My husband and had the British/American wedding of my dreams thanks to Carla Keeney (the event planner at the club). I cannot say enough good things about her. She is not a normal planner in terms of that she goes ABOVE and BEYOND to make the day perfect. Most venue coordinators do what is needed to make the day happen, but not like Carla. I am very type A and organized, and she was right there along with me ensuring I felt happy and comfortable. She helped every step of the way, recommending vendors, helping with centerpieces and flowers, working within our budget, and communicating with us even on her days off. The country club is a stunning location any time of season, the food is amazing (we got feedback its some of the best wedding food they have ever had), and the service is great! I belonged this to club when I was little so it was always my dream to have my wedding here. She took that very seriously and from day one was by my side. She always had our best intentions at heart and overall a wonderful, kind woman who wants you to have a terrific day - her type is not easy to find in the wedding industry. Carla the coordinator was a crucial piece by giving helpful tips through the planning process as well as helping to facilitate the day. She gave helpful tips and well as provided great vendor recommendations. She will make your dream wedding day a reality!

St. Charles Country Club and Carla went above and beyond to make our wedding a huge success. We began working with Carla in 2019, and had to postpone our 2020 wedding 3 times. Not only did Carla make the transitions seamless, but she was flexible with our continuous changes of the event. Carla took care of every last detail to make our wedding the one of my dreams. I was not stressed at all the week leading up to the wedding or the day of because I knew Carla was there to help and take care of it. Additionally, the staff and management at STCCC could not have been more accommodating and friendly. They helped with whatever we needed, and they helped make the day everything it was. I cannot recommend this venue and Carla enough!

My husband and I got married here earlier this month and I am still beaming! Everything about the wedding day and the entire planning process was absolutely perfect. I always thought I would be one of those brides that gets super stressed out and overwhelmed with the planning process. But as soon as I met Carla, the event coordinator for the Club, I knew we were in the best hands. She has decades of wedding experience and truly cares about you as a couple and making you happy. We had a strict budget, and Carla went SO above and beyond what we could have ever imagined to make it the wedding of our dreams. Her expertise was evident from the very beginning, and we never had any worries that everything would go smoothly. Knowing that she cared just as much about our day as we did took away so much of the stress of the whole process, and allowed us to just have fun. Carla helped with our flowers (which were BEYOND perfection) and completely transformed the ballroom into the perfect intimate setting for both our ceremony and reception. The food is amazing as well - and the service is amazing, so professional. Carla is so talented at making sure everything runs on time and smoothly - it seems like most weddings run behind schedule or feel like the dinner portion takes forever - we actually ran ahead of schedule which gave us even more time to dance and mingle after dinner! The venue has so many beautiful backdrops for photos, and whether the ceremony is inside or outside, you can't go wrong. So many of our guests were raving over the beautiful view of the sunset from the veranda and got some amazing photos! All of our guests had a great time - my husband and I and our parents are still getting compliments on how beautiful the evening was. I truly don't think anything could have been more perfect about our wedding day.

WEDDING AT STCC! First of all, let me say that 5 stars is not enough to rate Carla. Carla is out of this world amazing. I would give her all the stars if I could! I cannot even believe how much of a breeze this wedding was for my husband and me because of Carla. I hear horror stories of brides going crazy trying to plan their weddings, but Carla handled it in a professional and stress-free way. Carla knew exactly what I wanted from the first meeting I had with her and I trusted her the whole way to do what she does best: weddings! I can truly say that the venue was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. More beautiful than I could have imagined. The food was delicious. And everything about the wedding went smooth. Carla's recommendations for vendors were absolutely amazing. From the DJ, to the cake, to the flowers, everything was absolutely gorgeous. Carla even surprised me with a beautifully decorated swing on the golf course. I wanted to cry I was so happy and pleased with how the whole evening went! Weeks later we are still getting compliments, and even thank you notes (for our own wedding!) because of Carla. We could not have done it without Carla, and the appreciation I have for what she does is out of this world! If you are looking for someone that truly listens to your vision and has a true talent in the wedding world, Carla is your girl!

Stop your search right now and pick this club. The woman who coordinates their weddings, Carla, is an absolute dream come true. She was the sweetest woman to work with and went above and beyond to make my dreams come true. She helped with flowers, table numbers, our cake, dessert table, candles/decor and so much more. Not to mention... the food is AMAZING!!! I have been officially ruined for all other weddings because of how much I loved ours. Usually you have a good tasting but the food the night of is meh... not here!! Their cook is fabulous and the food comes out fresh and hot. Do yourself a favor... get the pretzel encrusted chicken.

St. Charles Country Club was a dream setting for our wedding. Carla is absolutely amazing!! She captured our vision and helped us with making decisions since she has over 30 years experience in the business. Carla helped us with cake, flowers, and the DJ. She made our outdoor ceremony space absolutely gorgeous, and the reception space was beautiful. I'm not sure how other brides plan their weddings without her, because she made things completely stress free! The food was delicious (we had the pretzel crusted chicken and everyone raved about it!) and every detail was perfect. Thank you St. Charles Country Club!

Having grown up in Saint Charles, I knew that I wanted to get married in my hometown. We looked everywhere in the area and this was our favorite - the ballroom, balcony, and remote golf course were all so beautiful. We picked it mainly for how it looked. What we did not know when we were picking this location, was how amazing the food, service, and event coordinator, Carla would be. Our guests raved about the food ( we had the pretzel crusted chicken), and everyone seemed to have a genuinely good time. Carla and her team checked on us and our guests frequently- kept our drinks full, and managed the timeline and event from start to finish- keeping things moving along in an efficient manner. She had lots of ideas and suggestions during the planning process, saved us money with some decor she already had at the venue , and made all of our visions come to reality on the day. She also came up with creative solutions for things that went wrong ( our seating chart had the wrong date on it-and she is the one that noticed and was able to fix it without my noticing) Highly recommend!

I could not have been happier with St. Charles Country Club for my reception. Carla was absolutely amazing! She coordinated our timeline leading up to the day and ensured the night of ran like clockwork. The food was all served in perfect timing, and she ensured the whole bridal party was fed. She even boxed up 2 meals for my flowergirl who got sick and her grandmother who had to take her home early. So sweet of her! She also decorated the room exactly how I wanted it. I had a vision but am not the best at articulating it or putting it together. She must have read my mind because it turned out amazingly! It was so classy and upscale, with all the details I was looking for. It was beautiful! I also really appreciated her vendor recommendations; everyone was reasonably priced and great to work with. I also really appreciated her letting us use the course for the engagement pictures and wedding pictures. They turned out beautifully! All in all I could not have asked for a better venue and do not know what I would have done without Carla's help! Thank you, thank you!

This review is long overdue considering my husband and I got married in June 2016! However my delay does not take away from how amazing the Saint Charles Country Club was as our wedding venue! We looked into a few really nice venues in/near the ST. Charles area but here are a few of the reasons we picked SCCC as our venue: - The outdoor space. Luckily it did not rain on our wedding day so we were able to utilize the outdoor space quite a bit. The country club allowed the photographers and bridal party to use the golf carts to drive on the course and find a good spot to take pictures. Additionally, the country club has a cute swing and bridge setup outside which made for other great pictures. Another nice element of the outdoor space was the outdoor patio. - The cocktail room. This was one of the reasons I picked the SCCC as our venue. The cocktail room was separated from the main venue which was nice during cocktail hour to have a big space for our guests but also during the reception. It gave guests a place to step away, grab a drink and carry-on a conversation. I looked at a few different venues that had a beautiful outdoor cocktail space but if it rained the secondary option would not have fit the number of guests we had nor was it a nice-looking room. - The reception room. Big space with a lot of natural lighting and a lot of options to put the head table, decorate and decide on a seating chart. - The food. Absolutely fantastic as the wine! I continue to get compliments regarding this. - Last but not least, CARLA! She is the ultimate reason for us choosing the venue - she is FABULOUS! Don't believe me, just call the Country Club and talk to her. She made my day perfect, stress-free and I can't thank her enough!

We had our wedding here a couple of weeks ago, and I cannot say more good things about St. Charles Country Club & the venue coordinator, Carla. They made our wedding absolutely STUNNING and so stress free. When we first saw this venue, the ballroom won us over, but so did the country club's coordinator, Carla. We immediately were impressed by her and knew we wanted her to work with us on our wedding. We also had great food, which is important to us, since a wedding is essentially dinner with your guests! We went with the pretzel crusted chicken & steak filet - our guests couldn't stop raving about it! Absolutely recommend the pretzel crusted chicken - it's a different twist to your traditional wedding menu, but it is delicious and you will not forget it! Carla is wonderful to work with - she helped answer all of the questions I had. I will say I am a bit of a control freak, which can be very stressful when planning a wedding, so to have Carla say to me "Just relax - I will make sure it's a perfect day", was refreshing to hear. We had both our ceremony and reception here, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. Even with a minor glitch with the ceremony music, Carla was able to talk with our videographers to fix up the flub. She went above and beyond to help us! I will say this - you will NOT regret using St. Charles Country Club for your wedding. From the ceremony, to the reception decor, Carla's willingness to make every last detail perfect -- it was a blessing to have them as a part of our big day. I'm giving this great review because I truly believe St. Charles is THE best venue for your wedding. My husband and I were able to fully enjoy our day (granted it went by too fast!) and I know we made the best choice in choosing St. Charles.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe our experience at the St. Charles Country Club, and Carla Keeney, event manager for the club. Set in the rolling hills along the Fox River in St. Charles, SCCC is a stunning property. The facility is elegant in every way. Carla is a coordinator, creative genius, flower designer, mind-reader and magician! The club caters only one wedding at a time, so you can decorate the hallways, restrooms, and hall tables with your own items which carry the theme of the wedding. In our case, the bride and groom were band teachers and we had music instruments, pillows, table lamps, and even curtains, all with music accents. Carla is a genius at creating displays which showcase and enhance your special items. The Food: Delicious hors d'oeuvres were served in a lovely lounge with a huge stone fireplace and a wall of windows overlooking the golf course. (The bacon-wrapped dates were amazing!) At dinner time, the doors were opened to create a grand entrance to the breathtakingly beautiful dining room, glimmering with candlelight and enhanced by blue uplights (provided by our DJ). Soup was served immediately, followed by the toasts, then salad, main course, and cake. We served pretzel-encrusted chicken and honey lacquered salmon with julienne vegetable bundles and wild mushroom risotto. Both entrees were delicious, served hot, nothing was dry or overcooked. Food service was fast and efficient. Children's meals were delivered first - what a thoughtful, smart thing to do! Runners brought the trays of food to the serving stations and wait staff delivered them to the tables. Dietary restrictions were graciously accommodated. A late-night snack of homemade hot pizza was served around 10pm. Carla provided excellent recommendations for the other wedding service providers (e.g. flowers, DJ, cake) which saved us money on those items. My daughter and son-in-law’s reception was perfect – there isn’t a single thing we would do differently. Note about the pricing: SCCC quotes prices which include food, alcohol, tax and gratuity. Every other facility I visited gave prices BEFORE tax and gratuity. Note this when comparing prices. Also, there are many value-added amenities with SCCC (especially Carla herself!) which other places can’t or don’t offer.

I had my wedding reception at St. Charles Country Club on August 3, 2013. St. Charles Country Club and Carla Keeney were such a pleasure to work with when planning my wedding. Carla was always quick to respond to my e-mails and calls. Every meeting we had went smoothly and would just get us more and more excited for our big day. Never once did I have any doubt on how our wedding reception would turn out because Carla made it very easy to trust her. She has been doing this for years and really knows her stuff. Provided us with many different vendors to choose from as well, which helped out a lot! The wedding day itself, beautiful! We were blessed with great weather so we were allowed to take pictures out on the grounds of the country club. Carla provided us with golf carts too! The decor and the little details looked perfect and exactly what I wanted. All my guests could seriously not stop talking about the beautiful venue and oh my gosh!!, the delicious food! Seriously though, the food at St. Charles Country Club is out of this world. Carla and the staff did a fabulous job and provided the best reception for my husband and I. I will recommend this beautiful and elegant country club to everyone I know getting married.

We chose St. Charles Country Club for our wedding reception in August of 2012. We knew we wanted to have our reception in the Chicago suburbs, but there a lot of options to choose from and it can be overwhelming. For us, it was easy, as I grew up in St. Charles and we were members there years ago. I knew that Carla and Deb, who are both in charge of the weddings at St.Charles CC, are the best in the business at what they do. And this proved to be very true. The first time I took my groom to see the venue, he was very impressed. The clubhouse is beautiful and the golf course serves as a gorgeous backdrop for any wedding or reception. They do some wedding ceremonies outside, but we opted to have ours at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church just a mile down the road. It is one of the prettiest churches in the area and the proximity makes for a great combination. From the first time we met with Carla to discuss the wedding details, she made it clear that she would help with everything and she did! It was like having a wedding planner included with the venue which was a big deal to us as we have very busy schedules and didn't have as much time to pay attention to the details. She had a vendor recommendation for everything and we took a lot of her advice. She also is the co-owner of a floral company, Debi's Designs, that did an incredible job! All I did was tell her the colors of our wedding - blue and purple - and she created all the arrangements, bouquets and centerpieces! Everyone commented on how amazing the flowers were and the best part is the prices were reasonable too! Besides the assistance with the planning process, everyone at St. Charles CC made sure the day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. From the valet when people arrived to the cocktail area set up and the Chinese lanterns on the patio... to the head table, the lighting and room ambience, and the attentive service of the bartenders and servers... Every single thing went as planned! Everyone raved about the appetizers, soup, salad, entree and dessert! The bars were well staffed and we even had Chicago pizza as a late night snack! The sign of a great party is when no one wants it to end and this was definitely how our wedding was at St. Charles. Our guests danced all night and at midnight, almost everyone was still there! No one wanted to leave! We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to! Overall, our experience at St. Charles was amazing. We would recommend St. Charles CC to anyone looking for a first class wedding experience!

Carla is the most talented florist ever. She is amazing and personalizes your wedding because she is such a great listener and can really understand what you want! The flowers were breathtaking!!
