I can't thank SLCC enough for such a wonderful day. The appetizers and dinner were amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests on how yummy it was. The atmosphere was so romantic and they were so willing to accommodate our requests. The service was impeccable even during a staff shortage due to the pandemic. Everything went so smoothly. I think this is one of the best venues when it comes to location (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception), food selection and quality, hosted bar, and level or service.
There are not enough starts to give SLCC. We had both our wedding ceremony and reception here, and the entire process was nothing short of amazing. The event coordinator was very responsive and walked us through the entire planning process. Pricing is very reasonable and you can customize your packages (appetizers, dinner, drinks, and linen). The food was the best food I've had at a wedding, and our guests raved about it all night. And, you cannot go wrong with their beautiful ceremony site - alongside the lake underneath the willow tree. I highly recommend hosting your wedding event here!
SLCC was the perfect venue for our wedding! The ceremony site is beyond beautiful with the lake behind you and the reception area is gorgeous!
Eryn, the event coordinator, did an excellent job at everything! She made sure every little detail was completed and the way we wanted it. I couldn't have picked a better venue for our perfect day!
Everything was wonderful! Torri was very helpful from the day we booked the reception. The food and service was exceptional. All of our guests have complimented us on what a beautiful setting the club was!
Our daughter was married at SLCC on May 28, 2017. EVERY single person we worked with at the club was exemplary. We used their recommended florist and linen specialist and could not have been more delighted. This facility is beyond beautiful. The food was outstanding, the servers were wonderful, the bartenders amazing, the wedding coordinator professional, kind and helpful and the General Manager and staff beyond compare. Our guests were amazed and we are still getting comments on this beautiful day. Thank you, SLCC.
The food was excellent, everyone told us they really enjoyed their meal! The employees were very accommodating and well staffed throughout the evening. I do think they should replace carpeting in hall ways, kinda ruins the esthetic and we were not allowed pictures on the greens... but overall we loved our venue
Please book this venue! I had my wedding reception here on August 20, 2016 and it was AMAZING! It went better than I could have imagined. From the professionalism of the staff to the helpfulness of the event manager, Torri, I have no complaints. Their many vendors have worked their before, and know how to run a successful event. (Especially the DJ Greg Martin!) They do have you pick from their vendors, but that is a blessing in disguise.
The day before the wedding reception, Torri the event manager and her team, set up all of my decorations, guest book, favors, signs, and supplies. This was a huge stress reliever to my family and I. Everything was taken care of and every guest I talked to said it was one of the best receptions and FOOD that they have ever been to and had.
AMAZING!!! <3 Thank you Spring Lake Country Club!
Spring Lake Country Club is a beautiful venue! We got many compliments all night about the venue that night - and we are still continuing to get compliments. The staff is very professional and made the night run extremely smoothly.
We couldn’t have picked a better venue! Spring Lake Country Club made it easy to plan our dream wedding. The new event coordinator was very responsive, accommodating, and helpful in fulfilling our wedding-day wishes. Our guests had nothing but good things to say too! We’re very happy that we chose Spring Lake Country Club for our big day.
My son got married on April 2, 2016 at Spring Lake CC. I have to say we were extremely impressed with absolutely everything. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious and the servers were the best! We received many compliments on the wedding. They had the ceremony indoors and it was so beautiful.
I had the pleasure of working with Kevin and the rest of the staff at SLCC for my wedding in 2011. We hosted a family dinner before the wedding, used the Club for lunch and pictures on the wedding day and we also hosted the post wedding brunch there. I could not have gotten through the wedding weekend if it weren't for Kevin and his incredible team. We even consulted with Kevin and his team on many logistical and staffing coordination decisions needed as our wedding took place down the street from the club at my parents home. I will never forget the moment I arrived at the Club on the wedding day. It was down pouring and I thought there was no way it was going to clear up before the ceremony. As I walked down the steps of the bus and the door opened, Kevin was there to greet me with a large golf umbrella. He walked me all the way to the front door so I wouldn't get a drop on me and told me the rain would stop and it would clear up. About an hour later, the sun came out and we were able to spend the afternoon taking pictures all around the Club. We were also able to have the outdoor ceremony I had planned. Kevin was right! Kevin was always there to answer any questions I had, customized menus for us for every event (which meant they provided whatever we wanted!) and made our wedding weekend truly memorable by providing a home base for us during the wedding day. Kevin and his team were amazing and I would not have had the perfect wedding weekend if it weren't for them. It was a gorgeous weekend and we were so fortunate to have been able to use the Club's amenities for the wedding weekend. I would recommend the Spring Lake Country Club to anyone looking to hosting a wedding or an event there. Thank you SLCC!!
Spring Lake CC was absolutely gorgeous as our wedding venue, we got married in November and opted for the inside ceremony in front of the fireplace, and it was perfect. The setting was beautiful and romantic. The food was absolutely amazing and we got a lot of compliments on it, the servers were seamless and perfect. The bartenders remembered guests and their preferred drinks. Rachel, the wedding coordinator, was so professional and perfect to work with. She helped ensure our day was everything we envisioned and more.
When we went and looked at SLCC for our wedding reception/ceremony location I was so happy because I knew I found the place. It is SO beautiful there! Little did I know that I would have a very rocky experience with SLCC. While working with SLCC they went through FOUR different wedding coordinators! I wish I was exaggerating but I am not. About a month before our wedding I e-mailed the wedding coordinator and asked for an estimated balance of what we owe. All was great until I e-mailed the coordinator a week before the wedding and asked for a final balance of what we owed. Mind you, our numbers had changed by two people so it was nothing drastic. The first invoice that we received said we still owed $6,000-that was far from correct and when I called SLCC the coordinator argued with me until she realized she made an error. When we received the “correct” bill it said that we still owed over four times the amount we were planning on owing. I was obviously in a panic because I was counting on our estimate being within a few hundred dollars of what we would need to pay. Panicked I called the country club and asked to speak with a manager. The manager was somewhat helpful and agreed that the estimate should be within a few hundred dollars of the final amount. After all, what is the point of an estimate if it doesn’t come close to the final amount? After the manager reviewed our information he realized that it was a mistake on the country clubs part and they did not have service charges and the Michigan taxes on our bill.(Over $1,000 of charges) Even though it was not a mistake that my fiancé or I made we had to pay the final amount. All that was offered to us was an upgrade of chairs, which we appreciated, but that was it! We were beyond upset with the country club. To add to the issues the day of the rehearsal we were told that someone would be down to help us at approx. 5:30…we waited 20 mins when we finally had to go get help ourselves. When we went and got help we were told that they usually don’t help with this stuff??? I was shocked because I was told something else the day before!! While we had a lot of issues with SLCC the food was good and the venue was beautiful. I would recommend that if someone was seriously considering getting married there they make sure that the estimates they are getting are 100% accurate and that the coordinators are communicating so that you can have some help!! The last thing that a bride needs is the stress of not having a coordinator there the day of or the day before their wedding. Luckily, the last coordinator, Rachel seemed very sweet and helpful so hopefully she stays and helps them out because they definitely need it!
We were so happy we decided on Spring Lake Country Club for our wedding reception. The setting and venue are beautiful. And the food and staff were great as well. Rose, the wedding coordinator, was nice to work with and always answered my emails promptly. To my knowledge, everything went smoothly throughout our night! The head table had a dedicated server which was a nice bonus. The weather that day was gorgeous so guests really appreciated the patio area during social hour. And the separate bar area is a nice touch too if you want to get away from the dance floor a bit.
We had a great experience and would recommend to others!
Originally when we first visited SLCC we had fell in love with the room and how the bar is separate and a big room. We also had heard so many good things about the food. The food was our most important. Following up to the day we had so much help from the coordinator and the country club to make it the best day of our lives and make it everything we wanted. They were so much help and read our minds! they were great the night of making sure everything was in order as well. The night went as smooth as possible and got so many compliments from our guests. There are still people talking about our reception (which of course is what we were hoping for). Everyone loved our food, there was no complaints and everyone loved the service that SLCC had to offer. There is so much space and so many different rooms you can utilize its so helpful so its not crowded. I would highly recommend SLCC to anyone. The only thing is, it can be pricy, of course you are def. paying for what you get plus some so its worth it. But it has to fit in your budget.
We knew we’d have our wedding at SLCC from the start. My Dad lives across the lake and we live in Chicago so it made sense to have him close by. We also were so excited to have our friends and family enjoy the beautiful area.
I had read semi-poor reviews prior to booking, all seemed to stem from the event coordinator’s lack of communication. When we booked our wedding we initially put a deposit for a Friday to take advantage of Friday/Sunday/Off-season savings package. WHAT A DEAL! Then the event coordinator left and a new person stepped in. I was very concerned, but Dana went above and beyond to make the transition positive. Then, Dana let us know that our wedding was on the same weekend as the clubs’ largest event. Needless to say, we were upset and worried about the service we would receive competing against members, crowded facilities, etc. She quickly asked her manager if there was anything they could do and offered us another Saturday at the same Friday package price. WOW. My fiancé, father and I were so blown away by their offer we had to say yes. This did cause us to lose our deposit with a fabulous photographer though.
Dana was more than accommodating. She was pleasant and listened during each of our meetings. She made all my ideas with table arrangements come to fruition. When we got to Michigan a few days before the wedding we noticed the ceremony lawn was scorched (there was a major drought and heat wave). I was a bit ticked off because the golf course grounds looked immaculate and now we’d be getting married on crusty, brown, dried up grass. We called and pointed this out to the club and they began watering the ceremony area immediately. It was too little, too late. BUT their prompt attention to it made up for the looks. The wedding the next weekend had a nice green lawn, I felt better that the watering wasn’t for nothing!
Rose, Dana’s assistant was there during the day of the wedding. She was excellent. The guests all said the food was the best wedding food they’d ever had. I was sad to miss the cocktail hour and passed canapés, so Rose had a plate containing each piece set at my seat. She took the bridal party’s drink orders so we’d have cocktails during dinner when the bar was closed. The dance floor was HUGE and is great for those who want dancing to be the main event (we had 200 guests). The recommended DJ, Greg Martin of Entertainment on the Move, was amazing. We were weary at first, but he knew what songs to play when. He also did an excellent job hosting. The line at the bar was never long; the liquor options were very good. They did a nice coffee station for us too. Also, they cut the cake quickly and served it to each guest at their seat as a course which was much appreciated. The extra was cut up and placed on a table for people to get seconds. How thoughtful!
There was an ant problem at the ceremony site. They were crawling all over us during the ceremony, I could see them on my grooms jacket. I got bit on my butt during it. I had to stop the show, whip up my dress behind the tree, and have my sister get it off. It hurt worse than a bee sting.
All in all, Dana and Rose made our day amazing! We would recommend anyone get married at SLCC!

The wonderful staff at SLCC went out of their way to make my day stress-free and beautiful. Their affordable all-inclusive wedding package made my decisions easy and laid out my options clearly. They were responsive through the planning process and got me amazing deals on my other vendors.
We had planned for an outdoor ceremony, but it absolutely poured rain all day. The staff quickly accommodated the weather, and set up a gorgeous, candle-lit space on the dance floor for us. While it wasn't what we expected, SLCC did an absolutely amazing job keeping us calm and ensuring we had a gorgeous wedding.
For the level of service we received and how delicious the food was and how smoothly everything went, I can't believe how little we paid. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
On the con-side, I would have appreciated it if they had been a little more responsive during the early stages of our planning. However, I understand that every wedding can't be their number one priority all the time and think this would be true with other vendors as well.
We had our wedding on a Sunday of a holiday weekend and we got the room rental for free and an all inclusive package to use for food drinks etc. Great place and service! Dana was great to work with!
I am so happy we decided to have the wedding at SLCC. The wedding was beautiful and the staff was incredibly helpful. We had our wedding outside and it was absolutely stunning. We had cocktail hour out on the patio which overlooks the golf course and then the reception was in the ballroom and was set up exactly how we wanted it. The staff really helped make things run smoothly. It was perfect.
Scoring a reservation at SLCC for our daughter's wedding was the first step in choosing the wedding date. We needed a beautiful location for wedding and reception with incredible service and food. There is no other choice we could have made with our expectation of perfection.
Gorgeous outdoor waterfront wedding area, fantastic patio for cocktails and amazing...no.. Jaw dropping ballroom for the reception. Our daughter got the fairy tale at SLCC
Gorgeous ceremony site! Beautiful reception room. The food was hit or miss, some entrees were great and some were average.
Management staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the even staff was not.
I would also not recommend this venue if you think you'd like to party all night. They only have the bar open until 11pm.
Pretty pricey and many, many rules. Make sure you save every email/communication. But very professional and great food.
Very nice facilities. Food was amazing and great service
The management was wonderful, the service staff was flawless and the food at SLCC is fabulous. The view of Spring Lake and the prestine golf course were wonderful for photos and for our guests to enjoy.
