A few 2024 Spring & Fall Saturday dates are still available! Spicewood Vineyards has an old Texas feel with amenities expected of an elegant and upscale event - we like to call it Texas Chic. The vineyard backdrop, limestone and dark wood interior, sprawling ceilings, large cozy hearth, and award-winning wine all add to this rich venue. We have a laid-back vibe here, and you feel at home the moment you walk onto the property. But don't take our word for it - come try some wine and see and feel it all for yourself!
Our venue can fit up to 200 guests but a sweet spot is anything under 175. We have both indoor and outdoor ceremony sites as well as indoor and outdoor reception locations depending on the size and vision for your big day.

From the moment we chose Spicewood Vineyards as our wedding venue, Lauren and Hilary went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. They tag-teamed effortlessly during the pre-wedding planning, making the distance feel like it was just a few miles away rather than across state lines. Their commitment to making our day special was evident in every interaction.
On the day of the wedding, Mother Nature threw us a curveball with stormy weather, and some guests, unfortunately, couldn't make it last minute. Lauren's unwavering support and quick thinking turned what could have been a disaster into a magical experience. She took the initiative and adjusted the reception layout to accommodate the unexpected changes and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
With the venue being naturally beautiful, there was not really a need to have a lot of decorations for the reception, however Spicewood had an assortment of decor that I was able to utilize which saved me a lot of time and money.
The Spicewood Vineyards staff, under Lauren and Hilary's leadership, worked tirelessly to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere despite the weather challenges. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly remarkable. Our guests were amazed at how smoothly everything flowed, and we owe it all to the incredible team at Spicewood.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Lauren, Hilary, and the entire Spicewood Vineyards staff. They not only met but exceeded our expectations, turning our wedding day into a dream come true. The setting itself is already stunning, with lush vineyards and picturesque landscapes, but it's the people at Spicewood who make it truly exceptional.

We had space in the yard to play yard games + outdoor seating to enjoy the view + plenty of room in the dining area. Hilary was our bartender day of and very friendly + professional. There’s sooo much planning for a wedding, and it was amazing to walk into my rehearsal dinner and see it executed better than I’d envisioned!

Lauren worked endlessly to ensure all of our details were taken care of. She referred us to great vendors (like Dagar's Catering who we used for food...spectacular!...and our DJ), and she helped us think through all aspects of our wedding ahead of time.
We had an April wedding, the grounds were lush, and the day was simply perfect. We were able to have the ceremony in the lawn with the stream behind us. We had a five-piece jazz band playing on the patio before and after the ceremony during the cocktail hour. Then we moved our reception and dance party inside. The event space was beautiful and just the right size for food service, dancing, and moving around to talk to everyone.
In all, Spicewood was the perfect spot for our wedding. It was quaint, beautiful, and we felt incredibly supported and safe in celebrating our love with friends and family.

We followed Lauren's recommendations for food, beer and rental vendors, and we couldn't be happier. We saved significant amounts of money and everybody loved the food! She is the event coordinator and completely made the experience. She met with us before hand and worked out all the details and helped us through multiple questions. All the wine is provided by the venue and doing tastings is the perfect excuse to keep going back over and over before the day of. While they're not involved in the event itself, the staff at the vineyards are so nice and recognized us after our first visit. The indoor event space was wonderful for our reception and was super comfortable for our 75 guests and epic dance party. It was so nice to be able to do makeup and get dressed on site. The venue is also wheelchair accessible which was really important to me. One of the best parts of a summer wedding was getting to go down into the barrel room to take pictures. It was so cool after sweating through the ceremony and our photographer loved working in the space as well. Overall I could not have been happier with my venue choice. The trees made for a gorgeous backdrop and the lawn near the building's entrance was perfect for outdoor games. We chose to have the Vineyard in our background and even took pictures before and after in the vineyard. Then we had our reception inside the event hall. It has a huge fireplace and beautiful bar. e. Once we got engaged it was basically a no brainer to choose Spicewood. It is very affordable and they do not charge different rates seasonally which was a plus since we were getting married right in the middle of wedding season. Lauren the event coordinator did an awesome job answering all of my questions while I was planning, and did a great job during our rehearsal and the day of. She was extremely organized and kept everything running smoothly. The day of could not have been better! I would recommend Spicewood Vineyards to ANYONE looking for a wedding venue or even a party spot!

We decided to get married with the vineyard behind us, but there were other lovely spots that we could have used as our backdrop if we so chose. The hall is available for the ceremony, but we used it for our reception. It is an easy place to decorate for most styles. We had just under 100 people and felt that there was enough room to dance and mingle. The wrap around porch was a great place for four 'cocktail hour' and relax.
Some of the perks with the venue include tables, chairs, and Lauren! She was perfect for our day of coordinator. Lauren always responded in a timely manner and was always willing to talk to us if we randomly showed up at the vineyard. She offered great tips, was quick with problem solving, shared some helpful resources, and was not shy to getting things done. Her experience shows in her ability to keep calm and keeping the event going when something unexpectedly happens (like when the bride's father manages to cancel a shuttle right before the ceremony).

What sold me right away were the reviews for the flexible option for a back up rain plan if we weren't able to have an outdoor ceremony. Well, our wedding was November 7, 2015 which it rained nearly the entire week before, the day before and luckily (maybe?) the day of our wedding. So we were one of those couples that had to switch to the back up rain plan. Even though it wasn't my choice, the indoor option of the event center was absolutely beautiful and the cathedral style windows made it feel like we were in a chapel in the woods. The other positives that stuck out were that Spicewood was very dog friendly. So much so that every time we visited in the preceding months prior to the wedding, we always saw several dogs running around the property. We asked if our boxer, Casey, could be in the wedding and they didn't even hesitate. Casey walked down the aisle with our ring bearer and sat right next to my husband during the entire ceremony! Lastly, when I was researching vendors, the most important quality I look for is their responsiveness to emails. We worked with Marie in the beginning during the planning then Lauren took over Marie's position. Both these ladies were so on top of returning my emails and answering any questions. The owner, Ron, also went above and beyond to make our day perfect. It was such a pleasant experience from start to finish. Spicewood Vineyards is truly a hidden gem not to mention their wine is top tier Texas wine!

The views of the vineyard & the hill country right from the event center is astonishing. I loved the ability to use the event center in combination with the wrap around porch, and extended lawn area throughout the reception. y times, how warm and inviting the entire venue was. The lighting at night is stunningly beautiful and creates a backdrop for great photos. Their wine is delicious and had very generous glass pours (this was a hit with the guests.) Lauren, their in house coordinator, is fantastic. She went above and beyond her role as a coordinator and become more like my best friend! She kept us all on schedule without being bossy or pushy. Lauren was there everytime I needed ANYTHING from lipstick to finding my groom. Highly recommend contacting Lauren for your upcoming wedding!

in the right direction to make your day memorable. There are a few flaws - you cannot have beer cans or bottles due to the name brand? I found that odd, but we got past it by just pouring them in solo cups. Also, no liquor which is ok, but I highly recommend spending the money to do Sangria (Marie makes this for you from scratch). It was a huge hit at our wedding, and it was gone before we came in from photos. All in all, a great experience I would recommend this beautiful venue.
