After a difficult and sometimes discouraging search for the perfect wedding dress, I found Sposabella in Feasterville, PA, and it completely changed my experience. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. I felt like the most beautiful bride in every single dress I tried on, but when I found the one, I just knew.
Their selection is amazing, with a wide variety of gorgeous, well-made gowns in various styles and sizes—all at unbeatable prices. The tailoring was exceptional; my dress fit like it was made just for me, and I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life. I’m so grateful to Sposabella for their excellent service and stunning gowns.
Not only did I find my wedding dress there, but several family members also found dresses they loved, and I even picked out my rehearsal dinner dress at Sposabella. If you’re on the hunt for your dream dress, make sure Sposabella is on your list—you won’t regret it!
I had a wonderful experience at Sposabella, I worked with Nicole and she was fantastic! She listened to the style I was looking for, and she put me at ease as I tried on various dresses. There was no pressure, which made for such a pleasant experience. I found a dress I adore, and I’m so excited to pick up my dress next year for my wedding!
I worked with Roberta and she was the sweetest person! So helpful! She not only got my dress last minute due to a date change for family reasons, but she also contacted a designer to see if they could make one last dress when the style i had completely fallen in love with had been discontinued. This place was so amazing to work with!!
I got my bridal gown here and it was beautiful. They have a better selection than many other stores in the area. My consultant that helped me try on dresses was very helpful and extremely patient - I couldn't make up my mind and I tried on a ton of options. I ordered a dress in November for a wedding 4 months later in March. They assured me they could get the dress in time and they did! I also used their tailor for my alterations and she did a beautiful job.
Diana from Sposabella was simply outstanding. She assisted me in finding an incredibly beautiful dress. I visited other bridal stores, but none could compare. Words cannot express the immense gratitude I feel. A huge thank you to her.
I could not be happier with my dress. They made it exactly how I wanted it to be! My day was perfect, and my husband even said i looked like a Disney princess. Thank you for giving me my dream dress Sposabella!
I had a great experience at Sposabella! I got a fair price for a gorgeous gown and veil. We loved working with Gloria, who understood my style immediately (I ended up buying the first dress I tried on!). She also suggested the bridesmaids color I went with.
We ended up with my gown, bridesmaids dresses, and a MOB dress from Sposabella. Everyone was happy with the huge selection. Plus, their tailoring costs were reasonable. Made it easy (and I appreciated their expertise).
What an amazing selection of gowns to choose from. My dress was the second dress I tried on the first day I came to the salon. I didn’t know at the time it was THE dress until my consultant, Belle, gave me advice that stuck with me: “You can wear a slim fitting dress to any event, but your wedding is the perfect excuse to wear the ball gown, once in a lifetime.”
I tried on other dresses, but I kept comparing to the dress from Sposabella. Until one day it just hit me that this was MY dress. Nothing else I put on could compare to the beauty and confidence I felt in that gown. My husband said it was absolutely stunning, my mom and sister said “it’s so you” - simple, classy, classic and elegant. My dress was absolutely perfect!
The professionalism and disorganization of Sposabella is a shame, because the inventory of dresses is great. I had a great first experience at Sposabella with the owner, and ended up purchasing my bridal gown here. I got a call a few months later saying that my dress had arrived, when in fact they did not have my dress. Fast forward to when my dress actually did come in... I arrived to Sposabella to try it on, super excited to finally try on my gown and they couldn't find it. They questioned me and ended up taking 30 mins to locate my gown. They were rude, unprofessional and short staffed. Buying a dress is supposed to be one of the fun parts of being a bride, and Sposabella made it stressful! I would not recommend visiting here for your dress.
I would give 0 stars. Do not go here. Stay away! I purchased my mother of the groom dress here. At my first fitting, the waist was pinned quite a bit because the dress was way too big and it also had to be hemmed and straps adjusted. My second fitting was 2 weeks before the wedding at which point I tried the dress on and said that it still looked too big. They said that is the way the dress should fit. Fast forward to the day of the wedding. I was standing waiting to walk down the isle and my strap broke. The wedding planner pinned it not once but twice. It would not stay so I walked down the isle with a safety pin showing. An hour into the wedding the second strap broke. Each time I was just standing there. I was so self conscious and could not dance or move without holding my dress up. We tied straps behind my neck . My neck and chest had red marks when I took it off- I was so I comfortable the entire night.
When I emailed them for a refund I received several outrageous emails from them accusing me of breaking the dress when the alterations were never done and 3 threads held the straps on.
They asked for pictures and a video proof of when the straps broke which is impossible. I did send them a picture, but they wanted video. They offered to fix the straps and dry clean which does me no good. I paid $350 dollars for alterations and that I what I asked for and still have not received a refund or response. The defective straps negatively impacted my experience at my son's wedding by saddening and embarrassing me. I detrimentally relied on the purported high quality the shop claims to have.
Bought my veil from here, the veil itself was beautiful, however the service was not good. Upon picking up my veil, it was stuffed in a used bag, did not have a tag, and was completely wrinkled, despite me being told that it would be steamed ahead of time. They did replace the veil with one that was steamed after we spoke to the manager about the veil, however, for the price, I felt disappointed in the service I received.
My review is over the character limit, but I have a lengthy review being shared around on Facebook.
Bottom line: DO NOT GO HERE! The staff and owner are rude, they lie, and they ordered me the WRONG size for my dress. Their sample dresses do not match what comes in, they are horrible to reach, and they were extremely rude throughout my entire experience. My dress wasn’t completely ok until 7 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING, and they had to rush order me a new dress since they messed up.
Overall, my experience here was a nightmare. It caused me so much stress and anxiety, and the owner was especially so rude. I really hope people can see my post going around on Facebook because that one is super detailed of all of the horrible things I experienced with this shop!
They are the BEST!! Best selection, wonderful to work with, helpful, knowledgeable and most important- reliable! My daughter had ordered her wedding dress elsewhere and it did not arrive on time- Roberta at Sposabella's was amazing!! She was able to get my daughter her dream dress in time and turn around a stressful situation into tears of joy! Go to Sposabellas!
So helpful during the dress selection. The person helping probably took me through trying on at least 30 dresses before I found the right one. The alterations on my dress were also perfect! Thank you for helping to make my day so amazing!
We came from the Poconos and drove 2 hours in a snowstorm but it was incredibly worth it! From the moment we stepped in, Dianna and the whole staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable! I was so nervous about trying on dresses being a mid size person and a plus size in bridal, I had no idea what to expect but Dianna pulled beautiful gowns and kept my spirits up throughout the appointment! This was our first stop and our last because I found the dress of my dreams! Will be recommending them to all future brides!
Found my wedding dress there all thanks to Maddy!! Thanks to her advise I found the gown I fell in love with. Everyone remarked how beautiful my dress was!!
I love everyone at Sposabella! I had such an encouraging experience there. My dress had to be altered a second time very close to the wedding and they were very accommodating. We also got my bridesmaids dresses here. There was a bit of a snag when some of the dresses they picked were no longer available, but everything was worked out quickly. Would recommend!
Sposabella was the first place I went when trying on dresses and they were so helpful, honest, and kind when I didn't know what I wanted in a wedding dress. I felt so comfortable with their staff and they helped me find my perfect dress. They were also so great with helping to find my beautiful bridesmaids and mother of the groom dresses. Wonderful staff and wonderful selection !!
This was the first stop I had planned when searching for a wedding gown… I chose Sposabella because they had the dresses that I liked from my online searches in stock to try on. My experience was amazing… my mom, sister and I were allowed to choose dresses for me to try on. Our stylist listened closely to our critiques of each gown that I tried on… then after trying on all of our choices she said that she had the perfect gown based on our thoughts regarding our own choices - she was right!!! She brought in the most gorgeous Casablanca gown that I ordered it that day and cancelled all of my other bridal dress shop appointments. I opted to pay a little extra for custom sizing and that was the BEST DECISION EVER!!! When the dress came in it fit absolutely perfect! Unfortunately COVID changed our wedding plans multiple times. The team at Sposabella was so accommodating and stored my gown safely for months. When it was time for the bustle and hem the seamstresses were amazing. I thought it was reasonable and they worked very quickly! I was finally able to have my wedding celebration on June 11, 2021 and I felt beautiful in my gorgeous gown!! Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
The selection of bridal, mothers, and bridesmaids dresses is fantastic and beautiful. Everyone in my wedding looked amazing. My only complaint is that they seem to often over size girls by a lot and the alterations were expensive. That being said I still highly recommend them.
I simply cannot thank the lovely ladies at Sposabella, especially Gloria. She was super sweet, kind, very knowledgeable, professional, and so helpful! They were nice enough to let me look though the dresses and pick a couple, along with some dresses that Gloria picked (She has wonderful taste) Gloria didn't simply say that each dress was 'The One'; she was honest with me, giving her opinion about which dresses looked good and which ones weren't for me. I definitely can appreciate that! I'm plus size, so getting dressed and undressed in front of strangers is very nerve wracking for me; NEVER at any point did I feel like my size was disgusting or that my extra weight was in the way. The store is stunning and they have so many dresses to choose from. I highly recommend Sposabella and I cannot wait to continue my dress journey with them!
Dress shopping in the first place is very frightening, on top of that im in the plus size range and was even more nervous due to the fact not many shops around have plus size dresses to try on. Lets just say after the first 10 minuets I was already relieved. Their selection here is impeccable. I was able to select multiple dresses to try on that aren't the typical "plus size" dresses. I loved so many dresses it really was hard to choose. The girls that were in there the day I picked my dress made me feel like a bride. Though the processes of getting my dress in and having it fitted was another nervous bit but once again when I came in they helped immediately with my fittings . They all were so helpful my last fitting I saw something that was off and both the manager and seamstress fixed my concern right away and fixed it in a few days. My dress was perfect and I couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else.
Walking into Sposabella, I was instantly impressed by their wide selection of dresses (bridal, mother of the bride and bridesmaids).
My bridal consultant Gloria was extremely helpful, listened carefully to my preferences and used that information to pull some seriously beautiful dresses for me to try on. She ended up pulling a dress I hadn't seen myself on the rack that blew me and my mom away. It was a top contender from the many dresses I tried on.
Although I ended up purchasing a dress elsewhere, I would highly recommend visiting Sposabella!
Sposabella made all my dress shopping dreams come true! It was such a special experience for me, my mom, my sister, and my bridesmaids. We got everything from them – bridal gown, veil, MOB dress, and bridesmaids dresses! The ladies at Sposabella (especially Roberta and Gloria) were a joy to work with. They were professional, attentive to detail, patient and friendly! By the end of our wedding planning experience they felt like family!!
Professional with beautiful gowns
Great experience here! Large selection and made me feel right at home. The seamstress did a wonderful job as well.
My first experience over a year ago, was when I first bought my dress and had an amazing experience with Tori. I'm now married and updating my review because things turned negative after I picked up my dress, the night before my wedding. I got it home and unzipped the bag to realize it was never steamed. I called and they promised it was, but it definitely did not look it. I also noticed multiple tiny holes along the bottom of my dress, but it was the night before my wedding, so there was nothing I could do. Throughout my wedding day, we kept finding large safety pins throughout my dress. We found about 10 of them by the end of the night. During alterations, we were told that the safety pins would be removed when the dress was steamed, which leads me further to believe that my dress was never steamed. Overall, I was very upset with my ending experience at Sposabella and will not recommend them again. It started off so great and just went south. The end result is the most important and it seems like they forgot that.
Every dress I tried on at Sposabella was beautiful. The staff was helpful, listened to what I wanted, and kept me well informed of prices. The entire appointment was wonderful. I ended up ordering my wedding dress here and I can't wait to wear it!
I had a great experience picking out my wedding dress at Sposabella. Casey, our consultant, helped me pick out my dress and she was great! They told me my dress would arrive in 6 months and it came in 5. Dominique called me immediately when it arrived and I came in to try it on. She was very professional on the phone and in person. Roberta, perhaps the owner or manager, was also very sweet and knowledgeable. Rayla, the seamstress, made my dress fit like a glove and did it in a timely manner. Overall, I highly recommend this shop. If I had to change one thing, I would have fewer dresses on the racks, though. It made the store seem a little messy because they were crammed in there and almost made the racks of dresses "unshoppable". You could tell even some of the bars with dresses hanging were bowing in the center because too much weight was on them.
Lots of gorgeous gowns to choose from for an incredibly reasonable price! Experienced staff was professional, friendly, warm and knowledgeable. Saying "Yes to the dress (and the cathedral-length wedding veil)" there was one of the few truly fun and magical parts of the whole wedding planning and preparation process for both the bride and me (her very stressed mother!). The store was designed so you could view a dress in both natural lighting and indoor venue lighting. I also got my mother-of-the-bride dress there and got so many compliments on my beautiful dress. The staff showed me ways to creatively wear the wrap that came with my dress and had excellent suggestions for accessorizing the gown with clutch and jewelry. My daughter's wedding dress consultant also encouraged her maid of honor to try on a bridesmaid dress that didn't "speak to us"while it was on the hanger and it ended up being the most flattering dress we could have imagined. One stop wedding attire shopping for the ladies!
If you are looking for a wonderful bridal shop in Lower Bucks County, PA, look no further! The staff at Sposabella were very professional at every stage of my dress buying experience. I never felt pressured. Once my dress was chosen, they were very accommodating and the seamstress was very careful to make the fitting changes necessary. The shop is a little pricey but you truly get what you paid for!
My mom and I both purchased our dresses from Sposabella-Bridal and MOB. I showed my consultant, Gloria pictures of several dresses I wanted to try on and she quickly helped me track them down. She suggested to try on my top pick last, knowing it would be the one. This was my first dress appointment so I wanted to check out other stores. I came back a week later and purchased my dress. My mom had a separate appointment for herself and when we arrived, they told her they were short staffed and she would have to help herself or come back another time. We were barely checked on the entire time and had to hunt someone down so she could make a purchase. They discussed alterations with her. Never mentioning the dress she purchased was an off the shoulder which complicated her alterations. I read really negative reviews about alterations so I took my dress somewhere else. Even though they continued to harass me about setting up an appointment and gave me a hard time about coming in to try on my dress before I took it with me. They charged my mom double than they originally quoted. She still wanted a few things done to the dress but they basically told her there wasn’t anything else they could do. She then was forced to take it somewhere else for them to get it right. Beautiful dress selection and a large assortment. They majorly lack in customer service.
Sposabella is the absolute best bridal salon! Fantastic customer service, friendly and very helpful consultants and beautiful gowns!! I highly recommend Sposabella.
They treat you like family from start to finish!
I wish there was an option for 0 stars... I will never step foot in this salon again. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30, which I arrived to at 3:20. I walked up to the counter and all three staff members seemed to pretend to look busy as they would not wait on me. I explained that I had an appointment and was asked to fill out a form on the types of styles I liked... this should have been done by a consultant to show that they understand my style. I waited about 15 minutes before I was asked, "Has your consultant seen you yet?", which she hadn't. The girl working at the desk suggested that I start looking around and directed me to an area where the type of dresses I would like would be. Once my consultant came to help she snapped at me telling me I was looking in the wrong area, when I was told to look there by a staff member. I also explained that I wanted a mermaid dress with straps... she basically laughed at me saying they don't make mermaid style dresses with straps. I know for sure that I tried on these types of gowns at other salons. I found it extremely unprofessional how unorganized and gross this salon was. The dresses were thrown around and I had to pick my own dresses out... the consultant did not suggest any dresses... how am I supposed to know what the salon offers?? My consultant seemed uninterested until I was considering purchasing a dress above my price range. This is when she became more vocal and tried talking me into buying the gown. She neglected to tell me that I would be buying this size 12 gown off the rack (I am a size 0). It would have been nice to know before seriously considering this gown. The consultant also tried telling me that I would need to order a size 8. I know you are supposed to size up in wedding gowns but sizing up 4 sizes? That just seems like unnecessary alterations. I am SO thankful I did not purchase from here.
DO NOT GO HERE!! I bought my dress here back in November, saw 3 other girls that I know wear the dress for their wedding before my dress even came in so I purchased a new one ( thankfully not there). I went in June when the dress came in and simply told them I wasn’t going to wear it for my wedding day, they said to keep it there and they would see if someone else would be interested in the dress. October I get a phone call saying I needed to pick up the dress by tomorrow which was Friday because they had new inventory in. I drove there Friday at 10am when they open and no one was there. I waited an hour in the parking lot and still nothing so I left. The next day I get a phone call saying they had a photo shoot and weren’t there (meanwhile it wasn’t posted anywhere that they weren’t there or wasn’t left on voicemail) and also said I should have made an appointment just to pick up the dress. So Saturday I go there and the woman who left me a voicemail told me she didn’t tell me to come Friday and basically called me a liar, she talked over me and we were basically yelling at each other back and forth. This place is so unprofessional and the women are RUDE! A bridal experience should not be this stressful!
My wedding dress was absolutely stunning. The staff was accomodating with fittings and alterations.
4.5 Stars
Bought my wedding dress here in Nov. 2017 for my August 2018 wedding. Gloria was the bridal attendant helping me and she was AMAZING. I did not feel rushed or pressured into anything and she ultimately ended up pulling the dress for me that I purchased.
My dress arrived at the salon in July. I found the dates and times for the seamstress to be pretty flexible - I can't remember her name but she was lovely to work with. Made me feel comfortable and really listened to what I wanted and liked/didn't like. Overall she did a fantastic job and I loved my gown!
Only one or two complaints about the salon as a whole - I wish I would have been told to order my veil the same day I ordered my dress. I ended up ordering the veil during my first fitting and it didn't seem like it was enough time to have it come in for my wedding. The assured me it would be fine though. During the week of my wedding, I had schedule to pick up my dress on a Sunday and when they called to confirm my appointment, I asked if my veil was in yet and they said it was still "in transit" and that they would call when it came in. Sunday came and I went to the salon to pick up my dress still thinking/worried that my veil was yet to come in. Turns out my dress & veil were there and everything was fine but I wish they would have called to let me know it was there so I didn't think about it for two days - brides one week out from their wedding don't need added stress!!!
Avoid at all costs. If you value customer service you may want to consider elsewhere. The staff was initially lovely. I expressed having 2 bridesmaids out of the state that would need their dresses shipped to them - telling them I did not want to incur any additional cost. I was told it would be taken care of. Because otherwise I would have considered a different location to purchase the dresses. I was again told it would be taken care of.
The dresses came in & while trying to coordinate having the dresses picked up/shipped out, the manager berated me and my fiancé, shouted over us, and called me a liar. Stating this is not their policy when I was specifically told that it wouldn’t be an issue. After about 10+ minutes of trying to explain this to her (tough when she shouts over you and doesn’t let you complete a sentence), she hung up on me. I tried to call back to coordinate a pick up, someone answered and then hung up several times.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did. Buyer beware.
Sposabella was a wonderful place to buy a wedding dress. From the start, the bridal salesperson MJ was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about their inventory and what would look good on me. I was very nervous about shopping, and she helped me feel very comfortable the whole time, and didn't hesitate to pull many dresses to help me find what I liked best.
I wound up buying a beautiful dress that was made by Casablanca, with an illusion neckline and back. From there, things went as promised, with it being delivered in the 8-9 month projected time frame, and alterations done quickly after that. Being a short woman, I needed quite a bit of alterations, and they were all done perfectly. This included significant hemming to multiple layers, adjustments to the elaborate beaded illusion top and taking in the dress, as well as creating a bustle. The alterations woman (I didn't get her name) was very helpful and open to working with me to get my dress just right, she was also very talented.
I know there were some less than great reviews, which made me nervous about working with this business, but my experience couldn't have been better. Thanks Sposabella!
I had such a wonderful experience at Sposabella!! I had scheduled 4 dress appointments for one weekend as my mom and sister had to fly in from out of town. Sposabella was my very first stop! The salon was neat and organized, had a vast selection of dresses, big windows with natural light, and incredible dressing rooms! I worked with Lauren- she was absolutely amazing!! Since this was my first stop, I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for and Lauren was so helpful and patient while I tried on 15+ dresses. Lauren knew exactly what would look best on my body type and made me feel at ease throughout the whole process!
Everyone was in agreement that I found my #1 contender for dress, but I didn't want to commit just yet and wanted to go to the other bridal stores. The other stores I went to didn't even compare in quality, aesthetic, or staff helpfulness. I ended up going back to Sposabella to say YES to the dress!!
Sposabella was such a perfect shop to get my wedding dress. I had the pleasure of working with Gloria the day I went for my dress and she was so amazing. She is so knowledgeable and really makes sure you absolutely love your gown. She pulled tons of dresses for me and I ended up loving the one that she pulled that was totally opposite of what I had asked for because you never know! It was the perfect day and I even had a large group with me which they accommodated nicely. After that, my fittings were great and so easy, Gloria helped pick out a perfect veil, and the dress was steamed and pressed to perfection at pick up. I received so many compliments on my dress and everyone was asking where I got it. I had so much fun trying on dresses and am so happy I made the decision to go with Sposabella. Such a great store and staff! Thank you!
This bridal store is by far the worst. I did not purchase my dress here (thank god) because I booked an appointment and a week later a lady called me back to reschedule telling me they could not take me that day.
I thought that was very unprofessional. Now today I thought let me give them a try because I was not having any luck finding the fur wrap I wanted for my wedding day. I walked in and was rudely asked by Gloria if I had an appointment. I stated I was there to see if they had any in stock fur wraps and she said they couldn’t take me today. Gloria was so unbelievably rude and classless. As a future bride I would never refer this place to anyone.
Customer service is key in this industry and making a bride feel comfortable and welcome is they way to be.
MJ was the absolute best when it came to finding my gown and veil. She just knew exactly what would be perfect. We didn't exactly like the color of the dress that I tried on and looking at the online photo it was hard to tell what it would look like. So MJ worked her magic and held the correct color underneath the beaded overlay. This made me feel a lot better when ordering a gown that I have no idea what it was going to look like. Especially for the price I was about to pay. We then found a perfect veil to go with. Everything seemed great until my dress and veil came in.
As I tried my dress and veil on something just didnt seem right. My veil was completely wrong. The lady came into the room and said no thats the one you ordered. I calmly stated back, no it is not can you please make sure this is mine. She left the room and I brought up pictures of my fitting. The veil on my head was NOT the veil I ordered. She came back into the room and said thats the one you picked thats your veil. I said it wasnt and I have the picture of me in the veil to prove it. After looking at the picture and getting the manager they finally believed me. BUT the issue was they couldnt find that veil in the store anymore so I would have to order a new one. I said that was unacceptable and they would have to contact the designer. They then called me 5 days later explaining that the designer messed up the order, not them and put the wrong number in the system and my new veil would be in, in 3 months. I was lucky my wedding wasnt so soon. No compensation was taken off.
My dress fittings were terrible.
My first fitting went great though the seamstress took the dress in and said to come back for my final fitting in a month. My second fitting the seamstress took TOO much in at my ribs as it wouldnt zipper, couldnt breathe or sit down. The dress was also not laying flat on my chest. My third fitting my dress was taken out TOO much that I raised my hands and it fell off. The dress was not laying on my chest you could see my boobs with every movement. My wedding was in 2 weeks. I already at this point had padding in my bra. The seamstress didnt want to take the dress back in so she stuffed more padding in the bra and told me keep my arms down. I told her I wanted the dress taken back in. She did not want to do that so she stuffed more into my bra to hold it up. She said thats just the way your dress is.
Ultimately, I didnt leave that place till my dress atleast fit better than falling off my body.
I was very unhappy with how their alternations work especially for the amount of money you pay for them. Also they cannot give you an itemized list as to what you are paying for as well. Very Very unhappy.
This bridal shop is extremely beautiful and some of the staff (mainly Gloria) are very nice, but that is where the magic ends. I tried on several blush wedding gowns at this shop upon my first visit and fell in love with a very romantic Essence gown. I went back several times with different family members and friends to look at the dress, try it on against others and get opinions. I decided to order the gown and got the exact colors and size/style as the sample. I ordered my gown in March for my wedding in October. I paid a cash deposit per their encouragement (they offer you a discount). The gown finally came in the second to last week of September. I made an appointment with the seamstress to try the gown on and get a quote for alterations. When I arrived, they brought the gown out and it looked taupe, not blush. I immediately began crying and the staff began telling me to stand in different lighting. In some lighting the gown looked tan, in others it looked nude. It didn't look blush. I showed the staff the picture from March showing a blush gown and they argued that this was the right color and that they cannot rely on a picture. I brought several people into the shop to see the gown over the next two weeks, all of whom agreed that it was no longer blush, and still the staff argued with me that I just changed my mind and that this was the correct gown. One staff member even yelled at me and my mother in law (as I was in tears), "are you calling me a liar?!" When trying to resolve the issues, the manager was relatively unavailable and when I asked if I could come in one last time to look at the dress with hopes that I would see blush, they told me the only day I could come in was a Thursday afternoon- all the while knowing that I have a wedding in a month and there was an issue with the dress. The scheduling was entirely inflexible and they had zero empathy. They immediately blamed me for the issue and failed to apologize for the situation. The whole customer experience was horrendous. Eventually, I was able to get 90% refunded to me and they shipped the dress back to the manufacturer. I had less than a month to get a new gown, off the rack, ten sizes too large and not what I originally wanted. This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had and I do NOT recommend going there. If you do decide to get a gown here, do not get anything out of the ordinary and do NOT pay cash!!! Also, look up photos of whatever gown you are thinking about choosing online ON ACTUAL BRIDES- not the stock photos. The lighting in this shop is clearly off...
Sposabella has an amazing selection of dresses and they spent a ton of time helping me find the perfect dress. I think I filled the whole fitting room with dresses. When I finally found the right one it was slightly out of my price range and they helped me out with a discount. I've seen other reviews where people were told not to take pictures but we took lots and nobody said anything. I had also read about issues with sizing but I felt that my consultant and I really chose the size together and she took my input seriously. The alterations were the only part i had any issue with. They were a bit pricey and in the end the main issue with my dress was not resolved. Great for dress shopping, but would recommend going elsewhere for alterations.
I highly recommend going to Sposabella for your wedding dress! I had shopped at a smaller boutique first, then David's Bridal, then lastly Sposabella. I originally purchased a dress from David's Bridal but had major regret and ended up trying again at Sposabella. They had the perfect dress for me, it was everything I wanted. They have a great selection at pretty affordable prices. Most dresses I saw were under $1500. Deb helped me at my appointment and she was so sweet and wonderful! She was very helpful and you definitely will not feel pressured into anything! I remember reading a few reviews on here before my appointment about people that work there being miserable or people just unhappy with their appointments but I did not see that at all. In my opinion it is a beautiful store with very nice ladies!
I did not buy my dress here but I wanted to still give a review for my experience. I had a younger girl who was helpful. She shows me a ton of dresses. Sponsabella has a huge selection of dresses and it's a beautiful salon. I didn't buy my wedding dress from here because it was a bit out of the way for me. I would suggest this bridal salon. They show you dresses in your budget and are very patient. I tried on 30 dresses that daY. Because it was out of the way,. This salon would have been the last spot I would go go because I liked so many dresses.
As soon as I stepped foot into Sposabella I felt so comfortable and so welcome. Being a plus size bride I had so many fears and doubts in my mind when it came to trying on wedding dresses. Gloria sat with me and we discussed styles, designers and most importantly budget. Without saying anything more Gloria went to work and picked out a few dresses while we browsed the store. The first dress she picked for me based on the photos I showed her of styles of dresses I liked was the dress I chose! I cant say enough good things about this store and its staff. They were all so accomadating and let me and my entire family come back on a Saturday so everyone including my grandmother could say YES to the dress :) SOOOOO beyond happy with my experience here!
After going to another bridal shop close by, walking into Sposabella was a breath of fresh air. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were told to take a look around. I told the woman helping me what I was looking for and she started picking dresses that might work. What I really loved though, was that she also told me, my Mom, and my sister to take a look around and pick out anything we liked! I loved that we were able to pick out the dresses instead of only the worker picking them for me. Once we picked a few we went back to the GIANT fitting room. It was lovely to have space that allowed everyone to be in the room with me while I tried on the dresses. After my dress came in, I had my alterations done at the shop. The woman I worked with was very meticulous and paid attention to every detail. She did an amazing job. Overall, the people here and the service really are above and beyond. If you want a nice bridal shop where you can be in control, look no further - Sposabella is the place!
When deciding on where to go bridal dress shopping, I used word of mouth recommendations. I didn't even look at any online reviews. I had friends that had gotten their gowns here and had no issues, one of which I was there for the purchase and pick up. That being said, I'm glad I didn't read the reviews because I may not have gone.
From what I read after ordering my dress it sounds like a lot of the issues come up in alterations. I had a private seamstress that I was planning to use, so that was not going to be an issue.
Gloria is amazing, when making your appointment ask for her! She was the salesperson for my friend and she really puts you at ease and knows what she is doing!
I worked with Roberta who was also great!
I went in for my dress one time and went back for a later appointment for accessories. The second time I believe the person helping us was very new, she was very pleasant to work with and helpful, however not the most knowledgeable. Gloria ended up stepping in and the first veil she put on me was the one!
My in store experiences were great. However, they really need to work on their communication. I ordered my dress in July and was told it should be in by January. I made my accessory appointment for November. When I arrived at the store they told me I would be trying on the accessories with my actual dress, however I was never called to be told it was in. I ended up leaving the dress there and planned to pick it up when the veil came in.
Early January I get a call asking me to make an appointment to pick up my dress. I told them I was waiting for the veil to come in, I get put on hold while they looked in the back, and they say "oh that's in too." So i make an appointment for the next week on Thursday. Tuesday I get a call saying we have great news! Your dress is in. Meanwhile it was in 2 months ago and I've already tried it on and am picking it up in 2 days. Like I said the communication skills really aren't there. I am very happy that I had a private seamstress to use because I would not have felt comfortable or confident in the timeline leading up to the wedding. The store itself was great and the consultants were great too, however I wouldn't recommend using them for alterations based on the horror stories I read and my personal experience with very poor communication.
The staff was initially very nice, and they took my measurements and told me to order 3 dress sizes bigger than I normally wear. I listened to them because they said wedding dresses run differently. When it came in the dress was huge and the seamstress had to make major alterations for it to fit me. I paid a huge amount for alterations, and then on my last fitting the lady told me I had only paid a down payment for the fittings and had not paid the whole cost. I made sure I had paid everything up front in cash (as they requested). They had no documentation of it and their book keeping was completely disorganized. They told me I couldn't leave the store with my dress until they figured it out. They tried to have me come back a week later even though I have to travel over an hour to get there, which I refused. They made it seem like it was my fault for not bringing my original receipt even though I paid for the fitting in January and it was now end of April. Beware of this store. They seem nice but are unprofessional and significantly overcharge for alterations after convincing you to buy a dress that is way too big. If you do purchase from them make sure to keep ALL receipts and documentation of what you have paid for.
I gave them two stars because they have a great selection, and the seamstress was very nice and made the dress look amazing even after having to significantly alter it.
I bought my dress from here and it is beautiful. However, the staff is very unprofessional and over booked my second fitting causing me to have to look around for alterations on my own. The manager never returned my calls and placed blamed elsewhere instead of correcting her mistake. Very disappointing!
I can't say enough good things about my experience at Sposabella this past weekend. Kim helped me select dresses to try on and was so welcoming to my group and I. She recognized this was supposed to be a fun time and let me try on a few dresses "just for fun" which was so appreciated! I found a dress I liked at another store earlier that day but due to a completely rude owner, I did not want to purchase it there and was so happy Sposabella had it and I could buy it from Kim. Kim and the owner [I think] were so helpful because I was between sizes and gave me the option to have a custom dress created by the designer [only $70 more!] which will save me a ton of money on alterations. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would [and already have!] recommended Sposabella to numerous people.
I love this place, and I absolutely LOVE my dress! The salon is gorgeous, and they have a very tasteful selection in very reasonable price ranges. My dress costed $2,000 total in the end with alterations and a special custom size order, and it easily could have passed for a $5,000-$10,000 dress! Seriously, everyone kept telling me how luxe and fabulous it looked, and I completely agree!
When I chose my dress, the woman working with me actually found it and suggested it after I showed her a photo of a celebrity dress that I loved. It's funny, the dress wasn't really exact at all, but just had a similar feel, but it captured everything that I loved about the photo I showed her, but in a style that was actually even more me than I could have hoped for. My mom and I were SO impressed at their ability to talk with me and see one picture of something that catches my eye and choose my wedding dress. I ended up loving what she found for me way more than everything I chose to try on for myself.
I considered giving a 4 star rating because of a few little issues I had, but I decided that they weren't bad enough to negate my 5 star level love for this shop. Regardless, I would like to share these experiences in case it's helpful.
My only cons were how long it took to get my dress, some minor miscommunication and something that was forgotten in my fittings. My dress took a lot longer than they told me to expect, which was fine because I ordered my dress well over a year out from my wedding. I think I just expected some communication about it in the process to ease my nerves. There was miscommunication about how to pee in my dress, which sounds silly, but it was something that REALLY stressed me out pretty close to my wedding. I have a bladder disease, so I have to pee A LOT. I chose a mermaid dress with a zipper back because I was told it would be very easy to get in and out of, and I wouldn't need to worry about a thing. When I went to my first fitting, the dress was not just a zipper; it was an inner corset, a zipper AND a long line of delicate buttons overtop! Don't get me wrong it was GORGEOUS. Even more beautiful than I anticipated, but it made it so that it would be very unreasonable to take it off to go to the bathroom. I had to wear it slightly less form fittingly on my wedding day so that it could be pulled up to go. In the end that worked out better because it turns out that it's hard to sit in a dress that's fitted as tightly as possible (lol) and it was significantly easier to dance in it that way too. I guess I just wish I had been aware of all of that when I made my selection, not that I could have imagined myself in any other dress anyway, but I'm just very particular and anxiety ridden, so I like to be prepared! My only other issue was that alterations forgot to do the work on my feather wrap shawl twice. The day before my wedding when I went to pick up my dress it was done, but not the way we talked about, but they were able to fix it that day while I waited, and it looked fabulous for my wedding day. I guess my point here is that there were some unexpected curveballs, that in my opinion some of this could have been avoided with better communication.
Over all though, they are really fabulous here and I TOTALLY recommend them, alterations and everything!
This bridal shop has fantastic dresses but absolutely atrocias customer service. I was told to order two sizes bigger than I measured and was told ordering the size I measure would be a huge mistake. When I received the dress it was very big. It was altered......altered wrong.....and altered again. It still does not fit right and my wedding is in 5 days. I am seriously considering purchasing another gown even if it's not one I want - from any other store except there just to ensure my dress fits the way I want it to. The associates in the store are horrific and are quick to make nasty comments to anyone. My first fitting I had to wait 40 minutes and was rushed through my first fitting. Also my belt wasn't sewed on because the seamstress decided to ignore my request. I WOULD NEVER recommend this boutique. Driving to ANY OTHER boutique is 100% worth it. Also I found my dress elsewhere for 300$ less...... Sposabella told me I wouldn't find the dress for less anywhere. They are liars....Say anything for a sale....will convince you to order a dress in a bigger size just to charge for alterations that are total crap. A high schooler could sew better.
I will start first by saying that the salon is BEAUTIFUL! Excellent selection and the owner is sweet as pie. My review is solely based on my experience with the seamstress.
Seamstress was unreliable and did not keep to appointments. I had an appointment scheduled for my first fitting. I also scheduled hair/makeup so I could see the full look. Less than a week a way and the seamstress asked me to move my appointment to the following day. Begrudgingly, I did, but could not change my trials as it was too last minute. Received another call later in the week and was asked to my my appointment time again.
I scheduled my second and final fitting within 2ish weeks to the wedding. I wanted to be as close as possible. When I went to try it back on I was with my sister. The hem was great, but the bustle was moved over WAY too far. Not sure how that happened when it was measured previously and I had lost weight. I blame it on oversight. But my sister pointed out the missing button (2nd one) and other loose buttons. It was reiterated several times that those would need to be fixed. The seamstress insisted it would be addressed.
Fast forward to 2 days before the wedding - I go to pick up my dress on the way to do other errands related to the wedding. I opened it up and checked the back - the bustle looked moved, but the button was NOT replaced and none of the loose ones were tightened. I will say I was ANGRY, but kept my cool. I said I am not picking this up until it is fixed. The owner swung in to action and thankfully found the same button and fixed the loose ones within the next 2 hours. I was aggravated for the inconvenience of having to travel back 30 minutes to go pick it up as I was not waiting around.
Now - for such an amazing boutique - the experience was tarnished due to the seamstress's lack of attention to detail and overall lack of consideration. I have 2 younger sisters that will be married in the near future and I honestly cannot say if I would recommend them. I would only say find the dress and then leave because the seamstress is a nightmare to work with.
Either way - my dress was stunning and I could not have been happier with the style choice.
I had a wonderful experience ay Sposabella with Rachel!! Sposabella has a huge selection of dresses, and Rachel helped me choose a wide variety of dresses to try on!! She was SO patient with me as I tried on gown after gown! (I am so indecisive) She picked out some beautiful dresses that looked gorgeous on that I would not have thought to try on myself!! I had so much fun trying on dresses here. The salon is beautiful, and I cannot say enough great things about Rachel! Thank you Sposabella for such a great wedding dress shopping experience!! I highly recommend going here!
I was very disappointed with my experience at Sposabella. I made my appt and was right on time but I was not helped for at least the first 20 minutes while there. If that wasn't bad enough, I was told "you will never get that dress for less than 1500 dollars." I highly recommend not going here if you want a personalized wedding experience.
I found my beautiful Allure gown at Sposabella. My bridesmaids and mother in law also purchased their gowns here. The seamstress was great. The service was good. I loved when picking up my gown, the owner helped me to the car with it and he even gave me some marriage advice.
2 stars are being given 1 star - I found and bought my dress (which i loved) from here and another star for Ally who was great to work with.
I would not recommend Sposabella to any bride to be. The shop is very nice, a huge selection, but I would pass on buying your dress from here. If anything go and try on and if you find something you like purchase it elsewhere.
Their customer service is lacking. I feel like I get better communication from comcast. No one in the shop knows anything about dress arrivals, order dates, etc. Every time I called they would say we need to speak to the owner and get back to me - which they never would. N all I was calling for was 1) can you confirm you ordered my dress - yep they never gave me confirmation. 2) can you give an estimate on when my dress or bridesmaids dresses are coming in - nope never got that.
Seamstress was also not great to work with. Yes they are pricing for alterations but even bridal shop is. Although, some other bridal shops in the area put a cap on alteration fees. So when they make you order a dress 3 sizes to big your not paying $$$ to get it altered to fit you. This is not the case here. When working with the seamstress I felt rushed. Not only did I have to talk her into making the alterations that were needed she had very little interest in ensuring the dress fit as it should.
With these fees thing I would recommend buying your dress elsewhere.
