get to know us, learn what our aesthetic was and offer suggestions and solutions to our vision we would not think of. By the end of the weekend we pretty much had our Wedding planned and cued up ready to go. The next year we would talk to Becky Almost daily for informal check ins, but also formal weekly calls. When things got rough... which they always do when planning wedding let alone a destination wedding, she was there to represent us, but also calm us down when needed. Without a doubt Becky put her entire self into our wedding. We felt often we are her only clients, only surprised to learn we weren't when we saw her celebrating her other couples on Instagram :) . Becky was with us from our first call until the sparkler send off at the end or our wedding and beyond. My only regret is that I plan to get married only once and I won't be able to use her again for my next wedding. They say a wedding planner is the gift you give yourself when getting married, and those words could not be Truer. Becky was the gift that kept on giving. Though Becky is the face and muscle behind Spanish oak Events, her team are just as incredible and confident as she is. Spanish Oaks is not just our wedding planner they are our family!!!!!
Becky was great throughout our whole wedding planning process. She was very responsive to our questions and found great vendors for us. I would definitely recommend her in the future. If you are looking for a wedding planner, she’s the one!
We hired Becky of Spanish Oak Events for day-of coordination and she was wonderful ! She was so kind and patient throughout the entire day. Becky thought of everything that I did not; she even sewed up a small hole in one of my bridesmaids dresses ! Overall, she really played a huge part in letting us have the best day of our lives.
I LOVE Lampp! If I could rate Becky with all the stars in the sky, I would. We found her through the coordinator at our reception venue after mentioning we were in the market for a day-of coordinator. She and I met for the first time a few months the before our April 2018 wedding.
She made me feel immediately at ease when we met up for the first time. I’m a pretty detail-oriented person—Becky can attest to the ridiculous binders and planners I had...oy—and she came up with other things I hadn’t considered. I just knew we could leave everything in her more than capable hands.
We had a last “check in” meet-up with one of my bridesmaids a few weeks before the wedding and I was just so happy to see her!
She helped create and confirm the timeline for the day and worked so flawlessly with all of our other vendors (especially our photo/video team whom I could’ve sworn she’d worked with before). She played a pivotal role in helping us find first-look and bridal party photo spots and just tended to everything on the day-of like the girl boss that she is (with her amazing husband and assistant-for-the-day in tow!). She thinks of everything, seriously. Her “emergency kit” was so clutch, especially for my bridesmaids.
Wedding planning can be stressful enough on its own, but my family has also been going through difficult times since my mother got sick last year. Becky did everything in her power to make sure my mother’s needs were taken care of on the big day as well. Mom LOVED her pedi-cab during the second line!
Becky really went above and beyond for us and I really just couldn’t be more grateful for her. It was important to me to not only have a good team but great people around on the big day. If I hadn’t found the rest of my vendors beforehand and could do it all over again I would’ve found Becky earlier in the process and hired her as our wedding consultant, if only to hang out with her more, because she’s awesome :P.
Even ladies in my own bridal party who got married outside of NOLA wish they could’ve had her around on their big days. If you couldn’t tell, we love her. Thank you for everything, Becky. It was an honor!

We worked with Becky as our Day of Coordinator, and I can say that I am so happy we hired Becky! From meeting in person months before the big day, she was always so sweet and helpful! While I was picking all of the details, she gave me some great suggestions and ideas! Many of which I used and were a big it, like a cigar bar. Becky was also willing to come to meetings before the big day even though I just hired her as the Day of Coordinator. The week before our wedding, Becky confirmed all of our vendors and took the pressure off of me as the bride. On the wedding day, Becky arrived early and with an assistant. She coordinated all vendors day of and made sure all of our extras were set up just right. She helped to coordinate family photos and assisted with anything and everything we needed help with! I cannot recommended Becky enough! She truly did take all the stress out of the wedding day which is exactly what I was hoping for when I hired her as a Day of Coordinator!! I want to start off by saying Becky is phenomenal in her profession. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner or even someone for day of, I’m advising you to do so! Becky was a miracle worker for my mom and I. Everything we asked of her, she came thru and accomplished it for us. She was truly a blessing to work with and I highly recommend her! Her personality is just the icing on the cake. She is always willing to go above and beyond for you to make your day special. Thank you Becky for making my day so smooth and stress free! We absolutely LOVE Becky! she made our day flawless. I interviewed a few wedding coordinators but knew instantly I'd be choosing Becky! she has an infectious positive energy and great attention to details. We are from California so I knew we wanted to have a local coordinator to be helping the few weeks before the wedding and for the day of but I had absolutely no clue how crucial and helpful she was going to be to help our day go off without a hitch. You get lost in the fun and the people during the wedding and all ideas of times and schedules go out the window. Thank goodness we had Becky behind the scenes the entire night making everything go smoothly and reminding us to cut the cake, or fixing a hole in a bridesmaid's dress, or helping pin my bustle back up when it came loose. Not to mention the days before and the morning of and her incredible decorating for the room flip! Absolutely the best choice we could have made! It left us to enjoy the night and be in the moment without a care. You really will be so happy if you choose Becky for your event!!
It will be hard to put into words how much I appreciate Becky and all that she did for my wedding. Becky goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding is perfect throughout the whole process. She is so much fun to work with and makes wedding planning fun!!! Anytime anything got stressful, she was there to help. Help me in making decisions and being there for me every step of the way. Because of her my dream wedding was perfect! Even if something went wrong I would have never known because Becky handles everything so well! She is by far the best investment when it comes to planning a wedding. I not only had a wedding planner but now a life long friend. I could not recommend Becky any higher! She was fantastic from start to finish. I was the bride, and my (now) husband and I live in Philadelphia. Becky made sure we knew what check boxes needed checking, how to check them, and how to make those check boxes mean something during our ceremony and reception. We had a wedding with the WORKS!--second line, brass band, DJ, photo booth, 3-layer king cake, customized handkerchiefs, etc etc! Although we were in Philly the whole time trying to plan this thing, it was as if everything fell neatly into place on our wedding day. Thank you Becky!
I couldn't have lucked out with a better wedding planner than Becky Lampp of Spanish Oak Events. She is simply the best! My husband and I are from Washington, DC, so this was a destination wedding for us. We'd interviewed a few other planners before deciding on Spanish Oak Events and Becky was the only one who was excited about bringing our OWN vision to life, and she did so with warmth, enthusiasm, and a positive spirit!
From the start, she worked within our budget and brought us excellent vendor choices to see our grandiose Gatsby themed wedding through!

I wish I could give Becky a 10 out of 5 stars. She and her team were absolutely incredible! My husband and I were both from out of town and this was a destination wedding, plus it was a complex multi-day Indian wedding so we had a lot going on and Becky handled everything with competence and a smile. No task was too big or too small. Although we hired her for weekend-of support, she got very involved about two months out to make sure she was completely familiar with all of our vendors and our schedule. She helped fill in the gaps in our schedule to ensure it was extremely detailed and helped us find additional vendors whom we had not yet booked. She was in contact with all vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and during the weekend-of to ensure everyone was aware of the schedule, last minute changes, etc. and this meant we didn't have to worry about our vendors at all and could just focus on celebrating with our family and friends. Many small things that were out of our control went wrong (as they always do) - examples include unusually cold weather in New Orleans during the weekend and the police not showing up for our 2nd line parade even though we had a permit, and she was did whatever it took to make sure none of these challenges posed a problem to us or our guests. We didn't even know about the police issue until after the wedding! She brought additional staff with her during the wedding day to make sure everything was as smooth as possible (and did not charge us extra for this extra help). She was extremely easy to talk to, always available, highly responsive and so pleasant! Lastly, she is also very reasonably priced, especially for how much she above and beyond she goes for every detail and every request.
I know my mom (mother-of-the-bride) was extremely pleased as well!
