if i could give 0 stars- didn’t feel comfortable with Covid19 and wanted to just have our ceremony at the church with family as safety is more important than a party and they refuse to give us our money back. super disheartening especially during a time when things are financially difficult. They also stopped communicating when we wanted to cancel and asked about even a partial refund
The entire staff at the Springside Inn were an absolute joy to work with. Starting from our first meeting with Noreen, my husband and I were warmly welcomed and very attentively tended to. Throughout our planning process Noreen and Christine answered every question, eased our nerves, worked with our vendors, and co-created a vision with us that was honestly even better than we could have imagined! Our wedding weekend was expertly curated and went off without any hiccups (at least that we were made aware of)! My girls and I got ready on the third floor while my husband and the guys got ready on the second floor -- it was such a special touch to be able to stay right at the inn in the gorgeous guest rooms and be able to have all of our bridal party getting ready on the day of at the same time. The grounds of the inn were the perfect back drop for our wedding photos, photos taken in The Grove are some of our favorite photos of the entire day. Our guests raved about cocktail hour and dinner and were so pleased with being able to stop by the restaurant bar if they arrived to the reception early. We had a beautiful brunch in Oak and Vine restaurant for immediate family the next day. From beginning to end, the Springside Inn made our wedding feel effortless. I wholeheartedly recommend!
Springside has the most amazing team and made the entire wedding planning process easy! They were eager to help us have the prefect day.
We loved this venue! Wedding was on October 28, 2017. Everything went great! They were so helpful in coordinating the details of the day and accommodating any last minute changes that I had. The food was fantastic! Everything was reasonably priced. They have so much experience with weddings.
From day one, the Springside Inn was absolutely wonderful to work with. Our wedding was rather large (300 ppl,) but the staff pulled off a wonderful evening with delicious food, beautiful grounds, and a large dancefloor. I felt as the staff at Springside was family during the planning process.
I can not say enough good about Springside Inn! Sean, the owner, was fantastic to work with! We had our wedding and reception at Springside Inn in August 2016. Our guests raved at how beautiful the ceremony site was (The Grove) and how great all of the food tasted! Leading up to the wedding, we met with Sean and Noreen (the in house wedding planner) numerous times. When it came time for our wedding, Noreen and staff were fantastic although she did seem overwhelmed at times. At the end of the night, the staff stopped my parents and explained that they owed more money for the reception. When they opened their accounting book, my mom pointed out that the amount had been paid in full the day before. She was very embarrassed after such a great event! Besides this one hiccup, we loved working with Sean and Noreen and just wish that Noreen had more help with the event!
We had our rehearsal dinner on the porches here for our May 2016 wedding. It was very conveniently located to our venue at Emerson Park. I have been to many different events here in the past and thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate. Beth and Sean were easy to contact and very accommodating to food allergies and last minute changes we made. I love the family style serving. Everyone loved the variety of food and had full bellies before we left. Thanks again for everything!
We’ll try to keep this review manageably brief, as we don’t want anyone to get bored and stop reading. In short – you really, really, have to go with the Springside Inn! It is hard to emphatically enough explain how easy and fun working with Sean and Noreen and the crew was in the run-up to our wedding this past June. From the very outset they were so warm, genuinely excited for us, and incredibly accommodating. Every request we had or idea for the planning, ceremony, food, drink, decorating, was answered by Sean with a “Yeah, we can do that!”, and he, and everyone at the Springside, delivered.
When first we visited last year, the absolutely gorgeous Grove behind the inn itself was only a twinkle in Sean’s eye, but he was so energetic and driven to make it a reality, and he convinced us of his vision, promising that it would be complete by the wedding. He was true to his word, and it was (and is!) spectacular! We love the inn, its sublimely cozy rooms have so much charm and character (the beds are so comfy, plus awesome tubs!), its indoor event space is beautiful and was perfect for our cocktail hour and reception, its backyard is so rustic and serene, with a canopy of trees forming a natural cathedral for our ceremony. We loved all of it, but we booked it truly because of the wonderful people there, and our confidence in them was not misplaced! Its hard to overstate how important it is in the planning of such a major event to work with people that are experienced, flexible, extremely responsive to email inquiries and calls, and with a good sense of humor about the stresses that come with two families with strong opinions! In the menu design and selection of alcohol, we were given huge latitude to customize (raw bar! S’mores station! Local gin, vodka, and hard cider! Signature cocktail with Laphroaig 10yr!), and we were even granted, without a second thought, a complete second tasting when it was decided to incorporate a chicken dish in the menu.
Speaking of food, it was amazing! The new chef is phenomenal, and everyone raved about dinner. Steaks were succulent and spot on for temp, the salmon and chicken dishes were mouth-watering and cooked to perfection, and the vegetarian dish, a fantastic phyllo pastry stuffed with roasted vegetables over celery root puree, was amazing – definitely not the typical half-hearted attempt to placate the herbivores. Service was impeccable, and Noreen was there the whole way through, from photos to ceremony to dancing, guiding the process with aplomb. Never did we feel rushed, or unsatisfied, or that we were merely a job to do; we felt like family. We are so thankful for all of the hard work they put in, and could not have been happier. Sean and company are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience of guests, and we can’t wait to visit again for a weekend away! Get married there! And if you’re not getting married, or already are, go there anyway!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception in July 2016 at the Springside Inn after booking it over a year earlier and we are so happy with our decision. The grove where we had our ceremony was not even under construction yet when we booked the Springside but we felt that the interior ballroom space was so nice that even if it hadn't been a nice day the wedding still would have been amazing just being inside. Noreen and Sean (and later Christine and Nick as well) were all so nice and amazing to work with. It was great to work with people that have such a passion for what they do and you can tell they are a well oiled wedding machine over there. We booked the whole place so we had it all to ourselves and we are glad we went that route since we did utilize pretty much all of the spaces at one point or another. Noreen went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and was an amazing wedding coordinator who made sure everything was planned out perfectly to the T. The Springside staff even went as far as to buy and plant flowers on the morning of the ceremony for the grove where the ceremony would be held after my mother in law made a comment on how it was too bad the flowers hadn't bloomed behind the ceremony area, which was in no way expected but really just showed how far their staff is willing to go for their customers and made our experience that much more special. There happened to be a big event the next day at Springside and so they were going to be setting up in a different area on the day of our wedding but Sean took the time to personally discuss this with me and reassure me that nothing would interfere with the areas where the wedding would be, which it did not. The next day our brunch was a little hectic because we hadn't realized the normal Sunday brunch would be closed due to the event ,but again, the Springside staff came through for us and we were still able to have our brunch (which is the best brunch buffet ever btw). The food at dinner was also great and they let us do a poutine station grand finale which was a huge hit with the guests as well. For our open bar, we were able to select 2 local craft beers and the bartender, Nick, was even able to special order the type of Scotch my Husband likes for his signature drink which was something that most other wedding venues would not take the time to do. Having our wedding at the Springside Inn allowed us to have a truly special, personalized experience which fit us as a couple which seems pretty rare with other wedding venues that don't have as much leeway or the customer service to pull off a wedding like that. So many people came up to us during and after the wedding to tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that is in large part due to the amazing staff and venue of the Springside Inn. Sean and Noreen feel like family now and we can't wait to celebrate our anniversaries (and just regular dinner outings) there for many years to come!
We had our reception at the Point, owned by Springside Inn. It's a renovated old-style church about 0.5 mi up the road from the Inn. Our reception was about 75 people, which seemed to be the perfect size for this venue. I loved the look, with it's stained glass windows. They let us in the night before to decorate, and in addition to table decor, we hung lights across the ceiling, making it magical. The price has gone up since we signed our contract, but still well worth it. The servers/bartender were very attentive and friendly.
We were a little bit late reserving a venue for our wedding, so we were even happier to get in. The Springside was our first choice. Jocelyn was absolutely amazing to work with - she took all the stress away, and helped us design the reception just the way we wanted - she even took care of the cake! When we scrambled for time getting out room set up with decorations, she had already taken care of it. The food was delicious, the service out of this world. We couldn't have been happier! The icing on the cake was spending our wedding night in one of the gorgeous suites.
Beautiful and gorgeous are the two words to describe how my bridal shower was. We did a Sunday brunch and the food was out of this world. The old church was the perfect setting and the Springside did centerpieces and color napkins/tableclothes which were included in the price. Excellent time, all guests had many compliments.
There are a lot of wonderful things about the Springside Inn- the rooms are great- the new bar area Oak&Vine is lovely-but most importantly they were a pleasure to work with. I planned my wedding from Pittsburgh, PA while finishing my MA degree and they could not have been more responsive and amenable. I asked for tables outside for the smokers, and it was easy and simple. We decided on a menu and napkin color and what the table decoration would look like, and that was that. The planner checked in to confirm- I didn't need to worry because they had it under control. The mural in the main ballroom is a bit much, but it is not the end of the worlds- and if you have a band they can block most of it out. I think my favorite part of booking the Springside Inn is that the catering is done in house, so you only have to work with one person for fantastic food and fantastic venue. AND THE FOOD! We made it a point to eat at our wedding- because we really loved the meals when we taste tested- and the food was even better at the wedding. Tender chicken! Perfect Beef Tenderloin! The waitstaff was also fantastic, the head waitress made sure we got our meal served first so that we'd have time to eat and visit every table before the dancing began. They helped make our day and the party absolutely perfect. THANK YOU SPRINGSIDE! Perhaps we'll be back for an anniversary sometime in the future!
This was a beautiful location for our wedding reception (inside and outside). The service was wonderful and the food was plentiful and delicious.
We used the Springside Inn for our off-site catering at Anyela's Vineyards. We worked primarily with Carol Faulkner. She was very easy to work with and very accommodating. There were many different menu items, and the prices were very reasonable. They were very easy to work with even though we were not having our wedding reception at the inn. We really appreciated that Carol (the catering director) was present for the entire reception. She oversaw the set up of the tent, tables, chairs, and stage for the band. The food was also very tasty!
My guests enjoyed their meals very much and service was superb. We had a good mix of classic plated dinner meals and cocktail food with some gourmet passed appetizers, so overall it was a crowd pleaser. There was plenty of food and everyone was happy with the selection.
We had an absolutely beautiful wedding at the Springside Inn! Many guests said that it was the best meal they had ever eaten at a wedding! We were more than pleased with everything!
Carol was so wonderful and easy to work with. All of the staff was very accommodating for my reception. The cost was very reasonable for everything that was included and I was very happy with the way everything turned out on our wedding day!
An old country inn with beautiful outside grounds for ceremony and photos and nice room for a large reception.;They have 2 people that are in charge of weddings at 2 different locations and sometimes each place has 2 weddings at it a day and they can be a little distracted and seem like they are running around.
