A wonderful catering service! They are more on the pricier side, but they were worth it. Spilled milk handled the food, staffing, and even coordinated our furniture rentals for us. Everyone complimented the food and stated how good it was. Their staff was amazing and kind throughout the night.

Spilled Milk Catering was exceptional as our caterer this summer. Going into wedding planning, we had no idea how many choices we would have to make involving food, drinks, linens, signage, and furniture, just to name a few items, and SMC’s Heather and Brittney made it as easy as possible for us. SMC was transparent with pricing each step of the way and provided frank advice on where we did not need to be spending if we didn’t care too much for one thing or another. The cocktail appetizers, drinks, meal, and ceremonial cake were so tasty and beautifully presented. Everyone on the staff was friendly and efficient and looking sharp as they buzzed around seamlessly. SMC helped with our search for a sofa for a tea ceremony, which we ended up not getting, but we appreciated their assistance in finding options from local event furniture rental companies. We brought our own assortment of desserts and SMC nicely presented them for our guests to ensure everything was fresh and looked classy. Can’t go wrong with these seasoned pros who have a creative flair!

Spilled Milk exceeded expectations. When it comes to wedding food - we had relatively modest expectations for a party with 220 guests - at a museum no less without any real kitchen facilities. Spilled Milk blew us away during the tasting and we are thrilled to say the food was just as good on the day of the event. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. We received numerous compliments during and after the event from our guests - everyone wanted to know who we used! We also loved their attention to detail and creative presentation. The service staff and bartenders were also terrific. I would not hesitate to use Spilled Milk again and would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the greater DC area.

We worked with Heather for the catering of our wedding in December. Her and her team were great! We wanted something a little out of the box for our reception and ended up doing stations instead of a traditional seated dinner. The food was great and the guests loved it.

Heather and the whole Spilled Milk team were incredible. Our venue was beautiful but difficult to work with, and the moment the caterer came into the picture all of that stress went away. They had everything under control, gave great advice, handled everything flawlessly, were communicative, and the product was quality. Great food, great service, and overall a positive experience.

We are so happy we went with Spilled Milk for our wedding. We knew they would be a great pick just from the first menu of options we looked at- everything looked incredible on paper! We loved that their options felt a bit more fun and modern, not as traditional "wedding" food as you'd expect. We really appreciated how flexible and creative Amit and the team were throughout the entire process- you can tell Amit really loves what he does. They were willing to create an appetizer that was not on their menu, which ended up being one of our favorite bites of the day; they also worked with us on choosing a pasta for our first course instead of a salad and some other creative touches we wanted to add (like a compound butter for the table). The food felt like the perfect reflection of us, and everyone loved it on the day of! Amit's team was also so incredibly professional and attentive- there was one server who consistently made sure we had enough to eat during our cocktail hour (which is not easy to do as the bride and groom!) and made plates for us of all the options, and we saw that food was regularly being passed around at the cocktail hour and brought out seamlessly during dinner. We didn't always feel that they were the most responsive during the planning process, but everything came together perfectly for the wedding, which is all that matters!

Heather and her team were wonderful. From the first call we knew we were in competent and driven hands. Their flexibility with guest count was the best we saw out there, the food delicious and visually exciting, and staff made the day go off without a second thought. I appreciated Heather keeping us on and ahead of schedule the entire way, of all the aspects of the wedding, food and tables (etc) were the least of our worries. Thanks again!

Dealing with them made me hate a part of the wedding planning process. We had such an unpleasant experience with Heather, the account executive, who is the main point of contact. The costs and fees are ridiculous. For the amount paid, the service is trash throughout the planning process. Overall spilled milk was unreliable and unaccommodating. They advise us things are customizable at the beginning but as time went on, anything we asked for, regardless how small comes with a fee. The fee is not small either. We felt the asked fees were very unreasonable. We also didn’t get explanation on how the pricing worked. Not for once we felt like they cared about us or this event. For the first trashing, the bok Choy that came with the main dish was extremely salty, we couldn’t eat it. So we asked for a second tasting which then they said it would be $500 to do a second tasting for 3 main entrees, not including hos d’oeuvres or dessert. We are providing our own alcohol, and when we asked them to include some garnishes/juices/soda for cocktails (won’t cost over $100), they asked for $6 per person (over 60 guests), even though in previous emails they have said they’d provide all garnishes and mixers, conveniently leaving out the surcharges. If they were to provide more mixers to properly accommodate all the guests, it’ll be $25 extra PER HEAD COUNT, which is ridiculous considering we are providing the expensive portion of the cocktail- the alcohol.. in the end we never ended up getting any mixer/garnishes back. We have provided bitter, sugar rims, boxes of salt rims, orange peels, and many other garnishes. Where did they go? If you are planning a wedding/event, skip this one!! I made the mistake by not checking all the bad reviews first. Wasting money is one thing, being angry even on my wedding week because I had to deal with them is another. The day of the event the servers were really nice so no complaints there. Cocktail hour small bites were good. However the seated dinner was NOTHING like the tasting, they changed the flavors and the cut of the pork completely. The meat was dry and we were very disappointed. They also forgot dessert utensils, the guests had to ask for them! At the end of the night, the cleaning crew tossed items sooo early that our guests didn’t get to keep their menu/name cards. People were upset about it because they were told they could come back to get things after the send off but clearly the cleaning crew did not listen!! They also threw away A LOT of alcohol/mixers without asking us if we’d like to keep them. We paid for them they should’ve at least asked! We also didn’t get to try the desserts at all. Booking them is one of my biggest wedding regrets.

SMC is amazing! They did an incredible job catering our wedding which was outside and relied on generators. Definitely not an easy set up and yet all the food came out perfect. I thought the food was delicious in the tasting and then somehow it was even better on the day of! The staff were lovely, easy to work with and extremely warm. We haven’t stopped getting compliments on the food. Guests keep telling us the food was their favorite part of the wedding. Thank you so so much to the SMC team.

Our experience with Spilled Milk was a mostly positive experience. Their proposed menu options were varied and interesting, which is exactly what we wanted. Our tasting experience was also very good. We worked with Amit, the owner, and he was very flexible in customizing the food to how we wanted it. On our wedding day, the staff we had was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the food that we received at our reception was not exactly what we got during the tasting. The presentation was disappointing compared to what we saw, and one of our main entrees didn't taste the same as we remembered. Also, one of our appetizers wasn't customized to how we specified. We spoke to Amit after the event, and he apologized for those things. Overall, it was disappointing that we didn't exactly what we got during the tasting, but despite that, we thought the team did a good job.

Spilled Milk Catering did an exceptional job at my daughter's wedding in DC. Working with Heather leading up to the event was very easy. She comminucated well, and was very helpful with suggestions for the venue. That evening the food was all excellent and served by very professional staff. I highly recommend SMC.

Heather was a gem to work with and made the whole process so easy to navigate. From the first contact, she was friendly, direct and responsive. The tasting was amazing and everything was incredibly delicious. The cost was very comparable to the other catering companies we were looking at, but they offer more apps for the price. The entrees were absolutely fantastic, and the desserts were perfect. We wanted something that people could dance and eat, and they delivered. Not only is the food 10/10, the service was 15/10. The staff was amazing and were quick, efficient and didn't let anything phase them. Even when a place card or two wasn't in the right place, they were quick to find a resolution without causing a scene or chaos. Also, my husband and I had a server devoted to just us, and she was amazing. She made sure to find us throughout the cocktail hour to make sure we were getting fed, and during dinner, we were never without a wine/water refill. Everything was perfect and we got so many comments about the food. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough about the professionalism and service from Spilled Milk catering. We hired Spilled Milk as a full service caterer for our wedding at Strong Mansion in Dickerson MD, providing ceremony and reception setup, appetizers, bartending, dinner and dessert -- and they continued to wow us! Heather was our main contact, and she provided excellent expertise and recommendations throughout the process, while listening to our desires and dreams. We had very specific dietary restrictions, and they were able to accommodate our needs while providing delicious and high-quality food options. We cannot say enough about the food and drink: from the fresh passed appetizers, to specialty cocktails and fun dessert bar. But the service of their team was most impressive, moving quickly, efficiently and with ease, we were so pleased and thankful. They made our day run so smoothly and we highly recommend their team! Their services were not cheap, but we felt it was really worth it.

Stop what you’re doing and book a tasting with Spilled Milk right away! I might be biased because it was our wedding but the food from Spilled Milk was honestly the best wedding food I’ve ever had. In fact, months after our wedding I’m still hearing friends and family members rave about the food! All of the food was incredible but I wanted to note my favorites: ahi tuna on a lotus chip, bulgogi tacos, and catfish sliders for appetizers, the squash ravioli, and the short rib. I’m normally not a huge fan of wedding cake but the complimentary ceremonial cake they provided for us was incredible. We picked the lemon pound cake with lemon curd and raspberry jam filling. Heather was great to work with when it came to picking out rentals. Our venue didn’t have any equipment so we had to pick out chairs, linens, place settings, and utensils. We subcontracted for rentals with Select Event Groups through Spilled Milk. Heather came with us to the showroom and helped us pick out everything. She has an incredible eye and did a wonderful job of guiding us through our choices. Besides the incredible food, the staff did a phenomenal job with the service and prepping the space. We had an outside wedding but it rained so we had to go with the rain plan which meant our tent which was supposed to just be for the reception had to be used for the ceremony as well. The SMC staff did an excellent job of setting up for the ceremony and then flipping the entire space for the reception in just the hour or so we had for cocktail hour. They also assigned two wait staff to me and my husband who were always there with an app or drink when we needed it! If I need catering for any event in the future Spilled Milk will be the first I call!

We recently had the pleasure of using Spilled Milk for our wedding of 125 people. There was no morsel of food left on our guest's plate. Everyone enjoyed the food and beverages provided by Spilled Milk. I highly recommend doing a tasting to curate your vision for your big day - they have something for everyone!

It has been months since our wedding and still seeing guests that cannot stop talking about how amazing the food was. The service and quality of food were truly impressive. I work in the hospitality industry, and both of us generally are not impressed with food at weddings --- but Amit and his team absolutely crushed it. The food at the wedding itself was even better than when we did the tasting where we had almost 200 guests. Amit allows an incredible amount of flexibility -- we began with a discussion of styles of food we like, items that we would love to see, and he helped to curate a totally custom menu for us -- and even took a recipe/dish from one of our favorite restaurants to recreate it. Admittedly, during the planning stages we wished some of the response times were a shorter, but by no means did we feel like SM was unresponsive. After we created our theoretical options we did a tasting with Amit with about 135% of the menu options we would end up selecting, so that we could narrow down our final selections. On our wedding day it seemed like he brought an army -- every time you turned around we had a staff member ready and waiting with food or a tray to clean/take any dirty plates or dishes. The passed food was plentiful, and the bar was handled well to avoid huge lines forming. We've heard from SO many that as a couple you don't get to eat on your wedding day but Amit's team absolutely made sure that was not the case (as did our wedding coordinator). When the food came out it was hot and mind blowingly good. We had family style service with platters of sides hitting tables and French entree service. Servers synchronized the dropping of plates which is an amazing touch. 100% we would recommend anyone to use Spilled Milk for their wedding -- --- obviously we might be a little biased since it was our own wedding but it was the best food we've had at a reception, and many many of our guests have told us the same since the wedding day.

Our guests absolutely loved the food and hors d’oeuvres at our wedding. It was hands down the best meal I have had at a wedding. Spilled Milk was very flexible with our menu options for hors d’oeuvres d’oeuvres – we were also able to bring our own alcohol so long as the caterers provided the bartenders. The bride and groom were also given their own waiter which came in handy as the bride never had to get her own drinks the whole night. From the beginning, they allowed us to go for the tasting before signing the contract as we were deciding between a number of caterers. The tasting was very personal with full portions and the service from the staff and chef were the best we had. Spilled Milk asked if there was anything we’d like to change like add more salt or less of the sauce or a particular flavor which was very nice that they wanted to personalize every touch. You’re able to choose different sides with each dish and even do combination platters for bride and groom (thought the night-of we had to ask our planner to go back to the kitchen to remind the chefs about that). We ended up adding the cake and we were allowed to taste the cake through cupcakes later since we hadn’t been able to taste them during the original tasting. The only thing we wish we were able to do is to taste the hors d’oeuvres we ended up choosing – we actually had to swap them out due to our guests and because there are no group tastings, we would’ve had to foot the bill for a whole new tasting instead of just the price of the few hors d’oeuvres, which we were willing to pay for. While Spilled Milk was very responsive when we were nailing down the contract before signing, after signing the contract we had some differences between what we wanted (with the advice of our planner) and what Spilled Milk suggested. Instead of compromising they seemed to push harder in the direction they wanted us to go. Maybe because it was easier, or less work, but it did feel a bit like they just didn’t want to do it so they were trying to shrug us off. Lastly they sent a thank you card a few months later and changed my name to Seth…wonder if I should change it legally?

Food was probably the most important thing for us with our blended Persian/American wedding, and we really struggled to find a caterer that could fit our needs and budget, but Spilled Milk absolutely knocked it out of the park. For one thing, every other caterer we interviewed said they could do Persian food, and then would propose a menu with things like channa masala and dal. Wrong country!! But SMC proposed ACTUAL Persian food, so they were already a frontrunner before even the tasting, and the tasting itself sealed the deal. Absolutely everything we tasted in the planning stages was phenomenal, and the food served at our wedding was exactly what we expected - no loss of quality at all. Heather, our account rep, was with us every step of the planning process including meeting with us at the showroom for Select Event Group, SMC's rental partner--Heather always had great advice and suggestions to make us feel more at ease about the frankly overwhelming planning process! The staff who worked our wedding day were efficient, courteous, and responsive as well, and everyone's dietary restrictions were accommodated without a hitch. Not a single complaint, we can't recommend SMC enough!

The entire Spilled Milk team was great. From the first inquiry to the tasting to the wedding, the staff was incredibly helpful and helped us bring our dream wedding to life. The food was very good and all of our guests shared how much they enjoyed it. The process of selecting the menu and table settings was easy and straightforward too. I'd 100% recommend Spilled Milk for your wedding.

We used Spilled Milk Catering for our daughter’s wedding at Shadow Creek. Heather was wonderful to work with and the food and staff were amazing! We are still getting compliments from guests - some even saying they’ve never had food that good at a wedding. The presentation was creative and unique too. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I used Spilled Milk Catering for our wedding and our guests are still talking about the food. The presentation was incredible and the food was absolutely outstanding - we even had one couple tell us that out of all the meals they had in DC our wedding food was their favorite LOL. Heather and her team were great to work with and they were reasonably priced. Would 100% book again.

My husband and I knew from the jump that having good food at our wedding was one of our highest priorities, but were gobsmacked by how expensive catering in the DMV area is. We luckily chanced upon Spilled Milk Catering. We did a cross reference across at least 4 different catering companies and found that SMC provides the best value for the services offered. Our point of contact Heather is responsive and professional, and I really appreciated her interest in keeping things efficient. Her honest opinions when we got to the equipment rental stage was also super appreciated. She could've tried to sell us things we didn't really need, but she didn't. She really heard us on what we wanted to prioritize, which I don't think is always the case in this industry. On the day of our wedding, our guests raved about the food (the Parmesan chicken in particular). I highly recommend working with Heather and SMC for your catering needs.

I worked with Spilled Milk for my September 2022 wedding. To start with the good, the staff at our wedding and the food served was great, but working with Spilled Milk was such a headache that I would not recommend them unless they make significant changes/improvements. I worked only with Amit and began the process about 18 months before our wedding. Initially, before the contract was signed, Amit was friendly and responsive. Around the time we needed to schedule our tasting in Spring 2022, communication went downhill and did not improve. Amit was impossible to get in touch with and was very unresponsive via email. If he did respond, he would very curtly address maybe one of several questions we would ask. He consistently made us feel like he was too busy to give us the time we deserved and frankly paid for, and he was particularly patronizing towards me (the bride) whenever I would ask questions either in person or via email. Our primary issue centered around rentals. Amit did not come to the rental appointment and failed to provide pricing information for the items we chose after the appointment. Despite quoting $3000 in our initial contract, and confirming in writing that the rentals we chose were “about that price” in August, I found out one week before my wedding (when he sent the final contract several days late) that our rentals were in fact $7,800. We then had to scramble to choose other items. Amit did provide a small discount for his error, but the rentals were still almost double what he quoted us, which makes his initial quote feel dishonest, and he never reached out to apologize to us directly. His extremely poor communication and attitude made the process unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. If I had known how large of a role the caterer played in the wedding process, I would not have chosen Spilled Milk and if I had it to do over I would choose another company.

Spilled Milk did a great job catering our 130+ person wedding. They were flexible with the menu items and worked with us to meet our budget. Our guests raved about the food, everyone ate their fill, and the service was timely and professional. They also handled the rentals, which meant it was one less vendor contract to manage. We appreciated that Amit, the owner, was our primary contact and responded quickly to our questions.

My wife and I used Spilled Milk as our caterer for our wedding at DAR Constitution Hall and they were true professionals. Amit was a joy to work with and extremely flexible on options we selected for our event. Providing all necessary tables, chairs, place settings, etc also mad our lives that much easier. We look forward to working with Spilled Milk again at our next party!

I cannot recommend Amit and Spilled Milk highly enough. From the moment we first connected with Amit, his energy and expertise immediately sold us. When selecting a caterer, I really did not realize the critical role they play in the overall success of an event. From our timeline, to our floor plan, to our meal selections, Amit was in command and made excellent recommendations. I went into my wedding day with complete and total confidence in him and his team. I trusted him completely, and he and his team blew us away. The food is by far some of the best we've ever had, truly. The display and presentation is what really sets Spilled Milk apart from the rest - creative, fun and innovative, our guests were totally wowed from start to finish. The staff and servers were extremely professional and effective - all the food was hot, served to our 200+ guests quickly, and we never had a line at the bar. Our guests raved about the food, from the appetizers to the entrees to the late-night snacks. Working with Spilled Milk was really a highlight of our wedding experience. They are the best in the business!

One of the most memorable aspects of our wedding day was the excellent food and service provided by Spilled Milk. The staff was accommodating and very professional. One of the nicest touches was the coordinated service when presenting the courses. Best wedding food we have ever had and many of our guests commented the same.

Amit provided excellent food and rentals for us on our big day! We had two events that Spilled Milk catered - Friday night was Indian and Filipino food, then Saturday night we had your classic beef or fish or vegetarian options. Let me say, the versatility this catering company has is wild!! People were shocked that we had the same caterers on both nights mostly because of how authentic and tasty the Indian and Filipino food was! Everyone raved about the food and Amit was professional and easy to work with. The rentals were perfect and seamless. I highly recommend them!! In the words of my husband, a man of few words, "Food was spectacular. Hire them."

We hired Spilled Milk Catering to cater our 5/6/22 wedding. Heather was incredible to work with right from the start and created such a unique menu for us that we were super excited about. As soon as we did the tasting, we were sold. Throughout the whole catering planning process, she was a huge help and walked us through every step (from food and drink selections to rental selections to catering-related décor). She was also super accommodating to last minute changes that we had to make with our guest counts/meals. The food at the wedding was delicious and many of our guests raved about it! You can also tell that SMC pays attention to the details from the presentation of their appetizers and plating of the main course. The staff were very friendly and professional. The only reason that I am giving 4-stars is because there were a few things that didn’t turn out the way that we were hoping. First, our late night snack was a pretzel stand, and some of the pretzels were overcooked and burned on the bottom. In addition to this, the staff walked away with the pretzels as some guests were trying to one. Second, we planned to have a guacamole cart during cocktail hour with 3 flavors of guacamole. On the day of, it seemed that there was only one flavor of guacamole, and the chips were soggy (and it wasn’t on a cart that we paid to rent). Besides these minor issues, SMC did an excellent job catering our wedding and I would highly recommend them!

I judge weddings by the food so it was SUPER important to my husband and I to have great wedding food. Everyone kept recommending SMC to us so we inquired. Heather was very nice and helpful from the very beginning. At our tasting the food was excellent and we were so excited to serve it on our big day. We did the beef tenderloin, blackened salmon, and mushroom ravioli; along with five passed apps. On our wedding day everyone kept commenting on how amazing the food was. I think my cousins were waiting at the kitchen exit, every time a server came with a fresh tray. From the appetizers to the main course, it was all delicious. I knew it was good when my super foodie older brother tasted the beef and said “how did they do this, there’s no kitchen here?!?!” And that’s correct, our venue just had a warming kitchen and our food all tasted hot, fresh, and amazing. Book SMC, you won’t be sorry!

Spilled Milk was a FABULOUS caterer for my wedding. Heather was super responsive throughout the process. The food was absolutely delicious- far and away the best of all the places I tried. And the food day-of was just as delicious as at our tasting, even when made en-masse. Our guests were all big fans!

I can’t say enough good things about Spilled Milk Catering! First, Heather is phenomenal to work with. She was incredibly responsive from our very first interaction and always followed up right on schedule. Heather helped us navigate through a few specific dietary challenges to put together a menu we were really excited about–and the food did not disappoint on the day of! From the hors d'oeuvres to late night snacks, our guests were raving about the food. The table settings were beautifully done. The service was incredible as well–the staff were all helpful, professional, and efficient and helped make sure that all of our guests were taken care of all night. Highly, highly, highly recommend working with Spilled Milk!

We used Spilled Milk for our caterer for our wedding this weekend at Toolbox. Heather Ellis was a dream to work with. Extremely responsive, professional and knowledgeable she was able to guide us through the process and we felt we could completely trust her advice and taste. The Captain during the ceremony ran the experience seamlessly and we loved that we had our own waiter taking care of us! The food, especially the passed bites, were excellent and presented beautifully. Couldn't recommend more.

Spilled Milk Catering may have been the highlight of my wedding. The food was astonishingly great and all night long people were commenting to us that the tacos/potatoes/latkes/mozz balls etc etc were the best that they had ever had. Beginning with our tasting a few months before the wedding, the catering staff went above and beyond to make my husband and I feel like we were the most important people on the planet. They were attentive to our needs and accommodating to our wishes of making some dishes more veggie friendly. I appreciated that most of my communication in planning the wedding and menu went through the owner of the company; I felt like there was no small thing that was going to fall through the cracks. Truly an amazingly professional and delicious company - I will be dreaming about those Peruvian Purple Potatoes for the rest of my life.

Spilled Milk did an awesome job for our wedding! They were very flexible, we knew we wanted to have a couple of stations and Spilled Milk provided probably 10-15 options that all sounded delicious. We ultimately decided on a Mediterranean mezze and mac and cheese station, which were both delicious. The passed appetizers and desserts were all delicious as well!

Holy Mary mother of Joseph hire these people!!! We could not have been happier with Spilled Milk. Heather was an absolute dream to work with especially given that she played ball with us on a few big items. Even after the tasting we kept saying we were so sad that we had to wait a year to eat that food again and even more sad to only get to eat it one more time. Not a single person did not rave about the food or tell us it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. Heather - do you cater regular Tuesday evenings? Asking for a friend.

We have a lot of positive things to say about Spilled Milk. Most importantly, the food was delicious. We wanted a fall-themed menu and they completely delivered for every part of the meal. Even from our initial tasting we were raving about it. I couldn’t wait to have the parmesan-crusted chicken again at our wedding and my mom said the salad was one of the best she’d ever had. Unsurprisingly, everyone cleared their plate at the wedding even though we had just given them another meal a few hours prior. Spilled Milk also brought a lot of extra touches that helped make the day more special. People really appreciated the hot apple cider at our chilly, outdoor fall ceremony, as well as the late-night snacks that were brought on trays to the dance floor. I will add that the on-site staff were a joy to work with. We had a very complex wedding day including two ceremonies and two receptions, and they took it in stride. For the first reception we brought our own traditional food in, and Spilled Milk helped serve it buffet-style and keep it warm. I think there were some difficulties keeping some of those dishes replenished, but otherwise they handled this extra reception very well. The one major issue we had was communication while planning for the wedding. We would get e-mails about things we needed to attend without much leeway. We planned our wedding from out-of-state and both work during the week, but we’d get an e-mail saying we needed to schedule an onsite venue walkthrough with them for a particular time on a particular weekday in the next week. We were able to send our moms in our stead (bless them) and we do realize that the walkthrough is important, but a little more flexibility given our remote situation would have been appreciated. Later, when we were getting close to the day, we were completely unable to reach our contact at Spilled Milk for a few weeks despite some important final details to iron out. We sent multiple e-mails and tried calling several times. It was only when we had our day-of-coordinator reach out that we heard back. Again, we do understand that caterers are probably super busy this time of year, but a simple acknowledgement that they received our e-mail and would get back to us would have been sufficient to help ease an otherwise stressful process. All in all, we do recommend Spilled Milk because the food was delicious, and the event overall did turn out great. Just know that communication might be a little spotty during planning, but they did deliver when it counted.

Using Spilled Milk for our daughter's wedding was one of our best decisions. Heather was great to work with. Her professionalism and expertise helped everything to go smoothly and according to plan. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive to our needs. Bride, groom, and guests were all very happy!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with the wonderful Heather to plan and execute my dream wedding. Even though she gave birth a few weeks prior to my date, she was punctual in her communication and made sure that everything was taken care of before her maternity leave. The staff was excellent at setting everything up exactly as was outlined and was almost too efficient at breaking everything down. The only negative was people's drinks were whisked away as soon as they were set down, but it didn't affect anyone's night. We got a lot of complements on the food and enjoyed the whole experience from day one to finish.

We were thrilled to work with SMC but unfortunately have experienced inconsistency between our tasting and the even meals. All of appetizers were served cold and the chicken over cooked/quite different from our tasting. We had multiple severe allergies amongst our guests that were forgotten or mixed up, putting many at risk. Luckily each of them was able to catch the issue before eating, but that is definitely a safety issue to consider. Guests were told that the kitchen had run out of an entree and were then served something they hadn't ordered (again without confirming allergies), even though we had accurately given our meal counts weeks prior. We reached out immediately to allow them to correct the situation but have yet to receive a response.

Heather is awesome. She's responsive, thoughtful, accommodating, and even kind of funny (which is very appreciated when you're having a pre-wedding freak out). Her organizational skills, flexibility and advice were all key to making our wedding run smoothly. And the food! The food is delicious; we got so many compliments both during and after the reception about how tasty it was, and more than one person tried to take some home (despite not bringing tupperware to a wedding). They also were very attentive to what we wanted - we have a somewhat eclectic taste in food (Southern! Persian! Mexican!) and they whipped up options that were SO good and fit the bill perfectly. (Our "small bites" included elote, kofta, and a "barbeque chicken donut," and somehow all of them were equally incredible). Spilled Milk also took care of the rentals and linens, and worked with us as we tinkered with the guest list and our needs. In short, I really can't recommend them enough.

We used Spilled Milk for our wedding on 8/29/2021 and could not have been happier with how everything turned out. Heather and her team were wonderful to work with in the lead-up to our wedding, including being so flexible and understanding with our 3 wedding date postponements due to Covid. We appreciated their responsiveness and organization throughout our planning process. And, of course and perhaps most importantly, the food on our wedding day was amazing! We had so many guests comment on how great the food was, from hors d'oeuvres to salads to entrees. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We highly recommend Spilled Milk as a part of your wedding day!

SMC delivered quality service and AMAZING food. Our July 31, 2021 wedding was originally planned for May 30, 2020, and we postponed the wedding twice. Over the entire time we coordinated with Spilled Milk- over two years- Heather was super responsive, patient, and kind. She and her whole team are absolute rock stars. We held our wedding at the Torpedo Factory, which meant we had to provide everything for the wedding- SMC managed both our catering and all of our wedding furniture and linens, meaning that they were responsible for most of the big day- and they did an excellent job. They accommodated so many requests for us, including a special request from my husband, who is a bartender, to make his own cocktails and transport cocktail materials to them. Their staff was excellent, kind, and quick, and every bite of the food was as delicious as I remembered when tasting it so long ago. I had been dreaming of the crab tacos for a long time and I have to admit they were even better than I remembered. So many of my guests continue to rave about the food- it was a sure highlight! On top of all of this, we simply knew we were in good hands going into the day because Heather made everything leading up to it feel easy. If I could give SMC 6 stars, I would.

The SMC team is absolutely incredible. We worked with Heather, who we loved from day 1 – she helped us pick out all of our décor, worked with us on customizing our menu, and was all around extremely helpful and attentive. The food was delicious – and that’s coming from people who have never been impressed with wedding food. The apps were presented so creatively/professionally, the dinners were so good that we asked for the trio plate for ourselves because we couldn’t decide, and the service was so amazing. They had a person designated to make sure we (the bride & groom) had everything we needed all day – even during photos, we had someone jumping in between shots to make sure we got a sip of water or an app (thank goodness because otherwise there would have been no time). Overall, the presentation, taste, quality, and service were unmatched and we’d go with SMC again in a heartbeat if we ever get the chance to host a big event again.

Seriously outstanding and phenomenal service!! We booked Spilled Milk for our wedding and they did not disappoint at all but went above and beyond from the staff to the food. I worked closely with Heather who is absolutely amazing at her job!!! You honestly cannot go wrong with choosing them as your caterer. 10/10 highly recommend!!!

Amit and the Spilled Milk Team are absolutely incredible - and there's nothing they can't tackle. After cancelling our larger out-of-state wedding, we hired Spilled Milk for our local microwedding with only 6 weeks to plan. Not only is their food as good as a 5-star restaurant, they were also our 1-stop shop for all rentals (tables, chairs, linens, glassware, etc), lighting, and sound and A/V. They're poised, responsive, experienced and our wedding wouldn't have been the success it was without them. Highly recommend - especially in these COVID times.

This food IS AMAZING! My mother-in-law is Italian and has lots of opinions on food and my wife is known as a foodie (all four of our toasts at the wedding mentioned her amazing skills in the kitchen) so finding the right catering was essential to us. Spilled Milk knocked it out of the park! From the moment we got in touch with Heather, we just knew this was going to be a great fit. The list of choices that my wife and I were able to pick from was extensive and the tasting experience was great. Heather listened to our likes and dislikes and helped us find the perfect menu. And it worked! Our guests are still talking about the both the hors d'oeuvres and the main courses. Communication was great and Heather was a valuable partner as she had worked with our venue before. Our contract was clear and easy to understand and didn't have any surprises. The food and service was perfect and I would highly recommend Spilled Milk to anyone and everyone! ps. the fried chicken sliders are amazing!

My husband and I went with Spilled Milk for our wedding caterer the fall of 2019 and of many incredible decisions we made, they were our best! Heather and her team at Spilled Milk were incredible to work with. From putting on an incredible tasting to help us finalize our preferences, to helping us plan a perfectly customized menu for our reception, they were so responsive and engaged throughout the entire wedding planning process! Our guests still rave about the food and drinks, and the party absolutely wouldn’t have been the same without their attention to detail, commitment to quality and eye for design. Spilled Milk has the best food I've ever tasted. I've traveled across the country and eaten foods in over 20+ countries. If you are in need of a cater, you should stop searching now and call Amit. His level of professionalism is unmatched. He is organized, detail-oriented and does not forget a single detail of your event. I will hire Amit again and would be honored to eat his food ASAP.

Heather and the team at Spilled Milk Catering did a wonderful job helping us come up with a unique menu for our outdoor daytime picnic-ish wedding. While SMC was more expensive than many of the other caterers we received proposals from, after the tasting we knew that the quality far exceeded any of the others are we are so glad we went with SMC. They were also very helpful accommodating some of our family's dietary restrictions. Besides the food, the entire process of choosing equipment and linen rentals was very easy, and we built a fun and colorful place setting using the base package linens. At least ten different guests have reported back that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, so we are very glad we chose SMC!
