Spencer’s was the perfect place for our 65 person wedding. Not only were the spaces gorgeous but the staff were amazing as well. All of our guests loved the look of everything and the food. Thank you Spencer’s team for making our day so special!
One of the most beautiful wedding sites in Palm Springs. Our ceremony was held in the garden area with spectacular views and the reception moved inside equally spectacular. Guests were treated to a fire in the oversize fireplace that sits next to a wall to wall waterfall with amazing views. The manager was a dream to work with and her staff were all very professional. I highly recommend this venue.
Where do I even begin!? It is really difficult to articulate your gratitude and appreciation for the people and establishment behind making our wedding dreams come in a brief review on a website but I’ll do my best. Brian Thorson is an absolute rockstar and a master of his craft. I have never met somebody in events/hospitality so calm, confident, knowledgeable, professional, communicative, attentive… I could go on. Navigating a wedding in the Covid climate is scary and daunting! From my initial out reach via their from my initial outreach via their website, he was immediately responsive and accommodating and made me feel more comfortable with the process. He provided a detailed breakdown of a few different options that were through and easy to comprehend. And let me know that there was flexibility with the final headcount which was a definitely a relief too. Other venues acted like it was pulling teeth to even get a rough estimate and were extremely insensitive and unreasonable regarding Covid. Not Brian and the Spencer’s team!! We corresponded a number of times and before even going to the venue; we knew exactly what we were looking at in terms of costs. The moment I stepped foot on the ground at Spencer‘s, I was immediately floored by the natural beauty of the landscape. The upper lawns and Bougainvillea room are truly a magical space nestled against the mountain. But it was when I met Brian in person, that I knew that this was the venue for us. He immediately put my nerves at ease with his cool confidence and hospitality. Over the course of the 9 months of wedding planning, he promptly responded to all of my emails and phone calls. He made me confident that he and his team would be able to seamlessly execute our wedding vision — enter Melissa White. Melissa worked closely with Brian throughout the process and was an absolute GOD SEND on the day off. Melissa, like Brian, is professional, responsive, and master executer. She has an incredible eye for style and perfectly executed my day-off vision. And she has a crazy keen sense of mitigating issues before they become issues. Our big day went off perfectly and largely in thanks to her. Talk about a boss. Brian and Melissa communicated with all of our vendors and made it possible for us to sit back, relax, and truly enjoy our special day with ease and excitement. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the food. OMG, the food. Everyone knows wedding food is rarely noteworthy. My husband and I are a big foodies and were pretty floored when we did our tasting. Surely the food couldn’t be as good when prepared for 100 people, right?! Wrong. It looked and tasted A. Maze. Ing. We we so shocked by the number of people who commented on how next level the food was. To say we are appreciative of Brian, Melissa, and the entire Spencer’s team (additional shout out to their amazing, warm, and friendly service staff) would be a serious understatement. My husband and I are forever grateful for them making our wedding an absolute dream. Stop racking your brain; you WILL NOT find a better or more beautiful venue in Palm Springs. Stop reading this and reach out them now. You won’t be sorry.
Spencer's was the absolutely perfect place for our Palm Springs wedding with about 100 guests. Our ceremony was outside, and the setting was amazing. After the ceremony, we had an outdoor cocktail hour, with tasty hors d'oeuvres. The rest of the evening was in the Bougainvillea Room, which was wonderful. Our guests from out of town were so impressed. The food was great (and we especially loved the vegetarian options). The entire evening was magical, and we wouldn't do anything differently. Brian and Melissa were so easy to work from the first time we met. They both made planning for our event as stress-free as it can possibly be.
Brian, Melissa and all the staff worked diligently and professionally to provide a magical evening for friends and family to celebrate the rehearsal dinner for our son and his bride. The upper and lower lawns were absolutely beautiful and I would strongly recommend those areas for your event. Our guest raved about the food, ambience and quick attentive service. Every detail, including special requests we made for set up, were graciously accepted and attended to. We even had a last minute request to add two extra people to our party of 70 and it was no problem at all. In my opinion, this is the best venue in Palm Springs to hold an event! You won't be disappointed!
We were looking for a venue to do a small wedding for our friends coming in from Germany. We were only a group of six but Brian and his team knocked it out of the park!! The mountain venue, the food, the service and the tranquility could not be beat. The chef put together an outstanding four course meal that was amazing from start to finish. Brian and his staff made it feel like we were all one big family and all our requests were satisfied without any issues and always with a smile. It was a true, heavenly wedding! Thank you Brian, staff, and Spencer's at the Mountain!!
Our experience with Spencer's as our wedding ceremony and reception venue was nothing short of incredible. After seeing photos of the property online, we were instantly smitten with the place, and this was only confirmed even more after our first visit. The grounds are stunning and quintessential Palm Springs. Brian, the Special Events/Catering Director, was an absolute pleasure to work with both before and during the wedding. We live out of state, so there were quite a few emails sent back and forth to discuss questions from a very detail-oriented bride like myself :) Brian happily answered every single one, and really put my mind at ease, knowing we were in excellent hands. Besides the beautiful venue, the most consistent feedback that we received from our guests was it was "THE BEST FOOD" they've ever had at a wedding! We went with the buffet option, and WOW....there was something for everyone! Every single thing was delicious, and you would never guess it came from a buffet. They really nailed it...it was some of the best food we've ever had in general, let alone at a wedding. We can't thank the Spencer's team enough for all they did to make our day so special. We can't wait to come back!
Spencer's is truly a hidden gem. Compared to the many great wedding venues in Palm Springs, Spencer's stands out as it is timeless and is real quality.
From the food, staff to event coordination, we cannot thank this team enough. They were so helpful and open to my many, many e-mails and detailed notes. Our guests (and us!) were blown away by the beauty of the venue, and we are so lucky that this will go down as a wedding they will never forget.

The new Special Events/Catering Director, Brian, started only two months before our wedding, which can make anyone sweat when they’re about to slide into home base, but we cannot imagine our day without Brian there. Our wedding went off without a hitch, the staff was FANTASTIC. In addition, their pastry chef made our cake and it was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Spencer’s deserves all the stars in the sky!
I had my engagement/birthday party at Spencer's in November. I worked closely with Brian, who went above and beyond to make the evening gorgeous, organized and stress-free. The setting is incredible- completely captures the beauty of the desert. The food was outstanding and service was 10/10. Brian is so easy to work with- he understands how much pressure one can feel when planning an event, and he makes sure to take all the stress off your shoulders so you can enjoy the evening. I highly highly recommend Spencer's for any wedding or special event.
