SMC was transparent with pricing each step of the way and provided frank advice on where we did not need to be spending if we didn’t care too much for one thing or another. The cocktail appetizers, drinks, meal, and ceremonial cake were so tasty and beautifully presented. Everyone on the staff was friendly and efficient and looking sharp as they buzzed around seamlessly. SMC helped with our search for a sofa for a tea ceremony, which we ended up not getting, but we appreciated their assistance in finding options from local event furniture rental companies. We brought our own assortment of desserts and SMC nicely presented them for our guests to ensure everything was fresh and looked classy. Can’t go wrong with these seasoned pros who have a creative flair!

r! We loved that their options felt a bit more fun and modern, not as traditional "wedding" food as you'd expect. We really appreciated how flexible and creative Amit and the team were throughout the entire process- you can tell Amit really loves what he does. They were willing to create an appetizer that was not on their menu, which ended up being one of our favorite bites of the day; they also worked with us on choosing a pasta for our first course instead of a salad and some other creative touches we wanted to add (like a compound butter for the table). The food felt like the perfect reflection of us, and everyone loved it on the day of! Amit's team was also so incredibly professional and attentive- there was one server who consistently made sure we had enough to eat during our cocktail hour (which is not easy to do as the bride and groom!) and made plates for us of all the options, and we saw that food was regularly being passed around at the cocktail hour and brought out seamlessly during dinner. We didn't always feel that they were the most responsive during the planning process, but everything came together perfectly for the wedding, which is all that matters!

he costs and fees are ridiculous. For the amount paid, the service is trash throughout the planning process. Overall spilled milk was unreliable and unaccommodating. They advise us things are customizable at the beginning but as time went on, anything we asked for, regardless how small comes with a fee. The fee is not small either. We felt the asked fees were very unreasonable. We also didn’t get explanation on how the pricing worked. Not for once we felt like they cared about us or this event. For the first trashing, the bok Choy that came with the main dish was extremely salty, we couldn’t eat it. So we asked for a second tasting which then they said it would be $500 to do a second tasting for 3 main entrees, not including hos d’oeuvres or dessert. We are providing our own alcohol, and when we asked them to include some garnishes/juices/soda for cocktails (won’t cost over $100), they asked for $6 per person (over 60 guests), even though in previous emails they have said they’d provide all garnishes and mixers, conveniently leaving out the surcharges. If they were to provide more mixers to properly accommodate all the guests, it’ll be $25 extra PER HEAD COUNT, which is ridiculous considering we are providing the expensive portion of the cocktail- the alcohol.. in the end we never ended up getting any mixer/garnishes back. We have provided bitter, sugar rims, boxes of salt rims, orange peels, and many other garnishes. Where did they go? If you are planning a wedding/event, skip this one!! I made the mistake by not checking all the bad reviews first. Wasting money is one thing, being angry even on my wedding week because I had to deal with them is another. The day of the event the servers were really nice so no complaints there. Cocktail hour small bites were good. However the seated dinner was NOTHING like the tasting, they changed the flavors and the cut of the pork completely. The meat was dry and we were very disappointed. They also forgot dessert utensils, the guests had to ask for them! At the end of the night, the cleaning crew tossed items sooo early that our guests didn’t get to keep their menu/name cards. People were upset about it because they were told they could come back to get things after the send off but clearly the cleaning crew did not listen!! They also threw away A LOT of alcohol/mixers without asking us if we’d like to keep them. We paid for them they should’ve at least asked! We also didn’t get to try the desserts at all. Booking them is one of my biggest wedding regrets.

was also very good. We worked with Amit, the owner, and he was very flexible in customizing the food to how we wanted it. On our wedding day, the staff we had was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the food that we received at our reception was not exactly what we got during the tasting. The presentation was disappointing compared to what we saw, and one of our main entrees didn't taste the same as we remembered. Also, one of our appetizers wasn't customized to how we specified. We spoke to Amit after the event, and he apologized for those things. Overall, it was disappointing that we didn't exactly what we got during the tasting, but despite that, we thought the team did a good job.

ade the whole process so easy to navigate. From the first contact, she was friendly, direct and responsive. The tasting was amazing and everything was incredibly delicious. The cost was very comparable to the other catering companies we were looking at, but they offer more apps for the price. The entrees were absolutely fantastic, and the desserts were perfect. We wanted something that people could dance and eat, and they delivered. Not only is the food 10/10, the service was 15/10. The staff was amazing and were quick, efficient and didn't let anything phase them. Even when a place card or two wasn't in the right place, they were quick to find a resolution without causing a scene or chaos. Also, my husband and I had a server devoted to just us, and she was amazing. She made sure to find us throughout the cocktail hour to make sure we were getting fed, and during dinner, we were never without a wine/water refill. Everything was perfect and we got so many comments about the food. Highly recommend!

Heather was our main contact, and she provided excellent expertise and recommendations throughout the process, while listening to our desires and dreams. We had very specific dietary restrictions, and they were able to accommodate our needs while providing delicious and high-quality food options. We cannot say enough about the food and drink: from the fresh passed appetizers, to specialty cocktails and fun dessert bar. But the service of their team was most impressive, moving quickly, efficiently and with ease, we were so pleased and thankful. They made our day run so smoothly and we highly recommend their team! Their services were not cheap, but we felt it was really worth it.

od I’ve ever had. In fact, months after our wedding I’m still hearing friends and family members rave about the food! All of the food was incredible but I wanted to note my favorites: ahi tuna on a lotus chip, bulgogi tacos, and catfish sliders for appetizers, the squash ravioli, and the short rib. I’m normally not a huge fan of wedding cake but the complimentary ceremonial cake they provided for us was incredible. We picked the lemon pound cake with lemon curd and raspberry jam filling. Heather was great to work with when it came to picking out rentals. Our venue didn’t have any equipment so we had to pick out chairs, linens, place settings, and utensils. We subcontracted for rentals with Select Event Groups through Spilled Milk. Heather came with us to the showroom and helped us pick out everything. She has an incredible eye and did a wonderful job of guiding us through our choices. Besides the incredible food, the staff did a phenomenal job with the service and prepping the space. We had an outside wedding but it rained so we had to go with the rain plan which meant our tent which was supposed to just be for the reception had to be used for the ceremony as well. The SMC staff did an excellent job of setting up for the ceremony and then flipping the entire space for the reception in just the hour or so we had for cocktail hour. They also assigned two wait staff to me and my husband who were always there with an app or drink when we needed it! If I need catering for any event in the future Spilled Milk will be the first I call!

in the hospitality industry, and both of us generally are not impressed with food at weddings --- but Amit and his team absolutely crushed it. The food at the wedding itself was even better than when we did the tasting where we had almost 200 guests. Amit allows an incredible amount of flexibility -- we began with a discussion of styles of food we like, items that we would love to see, and he helped to curate a totally custom menu for us -- and even took a recipe/dish from one of our favorite restaurants to recreate it. Admittedly, during the planning stages we wished some of the response times were a shorter, but by no means did we feel like SM was unresponsive. After we created our theoretical options we did a tasting with Amit with about 135% of the menu options we would end up selecting, so that we could narrow down our final selections. On our wedding day it seemed like he brought an army -- every time you turned around we had a staff member ready and waiting with food or a tray to clean/take any dirty plates or dishes. The passed food was plentiful, and the bar was handled well to avoid huge lines forming. We've heard from SO many that as a couple you don't get to eat on your wedding day but Amit's team absolutely made sure that was not the case (as did our wedding coordinator). When the food came out it was hot and mind blowingly good. We had family style service with platters of sides hitting tables and French entree service. Servers synchronized the dropping of plates which is an amazing touch. 100% we would recommend anyone to use Spilled Milk for their wedding -- --- obviously we might be a little biased since it was our own wedding but it was the best food we've had at a reception, and many many of our guests have told us the same since the wedding day.

s for hors d’oeuvres d’oeuvres – we were also able to bring our own alcohol so long as the caterers provided the bartenders. The bride and groom were also given their own waiter which came in handy as the bride never had to get her own drinks the whole night. From the beginning, they allowed us to go for the tasting before signing the contract as we were deciding between a number of caterers. The tasting was very personal with full portions and the service from the staff and chef were the best we had. Spilled Milk asked if there was anything we’d like to change like add more salt or less of the sauce or a particular flavor which was very nice that they wanted to personalize every touch. You’re able to choose different sides with each dish and even do combination platters for bride and groom (thought the night-of we had to ask our planner to go back to the kitchen to remind the chefs about that). We ended up adding the cake and we were allowed to taste the cake through cupcakes later since we hadn’t been able to taste them during the original tasting. The only thing we wish we were able to do is to taste the hors d’oeuvres we ended up choosing – we actually had to swap them out due to our guests and because there are no group tastings, we would’ve had to foot the bill for a whole new tasting instead of just the price of the few hors d’oeuvres, which we were willing to pay for. While Spilled Milk was very responsive when we were nailing down the contract before signing, after signing the contract we had some differences between what we wanted (with the advice of our planner) and what Spilled Milk suggested. Instead of compromising they seemed to push harder in the direction they wanted us to go. Maybe because it was easier, or less work, but it did feel a bit like they just didn’t want to do it so they were trying to shrug us off. Lastly they sent a thank you card a few months later and changed my name to Seth…wonder if I should change it legally?

For one thing, every other caterer we interviewed said they could do Persian food, and then would propose a menu with things like channa masala and dal. Wrong country!! But SMC proposed ACTUAL Persian food, so they were already a frontrunner before even the tasting, and the tasting itself sealed the deal. Absolutely everything we tasted in the planning stages was phenomenal, and the food served at our wedding was exactly what we expected - no loss of quality at all. Heather, our account rep, was with us every step of the planning process including meeting with us at the showroom for Select Event Group, SMC's rental partner--Heather always had great advice and suggestions to make us feel more at ease about the frankly overwhelming planning process! The staff who worked our wedding day were efficient, courteous, and responsive as well, and everyone's dietary restrictions were accommodated without a hitch. Not a single complaint, we can't recommend SMC enough!

kily chanced upon Spilled Milk Catering. We did a cross reference across at least 4 different catering companies and found that SMC provides the best value for the services offered. Our point of contact Heather is responsive and professional, and I really appreciated her interest in keeping things efficient. Her honest opinions when we got to the equipment rental stage was also super appreciated. She could've tried to sell us things we didn't really need, but she didn't. She really heard us on what we wanted to prioritize, which I don't think is always the case in this industry. On the day of our wedding, our guests raved about the food (the Parmesan chicken in particular). I highly recommend working with Heather and SMC for your catering needs.

eadache that I would not recommend them unless they make significant changes/improvements. I worked only with Amit and began the process about 18 months before our wedding. Initially, before the contract was signed, Amit was friendly and responsive. Around the time we needed to schedule our tasting in Spring 2022, communication went downhill and did not improve. Amit was impossible to get in touch with and was very unresponsive via email. If he did respond, he would very curtly address maybe one of several questions we would ask. He consistently made us feel like he was too busy to give us the time we deserved and frankly paid for, and he was particularly patronizing towards me (the bride) whenever I would ask questions either in person or via email. Our primary issue centered around rentals. Amit did not come to the rental appointment and failed to provide pricing information for the items we chose after the appointment. Despite quoting $3000 in our initial contract, and confirming in writing that the rentals we chose were “about that price” in August, I found out one week before my wedding (when he sent the final contract several days late) that our rentals were in fact $7,800. We then had to scramble to choose other items. Amit did provide a small discount for his error, but the rentals were still almost double what he quoted us, which makes his initial quote feel dishonest, and he never reached out to apologize to us directly. His extremely poor communication and attitude made the process unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. If I had known how large of a role the caterer played in the wedding process, I would not have chosen Spilled Milk and if I had it to do over I would choose another company.

Throughout the whole catering planning process, she was a huge help and walked us through every step (from food and drink selections to rental selections to catering-related décor). She was also super accommodating to last minute changes that we had to make with our guest counts/meals. The food at the wedding was delicious and many of our guests raved about it! You can also tell that SMC pays attention to the details from the presentation of their appetizers and plating of the main course. The staff were very friendly and professional. The only reason that I am giving 4-stars is because there were a few things that didn’t turn out the way that we were hoping. First, our late night snack was a pretzel stand, and some of the pretzels were overcooked and burned on the bottom. In addition to this, the staff walked away with the pretzels as some guests were trying to one. Second, we planned to have a guacamole cart during cocktail hour with 3 flavors of guacamole. On the day of, it seemed that there was only one flavor of guacamole, and the chips were soggy (and it wasn’t on a cart that we paid to rent). Besides these minor issues, SMC did an excellent job catering our wedding and I would highly recommend them!

We did the beef tenderloin, blackened salmon, and mushroom ravioli; along with five passed apps. On our wedding day everyone kept commenting on how amazing the food was. I think my cousins were waiting at the kitchen exit, every time a server came with a fresh tray. From the appetizers to the main course, it was all delicious. I knew it was good when my super foodie older brother tasted the beef and said “how did they do this, there’s no kitchen here?!?!” And that’s correct, our venue just had a warming kitchen and our food all tasted hot, fresh, and amazing. Book SMC, you won’t be sorry!
