Cannot say enough wonderful things about the team at Sparkles. The entire planning process was so enjoyable and our wedding day was better than we could have ever imagined thanks to them. BA and her incredible team were so professional, attentive, kind, and truly just wonderful people to work with. The peace of mind leading up to our wedding that came with knowing our big day was in great hands was amazing! Can't thank these ladies enough.
Sparkles is absolutely the best!! We used them for our rehearsal, welcome party, and wedding day and I could not have had my dream wedding weekend without them. They were all so responsive and easy to communicate with via email or text. They brought all of my exact visions to life and truly made my wedding day timeline perfect so that me and my family had zero stress and could enjoy the day. I truly could not recommend them more 💞
We were recommended to Betty Anne by our venue. She assured us that everything would be handled professionally down to the last detail. 8 months before the wedding, we were handed off to Drew and never heard another word from BA. This was never mentioned when we hired her. Drew assured us that she had worked this venue multiple times and knew exactly what to do. That part was somewhat correct. She knew exactly where to tell the rental company to put everything, but after that it was downhill. For MONTHS leading up to the wedding it took forever to get an answer on thing, final layouts, final numbers, etc. I was patient and gave her the benefit of the doubt, just assuming that she had been given too many weddings for one planner to handle reasonably. Also they are mostly a "month-of" service, so I didn't complain. The weeks leading up to the wedding were okay, when I tried to give specific details of things I was told "heard" and "noted". Turns out none of these things were, in fact, noted.
On the day of, it was an absolute disaster with them. I showed up to look outside from the bridal suite I could see TONS of things in the wrong place or just not even out. I had to call her and tell her what to do and where things needed to go. Keep in mind, I packed every single piece of decor in clear packing bins with DETAILED lists on the lid of each box labeling what items were inside, how many of each item there was, and where that item was supposed to go.
They did not come inside the house ONCE to keep us on schedule. My photographer had to keep us on a schedule once we realized the Sparkles team wasn't going to (they made the itinerary. isn't that the number one job of a wedding planner?) We ended up being rushed all day long and it was stressful to say the least. We even showed up EARLY. We just weren't told what to do. None of us had our phones on us because we didn't think we were supposed to be in charge of the schedule. It was just a disaster after that. Decor looked sloppy and I put tons of money and effort into making sure every detail was perfect. (The signature cocktail sign was in its box behind the bar for god's sake - is that not one of the most common wedding decorations???) Vendors weren't managed. And my bridesmaids basically ran the reception. Including going inside to find the glowsticks and party favors to toss out when the Sparkles team was sitting inside playing on their phones. I also heard that Drew snapped at guests who made comments like "do they even have a wedding planner" and "who is the wedding planner this is a disaster".
Instead of wasting anymore time and energy complaining about a company who could care less I'll just leave it at this... they were sloppy, unprofessional, and careless. I sent a list of items that went wrong on the day of and got no response or apology from Betty Anne.
Oh, I feel as if I should also mention that her granddaughter got married the weekend after me at the same venue and it looked amazing. Seems as if my wedding fell second string to that one and no one really cared.
BA was a fantastic planner to work with! She thoroughly walked through every detail with us & made sure that we knew what to expect for our special day. Her communication is top notch & always makes time to hear your suggestions & ideas. If it weren’t for her, I would have been bald by our wedding date LOL. She did leave after our ceremony, but she made sure to put us in her teams’ hands, who were exceptional and did everything to make sure everything continued to go well. Amelia stepped right up to the plate & did an amazing job. She even saved my husband’s mother & son dance by checking our song choices before being introduced as the couple. The DJ had the same song for both of his mothers (he’s adopted & has a relationship with both his adoptive & birth mother). If it weren’t for Amelia, his special moment with his birth mom would have been ruined. All this to say, Sparkles helped us have the best day ever & we would recommend them to any couples who are in need of a planner!
The Sparkles team is incredible!! Drew, our lead planner, truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day ever. With venue changes and figuring out logistics for our food truck, she remained flexible and positive and ended up putting together the most beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces that turned out better than we could have even imagined. Their team took care of booking the rentals, decor, and florals that we selected. They built our timeline and layouts and communicated the final timeline to our bridal party/family and vendors. The entire day ran so smoothly and seamlessly because of their hard work. This team exceeded our expectations for a “partial planning package” because they did so much more than that. We are so thankful for them!!
Brides Beware:
If you’re looking for a chaotic, stressful, and disappointing experience, that is exactly what you will get with Sparkles. After reading positive reviews of the company, I decided to move forward with securing Sparkles for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding. BA (Betty Anne) did a phenomenal job in her initial “sales pitch”. I was convinced that I would be in good hands. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. After issuing the deposit to BA, I was then handed off to Drew. In the months, weeks and days leading up to my wedding, I received countless excuses from Drew when it came to why a task was not done and/or sent over in the timeframe she committed to. I was constantly chasing her for a response or an update and ultimately came to the realization that BA, Drew, and her team were unreliable, unprofessional, and seemingly inexperienced.
My bridal party and a handful of wedding guests stepped up to carry out tasks that Sparkles was hired to do (i.e., spreading the 15,000 rose petals down the aisle for the ceremony, giving guidance to guests on when and where they need to be). My mother-in-law and a few guests had to tear down the rehearsal as Drew was nowhere to be found (again a task that Sparkles was hired/contracted to do). Guests were surprised to learn that I even had a wedding planner/coordinator as they saw all the work my bridal party, mother-in-law and I were doing. It’s also worth mentioning that my other wedding vendors (who were amazing) shared that they would not recommend Sparkles to future couples after witnessing their lack of coordination and oversight. I cannot stress enough the number of red flags I experienced with this company. I hope this review might save a future bride from the ordeals I went through with Sparkles.
WOW! BA and the Sparkles team made my wedding day and the entire planning process an absolute dream. From helping me come up with a vision, to hopping on calls when I needed, to being flexible when I changed my mind on a decision we made (which happened a lot, especially the 2-3 weeks before the wedding), BA made me feel so comfortable and seen. Her team put together my dream wedding. I had no stress on my wedding day, and I credit a lot of that to the Sparkles team. I got married in Pawleys Island, SC, and BA helped me plan with the local vendors flawlessly. I cannot recommend this team enough.
If you are looking for an experienced wedding planner that knows her stuff, I highly recommend Sparkles and her team. I can't say enough complimentary things about Sparkles and her team. From day one she was so easy to work with and listened to what I wanted and then offered her professional opinion. I was immediately impressed with her organization and eye for detail. I loved every meeting with her at her warehouse. She has an amazing warehouse full of beautiful wedding decor.
I was also a pandemic bride and rescheduled my wedding from June 2020 to May 2021. She was great about making that rescheduling process go as smoothly as possible during a stressful time. She also was great about helping me find new vendors during the re-scheduling process.
The magic really happens on your wedding day. Sparkles and her team created the most elegant and whimsical wedding space at Founders Hall. Walking into our reception for the first time on our wedding day was so special and magical.
This team really goes ABOVE and BEYOND! They stuck with our vision and everything turned out better than I could imagine. They took away all the stress of setup/clean up and their work is flawless. I would highly recommend them for weddings. They are experienced and know what works/flows best. They were able to recommend vendors that we couldn’t decide on and they were GREAT recommendations! Booked some right there during our meeting! As it got closer I was nervous and anxious and Kayce always answered every email and text promptly to calm my nerves!
I cannot say enough good things about Sparkles!! They made having a wedding during the pandemic of covid 19 like it was no big obstacle! They recommend and booked our DJ and Photographer during our very first meeting. The Sparkles team is just simply awesome! All of our ideas for decor and flowers could not have turned out any better! All the guests and other vendors were even in awe of how beautiful and perfect everything was setup and decorated! They truly made our wedding day simple and painless!
Where do I begin? I certainly had a unique wedding planning experience. The majority of it was planned from across the country. BA was so accommodating & always willing to take a call, e-mail, or text message.
Her planning process was organized. She gathered dozens of inspiration images and helped me piece together my vision — my dream wedding. I appreciated her ability to see it. I would answer one simple question and she would start pulling out decoration after decoration that matched perfectly with what I wanted.
She gave her honest opinion and offered so many helpful suggestions, but I don’t think I ever heard her tell me no (unless she was playfully busting my chops). She’s personable, funny, and so kind. I’ve had many guests comment not only on the decor, but also how organized and put together it was.

BA and her team are wonderful. When I originally booked Sparkles, I had another planner, who ended up starting her own company. BA made the transition seamless and afterwards, I was very happy BA became my main planner - she was much more communicative and followed up very quickly with everything. Everything was so seamless on my wedding day - I didn't have to worry about anything. I'm highly type A and it was hard to hand over control, but BA assured me and worked with my strong personality. I honestly do not think I would change anything about my wedding day. For everything BA and her team does, their rates are very, very reasonable. Their kindness and willingness to assist in whatever the couple needs made me unbelievably happy that I picked them to be my planning team! The execution was what I wanted and overall, I'm 100% happy with BA and her team!

Every detail was perfect and I never had to worry about a single thing on my wedding day. You have been there every step of the way during this 6 month journey and I couldn’t be more thankful! I hired this company to plan my wedding in Seabrook SC. The made sure everything was perfect. Such an amazing group of people that I had the pleasure of meeting. They made my day so extremely special and beautiful. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The detail and heart that the women who work here put into there work is astonishing. Sparkles was the best decision I ever made! BA and her team were a dream to work with. So flexible and creative! I am not on the creative side and I have a hard time making a vision come together, but they were able to drag it out of me, and walking into that wedding and reception was like walking into a DREAM! BA found the perfect coordinator to match my personality type which was a big deal! It made my day go from stress level 10 down to zero! Kayce was the absolute best! She kept everything organized and calm. I could not have asked for anything better. Sparkles exceeded all expectations!
BEST DECISION WE MADE! I was blessed to have BA Rhode (owner) by my side through my entire wedding planning process. I hired her as a Day of Coordinator/Partial Planner. BA was always quick to respond, extremely professional, and above all my sanity. If you decide to have the Sparkles team, 'sparkle' your day, let them do just that. Trust that they will execute your vision. Allow them to be creative and work their magic. I promise you will not be disappointed.
The months leading to our wedding presented challenges that were not your typical wedding planning challenges. BA kept me grounded and was always my listening ear through the process. She always made me feel like I was her only bride. We had several changes throughout our wedding and the biggest occurred less than 6 weeks before that resulted in a change in venues, vendors, and the size of our wedding. BA helped pull it off seamlessly. She was on top of everything and thought of things I hadn't even considered.
I had a vision for our wedding and trusted BA to pull it off. I gave her free reign over designing our wedding. I picked our colors, provided her with a few decor pieces that I wanted to incorporate, and let her do her thing. Her team exceed my expectations and our wedding was absolutely beautiful! Every detail was perfect. We had guests continuously commenting and complimenting on how beautiful everything looked. She made some changes from our initial design consultation and I could not have been happier with the outcome.
I could not thank this team enough for all that they did to make our wedding day perfect. I would do it all over again with them in a heartbeat. Thank you again to the Sparkles team for making our wedding day a dream come true!
When I first started the wedding planning process, I thought wedding planners were too expensive and unattainable for my budget. I figured I could do it myself. It took me weeks and a lot of stress to find a venue. The venue owner gave us the number for Sparkles and highly suggested we talk to her. After the stress of just finding a venue and realizing my life schedule was too busy for wedding planning, I started thinking I could really use some help. My husband and I met with BA and instantly knew we wanted to work with her. And the best part was how her cost fit easily into our budget. BA and her team were so great and made my wedding the day of my dreams. I was stunned by how beautiful my ceremony and reception turned out. Words can't describe how happy I was to work with BA.
BA and the Sparkles crew were fantastic and absolutely wonderful! From the first meeting to the sparkler send off, they were there helping us plan, providing the details that we would have surely overlooked, and ensuring that our beach wedding and reception was truly the best day ever! We are so thankful that we invested in their services so that everything could run so smoothly, on time, without incident, beautifully! I highly recommend hiring this crew and letting them do the heavy lifting so you can enjoy your day! Brandy and the Sparkles Team went WAY above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. Not only was Brandy always available for any questions I had for months before the wedding, she did an amazing job at creating the beauty and natural flow of the ceremony and reception and did a flawless job with the execution the day of. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!
Betty Anne definitely has an eye and passion for what she does. Planning our wedding/reception was a breeze and she helped us a lot when we didn't have a vision. I only rated 3 stars because of a couple of things that occurred on our wedding day. After contacting her after the honeymoon, she did not provide a response to what happened. I was told she would get back to me but, never received a response. It was very upsetting to pay $$ and not get some kind of resolution regarding the issues.
BA was recommended to me by my now mother-in-law as Sparkles had done some work at the school she works for. While I was initially skeptical about a decorator and a day-of-coordinator, BA totally changed my mind and transformed my ideas of my wedding. I had no idea what I wanted going in except that it was going to be simple, there would be flowers, and it was going to be at Givhans State Park's Riverfront Hall. I had little experience with weddings but BA was patient with my groom and I as we slowly figured out what we wanted and what we didn't. BA met with us to brainstorm and test out different table settings, flower combinations, and ceremony ideas. She helped us with little things that I never would have thought about planning on my own (what are you putting food in, where are your gifts going, what's your ceremony space going to look like). In addition to make the ceremony gorgeous with her decorations and a unity ceremony that we came up with (mostly her!), they totally transformed the inside of the hall. It was so beautiful. I cannot recommend BA and Sparkles enough for their wonderful vision, patience, and creativity.
I've dreamed about my wedding day since I can remember. Even those dreams don't compare to how it actually turned out. It was AMAZING! BA and the Sparkles team worked diligently to make sure every single detail was handled perfectly. Throughout the whole process they listened to what I wanted and then made it happen. Four days prior to my wedding I laid out by the pool all day and people were shocked that I was that close to my big day and so relaxed. All I could say was "Sparkles"!! I knew I had nothing to worry about. On the actual wedding day myself, the bridal party, and my whole family did nothing but enjoy each other's company and reflect on what was about to happen. Sparkles handled everything else and it was seriously a magazine wedding!!
If you are considering Sparkles for your wedding stop considering and book with them ASAP! You will not regret it. ☺️
BA and her team were simply amazing to work with! These ladies are not only amazing coordinators but such kind and lovely people that will always hold a special place in our hearts! We hired BA for our destination wedding at Magnolia Plantation as a "day of"'planner. She was FAR more than that! She was very responsive to emails, texts and phone calls and communicated every detail with us! She created a timeline and sent to all vendors which as so so helpful! She made sure every vendor arrived on time!! BA took care of all the rentals needed even last minute items we wanted to add. She also did all flowers which was a HUGE help in that I didn't have to find a florist. All I had to do was send her a list of flowers I liked and images and she took care of the rest. Our flowers and centerpieces were just as I had imagined and even better! She was there for our rehearsal the day before too. MOST IMPORTANTLY, on our wedding day we had a monsoon of rain...not only did she handle my meltdown so well but dealt with the plantation in rearranging the ceremony and reception site to move indoors. In fact, she told me we could wait until the last minute to make the final call and she would make it work!(She knew how badly I wanted it to be outside) Ultimately we had to have the ceremony inside but it was gorgeous. I mean this gal walked around in pouring rain to make it all work! She is a total rock star as she looked fabulous doing it! If I could give her 10 stars I would!
The Sparkles team did an amazing job of transforming our beach house venue into a gorgeous wedding site. They gave me wonderful guidance and advice on everything about our wedding. I had lots of ideas and with their help, my ideas were transformed into the wedding of our dreams. Very affordable and super accessible to me at all hours. Naomi was my "day-of" coordinator and she really did a great job of following my timeline and keeping everything flowing smoothly. Loved her ideas about creating the timeline and a "must take" list of photos that I gave to the photographer in advance but especially loved her suggestion to our pastor that he pray with my fiance first and then with me just before the wedding started. I can't recommend Sparkles highly enough!
I HIGHLY recommend Betty Anne for all of your wedding needs!!! She was so lovely to work with, accommodating and reliable. I probably changed things 100 times and she never batted an eye, just wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted for my special day! Her showroom has TONS of decor and if there's something you want that she doesn't have, she will help you find it. I did not use her for wedding planning BUT I should have. We are truly grateful for her making our wedding absolutely beautiful!!!
